I called over a week ago to ask about insurance questions and the girl at the front desk named Alex or Alexis, (sorry I cant remember the name but its along those lines) but she was able to help me so much with all my questions. I am planning on coming in soon because the customer service already sounds amazing !!
I’ve been going to Eye Care Plus since I moved to the area. The staff is always friendly and greet you when you come thru the door. The doctor goes in to detail about my eye care and answers any concerns I may have.
Super great and easy experience. From the eye exam to picking out the lenses I needed everything was very professional and very courteous.
The visit was great and all of the staff delivered exceptional customer service. I was very intrigued at the measures they were taking to ensure all patients were safe during COVID. Appointments were spaced appropriately and screening as well as temperatures prior to entrance. Comfort level of the visit was awesome.
Run far far away from this place. The people are nice but the equipment is very very poor quality and they have a very small collection of glasses. I had to pay $300 for a pair of glasses after my insurance covered $150. The first doctor got my prescription very wrong. My axis was supposed to be 26 and she wrote 15. It took 4.5 weeks to come in and it was the wrong prescription in the right eye but perfect in the left. I saw another doctor and he changed it. I go in there today and the prescription is now wrong in both the left and right since he choose to change the left as well when I told them the left was perfect before. Their equipment feels very cheap. I kept telling the dr that I could not see out of the lense thing when he was testing me, it’s almost like it was scratched up. Go anywhere but here and save your money. They gave me a refund but had to keep 30% when your total is $403 ( which is the most I have ever had to pay for glasses) 30% is a lot. I wish I would have never walked in this store. My husband had a horrible experience as well

BEWARE!!! If you go here and get overcharged by hundreds -- youve been warned.$300 of just doctor charges of which $175 I was not informed. There were extra $50 of services charged. While seeing them in person and discussing the billing with their main office they sent my account to collections when this was supposed to all covered by my insurance and copays! I also volunteered to pay the bill to stop any confusion and they said not to worry since the insurance doesnt look right and needs to be contacted... FYI.... I pay my bills and have a credit rating of over 790 (at least I did until this).
This is by far the best eye care facility I’ve ever been to. Every person I interacted with was genuinely kind and made me 100% comfortable through every step of the process. They didn’t make me feel pressured into making decisions about contacts, glasses, or exams, but explained every option and discussed them with me so I could make the best informed decision. One day you just wake up and have a favorite place to get your eyes checked and Eyecare Plus is without doubt mine! You guys rock, thank you!
The eye doctors I have had go above & beyond to make sure that I got the absolute right prescription & care. If something doesnt feel or look quite right, they take time to make sure that it does. & they are very good with my teenagers, too. I have gotten the cutest glasses there! Great place.
Very pleasant, and knowledgeable at Hendersonville store this morning.
Scheduled an appointment during my lunch break after asking the agent several times if it would be finished in 30 minutes. She assured me it would. An hour and forty minutes in I had to beg the tech to finish up. I couldn’t leave because my eyes were already dilated. I was really lucky that my boss understood ( he had had a similar experience with them before). I told them I would need my script so I could order glasses online. I have an unfortunately big head and have to order XL frames, which they do not carry. $160 later they sent me home with half of my prescription. When I called assuming it had been a mistake, they told me that it was an additional $25 to get my PD. Never again. I’ll go back to Pearl where the WHOLE exam, prescription and all is $59.

The staff is so friendly and helpful. The Dr explained my condition so that I could understand. My glasses were ordered on Monday and I had them 2 days later. I would recommend Eyecare Plus to everyone!
Atmosphere is quiet which I love. The people that work there are so good with my kids! One has special needs and they have been great with him. Love this place! Awesome! Highly recommend!

I had a very pleasant experience. I walked in with no appointment and there was no problem getting me in the lady who took my info was supper nice the dr was great, the lady helping me pick my frames was great and patient very enjoyable visit will be bringing my kids soon
They were the best. I made an appointment, was seen in a timely manner. Then the lady helping me wrote out how much it would cost itemized, before I ever looked for glasses. On top of that, every employee gave me their help when I asked for an opinion on which pair of glasses looked better on my face. Great service! :)
Well I have to say this optometrist is one of the best but be prepared to be here from 2-4 hours just because of the tests before the glasses. Also the glasses can be pricey ranging say 300-700 dollars. Most of the staff are really friendly and nice a few can inpatient but overall not to bad. I think one of my favorite optometrist and Ill will be coming back for a long time.

