Not happy with last 2 purchases Paramount Hyundai of Hickory I can never get my gap refund. Have bought 2 cars 2 weeks apart. I keep getting the run around and Matt our salesman has not yet called me back. As far as Chris the GM he is rude and will flat out tell you hes not giving a check for refund. I have called the gap company and they said they have already funded the gap refund the dealership which dealership is supposed to issue me a check for the gap refund. I have called Benny Yount the owner of Paramount and left a message him to call me to see if I can get some help. Hope someone calls me back.
I purchased a used CLS550 Mercedes Benz from them in January from a very nice young salesman. After a test drive I pointed out that the alignment was off and a possible wheel out of balance. Also, I was informed that a cam sensor was just replaced so the check engine light wouldnt come on. After some talks I purchased the car with promises made that the sensor was in fact changed, the alignment was done and the car was delivered to me which was a nice touch. After driving it the first day, the alignment was not fixed as promised, so I spent a Saturday driving up to Hickory to get the alignment done or redone. Then a week or so later I noticed that after the car was parked more than 12hrs, the front left corner was sagging and it was determined that it was a leaking air strut. This was brought to Paramounts attention but i was informed that it is not covered under their basic 1 month/1K mile warranty that comes on their used cars. So I found a reputable local Mercedes shop and was informed that yes in fact that it was a leaking air strut and one easily noticed if the car sat for a good length of time and because they knew I was coming to see the car all they had to do is start the car and the air strut would inflate correctly and be at correct height when i arrived and stay that way. So in order to fix that it cost me $2300 as the air strut suspension is a costly Mercedes item. I never heard back from the dealership on the leaking air system beside being told it wasnt covered and while getting the air strut fixed the supposed fixed check engine light came on and I was told that it was due to one of the cam sensors (via code reading) and also informed that it looks as if all the sensors which are on the front of the motor were all original and it appears that nothing had been touched, so there went another good chunk of money. No I didnt buy the offered extended warranty from them but I was also informed that they did not have the required STAR diagnostic system required to fully scan and fix codes for Mercedes Benz, so they wouldnt be able to fully service my car anyway, so why buy their warranty.I can now enjoy the car now that I have spent a large amount of money to fix the car, but that was money that wasnt supposed to go to repair a new-used car from a supposed reputable car dealer. So beware of what you buy.
I recently purchased a used 2019 Jeep Cherokee Overland 4x4 from Ernie Masche. Ernie worked with me via text message and email throughout the week and we were able to agree on a great deal, that made us both happy. I drove the few hours to get there to test drive the jeep and sign the final paperwork. Ernie greeted me at the door with a water, asked how my drive was, then proceeded to lead me straight to the awaiting jeep, which was parked out front. After the test drive, I proceeded to complete the financing paperwork with Parker. Everything went super smooth and Ernie even had my jeep setup to be delivered on the day and time of my choosing. TOP NOTCH SERVICE. I would highly recommend Ernie. I was in and out of the dealership in under 1.5 hours. Couldnt be more impressed. Thank you, Ernie!
I found Paramounts used car listing on Car Guru and sent a request for more info. The response time was very quick, nice and efficient. Butch is the one who responded to me and he is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Every thing he said he would do, he met and then some. We drove 2.5 hours to test drive the car and found everyone at the dealership to be over the top with helpfulness, kindness, and friendliness. They were very efficient so the transaction didnt take up so much of our day and everyone was very willing to work out a deal. If you are looking online for your next car you should check with Butch at Paramount in Hickory NC.
Pleasant folks in the service dept. Was taken care of right away and the car was serviced quickly, didnt have to wait very long at all. Will definitely be back.
I was told the credit check being ran would only run through a couple of lenders. I checked my credit the next day and I had 7 new hard inquiries without my consent.
Great service center, they really went out of their way to take care of my 80 year old grandmother. They didnt try to get her to spend all kinds of money. They found 6 recalls on her car and fixed them, unlike the Gastonia Chevy dealership that never mentioned anything about recalls to her or me and I always go with her.
After finding a car online and spending days of conversations confirming the condition of the car (very clean) and working on numbers before driving from out of state, I arrived to a filthy 2014 rattling under the hood. The salesman couldnt identify how to turn on the DVD player (hadnt spent time in it while telling me over the phone how great it was), tried to show me a SanteFe and attempted to convince me the 3rd row was compatible to the car I drove to see though you lost a seat on the 3rd row. Back to the drawing board on other vehicles that came with full disclosures and sales people who called me while sitting in the car to discuss the condition.
Purchased a used vehicle from Adam Last week. His customer service and sales skills were great! He was friendly and personable with no pressure whatsoever. It was a pleasure to conduct business with him. I would highly recommend Adam and Paramount Kia for your new or used vehicle needs.
We have bought three vehicles from this group. The first two were new Hyundai Velosters, with one from the Hickory location and one from the Valdese location. About a year and a half ago we traded the second car in for a 2015 used Mustang. She had previously used the Hickory location for all services. After using the Valdese location we were left very disappointed in the lack of customer care. We notified Paramount Group with no response from them. We took the Mustang to a detail shop to shine up the paint. They sold us a car that had been repainted without informing us of this fact. And they can not tell me that as car guys they were not aware. We went to the dealership to speak with the sales manager. Not sure who is the manager as he opted to not come out and talk to us. Instead he sent Mark, who towed the company line and gave me a BS story about maybe being a warranty repaint. He did do a thickness check and found one quarter panel was double the thickness of the factory paint. Claimed it would be no issue for a buyer or if trading in. I really hate being lied to. The Valdese store will not get anymore of my business in the future. And honestly, we will probably only use Paramount Group to look at vehicles prior to purchasing elsewhere. With the exception of the first purchase we made and the Hickory service group, the experience has been miserable.
