Absolutely amazing service! They give back your car with plastic wrapping around thestearing wheel, gear shifter and a piece of paper on the floor to protect the floor mat. Even if the plastic doesnt do anything its the small things like this that make a difference.I went in to get a diagnosis on my AC and get quoted what it would cost to fix. The mechanic ended up fixing it without it being approved and thus they decided not to charge me. They still went out of their way to explain to me what the problem was and what they did to fix it. Their customer service is absolutely amazing and I have not had any problems with my AC since.Dont second guess it, bring your car here and feel confident that the price will be completely reasonable to the job done and that it will be done to perfection!

Did a good job for an even better price, the quote they gave us was waaaaaay better than a competitors (we’re talking multiple hundreds of dollars better). Unfortunately, they broke something else while repairing my vehicle (rear left window switch, no biggie) but they repaired that too so it was all good. Would’ve been perfect other than that, which was most likely a once-off accident that I wouldn’t consider reflective of their general performance. All in all, great work! Looks good as new.

It was my first time coming to Uptown Automotive and I have to say it was a good experience. I had a minor/moderate scratches on my car that took out the paint to the bare plastic on my bumper. The shop was able to paint it like nothing happened. They even took the time to wash my exterior and interior! It took a little over 3 days but was worth the wait. I came in for a diagnostic on a rattling noise that turned out to be coming from my engine. But when I got my car back after the diagnosis my A/c has not worked the same, it blows out warm air. I thought it may needed coolant so I purchased some and filled it to the max line and it still blows out hot air. I have no idea what happened but my car was blowing snowballs before I got that diagnosis and now my a/c is not blowing cold air. I literally was using my A/c on the way to the shop getting the diagnosis. I find that very suspicious and unacceptable.

I had protective shields on my hood and front fenders of my Mercedes S550 that I had to have removed. In the process of removing them, some of the protective tri-coat came off with the protective shield. When I took my car to Uptown Automotive, I was greeted by Gilbert, and he was very welcoming and professional. He looked at my car, gave me a quote and date that the car would be ready. I sent a request for estimate via yelp for front catalytic converter and O2 sensor. Uptown Auto returns estimate amount same day. I get a call the day before Im to bring the vehicle for the service. The tech says that the part for service is not in stock with their supplier and so, the price would be about $600.00 more than the estimate. So, why dont they shop suppliers a bit more? Does Rock Auto supplies have the converter for a lesser price than Uptowns current supplier? How about finding an after market converter? Giving an estimate at one amount and then tacking on another $600.00 the day before the service doesnt look good.

Uptown Automotive saved me a considerable amount of money and fixed the check engine light and headlight problems right. Before, I was taking my 2004 e46 330ci to BMW of Houston North until I run into a situation where my car would return with problems it did not have before. For example, the last time I took my car in, it was to replace rear shocks, front struts, and oil pan gasket. When I bought it back; it had the Check Engine light on and a faulty headlight.When I took my car back to BMW they told me I needed to change all four O2 sensors. I did not even ask them about the headlight because it was going to cost me a ridiculous amount of money already. Furthermore, they kept the car for about two weeks to give me their diagnosis. This was during February 2021. I researched the internet for a highly rated and reputable independent shop and encountered Uptown Automotive. I took it in and spoke with Marcus, my current service representative. I explained the situation. He was and is very courteous, knowledgeable and professional. He made me feel at ease. I left my car and later that same day he sent me pictures and computer print outs of the diagnosis and estimate. The problem was a broken mass air flow sensor and broken wires for the headlight. The O2 sensors were ok, which made sense since my car had 75 k miles at that time, used only Shell V-Power Nitro+ Premium, clean engine filters and on time preventative maintenance. He also recommended to do a headlight rebuild; he had a very skillful automotive electrician for that Marcus said. The estimate was very reasonable and considerably less than what Bmw wanted to charge me and for what turned out to be the right diagnosis of my car problems.Today is August 10, 2021, about six months since Uptown corrected my car problems. The check engine light has not turned on again and the headlight is working flawlessly. Since that initial service Uptown has done maintenance and preventive service for my e46, brake fluid bleeding, coolant flush, gas filter replacement, four wheel alignment. My car is running great, and I am happy because I have found that trusted mechanic shop all sensible car owners look for. Marcus told me at the beginning, “You will like us; you will be in good hands with us.” He was right. Thank you.William Freire

Great service! I got a loaner car for the duration of days needed to complete the job. I received the car as promised on the day they had originally committed to, and the job was done exceptionally!!! Very happy with the way my car looks.

