I dont know why of how, but these guys make the best iced lattes! Not to mention the best breakfast sandwich ever, hands down! Ask for the umu pork breakfast sandwich on a croissant and add their spicy orange sauce!! Everything here is delicious. They have a great variety of alternative milks and the staff are ALWAYS so friendly. ♥️
Awesome food, great drinks, and cozy atmosphere. I have tried many of the menu options, but keep coming back for the Umu pork. I usually prefer chicken, but this pork is a must try! The house made sauces are a huge bonus. Five stars for food quality, but they can run out of certain menu options since it is made fresh daily. Just show up before the noon lunch rush from the courthouse and county employees!
Meats were good. Yummy chicken. Mac salad was simple, but good.
Would of loved the coffee Im 100% sure of it. Was dying for a coffee. Had a appointment next door. Was floored when I found out they closed at 3pm or just 3:15 PM. Thank god the ER is just across from them. I was in need of saving after I had a massive Heart attack they where closed literally knock me out my shoesI was so wanting a coffee
The first time I was at the coffee shop on 7th, I had ordered the half order of biscuits, it comes with eggs. I thought the grave to be salty, thinking the cook had made it by mistake so tried it again on 7-27-21, sure enough it was the cook? Not sure if they make the grave them self or from a mix? I wont be order that dish Probably others have no problem with the saltness. I will try another dish when I am at the 7th location or maybe go down town in Hillsboro?
Yuuuuummmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!! HOW do people make chicken taste so dang delicious?!
Located inside the hospital. Offers dine-in. Mask required. There are a couple outdoor tables available. Good food, friendly cashier. The fruit bowls are large and filling. The only thing they need to improve on is cleaning the tables more frequently between guests. I highly recommended this place.

One of the best burritos I had in awhile. Definitely coming back if I’m around.
The last 2 orders have been totally messed up. i have only ordered 3 times since they moved to the hospital location. i ordered a bacon breakfast burrito no onions or bell peppers and got both. my daughter is allergic to onions. the 2nd time, she did not get bacon. i ordered a 2nd burrito each time. Bacon no bell peppers, i got bell peppers. the 2nd time i ordered veggie no bell; peppers add bacon and avocado. i did not get bacon. We will not be going back.
Fast, friendly service. Got the combination plate with chicken and pork and mac salad. The meat is very tender and flavorful, rice is perfectly cooked and mac salad is creamy but not overly greasy. I also ordered a seasonal black and white peppermint mocha with oat milk which is AMAZING! Not too sweet and espresso has a smooth, not bitter taste. Will definitely recommend and come back. Thank you Manaia!
The best Americano out there, Love this place.
Had not been in so long forgot just how great it is. Best breakfast bagel, fresh toasted bagel with everything you need. With so many places in the area using cheap ingredients to cut costs it is nice to know there is a great place to grab a quick coffee and meal without paying such high prices!
Quaint space in a great location. I love their coffee and yummy Samoan fare! The staff are really nice and I like the music they play. I think I heard at least one Queen song every time I was there. It always made my day to visit!
This was the first time I went to Manaia. I saw some reviews and I thought maybe it would be good. The food was pretty good! I got a veggie burrito bowl. However, the main girl with dark long hair/ponytail... apparently the Manager, has no customer service skills! We were the only two people in the place for the majority of the time. We seemed like an inconvenience to her. She did nothing to go out of her way to make us feel welcome! The other girl working, a redhead, was more friendly and service-oriented! But it was such a disappointment how we were treated by the MANAGER, that even though the food was good I dont plan on returning. Theres plenty of good food around with MUCH better service!CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HUGE!!!
Delicious coffee!
Amazing food! Make sure you try their breakfast burrito. Its incredible. Highly recommend this place.
Aside from the entrance, which is a bit accessibility-challenged- steep incline while holding door open outward, Manaia Coffee is lovely. Not a huge amount of vegetarian choices, aside from delicious baked goods, but they do have some good smoothies and breakfast bowls for those who eat eggs and dairy, and they are ALWAYS willing to work with folks to make something you can eat or drink, off-menu! That is what I think I love most about the friendly folks here!
Everything is so good and only serve a certain amount daily. I love their chicken lunch combo. It is usually out by 1:30pm-2pm making it hard to get for me. But i always come back. Their coffee is fanstatic.
