Oh man, this place, Firestone used to be good. Their service guarantee means nothing. Every single step was difficult. The only positive was being able to bring my car in the same day, but that didnt do me any good because it just sat there anyway until the next day! Oh yeah, and they decided to charge me storage for the time it sat. Thats not right. I had just bought the car, they did the pre-buy inspection, then 2 weeks later and it was busted, misfiring cylinder, they were telling me all kinds of things that needed replaced. Gave me a crazy high estimate, over half what I paid for the car! I felt like I was being cheated, didnt trust them. I took it to a local mechanic not far from there, he fixed it up for a 1/3 the price and its running perfectly again. Dont go here, you will have to keep coming back because they never fully fix anything. Ridiculous.
I used to like coming here. But now so crazy... make appointment in the morning... end up waiting all day anyway... first time I thought well we all have those days...second time...meh... third time..appointment to switch a bad tire on rim.. get there they say 2hrs.....3.5 hrs later... whats the point of an appointment then?
The gentlemen who helped me was super helpful and very nice. Called for a tire change and got in the same day. The whole process was super easy and fast. My new go to for car repairs. Not to mention super affordable. thank you!
Mr. Louis was helpful, friendly and nice. Very professional, was nice to have excellent customer service especially in these covid times. The service was great 👍
Firestone has been dealing with my car for some time. They always have a solution to a problem and gets it back in working order. The only time restraint is getting the parts. My car always needs a custom part and it has to come from afar. Professional is the best way to consider the service to to car and these customers.
Best Tire service in Hilo. Louis was my service rep; outstanding service rep. Louis is professional, courteous, friendly, helpful, and fast. Personable without getting distracted. Louis is a great asset for Firestone. It’s people like him who keep me a loyal customer at firestone. Thanks Louis. Jon Sager
Great service, great prices, fastest response in town
Very helpful customer service reps, also was able to get my car in quickly and fixed same day.
Staff is really helpful and kind. Work was completed quickly and without error.
Lost my business for good. Waste of my time and money
Very much pleased. So much Im going back, five stars not good enough I give 100 stars thank you my locàl Firestone
Lifetime alignment is a great deal. However dont expect your vehicle to go in any time near your appointment time. There policy is to work on it from your appointment time up to 2 hours. That is just to start if you are lucky. Also they are slow to acknowledge you when you come in.
I saw the bad reviews here but thought i would give them a chance to prove themselves as they always seem to reply to every review willing to make it right. It was a horrible first experience and bad customer service. As stated in multiple reviews your appointment time doesnt mean a thing there and you are never told this when you drop off your vehicle. They dont honor online purchases so be prepared to have a balance upon check out even though they only completed exactly what your invoice states which was already paid in full. The mechanics seem to work hard and changed my tires well. No complaints there, just bad management.
Horrible customer service skills. They obviously don’t know how to treat their big money spending customers. Got ignored in front for about 30 minutes.
Excellent service and the manager was so helpful and went the extra step for us since it was Sunday.
Only needed 1 tire replacement due to a flat... That took hours, not the labor part but the paperwork side. There was only 2 people ahead of me.
Excellent services. Had all my automotive needs completed.
Junk customer service. I made a appointment for wheel alignment but they told me they busy so they can’t do it. so pretty much I made appointment for nothing waste time
Although personable and professional they were unable/unwilling to fix the break calipers on a Mitsubishi. We took the car to Lex Brodies with much better results.
I came in with one objective: get rid of the annoying sound on my truck! it is now 3 days and my truck is still not fixed! im disaappinted because they suggest other things that relevant to the annoying sound but i only lost money paying them. but the problem that I needed to be fixed, does not fixed at all. I throw away thousand dollars for nothing! I am angry and sad at the same time! I dont have that kind of money to just flipped it out the window.. Now Im broke but the problem on my truck is still exist!
They dont have what you want and see online ever. You always spend more money than you plan/want to.
Worst service ever,10::00 appointment left finally at 2:00,used me catch up on other over booked appointments...no Aloha at this business......it was an only 4 tires
Whats the point of making an appointment if you still have to wait 2 hours? LAME
They were able to get us in and get a new set of tires and a complete vehicle check in under 4 hours. Wow!! Loved getting the truck taken care of, with great service and help.
