DONT GO HERE. they turned me away with a hazard situation with my tire and blamed the weather for why my tires was losing air after putting air in it 3 times within 5 days. They refused to put it on a lift to check for a nail or anything. I happily went and spent my money to Aiken-Black in Hickory 😁

First time experience with Discount Tire. I arrived 45 minutes before my appointment time. I was greeted at my car by Mike, he welcomed us with a very sincere good morning. Told him I was early and he said no problem…took my keys and said he will right back with us. He came inside and said it would be about 15 minutes. We were in and out in 20 minutes. Really quick to get me in and very honest about my tires.

I had to go here to get the cap for my tire. They accidentally forgot it while putting on my new tire. They were extremely busy.I was also mad because I thought that when they fixed a hole last time, they didnt fix the valve stem. They did however fix it. Another guy, by the name of Danny, checked and it had their numbers on it. Sadly I had yet another hole, which makes 3 in that tire. Instead of repatching it again, which is actually dangerous, he replaced it for free. Thank you Danny, and again I do apologize for thinking yall didnt do your job properly. Im sorry if I gave you attitude today. Thanks for fixing my tire and keeping me and girls safe. ❤ Ill always be a returning customer.

These guys were fantastic!!!When a different Discount Tire, (who was just a bit busier than this one & was dismissive & somewhat rude) all but turned us away when we had a tire puncture, this Discount Tire(who had no appointments left for the next 2 days & were super busy) managed to fit us in & do a ~repair~ that was covered by the warranty Id purchased from the company. They were (& usually are, no matter how busy they get) quick, friendly, efficient, professional, care about their customers, and are always willing to go that little bit extra to make sure you are taken care of.This is definitely a store I will continue to be a loyal customer.*They really are consistently good...and I dont say that often.*Honestly, I can not say enough good things about them, especially since this is the second or third tire emergency they have fixed for us (myself & my wife) in as many years.

Well I got on my website found some tires that I like I found them on another website for $212 cheaper so they price match me and I went up to the place to check on the price match they said they would price match me then they wanted to charge me $34 per tire to mount and balance them when I had my own balance beads valve stems and every other thing else all they had to do is Mount them and they still wanted to charge me more money. Went up to Black tire a mile up the road and they mounted them for $12 a piece. Discount tires total $980 my total after not using them was $762.

I went and had four new tires put on my Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. When I drove in there, I had four matching valve stems, all black. When I pulled my car out of the bay I got out and checked my tires. They looked okay, so I got back in my car and drove to Lowes. I got out again and looked at my tires again. Thats when I noticed that they had broken one of my valve stems and replaced it with a silver one.. I drove back to Discount Tire and demanded that they replace the other three black ones for the silver. They tried to mishandle me because I am a woman. Ladies watch out for these guys.

With Covid protocol, I was greeted at my car, waited for my turn & then pulled in to the bay. Stayed in my car entire time which actually was nice. Caught up on email. Feels like youre on Pit Road & the crew is trying to get you back out on the track. Fun. Real good experience & the guys were working hard. Totally recommend.

Excellent experience. I called ahead to confirm business was open, received great customer service via initial telephone call. Arrived at center and was greeted by numerous employees and felt welcomed. My car was checked in quickly and only needed a patch from a nail in the tire. The service was completed quickly and was not charged for the work provided. This was my first time visiting this location but I was blown away by the customer service that I will be returning for my future tire needs.

Got 4 tires replaced here a few weeks ago. I ordered my tires online and payed, it wasnt terribly expensive (due to the tires I picked.) I showed up at my appointment time to learn they didnt have my tires, so they gave me slightly better quality tires they had on hand at no extra charge. They were very communicative with me, and I was back out on the road in less than an hour. Ive had no issues with the tires. Would recommend for sure.

I have bought one set tires about a year ago for my 1998 for Explorer from Discount Tire Hickory. Good prices. Prompt service. Friendly, professional staff and technicians. Tire rotations are convenient and easy. I will soon need new tires for my truck. I will be back to Discount Tires. Recommended.

Received an email saying it was time to have my tires serviced checked and no appointment was needed. Decided to stop off during lunch as it was a quick 10-15 minutes process. Trying to check in was a nightmare took 10 minutes and then was told it would be a while. Highly recommend trying to make an appointment even when communication from them says you don’t need one. Locations and corporate need to get on the same page. I’ll not shop or seek service at this location.

Customer service was great. Had to wait a little while because the place was packed! But its cool. When it was my turn to get serviced, they had me and the girls sit inside in the air conditioning. They apologized for the time it took to get to me. I got serviced, and if needed I can go back and have my tires looked at more because of an issue I had previously. Ill keep going back.