One time I was at Manaia, I had their large Pulled Pork burrito. That burrito was so full of pork I had a challenge eating it in one sitting. I recommend not eating that burrito with any other food item. Their Vegetarian burrito is superb in every way. My favorite item to have at Manaia that is not on their menu is a drink combination of two breakfast drinks, which are specially made for me: the Green Breakfast Smoothie and the other breakfast drink which has the chocolate and peanut butter in it. The Greens, uncooked Oats, Banana, Chocolate and Peanut Butter in a Smoothie are excellent!
The pork, croissant breakfast sandwich was very good. I could taste the smoked pork. It had a nice flavor. The lattes were good... Not too milky.
One of the servers kept going to the side room and whispering to the other server which appeared to be about each new customer that walked in. When I walked in no one said hello or I’ll be right with you.Basically there was eye rolling between the servers. But no eye contact with the customers. It was very odd. Eventually one of them in a friendly voice rang me up, I spilled a drop on the floor more eye rolling.Seems like a nice atmosphere but a very strange experience.
Great food, healthily sourced. Portions are ample. The breakfast burrito was big enough for two meals, but the taste is so good you may just wolf it all down. Its a super place to meet someone for a meal or a coffee with a nice treat.
Good alternative for coffee when there are so few options. I like their breakfast offerings and would like to see them expand the menu or at least create new specials. Friendly service, never have to wait long. Wish they served food later in the afternoon. Cozy place to enjoy a bit of quiet in the early morning
Amazing staff, and the food is fantastic. Ive had lunch here a few times and most recently had breakfast. The bacon breakfast burrito is fantastic and the staff can make a great latte. This will be my new breakfast spot
Coffee was delicious and service was great! The atmosphere is inviting and in a great location. It was my first time coming to Manaia and I will definitely be coming back! A must see for any coffee lover!
The staff is friendly and amazing, always happy to see you. The coffee is so good you will ruin it using creamer. The bacon breakfast burrito is very good. Make sure you put the sauce on it, you wont be disappointed.
Best breakfast burritos in town! Biscuits & Gravy served on Saturdays are the best that Ive ever tasted! Family owned. Great service & super nice!! Great spot to meet up for coffee, food & to chit chat with family & friends!
Incredible gravy here! I had a spicy pork breakfast burrito which was delicious. Not too spicy but enough to wake up your taste buds. The umu pork was subtly smoky and delicious. The best and most surprising part was the gravy sample that they gave me. I am from the Midwest and enjoy biscuits and gravy but I have become jaded from paying for mediocre versions at restaurants. But this place has the best gravy I have ever tasted in a restaurant. The color and texture were spot on and I felt that the breakfast sausage flavor was excellent without overpowering with the usual spices, such as sage, that usually ruin it for me. My grandmother said, The secret to good gravy is a lot of black pepper and this place nailed it. Simply tasty and I look forward to my next visit to sample the biscuits.
My 1st Hemp coffee. Lovely place, friendly atmosphere.Im Vegan, but the aromas let me know my friends would eat here😉🤗
Love their breakfast burritos and their coffee isnt bad either. Whenever I feel like treating myself in the morning, I go here. Easy to phone in order ahead of time and they also have online ordering.
The umu shredded pork is delicious! I had a feeling it would be good when I could smell smokey and sweet flavors from a block away. Super friendly too.
The service is fantastic and the food is amazing. The barista is also very well trained, pulled all her shots perfectly and mixed everything spot on. The atmosphere is cozy with plenty of room for everyone. Overall very nice place, I will be back on a regular basis.
Delicious food and friendly service. Mac salad is killer! First time to Oregon and Im in love.
I eat pretty well and stuffed myself twice with a low carb combo lunch. Very tasty. Great service.
Overall its pretty good for some food and a coffee. Definitely above average. So I used the online order today. Worked well except I paid online when ordering and then charged again in the store, so my 3 burritos cost me 60 dollars. Not cool....
This place is the best! Good drinks and better food. Try the milky way mocha and the teriyaki chicken.
The best grilled Hawaiian chicken around! Rice is cooked perfectly (this should not be such an issue at other places, but it definitely is!), and my favorite mac salad by far. Service is excellent, and surprisingly quick considering the line at lunch time.
The coffee was delicious (Salted Caramel Mocha), the food was amazing (regular size Umu breakfast burrito) and the atmosphere is wonderful! I went in with a coworker in the later morning, around 10:00 and we received excellent and friendly customer service. The burrito was huge, and rolled perfectly. Even though it was stuffed to the nines, it didnt fall apart (which is a pet peeve of mine), then the lunch rush came in about an hour later and everyone was being served these heaping portions of delicious looking Hawaiian food and I only wish I had more room after that burrito to get some of that lunch! Definitely recommend this awesome place. The prices were absolutely reasonable considering what you are getting!
