I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else! Not only do they take care of your car, but the people there are always so kind and friendly. I really don’t know much about cars at all, and they helped me understand what was going on with my car in a language I could understand.

Very courteous staff and manager. Walked in for vehicle inspection and out in 30mins for $25 even though there were a lot of cars being worked on. From managers conversations with other customers prices seem very reasonable for repairs. Also had tires replaced - they were honest in not able to price match and suggested having tires shipped to them. Did a great job.

They disconnected my hose for my windshield fluid and told me I need new windshield wipers.I tested my windshield fluid before I got there and it was working perfectly fine now suddenly it stopped working. And why would I need new wipers if just the hose is disconnected plus I just bought new wipers 2 months ago. Maybe because they sell wipers there and they think I’m stupid. Money hungry!

I went in for a state inspection. I was in and out in about 15-20 minutes. Staff was helpful and courteous. I will definitely come back.

👎🏼👎🏼 so I asked them to do a complete inspection on my car before I hit the road from Texas to Massachusetts. I made it to Mississippi before my starter had to be replaced. Instead of fixing it before I hit the road they offered to sale me an insurance plan in case I broke down or had any car issues in the future.... sounds like they knew what was coming. On top of that my left fog light was never replaced after I asked them to do so. Smh I guess they call Houston hustle Town for a reason...

They tried to charge me $990 for a $450 job! They originally told me $875 (see attached), then it magically jumped up to $990. I told them I wanted my car towed to a different location because it was too expensive just to fixed ONE set of damaged brakes. They threatened to charge me $35 everyday that my car was on the property. (See attached). They seem very nice. Theyre just trying to mask the fact that theyre trying to over charge you. Dont be fooled by their niceness.

I absolutely love this auto shop. We first brought our cars simply because this was the closest auto shop to our house, but we have since moved and never once considered switching. Everyone here is knowledgeable and kind, and they seem to enjoy what they do, which always means that the work is done with great pride.

Really sweet people. I had to get my signal light replaced. It sounds much more trivial than it is if you dont want to break something and dont have the tools. A chepa, quick, fix and no more traffic ticket fears.

I came in for an oil change on a recommendation. Service was excellent and everybody I interacted with was very friendly and laid back. I saw other reviews mention the standard autoshop scams: come in for an oil change, get told you need 17 other services that you actually dont. I can only speak for my own experience, but that definitely did not happen to me, and from what I saw of the staff I would be extremely surprised if they did that to other people. Highly recommended.

Good customer service, bad alignment/mechanic service. When requested copies of the alignment report 1) they had to send me phone pictures of the computer monitor because the printer was broken 2) they were showing me from their phone the alignment results of another car and 3) the front wheels alignment was not within threshold and told me an explanation that I did not buy and 4) I never got a picture of the back tires because the mechanic forgot to take one.

Mark and his team have always taken great care of me and all my vehicle needs. I always feel that Im getting an honest recommendation on any services and the job is done right, the first time. I trust this business and the people that work there.

I went in to Montrose car care for a routine oil change and everything was fine...but they wanted to do a brake service on my vehicle because the brake tread was worn down to almost nothing according to them. I didn’t have time at the moment and ended up going to a different place to get that work done. The other place did an inspection of my brakes and let me know that the treads were completely fine and I had over 50% of the tread left.Either a) the people at Montrose car care don’t know how to measure a brake padOr b) they were trying to take advantage of me and lure me into spending money on a service that was clearly not neededI believe the latter of the 2 to be most likely and to me this is one of the most corrupt things you could do to a PAYING customer. Will never spend money at this establishment again

I have been taking my cars to them for 17 years, even before Sam bought this place from the previous owner. I do the oil change but I had them do major repairs to other cars and Sam and crew are very reliable and do good work. I live in the Tanglewood area but I go all the way to Montrose to have my current car serviced. Not once have I had a problem with them. Great customer service, great prices, excellent work.

I’ve been coming here for years and they are always consistently nice, fast and their prices are fair. They’re a great go to in a huge city full of dealers and shops always trying to upsell and overcharge.

I took my vehicle here after Joe Meyers Kia, with whom I was supposed to have a positive working relationship and bumper to bumper warranty, told me my warranty was voided because of sludge in my engine and that my engine needed to be replaced entirely.The dealership also told me an engine flush would not help my situation. When I took it to Montrose Car Care, they were very kind and respectful. Turned out my turbo needed to be replaced and an engine flush solved the problem! Rather than spending close to $10,000 at the dealership, I was able to save $8,000 and I was even given a free loanée in the time that it took to make the repairs.

Apparently state inspections come with attachments, must buy something useless for them to clear your car. This wouldve been a convenient place to go for my car needs since I live in montrose but Id rather drive to sugarland than deal with this poor customer service.