I never thought that it would take hours upon hours to get a car looked at. Ended up having to leave the car overnight and getting a ride home so I can go to work the next day.
Worst service Ive ever had. Went for a simple tire rotation. Appointment was set at 10am they said it may take a couple of hours which was fine because it seems like they were busy. Came back at 1pm car was barely getting pulled into the shop. Mechanic took tires off and disappeared for 30 mins not even working on the car. Finally had enough told them to put tires back on because it is now almost 2pm. Over heard mechanic complaining we were staring at him when I was just trying to see what was being done to the car. Incompetent Mechanic needs to be reviewed. Seen other reviews about how slow this operation is, but decided to give them a shot. What a mistake. Seems like I should trusted the reviews and stayed away from this shop.
Went in for tires and wheel alignment only. They said I need to change my timing belt!My regular mechanic said NO WAY!!!!!!RIPPPPP OFFFFFF COMPANY!!!!!
Today experience was excellent, I came in at 7:46amChecked in addressed what needed to be done, brakes needed to be bleed, valve cover gasket & spark plugs.By noon I did a pre-check of my vehicle, under the hood and a walk around to be sure that everything is good, also checked dash info to be sure that everything has been reset. Bottom line is that Im really glad (satisfied) with all of the services that I have received from Firestone and there employees. I highly recommend Firestone to myFamily and friends.Sincerely,H. Jeremiah
Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! Long story short, my wife went in for a simple $20 tire plug and instead left with a new $250 tire and BROKEN air sensor. Not impressed with the customer service we got when we brought the truck back to have a look at the sensor. Seemed like theyre used to having customers return with sabotage vehicles because they had a whole story line that sounded rehearsed. It wasnt until I told the manager that I was a former employee of Firestone and they will stop playing games with me and fix what they broke that they agreed to replace the sensor.Theyll sell you part you dont need and sabotage others so youll be back.
Unless you have a newish vehicle, all stock(no aftermarket parts) these guys can’t help you. Went in for an alignment and was told my front end needs to be rebuilt(with stock tie rod/steering components)... I spent more money to get rid of all that for a stronger set up than stock, but was told it’s, “excessively unsafe to be driven “, “everything’s loose”, what a joke.btw they’re called Heim joints, designed to pivot, with nuts cranked to 150ft lbs(def not loose) Went to an acquaintances shop on the other side of the island, and my steering wheel is back to centered in under 10 min. Theyre nice enough at the desk but staff/mechanics not too knowledgeable with alternative setups. Wasted 3 hrs like many before.
Reasonable shop. Reasonable charges. Decent staff.
They seam all ways helpful everytime I go there
This place is awesome. As a person who buys and sell cars regularly, i have employees on the payroll to fix stuff. But, my personal car, my 1993 Toyota pickup, my baby! I took her in cause i knew she had some severe issues, and she needed new tires. They addressed all the issues in a day, pulled me a quote. A reasonable quote. And i had my truck back 2 days later. Shes running like she just came off the line!
Firestone is tops in my opinion. No such thing as better prices, warranties, service, or professionalism. Theyre so fast and efficient, friendly and patient. They go out of their way to inform the customer, honor their warranties, and offer services at very competitive prices. They let me know what my car needs, the best alternatives and such, and they never try to pressure me into buying parts or services. They explain very well whats best and why, and what can be expected in every scenario. I cant say enough good about them.Excellent attitudes and customer service.
Excellent customer service
All the same dance. Mechanic shuffle.Inside the shrug shoulder.🤷🏻♂️Work complete, car in the air, mechanic working on another car? Two hours later?!I can do this in 15 minutes myself. Wow.Total mismanagement of time.Never again. Even if it was free!!!!
Have been here twice with an appointment. Even if you set an appointment the wait time will be at least 2 hours. While the prices are fair, the last experience I had was terrible. I waited 4 hours only to find out they changed the wrong tire and had to wait another half hour just to get the tire put back on and the right tire changed.
