The old cuban guy there is super rude. Terrible customer service. Very expensive too. I dont recommend. Also not a whole lot of variety to choose from to buy theyre guns.
It was $125.00 for 15 mins of rounds. The older Cuban guy was so grumpy it ruined our experience. No one came to show us how to use the gun or how to load it. We were right on top of other people so couldn’t really enjoy or take pictures. The guy kept talking to us like irresponsible teenagers. I’m a law student and my boyfriend has a corporate job. Not sure what gave him the impression that we would be mishandling the gun. Other people got a 20 min lesson on what to do and they seemed to have had a good time. Was really uncomfortable and expensive. Not a good date night atmosphere.
Had fun service was good. Will definitely come range again..
Small place, bad ventilated and air conditioning doesnt run too well. Staff is friendly and helpful, I saw other reviews talking bad about the staff but I didnt feel that at all. Ammo super expensive but I understand everyone run out of it already so more demand and less offer makes rise the price. Ive been in other ranges and this is not one of the good ones for me. I have friends that like this one but I prefer better ventilated rage and air conditioning running. Parking is very limited but that is common on most of Miami ranges. About security, I didnt see too much FGC staff around and I missed that.
Overall: Decent rangeIf you have a non NFA item they will give you a hard time or not allow you even if you have the paperwork with you.Range is only 25 yards. 3 lanes for shotguns and rifles. 5 for pistols.I brought my own ammo so I dont know pricing of their ammo. They will check your ammo which is fine. I dont think they allow steel casing ammo.
The employees got mad over purchases. After spending a significant amount. The place is a joke. Can’t even sell ammo by the case after guaranteeing me they would. Go to doral I’d pay more for a better experience
Florida Gun Center was, to me, a neutral experience for me. They had a indoor gun range that is alright, but the range has poor ventilated machines and sometimes the target moving mechanisms dont work. The gun shop has plenty of guns and ammo to offer, but from what I have seen, they have more higher prices than your average gun store, especially during this pandemic. Some of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldnt mind coming back IF they improve their range and prices.
Had a great experience as usual. Pick up for my firearm was quick and even got some cafecito to go with it.
By now, the most comfortable gun range, and the best assortment of firearms for sale; obviously, due to covid and Byden, everywhere they are very scarce.
Went earlier and was totally surprised to find parking, yes I said parking. Not only parking was available, I was also able to select a variety of paper targets. Yuuup! In the photo posted there two of several to choose from. The staff is knowledgeable, not judgmental and professional. The store is clean and with a clear view of items to choose from for your needs. The shooting range is also clean and well ventilated. Every visit for me is a great experience.
This place really has a Racial profile problem and i wouldnt advise any to go there i will pay more for a uber to go to another gun range this was bad and very unprofessional bad business
My sister and I went to just do something fun and new. It turned out to be such an amazing experience. I had never been to the range before, and my instructor Gil was awesome. He made our experience so unforgettable. I definitely recommend and I will be going back again. The staff was knowledgeable and had a variety of firearms to choose from. Thank you so much.
Is great place. People are great lots of knowledge. I bought my guns there and my. Wife and I target shoot there is great.
A fantastic store with a wide selection of arms, parts and more. Staff is very knowledgeable with firearm, firearm safety and what is the right firearm for the customer.
Bought ammo from you guys and it was never sent been 5 days
NO PARKING, CROWDED tiny range with POOR VENTILATION, OVERPRICED. Also, saying the service is terrible wold be an understatement. It’s run by the typical feeble, overweight little men who wish there were police officers but don’t have the courage to do. Strong Hialeah vibes. I have no idea how they stay in business. It’s probably because they’re the only range in the area. like going to a Hialeah Walmart. Avoid at all costs.
Good place Good service
100% recommended, good place to go, profesional service all the time, I came back after some years from buying my first and second gun, this time for a rifle and nothing change, Robert take care of me and I came out happy, tomorrow practice day at their range, see you guys!!! Thanks for your help!!!