One trip and only one. The negative reviews were correct.To keep this from being a long review, heres what they did without a lot of dialogue:- Sold a service that required two photos and forgot to shoot the second, taking an extra 30 minutes for my appointment.- Charged separate prescriptions to my insurance: one for glasses and one for contact lenses.- I asked for and was confirmed for home delivery of my contact lenses. They were delivered to the office.- Tried to charge me a second time for the contact lenses when I went to pick them up.- Was told my card would be charged $20 out of pocket for the exam (after copay and insurance credit) and was charged $180- Did not answer their phone during business hours, or answered and immediately disconnected.1* for the experience. This staff, while kind, clearly has no idea how to operate and Im the one who is suffering for it.They are getting a bonus star for Dr Shea, who was very professional, kind, and did a wonderful job.
Not very sure how to rate this please being it takes forever to get anything done the pricing is very expensive, also even if you don’t get the services they charge you. Put it this way a very expensive lesson learned

I had a Saturday appointment for daughter due to school schedule. While waiting I had time to try on and purchase glasses for myself. At 4:30 pm my daughter had not been seen. Our appointment was at 2:30. Everyone had been and I was informed by the Office Mgr. that it would be another 20-30 minutes. I’m having to contact my insurance to make sure I am not billed for this appointment.Maybe they need to bring in another doctor on Saturdays to help with appointments.I missed my other appointment waiting.

Really convenient, easy to make an appointment, and clean. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. Everything is also priced well and can meet any budget. Going to doctors always make me feel anxious but i felt comfortable here as soon as I walked in the door and was greeted by the front desk that made me feel welcomed. I would highly recommend this location!
I had an emergency eye situation with one of my employees, I called Eyecare and spoke with Tiffany and she handled everything over the phone in very professional manner so I sent my employee right over, they had to remove a metal fragment from his eye and they did a wonderful job of taking care of my technician,I have saved the eye centers info in my contacts and they will be who I will be using in the future,Thanks again,Bill Stafford

Unethical and absolutely do not recommend. They do extra tests for no reason and tell you it’s all covered under insurance. I have received over $1000 in bills for my family that we’re supposed to be covered. Do not care to explain anything and did not call back when I questioned it.

Wow! How is this place still in business. Would not recommend to anyone. Ordered contacts 2 weeks ago, followed up a week later, and said they forgot to order them due to turnover, when it was the same person that took my order. Said they will order again and take 3 days to get in, now saying it will be another week. Unfortunate because this is not the first time this has happened. Not even worth the one star that was given.
I went here a year ago and got an exam and glasses. When the glasses came in, they were so wrong they made me sick. The doctor checked everything again and insisted they were right, and said I was just having trouble getting used to them because my eyes changed so much since last time I got glasses. They changed the left lens slightly, allegedly to help with the adjustment period.It took almost 6 months for me to not have headaches every day from the glasses. Today, a year later, I went back to the optometrist I saw 2 years ago. My right lens was made totally wrong. Its made - .25 instead of +.25. My prescription hasnt changed at all since my old glasses were made 2 years ago. Run far away from this place! Totally incompetent doctor, and it caused me unnecessary health issues for a year until my insurance reset. At least I can go back to my old glasses.

