I just say WOW! Best service mind ever!We are a Swedish family that had prepaid a rental car from Sears Auto Center in Hickory. But when we came the day before pick up date, we realized that the car we had booked was never gonna take the 5 of us and all our luggage. We had by mistake booked a too small car.The guy in charge this day and also the girl behind the counter (dont remember their names, but they were there at daytime Nov 19, I would guess his name was Brian) were so helpful. He went out to look for another car for us so that we could fit everything we had, which was a lot. After a few minutes he just upgraded our car to a much bigger and nicer car than we had booked. And we didnt even have to pay extra for it. And we could take the car with us directly, which was very convenient for us, because then we could go home and start packing the car the day before our 11 hours drive to Orlando.Maybe this doesnt sound like a big thing, but for our family, this was a huge help and a huge blessing. Brian(?) really listened to our situation and did everything he could to meet our need, even though we had messed up our booking. We love this awareness of the customers. 5 stars are not enough :-) This help saved our travel plans big time. Thank you and God bless you!Andreas with family

One star is too good of a review for Sears Auto Center. Just was at your store last week to get an auto inspection. As I was waiting in line with only one other customer, another older man comes in and immediately is greater by another sales rep at the same counter I was waiting at. I didnt realize you had customer preference at Sears and will ignore a loyal customer of 25 years. My only hope is that Sears closes its doors on ALL STORES. This is not the first time with this issue. In the future, it would help by greeting your costumers as they walk in the door, rather than ignoring them and making us feel unwanted. We are, after all, the ones who help you by awarding you with our business. Thank you, and I sincerely hope management is willing to change this issue.
Wouldnt recommend at all. Prices arent fair and service is subpar.

Call auto-transferred to another location...looks like hickory store is permanently closed

***EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER*** On 07/06/2017 I went to this Sears Auto Center to have my 2016 Hyundai Sonata aligned. After waiting about two hours to have the 4-wheel alignment completed I was ready to go and left the auto center expecting everything to be in good working condition and the alignement much better than before. I was wrong! I immediately noticed that my vehicles alignment was much worse than before I had my vehicle serviced at Sears Auto. The steering pulled even more to the left than before. Upon looking at the alignment paperwork I noticed that the alignment was done for a 2011-2014 Hyundai Sonata instead of mine which was a 2016. I was frustrated but figured that the auto center would correct the mistake if I took my vehicle back to them. Fast forward to today 07/09/2017 I went back to the Sears Auto Center to walk in (Sears states that they accept walk-ins) and have my vehicle realigned properly. I walked into the auto center and was immediately greeted by the manager named Dirk. Dirk ask How can I help you? I stated that I was just here a few days ago and my alignment is worse than before I brought the vehicle to this auto center. Dirk immediately become defensive and said well I cant get to it today! I stated well I thought that you were able to take walk ins especially considering the circumstance that my vehicles alignment is incorrect due to this auto centers mistake. Dirk said Sir I told you I cant get to you today, do you not see my board back here. I have 15 cars to get serviced today and dont have time. I was beyond mad at this point and ask Dirk why that he thought it was okay to have an attitude with me. Keep in mind that there was another customer in the store at this point while all this was happening. As soon as I had ask why he was having an attitude he said I told you that I cant help you and you need to leave. I am trying to help this other customer (other customer that was in the store). I ask Dirk well I need to know who your boss is because your attitude is completely ridiculous and all Im wanting is to fix my vehicle. Dirk then lunged toward me screaming and stated you want to know my name and who my boss is then here is my card while acting like a maniac grabbing a business card with his name on it and throwing his business card at me. I ask well who is your district manager. Dirk said my district manager is Curtis. I simply ask Curtis who and he replied I have no idea what his last name is but you need to leave. At this point I was lost for words having been kicked out of the Sears Auto Store and the manager named Dirk acting like a maniac over me trying to get my vehicle fixed due to their error. I am very dissapointed with this experience and feel that Dirk needs to be terminated due to his actions towards me and my family. I personally feel that this is the reason that the Sears brand is slowly a dying brand. Having worked in customer service I know that if I was to treat a customer as Dirk did me and my family that I would not have a job nor would I feel great about doing a disservice to someone that is allowing me to have a job and keep food on the table. You should be ashamed Dirk and Sears for allowing an out of control employee to work for you. I can assure that I will not be a repeat customer; I may only be one customer but if everyone who visited had this experience then the rest of Sears would not survive and would close. SEARS AUTO CENTER CLEAN IT UP!!!
Worst garage i ever dealt with and it seemed like everytime i went there it was more damage done than it was when i got there i wouldnt trust this place and ill never go again