You dont need an appointment. You can walk in and ride out with new tires or rims or both. They are very polite. They also have a plan for tire maintenance.

We had a long wait but we went during a busy time of day and did not have an appointment. We were taken care of by Austin who had excellent customer service! I had just bought a new car and had an issue with the tire pressure sensor. After contacting the dealership who was NOT going to help, we spoke with Austin about it who helped us right away. He explained what was going on and how they could help. If I didn’t live so far away I would definitely keep going to this discount tire. I have never had a bad experience at a discount tire.

I went in to get a tire plugged, I had run over a screw and also to have a tire rotation. I fully expected to pay something for the service (at least for the plugged tire) but when they were done they handed me a receipt with no charge - even though I didnt buy the tires from them. I told them the place I bought the tires from would have more than likely charged me for the plugged tire and taken a half a day to do all of the work. I told them my next set of tires bought would be through Discount Tire. Very fast, a courtesy and professional service! I highly recommend! 5 stars!!!!

Our BMW ran flat last night because of a hole in the valve stem. Didnt have a spare and it was too late to get it to a tire shop so we had to leave it overnight right where it had run flat. We came back to it today, took the tire off and took it to discount tire. A gentleman took the tire, replaced the valve stem in just a few minutes, filled the tire again and rolled it back to us. Said we didnt owe him anything. Thank you SO much! This is why I always go to discount tire!

We came in without an appointment Saturday 2/22/2020. We were taken care of by Shaun. Shaun had great customer service skills and was very knowledgeable about the kind of tires needed with the type of driving the customers are doing. The co-workers were great as well. Overall a great experience and quality, I will be coming back in the future.

These guys will say anything to you to sell you tires, then leave you hanging when it comes to servicing their products. I made an appointment to get my tires rotated and balanced, as they told me it was free if I purchased the tires. I drove 30 minutes for the appointment and was told there was no record of the appointment. This place had one salesman, no manager, and a line of patrons out the door. Will purchase tires elsewhere next time!!

Long time customer at this store in Hickory, NC. Never had an issue with customer service until some new managers and staff came to this location recently. They tried to sell me 2 new tires at full retail price when I told them one of my front tires had a lump on the sidewall, even after I told them I had purchased their tire warranty (which would cover the tire replacement due to the defect) and my tires have a manufacturer 50k mile thread warranty. The guy was trying to tell me that I was beyond the expected life of the tire even though I only had them on for 20k miles. Definitely miss the managers that actually cared about customer service and HONESTY! I dont know if they get paid commission on sales but it definitely seemed like that.

I paid $223 for 2 new tires. Ive gotten all of my tires replaced for less than that. If I couldve Gonzalez somewhere else I wouldve but this was the closest place and I couldnt get my tire off because one of the bolts was stripped. Never again though.

By far the best service out of any discount I have visited so far. It just reminds me of why i always buy from discount. They stand behind their products and service. This time I had a slow leak. They found there was a large gash in the tire so they replaced it for me under warranty. Had me in and out in under an hour. Perfect!

The little young guy working the counter don’t have a clue what he’s talking about. He was very rude and refused to even look at my car! I told him I had a tire that had a slow leak and he told me all they could do is sell me a new tire without even looking at it. He didn’t even know where it was leaking from. No one I know will ever go back to discount tire in hickory nc. If I were the owner of this place I would teach the Hispanic looking guy at the front counter something about tires but more importantly something about customer service. You just lost a lot of business from me or my employees.

To be 100% honest, were it not for Shawn Swift & past dealings with him, (his professionalism, respectful and courteous demeanor, etc, etc), today would probably be my VERY last dealing with the store. Id throw the warranty out the window and rotate (etc) them myself!More often than not, my maintenance trips here have resulted in hasty return trips, 2 COMPLETELY flat tires after a rotation, & several other issues.Last thing before I step off the soap box. Needed new tires for my Jeep Wrangler. Called the store to see about ordering them and if they could price match. Yes to both! The day before my appointment I called to make sure they arrived I was informed that only three showed up at that point I was worried. Shawn assured me they would get me taken care of. The day of my appointment I arrived and found out the other still was not there. They instead offered to put me in a better tire for the same price! Install went smoothly. This is a very busy store and having worked in the automotive field I was expecting about an hour for install and had no issue with a small delay- they are working on my car I would much rather them be delayed and do it properly than something go wrong. They took care of my mom and I with no issues. Highly recommended.

Bad vibration at Hwy speeds only tire shop open on a Sunday pulled in proply got me in checked everything major competitors dont ie brakes all fluids wipers even put plastic over my seat...A little high for 4 tire balance but no one else was open on Sunday & bk to wrk Monday.Overall very satisfied with customer service...
