Whats there not to love? The sheer amount of decor ideas you can get just by walking through the store are invaluable. Not all products or styles will be for everyone but thats the beauty of it. Theres something for all budgets and preferences. Picking up items can be difficult if visiting if you go by yourself so bring a truck and company. Ive found so many cool items and am always excited to see more

Love how everything is displayed and gives you various options on how to style or use items/furniture. They might not have a wide variety of things for fall but just the subtle decor for fall is very pleasing to me. I loved how they set out this simple fall decor dinner table. And check out that cute matching high chair for the kiddos!! I found it absolutely adorable, you cant really find that at just any furniture store.

Some of the small items seem to be out of stock so make sure to check the availability on line before heading to the store If the intention is to walk in shopping. Otherwise the staff can assist with the information.

This review is based solely on my experience and personal opinion.I am an IKEAs regular customer and I was waiting for all the COVID pandemic restrictions to be lifted to go ahead and write a fair review about this store. I went to IKEA Saturday the 11th of Sep. 2021.Here you can find an extremely wide range of products that IKEA designs and sells ready-to-assemble. The product list includes furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories, among other goods and home services.I love this specific IKEA, which is different from others, because they offer a pretty big selection of live and faux plants, because of the big restaurant upstairs and because of the CLEARANCE section where you can really find GREAT DEALS if you can carry it with you and if you do not need a box (and in some cases, if you do not mind some minor scratches and worn signs).The Houston IKEA it is a two story building and this store follows the layout of having the showroom upstairs with the marketplace and self-service warehouse downstairs.FIRST FLOOR: on the first floor you can find the Showroom (with many preassembled furniture, kitchens, sleeping rooms, kids room, living rooms and so on that you can walk thru and take notes of what you like). The Showroom is basically the section where the desired goods and services are displayed. Now, While you walk thru the Showroom youll come across many IKEA employees that can help you with your search or with directions and you will find at least two areas where there are IKEA computers that help you design your space using IKEA furniture and Decor and many expert IKEA employees you help you understand and figure out what is that you need and what is that you need to buy. On the same floor you can find the big restaurant with alot of good food and many seats and tables, and a small food market.SECOND FLOOR: on the second floor is where the customer collects a shopping cart and proceeds to an open-shelf Market Hall warehouse for smaller items like décor, kitchenware, rags, carpets, curtains, pillows, light bulbs, lamps, plants and MANY other small items. on the same floor youll find visits the self-service furniture warehouse to collect previously noted showroom products in flat pack form. on the same flor you will find the CLEARANCE section (that I personally love). on the same floor you have all the cash registers and the self checkout, you have a big food market, you have a To-Go restaurant where you can buy ice-cream, frozen yogurt, hot dogs and hot cinnamon buns among others.... and much more.on this floor you will also find the return desk, the shipping desk and the customer service desk.Visiting and shopping at this store is very easy and intuitive if you look at the layout maps that are all over the place.CLEANLINESS: The overall cleanliness of the place is very good and usually the go above and beyond by cleaning the resting areas over and over again. You can always spot a staff member returning items to their original location, moved by customers, or other staff members taking care of displays that have been altered by careless customers. You will hardly ever find products or items on the floor or messy areas. and I personally love this about IKEA.RESTROOMS: restroom 90% of the times are spotless. super clean and with a very good fragrance. Even in super busy days you will always find hand soap, toilet paper and paper towels.STAFF: 95% of the staff are friendly, nice, competent, and knowledgeable about their products. They have their share of rotten apples (at least three that I can recall), but they do not spoil the all bunch. So far Ive always been treated as a valuable customer and always been given great customer service.PRICES: prices have slightly gone up compared to two years ago, but so in the rest of the stores that sell the same products. I still find a high quality/price ratio at IKEA. The price is proportioned to the quality of the product you buy, easier to understand.CONCLUSION: I have a great experience every time I go.

