I really only shop for sales here because the regular mdse prices are more than I want to spend. I usually find really good sales deals here. And the staff is very helpful indeed.
Going out of business. Lost one star for closing just as I bought a house. Nice folks. Sad to see them go.
First, very glad to have a pier 1 on this side of the island!! so thanks for that. michelle, store manager, is amazing. she helped me find the sectional and cushions that would work for my home, and made sure i got all the available discounts to get the price down. 6 mo later, and i am not happy with the cushions. so she is taking them back and refunding the whole amount i paid for them. customer service doesnt get any better than that. i wish pier 1 offered higher quality cushions for the sectional, so that is why i took 1 star off. but that is not the stores fault or the managers; that is a corporate decision to buy cheap stuff. the sectional itself is very nice. i had to custom order cushions for it to get the quality i want, another $1400 and 4 week wait :(
Seems you wont be able to return anything you buy. Bought two vases ($80 each!), brought them home, and put some water and flowers in them. All the water leaked out. Brought the vases back to return. The assistant manager decided that since wed put water in the vase they were damaged (this without looking at them... we had a poor salesperson running back and forth between us and the assistant manager). True, on the back of the tag in small print it says for dry arrangements only, but on the front it says VASE in big letters. Never occurred to me at that price they wouldnt hold water. Sticking to Walmart and Target from now on... save $50 and get something that actually works!
Service is always amazing in this particular store. At one point they didn’t quite have what I needed and the staff was willing to do an extensive search for it, including in their warehouse. The sales are pretty awesome as well. I get in trouble with my wallet every time I visit.
Something for every room in the home. Lots of colors and textures to chose from. Always eye candy.
Ive been reading others reviews and its sad that they would ask a maybe potential customer to leave if not realizing they are to fit a product, especially chairs or other furniture. Look at me it took me almost two months to get an awesome picture frame for a 4x6 I carried of my fiance in my purse. And I got it at a Ross. It is also sad that selections arent great here in Hilo, because many years back I shipped a glass coffee table from Oahu back here to the big island. I to was very excited when pier one was to first be here, but am sadly disappointed in selection and no real good furniture selection. I had to give it a one star, its the only way I could leave a post.
This store is one of my absolute favorites. It always has lovely things. It Lways smells good and looks clean. I do think it is very over priced however.
Over priced. Currently going out of business. Only bars and bento shops make money in Hilo.
Going out of buisness!! Has some good deals, otherwise very experience.
Fun place to shop or browse. Nice furniture.
Nice stuff but a lot of items overpriced. You can find some good deals if you look a little
Love this store. Always shopped at Pier1 on the mainland. Prices are too high here, Especially when you can buy just as nice things at TJ Maxx, for Alitalia less
Sometimes I visit the Pier 1 Imports store in Hilo, Hawaii to try to get ideas for future decorating purchases. However, today I was surprised by PJ (Paloma), when she asked me how long I was going to be sitting there for because she did not want me to sit there. So I switched chairs because she was inappropriate and rude for doing this. She then came up to me again and said that she preferred if I would leave and go sit out in the common area because she saw me sitting in the store before. So I left and this really turned me and my wife off from visiting your store and buying items for our new home. I was surprised that Pier 1 would have a policy like that in place. I have worked retail before, and many people would sit in many types of furniture and I would ask them if I could help them or try to sell them something or leave them alone. Not only did I feel unwelcome, I feel I would not recommend this store to my family if they were going to be treated this way.
According to local papers will be closing soon. Early 2020
A little pricey, but better choices
This is an okay store. Tight quarters but good stuff.
Beautiful store but pricey
Kind of high priced. But what do U expect for quality stuff!
CSRs do too much chatting amongst themselves instead of assisting customers.
Beauty lies within.
Love their stuff!
Great store, good selection, and friendly staff.
Will never buy anything from this store. Was sitting at a table that we were looking at when we were told if we’re not buying anything we need to leave. What rude service
Love this store
Its okay
I sell a lot of pretty things, but not much I can take
