All i can say is WOW! my little boy loves seeing the slomins truck make deliveries at our house and our neighbors, he gets so excited. I sent slomins a video of him excited about the truck at a neighbors house, without even knowing if i was a customer or not (because that didn’t matter to them at the time) they quickly send him his very own truck to play with with a hand written note. Needless to say there isn’t many companies that would do that just to bring a smile to a little boys face. That speaks volumes. We also use them for our deliveries and the service is always great. Customer service is exceptional

BEWARE OF SLOMIN.On June 11th Slomin came to my door to convince me into getting the “best rate” for my oil delivery. I signed up then spoke to my fiance about it and he said absolutely not don’t sign it.. well, it was too late. The guy who I signed up with on my front doorstep reassured me that there was no “contract” and if I wanted to cancel I had up to two weeks to do so. I called THAT night and spoke with a woman to cancel. I then called the next day to ASSURE that it was cancelled, I spoke with an Adam and he said that there was a note in my file about cancelling and it should be a few days. Two weeks later I am letting my dogs out and see a shadow of someone on my side yard .. i heard a truck .. walked around front and sure enough, Slomin was filling up my oil .. i told the guy to stop, i cancelled my “contract”. I understand he was the delivery guy .. he had nothing to do with it. He told me to call Slomin. It has since been 8 phone calls ... 5 different people spoken to .. to get them to re-adjust my bill that I should have never have even paid for in the first place. I paid $1.31 3 weeks prior for my last oil delivery and this was $1.89. So much for an ”amazing deal”. It even took a final phone call to receive my cancellation confirmation which should have came 3 days prior. I work in the customer service business and I take pride in providing the best customer service. This was NOTHING BUT a headache for me .. day after day having to call them back to make sure my contract was cancelled. I have never been so disappointed in a company. This has been going on since June 11th. My contract was FINALLY CONFIRMED CANCELLED VIA EMAIL July 4th .. Today is July 13th and guess what I got in the mail.. a bill from Slomin on JULY 9th for $499.00... uhmm? For what? My contract was supposed to be cancelled June 11th the day I signed and the day I called to cancel.I never waste my time writing bad reviews. But I do not want someone to have the headache of my experience. Slomin, work on your ethics.

Just spoke with a representative on the phone and am disgusted with the service. I called to set up an appointment to have it serviced. We experienced the same situation last year and its happened again. I explained that even though the thermostat is set to 70 degrees and the light on the boiler is on meaning its getting the signal from the thermostat its not turning on. Pushing the reset button doesnt turn it on either so it needs to be serviced.I was calling from work to set up an appointment. Allison the representative said since I wasnt home and couldnt go through the troubleshooting process she couldnt send a technician. She asked if my 80 year old mother could go through the process. What! Im going to have my 80 year old mother rooting around the boiler to try and get it started! She told me that if she sends the technician without us doing the troubleshoot process and he turns it on by pressing the reset button they will charge us for the visit. Again, I told her I already pushed the reset button numerous times and its not turning on. She told me with an attitude that shell send a technician but doesnt know what time. I also asked her how much longer I have on my contract so I can switch companies... unfortunately I have 7 more months.

Horrible experience with customer service this week. Our household has been a customer for over 20 years. This week we have made several calls because our oil tank is low and our burner is constantly running. The soonest they can get here to service the burner is a week and a half. They dont care that the temperature is rising in the house, that the burner motor is going to burn out, that the tank is going to be drained and air will get in the lines. Then when all of that goes wrong and it is more if a mess to fix we have been told they can come on an emergency basis. Oh and the customer service people have been rude. When we said maybe it was time for a new company they said ok. So I guess they dont care if their customers leave.

Customer service is always very friendly and accomidating..oil deliveries are fine and the driver always puts the cap back securely as I found other companies sometimes dont. The service technicians are always good,neat, orderly and knowledgeable. Charlie is a very good technician, he was patient and knowledgeable to find and fix my boiler problem. Thanks.