Went to Florida Gun Center for the first time this past weekend. It was extremely overcrowded, no social distancing was being practiced. Once inside the range, groups of 4 to 5 people were assigned to each station. Not only did it not feel safe in regards to covid-19, it did not feel safe in general. I don’t think the staff had control of the situation. Also, the ventilation inside the range is horrific and needs to be fixed. At the moment, I can’t recommend this gun range to anyone.
Excellent treatment of all its employees and its manager, Roberto .
Sad to say but if you’re black they will treat you different. I came here three times so far and have seen it EVERY time. I even tested this with a few friends to confirm! First time I walked in with a black friend and this older Spanish guy instantly put his hand on his gun! What? Why would anyone rob a gun store WITHOUT A MASK? Hands visible and we were wearing joggers with our firearms in a case! Second time I walked in first and my black friend walked in a few minutes after me, I (white dude) wasn’t treated negatively at all and the man didn’t even have his hands near his holster! My black friend came in and instantly he has his hand near his holster lol??? This happened a third time except I walked in after my black friend but I this old guy didn’t take his hand away from his holster until my black friend got to his booth. This place is sorry. I really hope that wasn’t the owner or anyone running that excuse of an establishment. Also you can’t use your own targets and the rifle area is just a few feet away but you must pay extra. I will happily take my business else where.
Limited selection due to increased demand lately but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Even with the crowd they were attentive.
This place has some decent qualities. I used one of the three rifle lanes which was full of brass, and the electronic target system was broken. The no rapid fire rule, as well as the dont bring your own target rule means Im not coming back. The rental fees, firearm selection, and firearm prices were actually decent. All the employees were friendly, and they seem very knowledgeable. Watching a group of Asian tourists try negotiate with the Spanish only speaking guy running the range counter was interesting. Seems like an OK place to shoot handguns. Its a group of like 3-4 stores where two stores have ranges, and the other is some sort of training center. Nice facilities, was worth the wait to try the place but the rules make it not worth going back. Would probably recommend to newbie shooters, and strongly recommend to Spanish speakers--few other range seems to have anyone that speaks Spanish.
Having an awesome experience! Everyone here is serious about their craft. If you are too then you need to come to Allstate Training Academy. They have a top tier weapons range set aside for the training class. The training instructors are well educated with tons of practical knowledge and experience. It had been a while since I shot a weapon and was brought up to speed with the help of the instructors. Thank you
Paid like 40 bucks to rent their gun, rent their eye protection with ear protection, buy bullets to shoot and use the range they have. Customer service was good but you gotta walk up to someone and tell them what you want otherwise your just someone looking at guns. You fill out a form with your info on it, they take your license, and youre off to go shoot! Got some release and I feel enlightened.
I went shooting for the second time in my life today and I gotta say this place is great. I love the fact it is indoors but when the AC kicks in it moves the targets and its gets harder to aim. The service was amazing. On Wednesdays Ladies dont have to worry about paying a per hour fee. I appreciate that they are trying to get the ladies more involved in a male dominate sport/hobby. This place defiantly made me a repeat customer today.
Horrible customer service as far as gun sales. Inattentive staff. The staff has limited English proficiency which leads to not being able to properly evaluate the customers needs. Very dismissive. What a shame. Lous Police Supply will be getting my business.
The amount of lies that the guy at the front desk tells to people in this place is unbelievable. Their ammo is ridiculously overpriced, not enough parking space available and overall a terrible customer experience. They did not let me use my own ammo, it makes no sense that you have to pay for a piece of paper (their targets) before you can use your own. The guy also lied to me about the quality of my ammunition and even told me to start saving for a new gun if I ever use them. I definitely would never come back to the place and encourage the people who read this to do the same.