DO NOT EVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE! I have filed complaints with the BBB, Attorney Generals office, and the Federal Trade Commission. They are money hungry and will make costly repairs without your knowledge or consent and force you to pay! I had problems with my ac when I just had gotten my ac repaired there a few months prior. So I called and explained the problem and was told I had a 2 year warranty. I waited in the lobby for over an hour. The tech came out and told me he had repaired the vaccum hose that was leaking and was charging me $130. I was shocked because at no point in time did anyone get my authorization to do any repairs. On the paper it said the shop would repo my car if I did not make the payment and they still had my keys. I voiced my complaint that I was told it was under warranty and if that wasnt the case I came prepared pay the $30 diagnostic fee. I was told by Marcus that we are in the business of making money and I took the initiative to make the repairs. I explained that I didnt authorize any repairs only a diagnostic and it was done without consent. To top that off my ac started making a loud crackling sound which was not there prior to the repairs. When I requested a full refund I received no reply. The receptionist is lazy and rude, and the customer service is a joke.

My husband and I give Uptown Automotive our highest recommendation. Being new to Texas, we were nervous about finding somewhere new to take our BMW, as not all shops will service them. As I researched different businesses, I read numerous positive reviews about Uptown Automotive on both Google and Yelp. We thought we were going to need a very costly repair, but Marcus figured out the issue was actually minor and was able to fix it very inexpensively. Our car has been running smoothly for the past few days since we picked it up - such a relief! This is a great example of the integrity of the company, as we had gone in expecting to spend a lot of money and had been up front with them about that. We interacted with both Marcus and Zameer and both gentlemen are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional!They also gave our car a complimentary wash and when my husband picked it up he said he didn’t even recognize it! Uptown is my favorite shop in Houston - I found them through excellent Yelp reviews and have told anyone who needs car work to head here first. Their office staff is incredibly friendly and helpful (thanks, Sarah!) and I love the software they use to share the results of their diagnostic with you - I took my car in for an oil change and over all look. I had some bizarre sounds coming from the right front of my car (brakes? who knows!) and within a few hours, received a text and email with photos and descriptions of what the service team had found. I was prompted with a price per item and an option to accept or decline the service. Once I accepted, Sarah gave me a call and gave me an update on when I could expect to have my car done. I received a text later with a notification that my car was ready (EARLY!) and could pay online. My car sounds amazing, the price was better than I expected, and they even put on my hubcap cover Id purchased for free. I never look forward to having my car need service, but I know that I wont stress about where to take it in the future.

My 2016 Panamera was hit by another driver on Oct. 10th, 2018. It was at Uptown Automotive 162 days waiting on a drivers side fender from Porsche. In fact, it would still be sitting their awaiting a fender if not for Zameer and his team. After several months of fruitless efforts with PCNA on my side and Zameer poking around, a new pair of OEM fenders was found. After the first 30 days he loaned us a car that turned into five months. This is so far above normal customer service, way better than anything Porsche has offered us. Along the way I grew a deep respect for Zameer and his way of doing business. The pictures show the car after the accent, the fenders he found and them installed after they corrected minor frame damage. I just cannot say enough good about the Uptown team. Thank you, Zameer, for being there for us.

After getting a major dent in my car for the first time ever I needed it fixed immediately. The staff at Uptown gave me the best quote and had the most sincere staff to answer all my questions. Love this place! The people working here are nice and very friendly. My 10+ year old car had just finished a long road trip and something was rattling, so I brought it in to get it checked out and asked them to inspect the rest of the vehicle just to be safe. I was a bit nervous when I asked for this last part since I didnt want a ton of unnecessary things done to my car -- a little while after I dropped my car off, they actually sent me photos to my phone of the parts they recommended repairing or replacing, which was something Ive never had before! Amazing customer service. They quoted a very reasonable price for repairs and their paint work is a step above others. Our car has a 3 stage paint with pearlescent flake and they were able to repair the areas and blend into the rest perfectly. In addition they did amazing prep work before paint, poor prep work results in orange peel and a visible texture where the area was repaired. They have done an amazing job getting repairs done. Will definitely use them if we ever need future body shop work.

Ive been thoroughly impressed with my experience at Uptown Automotive. After receiving several astronomical estimates from other body shops, I was pleased to get a very reasonable quote from Gilbert. I dropped my car off for repair of some scratches on my door Thursday morning and it was ready by Friday evening.Overall, their customer service left the biggest impression on me.
