Pep Boys has very bad customer service. The New manager so the worst at customer service. He has no listening skills, he yells at the Employees out in the open, every one doesnt need to know he was late for work. Yells at customers on the phone. He doesnt like being management, and it shows. Cheated me out my money. NEVER GOING BACK!!!! And Recommend No else especially go there. PEP BOYS ON 860 & STATE RD 7.

I signed up for full break service online.. includes inspection, pads,, turn rotors off car and warranty.. The manager and technicians are not competent. I explained 3 times, once when I dropped car off and two phone calls that the issue was shaking when stopping several times, front brakes needed service. turn rotors if necessary. They said they were fine, just replaced back pads and returned car. when I called them back after pickup and car still shaking, they said they dont turn rotors. their equipment is broken for 5 years. Fix your website to reflect actual service capabilities. Hire competent techs. Fix your equipment.
The worst possible customer service you will ever have. I made appointment for 9am on Sunday 7/18/21 for a simple oil change. Mind you the store opens at 9am but this location did open its doors until 9:15am. Since people are waiting outside to get inside of the store to receive service I automatically assume that my appointment didn’t matter anymore. I was definitely right about my assumption & had to wait more than 3 hrs to get a simple oil change. Making an appointment does not matter & they don’t care about your time. They will offer you a free Lyft to go home & wait for a call for to come back. However you have to pay your way back here to get your vehicle which doesn’t make the situation any better. Every single Pep Boys location is no better than what I experience in this location but this location is by far the worst. Never come here to get service.
Do not bring your vehicle here for any battery related issues. They will lie and tell you that the battery needs replacing even if it doesnt. I was told I had a bad cell and after taking 3 separate tests at different locations I found out the battery was almost new with perfect voltage and cca.
Called this location for information about walk-in wait times, was told over 2 hours. Set an appointment later in the week, tires were in stock started the process, had to ask on a eta and was told wait times are over two hours, whats the point of scheduling an appointment?Reply: No thank you, Goodyear scheduled me in right after leaving pepboys, had the tires with similar pricing and had it done in less than a hour and a half while short-handed.

Walk away! Came in for 4 tires at 10:42am, they were done at 2:50pm. I was told that all I had was annoul change before me ( I guess the where using an IV). You do the math, when asked why they took so long the manager got in my face very defensive and loud very unprofessional thinking that by calling Sir that it was sufficient to stand his ground. I strongly advice not to ever use this facility. He said he did not have the time to advice any customers of their status ( 4 hours).I dont think they will be open much longer. Manager needs people skills, training and Jesus.Never again. Check the reviews.They lost me, my business, my family and everyone I know as a customer

Went for an oil change and had a coupon for 34.99 for a conventional oil change, came back to pickup my car i was charged 83 dollars when I asked why was I paying so much I was told by the person I was paying that they dont make the prices. Needless to say, although I only live like 10 min away Ill take my business elsewhere. Crooks!!

Please don’t waste your time coming to Pep Boy’s. They are not professional. They most certainly don’t care how long you wait . They will tell you they are short staff this and that to be patient Well I have been more than patient I brought in the car at 10 am and for oil change and for all four tires to be changed and they move extra slow paced and was told 2-3 hours I waited more than that it’s 4 pm and I spoke with the manger he didn’t care and simply ignored me poor customer service and you will be extremely disappointed with the services you receive here. If I can give less than 1 star I would. Then arguing telling me that I got to wait no matter where I go but this is excessive and very unorganized and unprofessional and they are completely lost there they can’t follow instructions.

I came for Wheel alignment around 12 noon and was informed that my car might take up to 6 hours by the service advisor Ronald despite my confirmed service appointment. They offered me a lyft car to home and to be picked up once the car is ready. At 2:30pm I received a call informing me that the car is ready, and lyft will pick me up to the shop. Lyft arrived 10 minutes late since the driver got the wrong address. When I arrived to the shop I was presented a bill with total $175 instead of 149 due to the state taxes and $14 shop taxes (I was not informed about. When I drove the car out of the shop I noticed thattl the car is still pulling to the side. I went back to the shop and they are working on refixing the car at this moment, however the power is down in the shop and they cant work on the car untill they restor the power. I received my car around 5:45 pm and did a test drive with Gabriel (to be fair Gabriel was professional and friendly).Unfortunately I just drove my car and now its pulling to the other direction. I will seek a refund since they cant do a simple alignment and will send the car to the dealership and get it aligned from the first visit.All this could be avoided by going to details when offering the service prices and doing a quality check before calling the client.I got a very bad experience with this shop and would never comeback neither recommending them to anyone.Update:Visited the shop to give them another opportunity to redo the alignment however the mechanic and the service advisor (Gabriel) adviced me that the right side strut is broken and need to be replaced in order to allign the car. The charge to do the job was (1255) and offered a discount for the inconvenience. I was suspicious and decided to take the car for another mechanic who adviced that the struts are in a perfect condition, however we decided to change them since the car had 85,000 miles. I took the old parts and showed them to Gabriel who confirmed that the right side struts is not broken and confirmed that the mechanic has misdiagnosed the car.Overall, it has been a terrible experience with this shop and a legal action should follow to prevent that from happening for others.Last but not least no one form pepboys did follow up on my complaint ad they promised in their auto email.