Awesome experience. I was interested in a few hand guns wasnt sure what to get I spoke with Gil (staff member) and he made my choice a whole lot easier. I decided on the brand new Glock 19 Gen 5 loved it. Great friendly knowledgeable staff members I highly recommend Florida Gun Center to my family and friends
Its a decent shooting range, but these days I wont give it more than 3 stars, to be honest. The things I take issue with are:- It costs between 25 and 50% extra per hour to shoot rifles, even though its simply in the same room behind a glass division. I normally like to shoot both, and Im not willing to pay extra just to be a few extra steps in one direction.- You have to buy their targets. You cant use your own. This really ticks me off. Most people will buy your targets anyway, and thats great. Its convenient. But dont force me to.- Theyll hassle you if you bring bi-metal jacket ammo. That is, ammo that is not steel core but is slightly magnetic. It does not damage the back stop so it is generally simply due to ignorance of the person inspecting. Or desire to sell store ammo.- The range isnt that long. For rifle that makes it pretty worthless (something that is even more irritating because of how you have to pay extra for that privilege).- Ironically enough, the sign on the door prohibits concealed carry. All in all, Id be willing to go back or revise this review if a few of those things change - namely different pricing for rifles and mandatory buying of their targets - but until then my go-to range these days is Nexus up in Davie. Its a bit further away but it is way superior in every other aspect. Though I really wish Florida Gun were more competitive since Id love to come back (if only because its closer). Anyway, time will tell. Regardless I wish them the best.
Have purchased various weapons on their online store. Good service. range is clean and updated
Great staff. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking forward to buy a gun or anything related to it. They attended me in a very professional way, and taught me some tips about firearms. I will visit again to buy a gun.
My favorite place to shoot indoors. the are two ranges, plenty of guns to rent if you dont own any and a large variety of guns and ammo if you are looking to buy. excellent prices in some selections as well. Staff helped me getting the paperwork done for my conceal carry for no extra charge. Staff is also very knowledgeable, specially of what they carry in the store.
I’ve been to this range several times without any problems. But this time I bought one target because I have my own that I’ve always shot in this place with in the past I was told to take it down that it could not be used there because the target did not say Florida gun center So it’s time to find another range that does allow other targets and it’s funny because I’ve seen people in the past using different targets!!! There willing to loose a customer for a paper targetI guess I will go to Miami guns instead!!!!
I use to come here a lot few years ago, lot of things changed and the staff behind register today very obnoxious and always have something to say, I get it there is rules but the approach he takes with customers should be different thats called customer service.. I just wont bother coming here any more cant bring your targets, your bullets are not good enough, their bullet are over priced they s..cks..
This is my go to when I want to practice my shooting.. clean, air conditioned and reasonably priced. Their gun shop is also a good place to purchase a gun or rifle. Have bought 3 guns from there at a good price.
I purchased my first weapon here, and I had a very good experience. I told the person that helped me (a chubby old guy) what I wanted, and he showed me what I was looking for, but he also recommended another one based on what I told him. Thanks to his help I was able to get exactly what wanted and what I need it for, and the price wasnt bad either. At that time I did not had a FL ID, but they were able to help me get my shotgun, and with the background check it took seven days for me to get my brand new shotgun. Im very happy with this store and I will definitely go back to purchase my next gun.
This range isnt so bad if you dont mind all the idiots that come here and have no idea what theyre doing and waving their pistols around like its a toy. Its in Hialeah so that should tell you enough. If you call and they tell you their pistol only range is open, please dont go. Their pistol only range is garbage. Their rifle and pistol range on the other side is decent. Ive been lucky to have good customer service there.
The best place in Miami to get the diploma for your license, the best place to buy a gun and practice with it.You have all your needs in one area, nice people.
Nice Showroom and OK range linked together in a small series of warehouses. Their selection and pricing is good, and Ive purchased two pistols from them in the past. Theyre just to the east of the 826 and are usually busy when I walk in.
Great people and costumer service. Big selection of firearms and the store extremely clean and organize with the best display youll come across to. Recommend 💯%.
Overcrowded and bad service please if you want to go to a gun range don’t go to this because the service is bad and there is no good air condition.