This place is kinda fun. It take a couple hours to get through if youre looking at all the rooms. I usually go in with a few random things I need and come out with 20 other items. They accel in storage and efficient use of space. Most of the furniture is compact. If you need to get a small to medium apartment set up this is the place to go especially if you only have a few hundred to throw at each room. The restaurant in there is pretty good. If your are doing serious shopping taking a soda break to work out details is helpful.

Pickup experience is horrible! Be prepared to wait while they reset the waiting clock claiming to ‘verify’ order.

Great selections and pricing, customer service has always been an opportunity even before Covid times. Getting someone to help is not always easy and staff seems to be overworked. The person who needs to help is usually on a break or can’t be found. If you’re independent and don’t mind dealing with a little chaos might be ok.

Bought a dining room table online. Waited a half hour to get it. Granted, thats not a big deal, just dont assume curbside pickup will be quick.

I assume every IKEA is like all the others. We go to the one in Houston nowadays. Of course, here it is the fall of 2021 and supply chain problems severely limited their stock of the items that we want. Nevertheless, we are able to dine on a plate of meatballs or salmon In the cafeteria.

At October 2021 up to 40% of products are out stock, thats understandable due Covid but the store need to mark those products to let people know. Its really frustrating to goin through the whole store just to find at the end that wat you want its not available. I love Ikea, they have nice products and prices but they need to improve on how to handle inventory during this contingency

We loved the San Antonio location, so I decided to pick up 4 organizations units from the Houston store that is closer to home . I did a curbside order .When it was my time I texted them and it said to come inside to get your order. I wasnt sure how I was going to manage to go inside to get my order with two toddlers alone . I called and was put on hold for 30 mins . A lady from the call center was so nice, she tried to figure out why they werent coming out. She was put on hold for 10 mins and she finally hung up. She was very apologetic and was not sure why it was happening . The other two customers waiting for curbside were confused as well. I finally went in with my children and they said that they only had two people working . I asked them how was I supposed to push it out with two toddlers and they said they we will .... Like what ?? Why did I have to drag my kids in for you to take it to my car . They didnt seem to understand my frustration. They both had poor customer service skills and seemed very bothered by me.I do love my products, I just wish I had an easier experience picking it up .

One thing I would advise if you’re having issues with out of stock items online like I have been for the past month, check with the store. Came to find out after inquiring several times that if they have less than 6 items in stock at the store, then online it will show out of stock. Also, if only one item is less than 6 then it also shows out of stock on things like a couch where there are many parts. I went in today and was able to get those items. Staff was friendly and helpful and answered any questions I had. Things I had been waiting to get over a month were there and it was easy to do a pick up. Also, you can’t go to ikea without getting some meatballs!

Hubby and I bought a closet system. The sales person was extremely friendly and helpful. The experience was good. I didnt give 5 stars because certain prices to the system werent in stock. In the next 3 wks, theyre only expecting a limited supply. So we have to run to get these items as soon as they arrive. Hopefully, no one else is waiting for the same thing. 😔

Pleasant experience, even when Im in a rush and going against the flow of the showroom there is always someone to get you through shortcuts. The quality of service from workers, sharpness and products are just amazing. Highly recommended

Ikea has always been a reliable go to place when I needed furniture fast and affordable. The sofa selection was slim and most items were out of stock. Had to find something elsewhere.

Not too many people inside today as expected due to this pandemic. Everyone had masks on as they should have. Didnt see too many sanitation stations around. Went in to get a desk which was out of stock when we got to the store. Searched for table legs which were out of stock too upon checking the computer and then the aisles. Everything else seemed to be stocked fully. I like ikea. Just have to know what youre looking for and if its in stock ahead of time. Its a huge store and a bit of travel is involved coming here.

Great store. Clean, functional. Lines were long at the checkout but the cashiers were extremely efficient. We waited in line for maybe 5 minutes to make our purchase.