Gabriel Ruiz, Franklin, Marcelo, Johnathan and James have a racket going on at this shop. $245.00 they forced me to pay so I can have my vehicle back, didnt do what I requested and I see by the comments this isnt the first time they have done this to customers. Buyer beware. The comments are true about how bad their service is. They added things that were not necessary, lied and deceived me, pressured me to make a decision over the phone while on a roof performing an inspection when I didnt understand what they were charging for completely, didnt tell me about several added fees to the bill such as the tire balance for $15.99 when they offer cheaper options but never told me about them, $5.99 tire warranty which was never offered, just added, $63.00 in labor for the stud to be removed and replaced when it was not necessary, the $3.00 stud fee and they even charged me $3.00 to dispose of my tire when I took it with me. They charged me $129.00 for a new tire and told me that was the cheapest one they had available. I got exactly what I wanted the next day at another shop for less than $25.00 with tax included. The tire was repaired with a patch on the inside like I originally requested and the small hole was on the tread, not the sidewall like Gabriel told me, which he and or other employees have told others from the look of the comments. Im surprised Gabriel has lasted this long as a manager and pep boys checks these comments as they reply to them, so they obviously know whats going on at this particular shop and have for a while now. Gabriel told me over the phone that DOT passed a law that prohibits me from leaving the shop with a vehicle unsafe to justify why he did this to my vehicle without full disclosure and being transparent prior to doing the work. He waited until I showed up and had to pay and he wasnt even present, Franklin had to call him. If what Gabriel said was true, why did they let me leave with a stripped nut on the vehicle which I wanted replaced? If I get stuck on the side of the road and have to remove and replace the tire again, I cant with a stripped nut and its not safe at all being on the side of the road with a flat tire that cant be changed without airtools. The DOT doesnt pass laws, I guess he skipped class that day. I told Gabriel I dont think I should pay for services that I did not need nor ask for. He said hes going to keep my vehicle until I pay and I can sue him to get it back. It seemed as if he said that many times before to other customers who have had issues with this shop. I gave them several chances to make things right and they chose to stand firm on robbing me. I called police to compile a report of the incident and called a friend to be a witness, which I recommend everyone do when in this situation. Ill oblige them with a lawsuit since thats what I have to do. Corporate is aware as I filed a complaint and they havent called me back to resolve this matter either. Im blown away that they are still in business. To top it off, they left grease all over the door, door handle and steering wheel and when I showed up I noticed they backed up into a spot so far that the back drivers tire was off the ground and up onto the concrete parking block found in parking spaces.Edit: As you see below, they write a response yet, I filed a complaint with corporate the day this occurred which I was told it would be escalated to upper management and they have done nothing, not even a call back. I called back the next day after getting the tire repaired and told them if they dont contact me by the next evening 5pm that Ill see them in court.
I had an appointment for 12.30 pm that was given by Pep Boys to replace one tire that was purchased by Pep Boys. I showed up at about 12 noon.I was told by Frank that it will take about two hours before they can work on my vehicle. I asked, even if I had an appointment. Frank did not answer me and walk away and put my paper work in a pouch and hung it on the wall. I went to the waiting room thinking I will be out shortly. An hour pass I didnt mind. Two hours later I enquire and I was told We are working on it. I went back to the waiting room. Three hours later I went back to enquire and again I was told were working on it and I am next. Almost four hours later my vehicle was service. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND PEP BOYS TO ANYONE ESPECIALLY THE LOCATION IN HOLLYWOOD FLORIDA.
I stopped by to get a oil change and I had to wait for 20 minutes to get someone to speak to me. And waiting for 2 hrs before they even look at the car