Ive gone to this range over many years (got my first gun there) and known the owner to be a good man along with some of his current staff. That being said, recent trips have revealed to me that one guy is souring the whole experience. He is immediately outspoken and rude and have personally seen him harass customers regarding their ammo choice or rentals/range use. Other reviews point out his apparent racism and paranoia but to my fortune I havent seen it though would not be surprised if that was the case.Prices are a bit high as well compared to places like warrior or nexus where its $15 flat for any gun regardless of caliber or platform (to my personal extent). And use of long guns is restricted to 3 lanes which is odd considering the other lanes are identical.Id give this range 5 stars if that one disgruntled employee got handled properly and the range was reorganized to reflect a fairer price and flexibility to the lanes. The storefront is excellent and the guys there are great otherwise.
Usually not too busy, clean shop, clean lanes.
Experienced and super friendly staff, nice selection and great prices. We will definitely come back!
Worst experience ever with staff very aggressive.
Very nice staff, long wait most of the time. The staff is brilliant and will attend to all your needs, I would like though if there were more cashiers. Friendly place9/10
Very Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Roberto is always ready to help. My preferred FFL dealer.
I bought 5 guns there prices are good, they treat you well. No complains about this place. I Been in other stores in Miami .for me this is the best . In other places they treat you as if you was an idiot.and they knew all.here is different. Thats my honest opinion,
Good place for a couple of friends to have fun, but for serious shooters its a no go. You cant do Drills at 3 or 5 yards because the ac blows so Strong that it moves your targets
The parking is ridiculous. The lot is small and people will block your car in. Once I walked into the show room I was greeted by a guy behind the counter who place his hand on his gun. Come on dude Im not here to rob you. I had both hands visable. After this not one person said a word to me. I have been a prior customer at the Davie location and was never treated like this. I wont be buying anything else from Florida gun center.
Excellent
Bought two glocks from here. In and out with new guns in 20min.
The last time I shot here I had to use the small range on the side as there was training in the main range. The small range on the side is a major hazard.I had a piece of bullet shrapnel stuck half an inch into my arm. If you look around the floor, youll see thousands of tiny metal pieces. If you look at the side walls of the range, you can tell that the bullets are striking the far end of the range, breaking up, and flying back towards the front. The side walls are all chipped.I told the range master and he didnt do anything about it. Didnt even seem remotely apologetic or even surprised at the sight of someone bleeding profusely due to their range. Not to mention the horrible ventilation. The A/C (which is not cool) moves the targets violently.I used to go here all the time and I can say that their regular range is top of the line and very comfortable. If they know that that range on the side is not only garbage, but a health hazard, they shouldnt open it up during training.
Love this place
Just bought my second gun from Robert (manager) and all i can say is amazing service, polite, and professional place both to purchase and to use the range.
Will never do business with them again!! In my last 2 visits to this location, I was told and confirmed a price over the phone only to get there and have the price raised considerably!!! I was there 2 days ago the last time and they raised the price by $200 on the firearm. The manager said the price on the sticker was LEO pricing, not civilian pricing!!! What really put me over the edge was after that he just walked away and left me there alone without any care.... What customer service!!!!! I used to recommend this place, but after the last incident I never will again....
First time gun buyer. Walked in uncertain, walked out with sure confidence. Staff is great. Rafael helped me with my purchase. Very knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely do business here again
Great atmosphere, safe. Knowledgeable staff. Service oriented.
The guys at the Florida Gun Center are awesome. I am a retired police officer from Virginia and recently moved to South Florida. I have been looking for a gun center that I felt comfortable with and one I could trust. The guys here are probably the most welcoming, supportive and professional group of gun enthusiasts I have met in a long time. I went to this store the first time with my daughter who also loves to shoot. I met and dealt with Andy the first time I walked into the store. I told him what type of handgun I was looking for and my intended use for the gun. He walked me through my options and helped me decide which one was best for me taking into consideration my criteria. Most importantly, he never pressured me or tried to sell me. I ended up buying the gun I felt most comfortable with based on all the information Andy provided. I will definitely buy here again. I also found the store to be competitively priced compared to other gun stores in the South Florida area.During my second visit I met Ike. Ike has a way of making you feel welcome as though he is inviting you into his own home. Ike conducts the firearms training which I will take advantage of for my daughter and as refresher training for myself as well.It is very apparent, the guys here have the old school approach we dont see too much these days. That is: Take care of the customer and they will take care of you.I look forward to future gun purchases and range time here. I believe Ive found my favorite place to gun shop and shoot.