This company is a joke!!! Worst customer service ever! I called them to let them know my furnace was running all the time and needed someone to come out and look at it ASAP Being it is using all our oil and could overheat and cause a fire. They proceeded to tell me that furnace overheating and running out of oil is not an Emergency and cant send anybody out till a week later!! The lady who answered the phone was very rude as well! So then I said I needed an Emergency Oil delivery so I wont run out until their technician gets here and they cant even do that! So I said well what happens if I run out of oil and my furnace breaks? They said we will send a technician then to fix it!! Ridiculous! Then when I said im thinking of taking my business elsewhere they said ok like they dont even appreciate me as a customer! I guess its TRUE what they say about big companies they dont value your business when a small company appreciates you. STAY AWAY!!!

Absolutely Horrible. The worst oil company ever to deal with. Seems like they go out of there way to make sure that your not home when they deliver oil. Im playing Russian roulette oil delivery with them. Seems to always be a miss or they just rudely do not show up then no courtesy phone call for days after. No weekend delivery or specific day delivery or no time window for even around when they might show up. SLOMINS DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THERE CUSTOMERS ONE BIT.I SHOULD OF STAYED WITH WHO I HAD BEFORE. EXTREMELY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE ON THE PHONE . They dont want to hear what you have to say because all they want is your money. Thats all that matters. Dont walk away from Slomins.... RUN VERY VERY FAST...

I would give negative stars if possible. I have never experienced a company as frustrating and with such little regard for their customers time and money.Its like pulling teeth to get any service at all unless you are actively in a no heat situation. Then, you wait all day and me they dont show! They are also late with scheduled deliveries and have no concern about running your burner out of oil. The worst!

Terrible oil company. Do not go here to save a few pennies as it will only cost you hundreds in ridiculous fees. They do not own up to their service contract, they only train their customer service in semantics & never provide what you or your family needs. Don’t just go somewhere else, go ANYWHERE else.

I was treated horribly by this company. I was on the phone with them using my cell phone, as they required me to put of my phone to reset the alarm system.Some other department called me on my home phone which as per their instructions did not pick up.They reported to the police department that there is a problem with the safety of my house. I was still on the cell phone with them.The police dept. fined me for their stupidity. I immediately cancelled the account with them with a wow never ever return .Be careful .

Do not trust the salesperson, they will tell you that they will servicer boiler within 24 hours. However when they were unable to do so in the heart Winter, they canceled appointment -stating that we request a cancellation. 48 hours later, I called to figure out what was going on. After speaking To several people and being on hold for over half an hour, they said they will try to send someone without providing a time.They had no issue charging is $500 for the well they delivered, without informing us of the delivery.PLEASE AVOID Using This company for heating and service in your poorly, or else hell be stuck in the COLD.

DO NOT USE SLOMINS FOR HEATING OIL DELIVERY.Fraudulently charged me $819 for an oil delivery that never took place, and it took me 3 weeks and a dozen phone calls to get the situation sorted out. They refuse to let me present for the deliveries to make sure Im being charged accurately, and wont let me break contract even after this screw up without paying them $500.

If I could give negative stars I would. In July I had a guy show up from Slomins going door to door advertising their price lock. He explaned to me that IF I choose to use them for my oil I would get the guaranteed price (I had previously explained that we were currently getting our oil from another company) . He also told me that IF I choose not to get oil from them I would not be charged. My dumb self agreed. (This was in July 2017 its now October 2017). This morning I woke up to a delivery (that I did not order) I called the company to find out what was going on only to be told that the door to door guy enrolled me in a contract for 1 YEAR, this morning alone cost me 400$!! The supervisor I just spoke to informed me that I has been misinformed about this contract. That the deliverys ARE AUTOMATIC (no way to change that) and in order to terminate my contract it would cost me 499$+ tax and delivery charges!!! So Im stuck with this and VERY UNHAPPY! I feel like I was scammed for money I really dont have. On the plus side as the supervisor explained Im getting my oil cheaper than others even if they are doubling what I would nornally order😠 oh and I only have to pay 250$a month until the bill clears😨😡😠. UNHAPPY IS THE UNDERSTATEMENT OF THE YEAR!!