I absolutely love this place! They catered my baby shower and everyone loved the food. Not to mention, the owners and staff are just lovely people.
We got the regular bacon burrito, half order of biscuits and gravy, honey lavendar latte, and a Java chip tsunami. The burrito was outstanding and was packed to the brim with ingredients that were fresh. The biscuits and gravy were flavorful and didnt require any additional seasoning. The drinks were also great!
This is one of the few places that I can find wonderful food that fits into my diet. The acai bowls are some of the best Ive ever had. The staff is always warm and welcoming. Thank you Manaia for being in town!
Excellent place for varities of Artisian coffee, Breakfast and Lunches when I am in Tuality Hospital Hillsboro area. Nice customer service and clean environment.
Went for lunch and ordered a bowl with rice, chicken, and veggies - they dont offer all three in one lunch without a $1.50 up charge. Lame. The sauteed veggies are iceburg lettuce, tiny stands of carrots, bell peppers, and mushrooms. First, does anyone like hot iceburg lettuce on anything ever? Seriously gross. Second, does that combination of veggies say island to you? There is a reason they dont list the veggies on the menu. They only get three stars because the rice was great and the chicken is amazing - perfectly grilled, very flavorful. Ill return for a plate lunch, but never again for a veggie bowl.
This place is great! Especially to eat with kids after playing at the Outdoors in because it has a little tiny corner in the back for kids to play.
Best little secret! The coffee is wonderful, they people are personable and friendly. Its my first choice when Im in the area.
I had their rice bowl with pulled pork and chicken. It was so good! I cant wait to go back. I highly recommend.
Manaia is one of my favorite lunch spots! The food and coffee are outstanding, the atmosphere is always relaxed, and the family and staff running things are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
The food is amazing, and the staff very friendly. One of my favorite lunch spots!
Great customer service and food and beverages
Across the street from the Washington county courthouse. A nice courtroom break with island music and great tasting island food. Dont be fooled by the menu, theres more food on the plate than you expect.
So I havent tried much from this place but I can say without a shadow of a doubt, their iced macha green tea is soooooooo amazingly good. Creamy and sweet and....green teaish. Also, u gotta try the pineapple cake.
I used to love going to this place for breakfast, but it has changed a lot. The last few visits were not a great experience, as some of the staff were rather cold, and the food was hit or miss. I stopped going for a while, but recently decided to give the place another chance...I probably shouldn’t have. I ordered my usual, their gluten free biscuit breakfast sandwich, only to be told that they “don’t do that anymore.” No explanation given, and their in house menu still has the gluten free biscuit listed as an option. I find it odd that they chose to stop offering a gluten free option, as there are a lot of people who need to be on a gluten free diet, and it’s really not difficult or a burden to have gluten free substitutions available. Cost should have nothing to do with it either, as all restaurants upcharge GF options anyway. A silly move in my opinion.
Pork was very dry and no flavor.Potato salad was just ok.Friendly service.
This place is my favorite place in Hillsboro. Small, family owned spot that gives you quality and quantity. The people are friendly and focused on giving their customers the most laid back positive experience possible. The gravy is life changing :) You will never leave here hungry or disappointed! great for a coffee stop or to sit and chill while enjoying your breakfast.Manuia!
Good food, good coffee, good people. Im a fan of their breakfast offerings and their coffees are always delicious (The Coconut one is fantastic). Good breakfast burritos (especially with the spicy sauce).
Great portion sizes when you order their plates. Their menu is quite limited however with 2 options for entree and 3 sides. I doubt it would be easy to get a meal here if youre a picky eater or vegetarian/vegan.
The BEST biscuits and gravy I have ever eaten in my life! Seriously, and I am a southern girl.
The coffee was tasty and cheap, and the Ford was great as well. A bit more pricey than its worth though. Not enough to be off-putting, just a bit too much to visit often.
Great breakfast burritos! A hidden gem for sure! Friendly Employees!
Good service and tasty food. Prices are a bit higher than expected for the surroundings.
I LOVE their veggie croissant sandwich!! A stroll in farmers market and brunch at Manaias was my thing for a long time!
I got the low carb Bowl. Um wow, hope you like lots of meat! My espresso was good too.
Food and coffee is delicious, but this place literally makes me sick. I have had breakfast here three times with friends, and after all three visits (third visit I just had coffee) I spent my evening praying to the porcelain God.None of my friends get sick from their food, but something in there food/drink does not agree with me at all.