Great range, a/c so good it might blow your target around a little. I bring some cardboard strips to help hold the target. I enjoy going there and I have been to many other ranges around south Fla.
This place is top knock. I have been to several ranges through out south Florida but none better than this place. The staff is very knowledgeable, patient and generally want to hello you choose the right firearm based on what you like and what you need it for. I the lanes are well lit and have electronic target settings. On each lane there is a digital reader that lets you know how many yards away you are shooting. The place is very well kept and has a large variety of guns available. I have been here several times and will continue to visit this amazing range so long as they keep doing business this way.
Always come here for indoor shooting. The range is ok and they only have 3 rifle/shotgun lanes. It can get a bit hot and smoky in there when it is full. The store itself is very nice and prices are very fair. The staff is very nice and helpful and so is the range staff.
Amazing shooting range. Very clean and staff are very helpful. Also prices are good for what you get.
First time Going to Store. Assistant Manager Ray Perez was outstanding very knowledgeable. Gave me great feedback on everything i ask for. they WOW ME .... Brought a bodyguard pistol. Will be back....
Ammo is too expensive. They charged me $22 for a box Magtech 40 cal. and today I bought same exact ammo for $12.99. It gets too hot in the range. They need to get better air. The range is clean and electrical target system worked fine.
This is the Best indoor range in South Florida hands down!!!! Very nice selection, great prices and nice people taking care of you. I highly recommend this place.
I love this place. Amazing prices and great customer service. 2 of my 3 guns were purchased here.
Theyre awesome. My friend bought some guns and accessories there. I shoot there every now and then. This is my go to indoor range when I cant make it to the outdoor ranges. This is the best range in South Florida. Blows Aces and Stoneharts out of the water.
Sales area is great, but range area customer service was terrible - Cuban dude at the counter made my group feel uncomfortable and rushed.
Amazing staff. Everyone there was very helpful and friendly. Had a gun shipped here. quick and easy process.
Literally a line to the door and the idiot at the front desk was bullshitting with a couple. Not even any words to the line like Ill be right with you. Just sat there running his mouth. We walked out and went to a better gun range down the street. Dont waste your time.
TERRIBLE shooting range. They wouldnt let me use my steel case bullets because they wanted me to buy their over priced rounds! They even have the rubber back which is for steel case bullets but still denied me just to make some extra money. Not to mention the old Spanish guy at the front is rude and has HORRIBLE customer service skills in person and over the phone. Save your time and money and go somewhere else, Ill never return.
First time in a long time coming to the range, I went because of the reviews. When I walked in the bald little fellow did not even acknowledge me. -1point, no prob. But not a way to run a business. 2. I asked if there were any booths open, he says no. I asked if there will be soon, and proceeds to insult me telling me to calm down making gestures that I was hyper..LOl..(maybe a little) Not knowing there timing system, I asked about it. Obviously that angered the little fellow, and angered me making me feel uncomfortable, and I told him its been a long time since I been to the range, that its only a question and you should be teaching me. Instead he mocks me with gestures. Frikin Amazing !!!!! I said Ill go somewhere else, called him a idiot, and walked out, he said the same. If I was the owner and heard this little fellow talk to a customer the way he did, hed be gone. And if he was the owner (I doubt it) your a pathetic miserable little fellow. So I went to Ace, smooth sailing and they were Friendly.