Welcome to getting trapped In a store . The organization is happy hazard. Finding what you need is always very difficult you will find many good deals however so I still give a 3 star. They require you to take your cart By elevator And their primary elevator has been out of service for 4 days. Cafeteria is very bland no smiles even behind the mask and yes they still require mask the pictures Im including are of the view from the cafeteria which was relaxing and yet for someone who acts as if they are so worried about social distancing you still get a glass glass for your soda drink go figure. I recommend if you want something order it online unless you just want to spend 2 hours walking around for fun. If you do want food after you check out for some reason its afterwards and not near the cafeteria they have a place where you can buy hotdogs for one door they were much much much better than a cafeteria food

Only come for the Swedish Meatballs, Gravy and Mashed Potatoes, Lingonberry Sauce, and Lingonberry drink. Could eat hundreds of those meatballs.

The sunsets here are always so stunning! Ikea’s environment is so friendly, and you can often hear people complimenting each other’s outfits and supporting one another. The layout of the store has many inspirational room decorations, and essential home goods. Although, don’t expect much from the food!

Despite being a massive labyrinth of commercial goods, this Swiss Enterprise has neatly organized it all into managable chunks. Well labeled and well stocked, this incredible store has more than you could shake 4 sticks at. I found a nice desk and more that I didnt know I even needed. Cheap furniture from good materials because they take out labor costs and pass them onto you in the form of hieroglyphic texts that heavily imply building the furniture you just bought will be as easy as J-peg in part C; And youd be a fool to believe them. 10/10 now recommended

I love to visit IKEA and my guests from out of state always look forward to a shopping trip. This is a great store everything was neat and the store is clean. They found most everything that they were looking for. I was a little disappointed, I couldnt find one of their great umbrellas, but I did find a beautiful pitcher. Everyone went home happy.

No need to go. Almost nothing in stock or over-sold. Just order on line & wait 4-6 weeks for delivery. I used to love going to IKEA. The Corona had it very un-worthwhile.Lots of show rooms were curtained off. The food courts were closed, too.Hubby didnt like going before. Today, he suggested it, and now he really doesnt like it. I was so displeased.

Ikea was packed!!!! The people just kept poring in. But I didnt see much shopping going on, just a whole lot of looking. I swear Ikea is like an amusement park. Dont get why it draws so many people just looking. I went there for on single thing....a tiny live plant for my bookcase LOL. Then I bought a fake one and two little pots for them. Spent all of $11. 😄

This IKEA home furnishing store is humongous. They sell excellent Scandinavian style furnishings, housewares and accessories, but the store layout is very confusing.There is a map of the store floor plan online. You will need it. Its easy to get turned around. I recommend they hand out a printed store map at the entrance.The store associates I encountered were friendly and helpful.

I love that this idea doesnt make you dizzy with bouncing floors and flickering lights. Its so nice to grab a drink or meal and then walk through, take little breaks to sit and test out a living room or deck. They actually have a great garden center for your home, real and fake.

Ok prices, good food in the food court, help to customer cero, you are at your mercy, exit it is a puzzle very danger in case of fire.

This is my favorite place to spend a few hours looking at everything imaginable for the household, from furniture, kitchen goods and one billion storage solutions. I also love their little cafe. Wish the checkout lines were a little shorter but I get it, this place is like a playground for adults. 100% fun times.

Fun place to come looking for furniture alot to look at and you can get a snack here too always a plus.

It was my first time going to IKEA, and I love that store Im sure I walked through the place for at least an hour or two and still didnt see all they have to offer. I only went to pickup my online order, next time I go Ill be sure to get there earlier in the morning so I can look at everything upstairs and downstairs as well.

Guys, we know what it is. You want your house to look nice on a budget but dont bother. Furniture is cheap, doesnt last long and if you have any issues good luck with getting it resolved in a timely fashion. Ive put up with them for years and Im done with it.Been on the phone for over an hour and a half when i asked to speak to a manager they put me on hold for 5 min just to come back and say someone is not available. I will no longer do business with Ikea based off of this horrible experience.