I would leave zero stars if possible. They do not communicate well about the status of lenses and frames. I always had to call for them to say yeah it’s delayed or yeah it’s been sitting here. The first pair they ordered the wrong frames, the next ones they cut the frames attempting to put the lenses in, then the last pair were obviously used because the frames were stretched out and the strap wouldn’t stay on. They didn’t give us our case either! A new strap that I bought worked! These glasses have been for my special needs child. I foolishly went back for the last pair last fall because no one else in the area had pediatric flex frames, only to take my son in for his every 6 months exam to find out they had him in the wrong prescription!!! He’s non verbal autistic he can’t tell me something is off!!! How am I supposed to know? I’m at their mercy that they are doing their job. They are idiots and I wouldn’t trust them with anything! During that 6 months my son fell multiple times resulting in permanent scarring on his face under his eye. I called visionworks and they now carry Dillidalli frames. Much cheaper and way better same day service! I did not even bother attempting for them to correct the problem because they are incompetent. Go anywhere but here!
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!I waited an hour to be called back (yes I had an appt) while listening to a desk employee complain about working there, was pushed to pay $49 for some picture (I did not), portions of the exam performed by techs. The person that performed the usual “better one, better two” part (no clue who she was because she did not introduce herself) continually tried to push progressive lenses on me which I made very clear BEFORE the exam I do not want. I was pushed to do dilation even with notifying her I was driving. After telling me she could not correct my vision she said well let’s go back to the “pin hole” again and see if we can get it better. Aahhh, now she can improve it... with progressive lenses!! Then the lined bifocals are pushed. She never said a word about the astigmatism I’ve had for years. I grabbed my purse, said I’m done and walked out to the desk. This person followed me to the front desk continuing to talk about my vision and progressive lenses, then the same woman complaining about her job decides to tell me all about her vision and glasses. This was direct violation of hippa to discuss my situation in a crowded lobby. I was given my prescription “in case I decided to come back or even buy them elsewhere.” Why would I want a prescription for exactly what I made very clear I do not want and will not buy?! This nightmare wasted THREE HOURS of my time!! I left with a receipt and a useless prescription. NEVER AGAIN!!! Just awful!!Ps I love that every response to every negative review is the exact same words.
First off let me start by saying the exam was really well orchestrated and the doctor was very professional the only problem I had was the lack of patience and extreme disrespectfulness one of the doctors technicians had I believe her name was odallus or something around that, when I asked what some of the test she was performing were for she just told me to ask the doctor( how are you gonna run teats you don’t understand), not that bad I suppose but when I was checking out I overheard her talking to another coworker in Spanish(must’ve thought I couldn’t speak it) about how dumb some people are and that they shouldn’t ask dumb questions about stuff they agreed to do, I’m unsure if this was directed towards me but the circumstances seem pretty close to home. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and helpful and other than the tech it was a good exam for my first time there.

I dont recommend this place at all. I was just sent to collections on an appointment from months ago without ever receiving a bill. No paper bill, no email, no voice mail. Just suddenly a collection notice. They were either too disorganized or too lazy to send out bills. Theyre going to ruin a bunch of peoples credit.This is after a really really poor customer service experience which I excused because they had just had someone call in last minute and were very short staffed. They ran a lot of extra tests because they said my initial test showed something off and I left with the feeling that they were running tests for money because I have good insurance. It just felt really scamish.Id recommend you go literally anywhere else.
I cant say enough about how good the service is here, I needed a replacement pair of glasses ASAP. Cindy and her crew were outstanding. They had me a substitute pair on less than a hour and my new glasses were ready in two business days.

I have always paid my bill before getting my glasses.My only objection is that they always want to make a copy of your drivers license,INSURANCE, and keep it on file. If they do not remember me then I dont mind showing it to them but and I do not mind of they want to call and check my insurance but having all these copies of my personal information around is one of the reasons we have so much identity theft.
Overall, we were happy with our visit for a basic eye exam. The doctor and staff were great. However, several tests were done that would be billed to our medical insurance. I had to pay $50 copays (so $100 total for my son and myself which I was not made aware of when I agreed) for these medical tests. My vision insurance covered the visit and eye exam. I also had to pay out of pocket for a special camera to take a picture of my eyes because I didnt want them dilated. Of course I agreed to these, but left feeling like I had spent a lot of money unnecessarily. This was my first visit, and my sons second visit, and I have never had to pay so much out of pocket for an eye exam.
Went here a few months ago to take my teenage daughter for an exam because they take walk-ins. Originally wasn’t going to review but this needs to be told. We were there for an hour for test that seemed a bit much and after finally seeing the doctor again they told me that my daughter was a glaucoma suspect and that we would need to come back in a few months and do tests again. Wanting a second opinion as her last eye doctor never said anything about this last year. I took her to a clinic in Madison and told the doctor about our visit one of the nurses overheard and stated she used to work there and that the owner will make the Doctors put patients down for these tests to get money from them and that they hardly move off of glaucoma suspect. She then stated that they do this to almost ever patient they see. The doctor checked my daughter and stated that surprise she didn’t have Glaucoma and that the test called diopsis I think it was could not even give you an accurate reading on glaucoma as it was 25% chance it really works. She stated that barely any doctors use these test. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE THE ARE A RIP OFF AND WILL DO UNNECESSARY TEST AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY BECAUSE INS DOESN’T COVER IT. I ended up paying over $600. Because of them.