Only reason we ended up shooting here is because our regular place was over booked. Standing in line at this place was like being in the twilight zone. There were three guys working when we went. One guy tending the register and two well hanging out. The one guy working the register was by far the most non-efficient person I have met I a very long time. It was actually pretty impressive how bad it he was. Everything, was drawn out. He would stop what he was doing to talk to a random person about a random thing and then go back to being really really bad at working the counter. Its one of those situations that is difficult to explain. You just have to see it in action to make sense of it. I stood in line about 45 minutes. I was third in line.. some guy walked in and was clearly friends with the guy working so clearly he jumped us and didnt even have to wait in line. They have a sign posted at the register that I wish I would have taken a picture of. Basically, a condescending and rude message to customers that was way over the top; like everything else. This place was a horrible experience and a one time visit.
We arrived there and wanted to redeem our voucher we bought online to shoot an AR15 on the shooting range. The guy at the reception couldnt speak a single word English, just spanish. I tried to ask him serveral times what he wants from us, but he just continued to speak spanish. So we went over to the gun shop, did all the paper work there and came back to an instructor who fortunately were able to speak English. After a (way too) short introduction he let us shoot an AR15, 50 bullets for two people. He even let us load the magazine ourselves. The shooting experience was so much fun, i would do it again anytime.
Very good customer service nice and friendly staff inventory and more shooting range awesome
Very nice facility, everything was in great shape. Not 5 star because they provide target clips without backboards, and the ventilation system makes the targets move. Also, much louder than your average pistol-only range because they allow rifles and shotguns; not a complaint, but be warned.
Greeted by Mike I had a chat with him to see if a instructor avaliable, he said nome available as day off but to ask Robert over at the gun shop if he could spare anyone. So for $25 I covered a safety lesson with a colleague they had found, once comfortable I hired 2x handguns from Mike and 4x50 9mm rounds, and I was left within the range to do my thing, Mike was super friendly and checked on me from time to time to ensure I was comfortable and if I needed him to re assure me he is near by to help with anything. Being from the UK where our fire arms are banned I enjoy the experience I can gain from friendly and knowledgeable people such as Mike. Thanks again and I highly recommend this place to people. Prices are super reasonable.
I bought my XDM mod 2 here I Florida Gun Center easy process nice people the shooting range is one of the best one in Miami if you ever have any problems talk to Robert very nice guy I will definitely come back again and again
Great prices! Clean, honest and professional! Its now my go to gun shop!
Great shooting range has a strong ventilation system and new lines. I believe with a time they can expand throughout that entire property making it the largest gun store in Hialeah and increase the parking capability
Excellent gun store. Everything is nice and clean, and the staff is super helpful. Has that beautiful burnt gunpowder smell
Very good range, amazing and helpful customer service, I personally was visiting from out of state and the gentleman that helped us get set up was not only knowledgeable but friendly as well. Robert was great and have a great attitude.
1st time buyer, Paco knew exactly the gun for me and didnt look back. Great training after and range is good and accessible. Not sure why people say prices are high as they are posted on their website (less the mandatory cost of a target). Yes, the A/C is a bit high but not where the targets are when out a 5+ yds
Nice clean range. Not enough parking. Short haired lady behind the counter not too interested in customer service.
Bad customer service, really rude people, gun range has no A/C wont be coming back here again
I did the Concealment Course today with two of my friends and it was great, the instructor made the class super fun and interesting.I truly dont know any other place where you can go and do the course that also includes shooting twice with a G19 for only $60.I will seriously recommend it to anyone who hasnt done the class.Great place all around!.
Amazing staff friendly and reliable. Gun range busy at times but worth the wait.
First time shooting in a state where guns ARE allowed.... being that im from Jersey. Prices were good and the staff was very friendly. One of the reasons on why id move to Florida😉
Very professional, skilled and helpful staff!Never a bad experience.Love this place!
Well as far as a bad review i cant say this is one but a good one yes it is.they acknowledge me as soon as i walked thru door very helpful answered all my question and pointed me in the right direction definitely crazy Cubans always a pleasure to see funny as heck .Definitely would recommend family and friends here 5 out of 5 stars.
Place is nicely set up. The gun shop is nice. The range is also nice, however the guy working the counter was a bit sarcastically rude
One of the best shooting range in Miami. If youre in the Miami area in looking for a shooting range you better check out this place.