Purchased a 2019 VW Atlas from salesman Ernie Masche. He is an extremely nice, patient and knowledgeable professional that made the car buying experience enjoyable! During the (2) week period of shopping/test driving several different makes & models, Ernie allocated whatever time was needed to answer questions and demonstrate features. He did follow up with us, but not once during the entire process did Ernie use the “high pressure” sales tactics which never results in a good experience or repeat business!I rarely take time to write a good review, but if Paramount has a vehicle you are interested in purchasing, give Ernie Masche an opportunity to earn your business. We are happy with purchase price and buying experience! Ernie will be my first contact when we are ready to buy another vehicle!
My friend bought a used Mini Cooper from their dealership and it started giving battery problems after 2 months of the purchase. She called the dealership and they admitted that before the car was sold it had battery issues and during the time of purchase they promised to have it replaced. Now the person who sold the car (Brandon) is getting away by telling us that we can charge the battery but he has no control over the situation and nothing can be done about it. My question is if the dealership knew that the battery problem existed why it was not addressed??. Now since they are admitting it why they cannot replace the battery and honor their commitment. While selling the car these dearlerships will treat you like king and after they have sold it you are like a trash to them. I will advise all please do no go to this dealership as they are in a business of cheating people by providing them wrong information.
I bought a side mirror from their site that matched all the specs for my vehicle (model, make, year, trim). Their vin number search did not find anything for my cars vin number (2017 KIA). The item description stated power folding. I received the item and plugged it into my vehicle to test it. It did not fold. I called them twice on the day I received the item and got voice mail both times. I left a message and by the afternoon of the following day, I had not yet received a message. I decided to email them with my situation. I then received an email stating that since I had installed the part, they could not exchange it. I explained that their website description for the item is incorrect, and that I hadnt installed it, only tried the plug to see if using the folding button in my car worked, but they did not want to honor even an exchange. I am now down $300 and have to purchase the correct item for my vehicle. In this day and age, I wasnt expecting such poor customer assistance. Steer clear!
Best prices around! Got a great truck at a great price. Thanks again!
Great customer service, they go out of the way to make their customers happy and they have a great collection of new and use vehicles.
Ive been driving a Sonata for a few years, but really loved the newer body style. I ended up buying a 2013 Elantra. The car really cant be beat, and everyone was very helpful. Andy, our salesman, did a great job getting us the deal we were looking for. I absolutely LOVE my new car. Im sure it will be around for a long time.We only had one little hiccup in our experience, but overall it was very pleasant. I would come back to buy another in the future.
Efficient, excellent pricing, more than fair value for the trade. Had a great experience, and have already recommended a friend who will be purchasing a vehicle in the next month or so.
I just purchased a new 2013 Sonata and I was very pleased with the sales people who assisted me. They were knowledgeable and profeesional in their assistance with my selection of the car that fitted my needs.
Just bought a 2011 Hyundai Sonata since we gave our current car to our son when his engine died and we needed a new car for my wife and my sister-in-law and me especially to transport our five year old and 13 month old grandchildren. Steve Howell was very helpful in determining our needs and was able to direct me to exactly the type of car that I was envisioning and it was even in the color that I had always wanted! Steve also helped by driving me to the bank so that I could obtain a certified check for the down payment. We love our new car and I think our son is jealous that we didnt get him a new car but instead gave him our hand-me-down. I have to say that Paramount Hyundai did everything and more in making certain that everything was ready and as soon as my wife could come in that evening for the final signatures, we had our new car to drive home that same day. Also thanks to Mark Smith for helping that evening with the final check out and clearance of the necessary paperwork. It probably will not be long before we also use Paramount Hyundai for our next vehicle to replace my wifes aging Saturn. Thanks again!
Official repair shop for Geico. Geico totaled my car out (2004) and my car was still drivable. Geico was not there (nor did they leave my check) but they helped my get my car, which was drivable back to me. Geico representive sucked but they arent associated with them. The actual service rocked!
We drover for 3 hours because they had the best price.. hands down. The experience afterwards though has been a rough one. they have very little experience dealing with military personnel. It has been over 45days now and we still do not have our vehicle registration... partially due to the dealership the other part due to Nationwide the large scale DMV service that also has limited experience with the military. Careful when dealing here if you are registering your vehicle out of state... experiences may very ours has been rough....The sale went ok.. but definitely had the best price for the vehicle we were looking for and made the drive worth it.
Waste of my time. I drove 3 hours to look at a 911 to come and fine out the car was damaged on the whole right side
Adam Whitener was extremely helpful and aided me through the entire process in finding the exact car i wanted!
I purchased a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe, and let me tell you love, love, love it! At Paramount Hyundai Stephen Howell and Andy Harris were so in tune to my needs of what I wanted in a vehicle. I went on a test drive with Stephen and Andy, and each time they were so professional and detail oriented. I was very impressed! I traded my Mustang and finally got off the ground to a beautiful, comfortable, spacious, awesome on gas, rides great...Santa Fe! I am very pleased with Paramount Automotive group because of their business ethics and the way they follow up with you after you purchase. The service department with Candy Propst, Joey Jones, and Manager Jason Greene, I love the fact they are so knowledgable on vehicles. They took real good care of you and you even get a $25 voucher from them! Everytime I call Stephen Howell and Andy Harris they are always there to answer my questions and sometimes I have some silly questions. Thanks again for a wonderful experience to Stephen Howell, Andy Harris. And the managers, KC Langenstein, Chris Pridgen, and Jeff Briggs all introduce themselves to me. Very impressed. Thanks again. Very happy customer here!