Horrible customer service, if it was possible to give negative stars I would. I had a scheduled service appointment for today because my heat was not working and was given a window of between 2-6pm, my wife left work early to accommodate the window. When 6:15pm hit I called the customer service line to find out what happened, I was told in a very rude tone by a customer service rep named Megan that they do not make appointments they are a 24 hour service.... When I questioned why I was given a window if they do not make appointments she stated I dont know what else to tell you. After being transferred to the supervisor named Brenden, he explained that Megan miss informed me they do make appointments but they were inundated with calls and the technician wouldnt be at my home for another 1-3 hours.... That turns my 2-6pm window into a 2-9pm window. Unfortunately I am not able to wait an additional 1-3 hours so I will have to go without heat until I can sit all day and wait for Slomins, not the same service experience I have had in the past with other companies. Slomins is the WORST.Perhaps this all could have been avoided if I was given a courtesy call stating they were not going to be able to be here between 2-6pm. Maybe had Megan explained the issue that they were inundated with calls rather than getting an attitude I would not be publicly posting this very negative review and would be a much more happy camper.

Never do what they say. Had them for 12 years and lats 2 they have been awful. and Customer service is the worst ever. They did not show up for over a 2 weeks, we ran out of oil. My family was freezing so I was going to get 50 gallons from someone else to hold us over until they could come out and they threatened to take us to court if we got fuel anywhere else laughing and saying that was our contract. Very unprofessional. Go Anywhere Else. Dropped them for fuel and alarm

Slomins customer service are unprofessional and dishonest. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!They told me my contract allowed me to have service to my boiler at anytime. Come to find out the Slomins sales associate was completely dishonest with me about my agreement with them . They basically denied the whole thing all together when I called them for service to my boiler. Furthermore, they made me feel as if it was my fault to trust them in the first place before I signed the contract. I understand it was probably a little irresponsible of me not to read before signing but the fact still remains. They lied to me straight to my face before I gave them my signature. And on top of that they treated me like an idiot over the phone. I hope no one else out there makes the same mistake I made with these crooks called Slomins.

Deceitful business practices. Salesmen sold me a heating and air-conditioning system and promised it would be installed within ten days and took a deposit of $6500. 5 days later I called to see when the installation would start and was told, an Inspector needed to survey my home before they could start. When I said I would cancel the sale if it wasnt installed by the deadline I requested - they said an inspector would come the next day and he did. on the 7th day I called to see when they were starting, they said they were waiting for permits from my town. I called the town building inspector and was told the there were no permits necessary since it was a removal and replacement. When I called Slomins back, the rep said her permit department insisted they needed permits. I asked the town building department to email Slomins and cc me a letter stating no permits were need and he did. Slomins said that work actually started on-time because the inspector showed up in the ten day period, even though it would take longer to install because of the permit confusion. I told them to cancel the sale and credit my deposit back to my American Express card. The rep said they would do so that day. One week later there was no credit on my Amex card so I called Slomins - they said it usually takes 3-5 days to appear on the card but she would check and call back. I didnt hear from them for another 3 days so I called and was told the credit was submitted the day I cancelled. When I asked to whom was the credit submitted the rep said, to their accounting department (not AMEX).The short story is- they didnt authorize the the credit for 2 weeks after I cancelled the sale.The salesman oversold, they couldnt perform, and a refund took longer to get than the time they promised to do the installation. I had used Slomins for decades and they used to be a wonderful company. That company seems to have lost its focus on customer service and turned its attention to profit only. I was able to get both my A/C and oil burner installed on schedule by Sunray Systemsin 3 days with better equipment and for $1600 less!