So I booked an appointment for 1pm. When I got there they took my keys and told me they would call once done. It very clearly said 60 minutes when I booked my appointment online and it did not look too busy. Looking back in hindsight it was strange they were offering to Uber another customer somewhere while they were still waiting for their car. I decided to do some shopping and have some lunch in the area. After coming back at 3:30pm to my car that had not moved (a full hour and a half longer than the service was quoted online) I took my keys and left. What good is an appointment when it gets you nowhere? Very disappointed and will not be back! Save your time and money and go to the Goodyear across the street! Very dissatisfied with the lack of service I received.
My daughter took her car to fix a flat tire and they told her that the tire could not be fixed. The puncture was not in the side wall. She only used the fix a flat that came with her Jetta. Pep boys just wanted to change her tire for a new one because fixing a flat is not as much money. The worst is that they held her 1:30 hours to tell her that, of course, knowing that all tire places around the area we’re about to close for the day. I guess they had to complete their sales numbers for the day and my daughter was the perfect target. Hate this places that are only driven by the quick sale in a dishonest way. They are very short minded, We will never go back to pep boys for anything. Be aware!!!!!
Don’t come to this Pep Boys.I know going to a mechanic takes time. But a simple oil change can not take 3 hours to be performed, specially if you booked an appointment and arrived on time. They just don’t care about you as a customer neither their business. They are simply bad employees. 👎
Its been a while since Ive taken my vehicle to be serviced at PepBoys and there have been some changes done both inside and outside. The waiting room has adequate seats for customers as they sit and wait for their vehicle to be serviced. You can watch whatever program is set on flat screen TV, help yourself to complimentary coffee, or charge your electronic device at the outlet station.The store is divided into three departments: Service & tire, Parts & advice, and Commercial. You can find items such as floor mats, detailing items, car covers, car customization, towing, bulbs, tools, hardware, jacks, wiper blades, antifreeze, coolant, washer fluid, car audio & video, auto repair manuals, and much more.I had a morning appointment for an oil change, but after thorough inspection, they also found the brake fluid and power steering fluid needed to be changed. I decided to get the brake fluid changed. The waiting time was a little over an hour. I received satisfactory customer service and I will be back to get the power steering fluid changed.

I dont mind waiting but the fact that they didnt warn me that I could of driven all the way to Orlando before they touched my car really upset me. One star is not even what I wish to give them, worst service and place to take you car to. I’ve got a better service at Walmart than this place has giving me. I Went there to have replace 4 tires of my Chrysler 200, they ended up braking a few parts in my car. And all because I noticed the guy was screwing the bolts wrong and ruined a tread on a few of them. Then I asked why was he playing too much with my tires. Clearly the guy had no idea what he was doing. I had my 5mnth old baby with me, and I had to wait in their not cleaned waiting area. they took more than 5 hrs just to replace only 4 tires. I even had an “appointment”, I don’t know what that means to them to make an appointment if they don’t follow through their schedule time. I had to take my car to Chrysler to have them replace everything they broke which it costed me around $800 plus labor. This was so unreliable, I had to dispute this service due to their unreliable service and lack of communication and care for my car. And Gabriel ”manager” had the audacity to call me and insult me because I made a dispute and wouldn’t bother to hear me out for me to explain myself and how they neglected my car. Please don’t take you car here if you care for it!

Dropped car off at 11am after making an appointment. Waiting until 5pm no one called I went back they told me it hasnt been touched. If theyre understaffed they should inform tje customers so we can decide if we wanted to wait 6hrs or not for a damn oil change.
Disappointing. The schedule says that they close at 7pm and at 5:45 pm they refused to serve me with a resounding No on my face. They should specify the time of attention for Alignment and Balancing. To this I need to add that I went first to Pep Boys on Stirling rd and they alignment system was not working according to them.

Gabriel was great! When my battery was dying and without asking, he tried to contact the other pep boys which sold me the battery to see if it was still on warranty . I thanked him and said to just put in a new battery. It was quick and painless. Ill remember this in the future!

Richard made my experience great. I had an issue a year ago and haven’t been back. I told myself I wouldn’t go back because I felt like I was being discriminated against since I’m a woman. Richard helped on July 19th with tire installations and kept me posted. He valued my business. I don’t think businesses get enough praise being open during a pandemic. Richard’s excellent customer service deserves to be recognized. I wanted to personally thank him for helping during this time and making sure I am getting to work safely being I’m an essential work. Pep boys please don’t lose an amazing employee!

