Dont make the same mistake I made...Buy your glasses from Bowen Optical!!! I mistakenly bought my first pair of glasses from my Optometrist and over paid. Get your Rx from your eye Dr. and then immediately head over to Gary and let him fit your glasses. He does a great job and goes above and beyond in taking care of his customers. Not only did he make a second pair for me he also fixed the frame of the pair I did not originally buy from him and he mailed my glasses to me when I was out of town so I would have them for the long drive home.You wont be disappointed. I went to another optician and got my original prescription lenses. Multiple trips back trying to make them understand something was wrong with my lenses resulted in nothing but frustration. I struggled with those glasses a year with terrible eye strain, literal pain in my eyes, and constant frustration.Then I went to Gary Bowen who tweaked my lens prescription and made my first pair. OH MY GOODNESS! Almost immediate relief from the constant strain, no more struggling! Then, being a jeweler doing close up work, I had him make me a pair of work glasses. Using them at my work bench or on the computer is another OH MY GOODNESS! I feel normal and able to function again. It is so good to go through the day with some semblance of normalcy, without the eye strain and resulting stress.Dont struggle with the mass produced typical optical shop junk. This is, without a doubt, the best and most reasonably priced optical shop I’ve ever found. I was having problems with the apparent thickness of my lenses made at other places. A neighbor referred me to Gary at Bowen. Gary made lenses for me that both looked and functioned better, for a reasonable price too! Ever since I always go back to Bowen and all the members of my family too, adults and children. I get true personal service with fast completion. If I or my children break something, they usually repair it right way, while I wait (of course,if it can be fixed-children!). I haven’t gone anywhere else for years now.

This is a rare find! To receive such great personal service and to have your lenses custom made in house with such precision and quality is still available only at one place. Bowen Optical is that place with Garry and his entire staff making you feel like family. His prices are very reasonable for the service and quality you receive. I will not go anywhere else.

Dale was awesome in helping my daughter and I pick out our frames! I got my first progressive lenses and couldn’t read much from the bottom, so Gary Bowen remade my lenses twice and got them just right! They definitely care about the customer and go above and beyond! A great experience for sure!

Everyone I have ever referred to Bowen Optical has come back more than pleased by their experience. When they moved into my building I wondered who in the world would find them since they aren’t on the main drag. Then I saw their selection of high fashion frames at low fashion prices and began to understand why someone would seek them out. In addition to quality and price the service is excellent. You won’t find nicer folk than Gary Bowen and his staff.And another plus? Bowen Optical is owned by someone in the local community who pays taxes and tithe locally, someone who cares about and sponsors our local schools and community events. I just picked up a pair of bifocals and a pair of reading glasses from Bowen Optical and I couldnt be happier. Mr. Bowen is a genius at lens construction and fitting the frames. His staff members are very professional and pleasant to deal with as well.

I recently had an unfortunate accident involving a pair of Wal-mart Vision Center glasses I had owned for over 2 years. They were destroyed, and I needed help and fast. I called Gary on a Friday afternoon just as places were starting to close for the weekend. My problem was that since it had been 2 years, I needed a new vision test along with glasses and I was afraid no one would have time to see me with such short notice. Also, with my experience with Wal-mart, I was expecting to have to settle for a temporary pair of contacts while my glasses would arrive a week or so later. To my amazement, he was able to work me in and I walked out with an updated Rx and glasses! He makes the lenses in-house, custom tailored to each customer!!! I didnt even know places did that. Ultimately I was extremely pleased with my experience. Gary and his team have my business from now on.