My mother went here for an oil change where they recommended replacing her front brakes with rotors, her cabin filter and air filter. They told her that she needed to replace her rotors because there was a rock between the pads and rotors. I have now worked in the automotive field for over 10 years, half of that running and fixing service departments and this sounded a little suspect because I know that in most cases you can resurface the rotors instead of replacing them AND in most cases there is a small rock in the rotors you simply remove the rock and its fine, in most cases. Of course I would have had checked it myself if I werent over 100 miles away.I had my mother take it to Kamaaina Nissan to have the work double checked. in short the vehicles brake pads were at 4mm, they require replacing at 3mm so I had them replaced for preventative maintenance reasons. The vehicle did not need rotors, a cabin filter or air filter.I am extremely disappointed that Firestone Hilo attempted to mislead my mother and take advantage of her. I would like to think the automotive industry has moved past having to take advantage of people, but unfortunately this is not the case. One thing is for sure, it all starts at the top. I do not recommend coming to firestone unless you want to be ripped off.
My car runs great and I am greatful that they take good care of my car. Mahalo!
Always a waiting game! Hour and a half for them to bring out 2 batteries.
Slowww service. Decent prices but long wait time. Ive been here twice and each time has been a long wait... 3hr wait time for an alignment the first time. Second time I was asked what time I wanted to come in and I sad 1130. I dropped it off at 11 and wasnt touched for the first hour and a half. ... Checked at 2:13pm and was told another hour... Two tires... Thats it... As a certified Hyundai tech, I am very surprised and unimpressed with the quality of service and professionalism.
I called on a Friday to schedule a appointment to do a routine car inspection and to change my oil and rotate my tires. I asked about how long it should take I was informed about 1 1/2 hours 2 max. So I scheduled it for Saturday at 11 am since I coming from far. When I arrive for my appointment Im informed that they are busy and only have 2 technicians. They lady says oh well it will take at least 4 hours . I did tell her what I was told the day before and I was told oh well things change. Then asked me oh you want to reschedule so I tell her I drove all the way from out of town why would I want to reschedule. I left my car there and I came back like 3 and a half hours later my car still hasnt been touched. So I asked them how long more i was informed they dont know there is another car in front of me yet. Why the hell do they make appointments if they wont work on it in a timely matter. So frustrating. My thing is if you have something to do dont bother going here .
Ive been standing. Waiting for 45 minutes now. Customer service doesnt even acknowledge me for 40 minutes. They were trying to service and fix the printer before acknowledging me. They need more people working in the front at the hilo store. And they need to clean the lobby. They just need more help at hilo store! They have good intentions. But the customer load is too much to handle. Wait times are very long. And phones arent being answered.
Best prices I could find! First time in for an oil change took longer than expected, but the second time for a 4-tire took less than an hour! Your service really depends on your mechanic here. This older gentleman was a professional.
My experience with firestone was literally the worst experience Ive ever had in my life.First of all, I chose Firestone because I believed that they were a reputable business and did their due diligence when hiring their employees. However, this was not the case in my opinion.I had called into firestone on a Saturday morning stating that I believed there was an issue with my breaks, explaining that I felt the car slightly jolt while I was breaking and I wanted to bring the car in to check if the issue was regarding my breaks or possibly something else. Dropped my car off and 5 hours later get a call saying that my breaks were worn down and that they needed to be changed. So I think yes, they drove the car, the felt the jolt, they found a problem with my breaks. I give them the okay to fix my breaks. We go to firestone to pick up my car and see that an employee is coming back from a second test drive... $600 and 8 hours later I get my car back but soon as I drive off the lot I can feel the jolt in my car as Im breaking..I come back the next day (Sunday) explaining that the issue is still occurring and the manager (Louie) rudely tells me that there is nothing that he can do for me and that Ill have to bring the car in another time for the technician to test drive the car. I bring the car back the following Saturday and wait a total of 2 hour for the tech to test drive the car.. he then tells me the issue is with my transmission.. not the breaks? WHY WAS THIS NOT CAUGHT THE FIRST TWO TIMES YOU DROVE THE CAR?On the wall of the firestone, there is a disclaimer stating fixed right the first time or its free but when I asked for a refund they put all the blame on me stating that you told us that there was a problem with your breaks and Im thinking 1. I know NOTHING about cars 2. Why did you not catch this the first time? 3. Why is there no responsibility for mistakes being taken by this business? At this point Im brought to tears in the store because hes telling me that I paid $600 to get my breaks fixed (only the front breaks, which is an outrageous amount of money, when they told me $600 I thought they meant and back and front) and I need to spend another $1000 to actually get the issue fixed. The customer service rep is being so rude telling me that he needs to help the next customer, which I understand, other people were waiting, however, I waited in line for over 30 minutes for my turn and he was telling me that he needed to tend to these other customers. Finally I gave up and went home. I ended up calling the firestone corporate office and filed a complaint on this location. 2 hours later I got a call from the firestone location in Hilo stating that they were willing to give back $200 of the $600 that I paid. I had so much stress and anxiety regarding this issue for the past week that I just gave in and took the $200..Writing this review so that others do not fall into the same trap that I did. If you are reading this and wondering if you should go to this location to service your car.. save yourself some time and money and go to a local business rather than a franchises company.