I had some glasses made and after the 3rd pair I still could not see with them, they set me up with another doctor and she had a very bad attitude and was very rude to me, She said they still cannot get bit right and offered to make me the 4th pair with my old prescription.I declined and requested a full refund, they agreed but are still charging me for the useless prescription.And as of yet I still have not received my refund,I should of looked at all of the BAD reviews before going with them.Beware,, Stay Away, they just do not know what they are doing

I got a new pair of glasses here and was far from pleased. I wore them maybe a total of 5 times before I had to have the lenses replaced twice. They were covered in scratches from using the cloth that I got from them. They were always kept in a case at night. I now have a useless pair of $200 glasses.
I had a really great visit at eyecare plus today in Hendersonville and would recommend it to everyone. The entire staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Briah greeted me and got me all set up, Maygan took time helping me choose frames, and Cassidy finalized it all and explained my insurance benefits. WARNING! I believe this place practices unethical business practices. When you come in they ask for your vision insurance card AND your medical insurance card. When they find out you have Medicare they say they will do additional tests since Medicare pays for it. I came in for an eye exam which was covered by my vision insurance. Then in addition they charged me and Medicare $322 for procedures that they never told me about and I did not even know about or notice. Buyer be aware if you decide to go to this place ! They appear to want to pad your bill so they can charge Medicare!
Several terrible experiences with their front office. Weve seen enough to realize its a pattern. Although the optometrist is good, the office has So many issues, Im taking my family elsewhere in 2017.

They overcharge, charging me two co-pays and bill medical and vision for a typical exam. They state a medical procedure was conducted, but all I experienced was a typical exam. When I called and complained and asked to speak with the Doctor they said theyd bill me for the conversation. Its a racket!
This is the worst, overpriced, eyecare business. Hendersonville location forge incorrect information that I did not state therefore they charge me for a new machine they are not sure works, they do not review history of eyecare, they force attempt to sales high contacts regardless if you tell them your are fine. DO NOT VISIT THE ESTABLISHMENT!! They are not honest, and perform unnecessary test. VISIT another location.

I would put no stars for the doctor, I believe her name is Dr. Olivia Mesoras. She was blonde, skinny, looked pretty young. She was very unprofessional. First of all she she didnt even look like the doctor with the short dress she wore. I will be honest its okay to wear business clothes and not just scrubs, but she was not. She wore a dress so short you could probably see her panties. Realize thats the first impression. I gave her chance because for all I knew she was a probably a great doctor. I was polite with her when she came to the exam room after I put in my contacts in for the first time in my life. She tells me this completely different plan on how I am going to have the trail contacts. I was told I would have different brands to try over a few weeks and see which brand I like best, but she tells me oh no you got to try each brand and come after a week to get the next one. I cant come back here every weekend I told her. Her response could have been and explaination of her treatment plan, but instead says you should have planned that before hand. And just leaves. I was in awe of her snappy attitude. I told the receptionist what happened and she apologized, but honestly that doctor needs todo the apologizing.I hope this woman is t like this with everyone .The staff was good. They were very sweet and kind. I would give them 3 stars.I think the prices are high, but what can you expect when you are uninsured in eyecare.