2 friggin quarts of oil were missing when i changed the oil with a different company!!!! They are shorting people oil so check your oil gage before you leave this location!!!!!
I visited the shop because I loved my PepBoys in New Jersey, where we moved here from. My car started to leak coolant. I took it here to be fixed. Over 700 dollar later (and only 700 after poor negotiation) I left with the idea that it was fixed. I paid for an engine diagnostic, upper housing water hose and new thermostat housing with sensor. Now a month later, it is leaking coolant again and smells strongly of combustion.Also, my coolant is running out at an alarming rate. I called and they said they would look at it again. Pending on how this goes today/tomorrow, Ill edit my review. #StayTuned
Horrible experience after my car was taken to this location 3 times the problem is still not fixed... The technicians and Gabriel the supervisor do not know what they are doing. I received the car back after they “fixed” it and it has problems that were not there at the beginning. I do not recommend them at all.
I made an appointment for 10am, arrived at 9:55am and they just said oh, youre gonna have to wait a couple of hours because there are a few cars that came before you. Whats the point in having an appointment if youre not going to respect it??

Took my car to get a tire repair ( tire losing air) come to pick car up was given keys and told your all good. Never received anything saying what was done to the car. And here it is two days later the tire is still losing air as if nothing was done. ( also when I came to pick up the car I asked what was it a patch or something, I was told yea yea a patch. Don’t know if anything was done at all.

Not a great experience at all we purchased brand new tires 8/3/20 for a 2016 Dodge Ram and got a front wheel alignment two days later the traction light came on and the steering wheel is turnt to the right while driving if we turn the wheel straight it goes to the left. Now we here at Pep Boys to get repaired and they said the alignment shouldn’t have been done cause they don’t have the proper tools have to take it to a Dodge Dealership Wth you did it for then!!!!!!! Totally unacceptable! Now they wanna refund for the alignment ok cool patiently waiting for refund cause the manager ha to refund it 10,20,45 minutes now manager not here yet being in management a manager should always be on site! Never again! Poor service!!!

No need for the copy & paste response “Owner” instead of asking disgruntled customers to email you for further investigation... just go to your Hollywood branch today, unannounced and you’ll get all the evidence you need if you care enough to obtain it. The service employees do not know how to use their words when approached by a customer. I couldn’t get a full sentence out of anyone, let alone anything but a mumble. When I approached the counter, Luis pointed to another guy and had absolutely no personality. A lady addressed two employees and was met with a mumble. On her way out she said bye to everyone and not a single employee said anything back. This wasn’t for lack of hearing her either. I wasn’t greeted, there was no eye contact, instead they kept their air pods in and stared at the screen. Don’t bother calling because they never answer, they just stare at the phone while it rings. This is probably the worst place I’ve ever had service at. The only reason I am here is for my free oil change. I’d rather pay top dollar or drive a farther distance to somewhere else that treats you like a decent human being. Doesn’t take much to greet and treat people with decency.

I made an appointment for 9am online, put all the information about what was needed to be done, and when I arrived I was told that they dont have the right mechanic to do the work? Shouldnt you not make appointments and have people waste their time if you cant even have someone there to look at it? Why make get up early and make an appointment if you cant do anything. This was a complete waste of my time.

Do not rely on the website telling you the part you need is in stock and even letting you make an appointment to get it installed. I got there and it was not in their inventory and not available at any other location either. Two hours later they finally found and installed an alternative (my guess is they got it from a competing store), but at least they honored the price shown online.
Albert Capeles is very knowledgeable about all of the products and knows what to recommend. At the moment, they are understaffed and today he was one of the few people working. Very good employee and human being.
Came for wipers for my 2 vehicles and found a few different choices in the correct sizes I needed. This store is well stocked. There was a discount available online for the wipers I chose, the employee was happy to honor it in store. Will definitely shop this Pep Boys again, even though its not the nearest one for me.
Terrible service!!!!! The mechanics were rude and disrespectful! I simply needed someone to open my fuse box so I could put the fuse back in myself. I stood there in the rain trying to get someone attention, they all looked and me and turned around as if I wasn’t there. They were all sitting down and ignoring me. This was the worst display of customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life! I will never recommend anyone to this location, the service there was terrible and I am completely disgusted and dissatisfied... I will be reporting the this location and it’s mechanics to the better business bureau! I will never go there nor will I ever recommend anyone to that location. They don’t even deserve the one star given to them.

Usually good customer service, with knowledgeable staff. The prices could be better in the service area, but they are more than competent and friendly, which ranks high on my list. Easy to find location, despite the current road work on 441, and another plus is they never lie about your battery status ... if youve got one you think is going bad, have them check it on their machine first and youll get a printout with their recommendation.
Waiting over two hours now to get an oil change. Was told 20 mins ago that my car is 2nd in the wait list. Still waiting...