Ordered tires weeks ahead of time. Set appointment online. Confirmed that tires would arrive. Dropped off car for 8a appointment. Got checked in, signed the work order to have the tires installed. Received a call 2 hours later that they didnt have the tires, they were back ordered and they didnt even know when they may get them. So didnt even bother to confirm when I was in the store. Manager offered to get tires from Goodrich or something, but I need to start over my search, crossing Firestone off the list. So, couple hours out of my day to get nothing accomplished. And when I went to pick up my vehicle, I was handed the keys and told See you soon. No mention made of the confusion, no discussion about how things may be able to get taken care of in the future. Just the presumption that I should come back.
I showed up after theyre closing time and I had a flat tire and they couldnt repair it but they put a new tire on for me. Awesome customer service. Highly recommend!
To be honest, I should rate you zero. You lie and you cheat your customers. Shame on you. All you slick and crooked salesmen should not be employed in this line of work. You’re ruining people’s properties just to get big bucks out of decent and honest people who don’t know anything about cars. I ask everyone in this community to please avoid doing business with this company unless the company completely replace all crooked salesmen working there. If you are going to take your vehicle there be very specific about what job you need to get done. Also, make sure you check every other parts are working properly because they’re going call and tell you that they discover other deficiencies that would need immediate attention. This is where they will try to make most of your dollars. Don’t be fooled. If they ask you to run some tests tell them hell no. Believe me you, this is where they get the opportunity to create whatever deficiency they said they found. Firestone now is not the Firestone Hilo used to know. I have nothing against the company,,,,, just the crooked peeps working for the company. I very disgusted by the kind of business and service you’re providing nowadays.P.sThanks a bunch....my mom’s truck cooling system is terribly broken after you ran some phony tests. All I asked for was an oil change. System was not leaking before I brought the truck there. A day later after you serviced the truck, cooling system leaks. Shame on you....
Your Family will be Safe as well as saving a good amount of money, and the tires are Top Notch.
These people do not value your time at all. I said I have to be on the road by 1 for my sons nap. They said it would be two hours. Terrible customer service. Had a10:30 appointment for two tires and an oil change... no calls cam.so I went back at 1:30. Car on the rack, no tires. Four hours later they tell me my battery is dead and I cant leave until I drop another $150. Had my two year old... Way past nap. After talking with some friends I found out they are famous for untimeliness.Good tires, if you dont have anything else going on in your life.
The prices are the best!
Originally I was just getting two tires until they found something wrong with the two rear tires they were “separating” whatever that means. so I was willing to get all four but they didn’t have more and asked me if I wanted to upgrade at that point it was already passed $500 so I said no just do the rear tires and move those to the front sooo I’m not coming back and I’m getting the two other tires elsewhere. Not to mention this all took 3 hours ... THREE HOURS ..! to replace two tires?
5 stars for price, 0 stars for service. Why even make an appointment when they don’t bother? Appointment @ 1:55 PM, Got there at 1:45 as a courtesy to the store. Was told 2 hours. Didn’t get my car on the rack till 4:00. Tech took way too much time, 1 hour 40 minutes for 4 tires. Didn’t get out till 5:45. Very dishonest, they knew it would take that long. Ironic, there being a plaque on the wall about building a business based on honesty! Again, why even bother to make an appointment? Good price, but I’ll always have a pit in my stomach when I think about my experience at Hilo Firestone.