I should have red all reviews before I walked in this car shop. I have to agree with most adverse comments here. I can see –as I experienced myself- a double standard on business practice. Since I ran into a similar situation before I made sure I asked technician if there would be any charge to check my vehicle to which he replied that they would not charge me or start working on anything without my consent first, and since I’m fluent in five different languages I repeated my question in both, English and Spanish. As well as the other odd comments below, they came up with a list of issues rising the estimate pretty high, thus I decided to wait a bit before compromising on any repairs. For my surprise they tried to charge me for one hour work and miscellaneous… I felt completely uncomfortable and deceived by these people; however, I refused to pay and held them on wrongdoing lines. The owner was there and attributed the event to his manager lack of appropriate action. After I took off, the owner called several times in an attempt to imply that I was lying since he spoke to his technician who claimed never said anything to me. Exactly, “Mr. Righteous Owner” he failed to say first the truth and pursue malice in silence playing the odds to get away with it. You should display a clear sign that you charge to diagnose, it’s NOT a given. You told me that even doctors charge for their time, indeed, BUT let me tell you that doctors display ahead of visit what are their fees or what is your co-pay! It’s not a given Mr. Owner, lots of businesses don’t charge for “diagnosis” when you sit in any insurance office they might be an hour explaining options and plans and they don’t charge for it even if you decide not to purchase a policy. Retails may take long moments explaining to you why would be convenient for you to go with a merchandise regardless if you buy it or not, even a bank teller would spend time offering goods and services at no charge. Teachers won’t charge potential clients or students to introduce learning programs. Finally, it was highly inappropriate and a lack of class to contact me as a customer in that attempt to make me feel guilty for your failure to keep a potential client, your technician can lie to your face. Instead, take responsibility for the misleading hidden lines practice in your business, you should be clear and honest ahead of time, nothing is “understood” put facts in writing.

BEWARE!!! These guys are crooks. I dont write reviews but I had to on these worthless mechanics. Took my truck in for an oil change and suspension work done. Within a mile of leaving there I was stalling and the check engine light came on. Seeing how this NEVER happened before I figured it was an easy fix and they must have just knocked something loose. WRONG AGAIN. They had the nerve to tell me it was messed up when I brought it in and that it was my fault. What a joke. And I had to pay to fix what they broke in the first place. Losers. Stay away.

This establishment deleted my previous review, so I feel it is my responsibility to re-convey this businesses shady practices.I took my car in to get an oil change (no complaints there), and after the oil change, they came back with a laundry list of items on my vehicle I should address:-New engine air filters-Replace front brake pads-Replaces Rear break pads-Several other little tasks like recharging my ACThe associate repeatedly told me, I have only a little sliver left on my brake pads and should have them replaced in the next several weeks.I went to the Infiniti dealership next for a comparison quote. After they inspected my car, they reported the engine air filter was in near new condition, and the front & rear brake pads had 80% thickness remaining.This is a shady business that will openly lie to you in order to sell addition services. Please seek another auto shop.

I dont like this place. The first time I went there, they didnt even find out what was wrong with my car. I had to pay 80 bucks just for them to check it out - found nothing. Of course I knew there was something wrong with it. Went to dealership and they found it ( shocks ). Another time I came in and got turned away cause they were busy. You dont turn customers away! I also called them once and he said they were busy call back Monday. They are also not cheap. You might as well go to the dealership. Sometimes they even cost more. I also never received any follow up call. I would recommend going to the dealership...Way to overpriced!

I took my truck here recently because my drivers side window regulator had broken, so my window was stuck half way up. I called on Saturday to see if they would be able to fix it, he said they couldnt get to it that day, but if I wanted to bring it by he could at least get the window up for me to get me through the weekend. That instantly made me like this place, even though I decided to just drop my truck off that day so they could get to it on Monday morning. They called me before lunch on Monday and told me that the motor and regulator were one assembly (which I already knew), so they would have to replace both. The price he gave me was right in line with what I expected this repair to cost, so I know he didnt overcharge me. I picked up my truck on Monday and the window works great and they gave me a 12 month, 12K mile warranty. I was very impressed with the service here and I will definitely be bringing my vehicles back here for any problems I cant fix or dont have time to fix. I would highly recommend Montrose Car Care.

I also dont write reviews but the manager Sam hung up on me 4 times for trying to call him out on being a crook and taking advantage of people. I would give this place a negative if I could. I took my car in and they charge me 100 for a diagnostic they didnt do anything to the car and they didnt tell me that the diagnostic was 100 dollars before they proceeded to do it. They were going to charge me over 300 dollars for a battery change. 200 dollars for the battery thats 150 at auto zone and I guess almost 200 for labor. They are ridiculous then I took it to my dealership because they recommended I get my gasket changed and the dealership said their was nothing wrong with it. So in turn costing me another 128 dollars because my dealership had to run a diagnostic on my car as well! Avoid going there find better honest mechanics or do it yourself if possible.

Shady shady business!!I took my car in and the guy at the front counter comes up and asks me if I need to be somewhere... i notice the mechanics dont want to work on my car if Im there in the waiting room...( weird right) I abide and go to a local coffee house to wait there instead.So needless to say everything started out a little off.I drove in from san antonio because this is the place Ive always gone to because they do good work and Ive always trusted them.My experience:I had a bad headlight. I took it in and paid 300.$ Fine, I have xenon lights they can be pricey. On my way back to s.a. the light goes out. I realize it wont be for another 3 months before i can bring it in..I finally do and they say its going to cost 194$ just to open it up and review the headlight again... I think.. wow thats steep. It cost 94$ the first go around.. They didnt Honor the warranty even after I brought it up.So I pay it thinking.. whatever.. I need to get on with my life...The total amount I end up paying for my headlight is.. are you ready?$ 859.00+ 300.00 ( from previous visit)-------------------------$1159.00 = 1 HeadlightPhew~!wow.. ok so i think...( trying to stay optomistic) I can get on with my life and go back to my busy schedule. On my way back to San Antonio from the Car Care my other light goes out!!! It was working beautifully when i brought it in.!SO Im back with the same problem, time wasted, Broke and agitated that I came back EXACTLY the same with 1159.00 out of pocket feeling swindled.What the hell did you do to my car!?!Needless to stay Im very upset and dissapointed with this one loved business...