After shopping for some great items, I was lost when it came time to pick up the items from their large warehouse section. I was helped by 2 gentlemen who took the time to help me get all my items. These 2 workers were courteous, professional and overall OUTSTANDING.

Came here a few times within the last 8 months or so. It’s less relevant now but I really wish they enforced masks better. And it would be nice if their stock was updated more frequently - last time I was there and asking where to find furniture items in the warehouse I was told to go to a certain aisle and then found the item wasn’t there at all. Why couldn’t the customer service person have just told me it wasn’t in stock and saved me some time? I do love IKEA and think it’s great for inexpensive yet durable home goods, but I just wish this store had their stuff together a little bit more.

Its Ikea. Certainly not heirloom quality but thats not why you come here. You come here for clean lines, reasonable prices, and no frills basics. And dorm room furniture lol. But its always a decent way to spend some time looking though some of the quirky and fun stuff in plenty of air conditioning.

This place was crowded today, I never seen any IKEA this busy, I do not know what is going on at this IKEA today, but the parking lot is full of cars, and it’s took me sometimes to get a parking spot. I got what I was looking for to purchase, I am happy for the trip to IKEA today. I saw many wonderful display in the store, 5 stars for IKEA.

IKEA is a wonderful place to look at furniture that doesnt exist. Once you leave the showroom the experience completely falls apart.Normal furniture stores have what they show in stock. Online furniture stores allow you to select products and have them shipped reliably to your home. IKEA finds it difficult to do either.If you find something you like at the store then its probably out of stock. You then go online, add the item to your cart, and then play this bizarre game to figure out where in the state youll be driving to pick up the item. If you choose to have it delivered to your home then be prepared for IKEA to over order and cancel your delivery weeks later. This is what happened to me. Thanks IKEA!

This is a good IKEA, as far as Ikeas go. Doesn’t serve beer or wine like it’s Canadian counterparts but is generally clean, well stocked and up to date.

Are you kidding? Its IKEA... of course, its amazing. I dont have an IKEA close to home so any chance to visit ends with a large bag of stuff to bring home. Its an all day event. You will unwittingly realize there is so much you need but at the same time, become overwhelmed and forget it all entirely. Always bring a list.Dont skip the meatballs in the Cafe... yum.

This store is perfect. Prices are reasonable, products are practical, efficient, great quality and really nice. Unlike conventional home furnishings, I can mix and match. The best part, is if something is damaged at home, instead of replacing the entire thing, I can just replace that specific piece. After all, most of their stuff is put together like a puzzle and not sold in bulk like conventional furniture and most places.

Very disappointed. Travelled to the branch in Houston to purchase two cabinets for my business. No stock available. Lots of products were marked as unavailable. Check before going there. I will have to travel to Dallas now. I hope I will get them there. I will check stock levels first.

I went last year during covid and this place was spot on. Came back and they still have precautions. You need to use a new glove which they have ready for you to touch the tongs so you dont have to grab the extra stuff yourself. They are so sweet and the food is amazing. 10/10 will always go when in Houston. And to top it off. It was my boyfriends birthday. Turns out you get a free meal on your bday. C: Just gotta show that ID.

Pay attention to the price.... Ikea had a sale on cookware and it was advertised outside. To get the sell you have to pay full price then go get your $10 refund at customer service and show them the picture of their advertisement outside 🙄🙄

Masks enforced. Awesome furniture for super cheap. Got a TV stand for less than one of those Xbox games you see over there to the left. Plenty of dark wood furniture, white, and black. As for the desk(s) on the 3rd picture, they were 30 dollars each I believe.

Typical Ikea. You can customize your spaces with very functional elegant finished to perfection designs. Everything fits seamlessly into one another. Highly scalable furniture, you can design a 10ftx 8ft wall with cabinets, storage, organisers, dress chests, mix things up as you like it and everything fits. They have a custom computer tool to build your required design and voila it throws a buy list of items and directs you to collect it or even pay a small fee to organize it all for you.All in all a good fit and heck you can budget. Great place to find easy to DIY furniture.