Great people, parking is horrible though
Seems to be a decent place. Hard working people. But my tire pressure wasnt checked even though they said it was. All tires were 8# low.
Slow service and worst customer service. Been a customer for over 25 years and there is no consideration for long time customers. Really sad service and even sadder customer service.
Had to buy 4 new tires as 1 tire was flat & could not be repaired. AWD cars need to replace all tires with unrepairabie flat tire. It was ok because the tires had 53,000 miles on them. I also got the lifetime awd wheel alignment and my new tires include tire rotation and the hazard insurance on all tires. The total charge was about $1000. so not bad for everything I received. The employees there were very nice in spite of this happening on a busy Saturday. I had to return the next day because of a screw in the same rear passenger new tire. Fortunately it didnt go through the tire but was laying in between the treads. It was removed and there was no charge for this misshap.
Fixed our truck faster than what they said they could! Cost a little more but worth it. Even got a warranty on the work! Thanks Fire Stone! Update... The part they put in lasted as long as the warranty, they wanted more to fix it. Went eles were n cost $300 less than Firestone!!
I cant recommended this Firestone enough. The staff were friendly and not pushy! If you have ever been to a manufacturer service center the upsell game is always being played. The folks at Firestone provided me with the service I wanted without the pressure. There was recommended service per the manufacturers guidelines. I was made aware but not forced into making an appointment. I did call back later and book that service. The waiting room is indoors and air conditioned. There is complimentary coffee in a Keurig. The only negative is that there is no shuttle service. But knowing that in advance you can plan for it.If you dont know someone I highly recommend checking this Firestone out. I will be back.
Always excellent service and wonderful staff. Been coming here for over 10years now and they just keep getting better 😊
The took two hours to do an oil change. Ive had two appointments there and both times they didnt even start on my car until and hour after. You spend way more time then you should there. But the prices are pretty good. Customer service sucks.
Very nice service and location and courteous service personal. Also can have a snack at quick stop right next door. Very nice clean courteous and convenient.
Good deals on tires but this place is horrible. They will try to sell you things you do not need and sabotage things for money. Stay away!
The staff are always considerate and the waiting area has a TV and comfortable couches. Theres a large gas station next door that has good coffee and other things
Im not an auto expert, but they fixed my car issues as far as I can tell. Sometimes they arent very clear when calling about an issue. Good, detailed auto reports after work is completed, but they recommended a lot of preventative maintenance services (over $500 worth) that were either unnecessary or had been recently done already. Do a little research online before agreeing to recommended services if possible.
Reasonably prompt and courteous service. A little over $100 for a new 205/65/15R tire installed. A/C waiting room/lobby was appreciated.
No matter how long it takes they always get the job done. Front desk very nice people. Can be very costly so beforehand get as many coupons on line like Oil Change, discounts for Window Wiper Blades, etc. I always leave a whole day open when the car has to go in. Pretty much the same all other places.
Worst ever ever experience! Car broke down and was towed there. Won’t accept PayPal or credit card over phone. What? Tried to strong arm me into signing up for their credit card. Refused to even look at it until they had money in hand. Took two days and $750 for a battery and alternator. Glad to get out alive. Not Pono! Phone rang and rang. Do not use this service! They have very poor manners and information given to them by me was lost. And not one ounce of empathy for our situation at all.Boo!
I got all new tires here in December... Once finished I came back to pick up my car and the front left tire was flat- they fixed it free of charge. About a month ago I started noticing a squeeky noise coming from that tire and I cant help but think it was something they did wrong. I recently called them to inquire how much an oil change is and to possibly schedule one. A man answered the phone and I could hardly understand him. I asked how much an oil change was and all I hear is some mumbling. I start saying hello, hello, hello after about 30 seconds. I hear nothing until he comes back on the phone and just says, it is about 38 bucks. Although that is 2 dollars cheaper than Midas, I will be bringing it there instead. I need to be greeted properly, told nicely to hold on one moment while I find out, and then ask if there is anything else I need and then end the call politely. I wont be returning which is a real bummer because I purchased the lifetime tire rotation through them in December.
