CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS. They charge different price than items are marked and for plastic bags, even if you do not get one. They will argue it is tax but then there is a line item for tax.

The cashiers and the owners are very sweet

This store sold me a bottle of red wine with a cork that was rotting on the inside. I took the bottle and cork back to show the shop owner to exchange it for a new bottle of the same wine, and the shop owner refused. They then told me I must just not like the taste of the wine - I asked for the same wine in exchange and this is a wine we drink often - I explained this to them. I even asked them to taste it to check themselves; they refused and told me to call the cops if I have a problem!! I live down the road and will not be buying anything from this store again.

Agreed. Way way way too overpriced! Its a shame because its conveniently located next to my apartment, but I would rather travel a little bit farther away to pay a reasonable price. There are a SELECT FEW wines and beers that are inexpensive, however.

Wayyyyyyyy too over priced! I dont understand how they can get away with charging so much. Its almost price gauging. The owners have such a terrible attitude towards customers, which is a shame because customers are the reason why businesses thrive in Hoboken.
