Walked in here randomly a few months back.I do not know what is up with this place but it is the best liquor store in the area.Well lit, good stock/products, reasonable prices. VERY CLEAN and the attached restaurant always smells so good.

Best selection of wine I have seen at a liquor store. Be prepared to pay a bit more but keep in mind it is a price for convenience.

Ive been coming here for 9 years now and the original owners Mr and Mrs. Lee were there, but as of Oct a new owner has taken over and is doing a wonderful job in remodeling the store. We will see how all turns out:) only thing they need is Security out front, sometimes theres a bunch of weirdos out front bothering and begging for money!

Well Hawthornians the original owners of the pound&penny sold the store its new owners under new management thats the reason there remodeling the inside if im correct their some type of middle eastern folk they seem cool i guess they have to adapt to there customers well there every day neihborhood customers anyway as well as we have to adapt to them. But for the most part its the same store just under new management a little brighter inside.