First off I call to make an appointment to check my brakes. Guy on the phone says oh we dont make appointments but we open at 7 and to just come at 7. So whatever odd as it was I came right when they opened at 7. Second I drop my truck off at 7:15am and at 1 p.m. my car still had not been touched to give me an estimate of how much my brake service is going to cost. I call back at 2:30 to be informed of all the all of sudden problems with my brake system and a $1k price tag before tax and the added oh and if you do what we recommend its gonna be $1600 before tax. I literally just went to Goodyear to change the brakes on my wifes car and it cost $300. Seems rather stark the differences in prices. Instead of just doing a simple brake service these clowns want to try and tack on everything they can. Well sorry terrible wait time communication and pricing = taking my business elsewhere.
Terrible...they wouldnt even mount my brand new tire on a rim in good shape that already had a valve stem without the car......BECAUSE I DIDNT WANT IT BALANCED... WTF?? I would have to pay to have it balanced even tho I dont want/need it to be. And yes the tire is brand new.
Worst service ever!!!! Avoid this place at all costs. Dont know why they make appointments. Its a Joke!Had 10am apt, told one to 2 hours for an oil change. Ive been here 2 hours and the car hasnt been touched yet. Just told 2 cars ahead of me. Only one tech doing oil changes.Very Bad way to run a Business. No Respect for Customers and their time.
Good honest work but SO SO SLOW! good customer service experience everything i go. They had more seating in the waiting room but the recent visit was disappointing because they only had 6 seats total. They were all taken so my son and I were left standing for almost an hour after waiting.
If you have all day, disregard my 1 star.
Excellent service and great prices. More then just tires with many repair options.
DO NOT GO! VERY INEXPERIENCED WORKERS. VERY EXPENSIVE FOR SIMPLE JOBS. SPENT $1,000 & CAR WAS WORSE. TOW TRUCK DRIVER SAID HE RETURNS CARS 4 TO 5 TIMES A WEEK. UNREAL HOW HARD IT IS TO FIND GOOD MECHANICS. THATS A FACT!
Horrible service, guy behind the counter does not care about helping people or giving options to help. Had a screw in my tire and I rather drive it home then deal with that guy!
Didnt have tires o eas looking for trying to sell me 1 tire for 300 bucks
Good customer care, decent prices.
I called their store to get a quote to purchase 4 new tires. I gave them all the information that was found on the tires that was already on our vehicle. I really dont think that he knew what he was talking about because he kept asking me what type of tire I wanted and I kept telling him the same kind that we have now or something compatible to the numbers I gave him. You would think that they would be able to cross match with the numbers I gave him. There were no other numbers on the tires for me to give. Gave him name of tire, numbers on tire, literally everything that was on the tire and it seemed like he didnt understand. I think they need to train their employees more. Finally gave up, thanked him and hung up to look else where.
ABSOLUTE WORST! Waited 25 minutes to drop off the car. Waited over 30 to pick up my car. This is the worst customer service on Big Island. 1 person working the counter on a busy weekend? I will go to Lex Brodie from now on.