Nice stop while walking the town and visiting shops, would recommend to anyone
The reason I took away a star is because the pork can be hit-or-miss. Often its just perfect - tender, flavorful, moist, and with a toothsome texture. Occasionally though it will be quite fatty and soft, or even overcooked and burnt past caramelization. I still get it every time though, because the 1/5 times its mediocre is a fair price to pay for the other four to be sublime. The house-made hot sauce is unique and absolutely killer! I want it on chicken wings, but I digress. Lavender lattes and lemonade are a dream come true, and Ive heard the salad is top-notch.
Not impressed. It took forever to order with just a handful of people in front of me. I ordered the chickebisland rice bowl and finally got it 20 mins later. Just chicken and rice with some sauce. Would not come here again.
The food tasted ok for a first time but our biscuits and gravy man, the gravy took over and there wasn’t enough biscuit to eat all the gravy. The service was good and in general the food to very cute place there and amazing coffee
Mama is cafe was so yummy! I went there for the first time for lunch and I got a salad to take home for dinner! I will always plan a meal there whenever Im in Hillsboro!
Despite getting a weird look from a worker while breastfeeding my baby here, the food is amazing, the coffee is good, and I appreciate that they try to use organic ingredients. They also have a kids corner, which is nice, but it needs a little TLC.
Dont even know how downtown Starbucks is still in business? Great coffee, food, and staff! I love this place!!
Fantastic food.Love the breakfast burrito and plate lunches.Good coffee and infused teas.Ask for a punch card, you will be back.
Friendly service and one of the best breakfast burritos Ive ever had. Look forward to trying their other items. Really outstanding.
Just popped in here with a friend for coffee. Im not a big coffee connoiseur. Ill have to come back in for the food as it smelled pretty good while we were here.
Best coffee in the area but also excellent rice bowls and breskfast burritos. Family owned and run by some of the nicest people you will ever meet!
Food is awesome, coffee is awesome, and the yellow cake is amazing. Great local joint with great people running the place. This is my preferred place to grab a bite when in Hillsboro, when open, watch the hours.
I tried their new online ordering, asking to pick it up 20 minutes later than when I ordered, they are pretty slow here so I thought this would help, but it didnt, still waited another 15 minutes past my pick up time. Had to ask again and the stone faced lady just glared at me.🤨 Its lunch people, time is of the essence and theyre always understaffed (hmm, wonder why😑 no joy here) Food is ok, but no one smiles here. Its too bad the place had potential.Update: Just added another star as the owner gave my boss a free drink ticket to give me, so I will try again and I look forward to it! 😊
Great breakfast fairr. I had a veggie croissant it was picture perfect and tasted amazing.
This place is so far my favorite out of everything in Hillsboro area. The food is fresh and love the price. If you are in the neighborhood and looking for some Hawaiian food, go to Manaia.
Great service and the food is incredible. I love the old school music they play.
Food horrible service terrible. Over priced
This is a great gem in downtown Hillsboro!! Great coffee, mouth watering fresh breakfast bagels and croissants, and great people!! Our order was off, but they made it right and I wont buy coffee or quick breakfast items anywhere else!
This place is a gift to the city of Hillsboro! The folks that run this restaurant are top notch and thats not even mentioning their food! The food is so flavorful and massive portions. I have to get the small plate each time I go and it still fills me up! I cant recommend this place enough. The only negative and I mean this in the best constructive way possible, is when they have the lunch rush, it can take a while to get your meal (we only get 30 minutes for our lunch break - but we have learned to call ahead). But it is worth every wait!
Quick service. Freshly grilled meats, and an overall positive and delicious experience! Will be back!
VERY expensive for what you get for lunch. The meat portions and rice are skimpy but they like to charge as much as some of the other Hawaiian restaurants that give you larger servings. Not terribly impressed with lunch.
Manaia Coffee house is a not so hidden gem in the middle of Hillsboro. Stop in for one of the house blend drip coffees or a latte. Have a spicy breakfast burrito one of the best I have found in the Portland aria. Make sure you have the Hawaiian pork it is tender and exceptionly flavorful. The owers are great and treat everyone like family. My only regret is not finding this place sooner.
Nice lively restaurant. Atmosphere is welcoming and coffee was delicious. Sent was quick and efficient.
Cute coffee shop. Friendly service. They have one type organic breakfast tea.
Calm setting. Loved the veggie sandwich
Decent food, portions are okay, I would say I was expecting more flavor.