The worst customer service i have ever experienced. I wish I could give half a star. If you want to waste your whole day then take your car here. Or if you want to experience a whole bunch of indifference these workers feel for making their customers wait forever go here. If not NEVER and I mean NEVER go here. This is my story: I showed up early for my 1pm appointment for a brake inspection because my brand new brakes I got from firestone in April were squeaking. Around 230p I go to their office a lady comes out and I asked her how much longer it was going to be for the inspection. She says ok then goes back into the office never to come back out to give me an answer. Ten minutes later I say excuse me so a different girl comes out and asks if I needed anything. I again asked how long my inspection was going to take. This one also says ok then goes back in the office to sit down and finish eating. Nobody ever comes to answer my question. So at 3pm the guy who took my key (Jonathan) comes back in to tell me everything is fine there’s jus build up but that could be the environment. I tell him that it’s weird that my brakes only squeaked after getting them replaced here so it’s not the environment. So he says well we can clean it or you can get new pads for almost $200. Excuse me I don’t think so. I told him that I wanted them cleaned cuz I’m not giving this place another penny. I also tell him that their customer service needs to improve because I asked 2 ladies how much longer the inspection was going to take and nobody ever answered me. He then tells me oh one of them was trying to find out the price quote for the other pad. I told him all she needed to do was come out or send the other girl out to tell me that. Simple. So I ask him how long it’s gonna take for the cleaning of the pads and he tells me as long if not longer than the inspection. As I’m sitting in the waiting area I can see that nobody has touched my SUV yet. It’s almost 5pm and I have seen almost all the people that came after me leave and I am still waiting for my car. At 519pm Jonathan comes in to let me know they are on the last wheel and that I should be out of there soon. Then around 556pm Jonathan comes back in to tell me that it’s taking a lot longer than they thought. Yeah I know I’ve been here watching the workers laugh it up while they rare working while I’m waiting. Then basically telling me that it’s almost 6pm. I know what time it is. I felt like he was gonna try to convince me to leave my car. Sorry that is the only car I have that I need to drive my toddler around in. So I told them that they need to fix my car and then he tells me that it’s cuz of some pin not fitting so they’re trying to fix it. At this point I’m raging on the inside. Finally at around 615pm I see that they finally put my tire on and lowered my suv. After they reverse it out that’s the last I see of it. So I’m waiting for them to bring my key and all the workers have disappeared from the front. At 645pm I’ve finally reached my limit and start to pound on the glass that looks out into the garage. Trying to grab anyone’s attention. Finally one of the workers comes in the front and I’m like where the hell is my damn car. She says oh they are working on it in the back cuz it was making some noise. And I tell her well it would’ve been nice to know that they were working on it instead of being clueless in here. Basic and simple customer service. For all I knew the guy took it for a joy ride and I’m trying to contain a 3 year old who has been restless since 4pm. I finally got my car at 712pm which is ridiculous. Jonathan apologized for it taking so long but the other worker said there was a noise. I told him well you guys need to work on informing your customers about what’s going on with their automobiles. All I get is a lame sorry and that my cars right in front and at this point I’m just done with this place. I take my keys and get the hell out. I am informing all my friends, family and coworkers about this horrible place/workers.
Great customer service
Avoid this place, tried to quote me a $4k job on something that would have not fixed the problem in my car that I asked them to check on.
Only 1 person working in front, but service was good.
Took my sisters car in to see why it was flat. They made me replace it. Tires were only 2 years old and she doesnt go anywhere. Took it to my own mechanic and found out it was the rims that were corroded and the tire was fine. The guy wouldnt look at me-just did what he had to do to get me out of there. No service. No aloha
I would just like to say that we needed a tire that was not in stock anywhere in Hilo. There is an employee there by the name of Laurie and she was amazing. She went out of her way to find that tire for us. She saw a need and met that need promptly and with utmost courtesy. You dont see customer service like that too much anymore. Thank you again to Firestone and to the outstanding service we received from Laurie.Leanora KakuBig Isle Auto Care
In spite of not so good previous reviews, I took a chance to get my car oil changed. It was greater than I expected! Louis at the desk was very nice and job well done!
Great management and mechanics demonstrated by active integrity!!
This has to be the worst tire shop in Hilo. Its like they dont want your busines . Just sat at the desk for 15 minutes getting ignored by 2 employees. Ill shop somewhere else from now o .
Friendly, helpful and I didnt have to wait to long.
Great work! I was back on the road fairly quick.
They gave us good deals. N a discount for membership starting
I had an oil change. Afterwards there was an oil leak. car was old but never leaked a drop of anything. I took car back in, they had their best guy check it out. Took me out into the bay to show me they did nothing wrong and gave me an estimate of a couple of hundred dollars to find and fix the oil leak. I opted to wait. Guess what ?? next time I had an oil change from some one else the oil leak stopped......
They got me in and out super early before work and I really appreciated that.
Had a appointment at 11:00 am they didnt even look at it till 1:00 .Appointment was for complete auto check also told them front passenger tire was leaking and the brake6s sometimes would go to the floor. Also I have a vibration in thr car when I get to the speed 25 to 55 they didnt check it until I was ready to leave and asked them again what they thought it was they said it might be the transmission but they dont work on them.after the auto check they said everything is ok, if everything is ok then why all the problems. Firestone is really going down hill !!
