Inspection. Friendly staff. And very quick. Great prices. They won’t try to swindle you.

3.5 hours to swap three tires and flush brake fluid. Called in the day prior to have the tires already shipped over there to avoid some wait but I guess nobody really cares. They also scammed me into buying a new wheel lock set from dealer because they stripped the threads on my wheel lock key from a prior visit a month ago when the swapped out my flat tire. So there little mistake there is 50 bucks for a new wheel lock set and 60 bucks to tear the old ones out. The people act nice, but thats it. Its just an act.

2 hours for an inspection and battery change with an appointment with a 9% markup on everything to cover shop expenses. Ended up paying $70 after the cost of a battery for them to take their time to swap it out. I guess their labor charges make sense if it takes that long to do a simple task. Next time I’ll call AAA that will come and do it for free without having to leave my house.

I normally go here for inspections, but after a bad experience with another mechanic shop I came here to get additional work done. Had quite a few repairs and replacements that needed to be done. They are always very kind, thorough, and informative. They have definitely earned a new customer, and I will refer them every chance I get!

Great customer service and attention to detail. I was told about this shop by word of mouth. My air conditioning went out and I called them up and Travis said yes sir bring it right on over. I brought the car over the same day and they offered me a ride back to work. Travis contacted me later to advise of the repairs needed and the cost. A1 service from beginning to end. Chimney rock without a doubt is the most professional, honest, and cordial mechanic I’ve ever been to. I very clearly knew each piece of repair that was happening and they gave excellent advice on car maintenance schedule afterwards. I originally came for a simple state inspection, but ended up repairing my other problems I’d known about because they had such an attitude of professionalism and honesty. They’ve certainly earned me as a customer for as long as I’m here.

I had a great experience with Chimney Rock car care. They were extremely helpful and friendly. Did not try to upsell me on something I didn’t need. Also followed up on the service with a text and made it easy to communicate if i needed anything else or had any questions. I’ll definitely be going back.

I knew my 08 Chevy Silverado starter failed, called Juan at Chimney Rock Car Care, they recommended a tow service, picked up truck, replaced starter with OEM replacement (my request) same day. Great service! They also diagnosed a couple other things that I will address in the near future on my ole truck.

Bought a set of 4 brand new tires for my Dodge Ram truck and purchased warranty to go along with them. 2 years later and still well within the miles of coverage I had a tire problem. Contacted company about the problem to see if I was still covered with warranty which I was. Customer service states that nothing is on record or even any information about me purchasing the tires from their location. Also very rude on phone and felt like I was a bother to call about them about the problem. Called the bank and they can’t look that far back on records. So I’m just out of luck. Very poor service at this location and so convenient for them to not have me in there system when I call for my warranty. Feels like a scam. I suggest if you guys want to buy Good Year tires go to an ACTUAL decent car shop and not SECOND lender for them like this company.

Brought my car in (10 year old car) to have the belts change and the back shocks fixed. Also needed a brake check because they were acting strange. Asked for an oil change and tire rotation while they were doing things. They were so helpful and nice! They called and sent pictures of everything they found. They found no issue with my brakes. Having a bad experience at Caliber Collision is what brought me to Chimney Rock Car Care. I came here to get my headlight fixed after Caliber failed to do so. Travis at Chimney Rock Car Care was so helpful and honestly gave me a big sigh of relief because I felt like he actually cared to help me in every way he could. Travis and Juan both were extremely knowledgeable and informed me of other things my car needed. They really broke everything down for me to understand. I dropped my car off for general repairs like windshield wipers, oil change, alignment etc.. I received a call stating my car “supposedly” needed $1400 in repairs, including a $900 brake job & a new tire. I’d recently replaced the tire they were speaking of 4 days before. I politely declined & said I’d get a second opinion. I picked my car up after work noticed while driving my car all of a sudden has a loud whistling noise coming from the back of the car. I didn’t have this issue or brake issues before I dropped my car off. I took my car back the next day & they wanted to charge me over $500 for back brake pads. I politely declined & took my car elsewhere for this “new found problem” that my car all of a sudden had.

I have been going to this place for almost five years now and I wholeheartedly recommend this shop to everyone. As someone who runs a customer service oriented business, their knowledge, friendliness, and willingness go above and beyond, are leagues above many autoshops and stores in general.I can only remember one time when I went to an autoshop (it was a franchise and I needed the problem solved quick). Took my SUV in for a bunch of random things (inspection, oil change, serpentine belt, air filters, etc.) and they got it all done in a day. They actually emailed a report from the service tech that included photos of him going through the car - never seen that before and really gives you peace of mind. Makes me feel good to support a family-owned business, but they make it easy by doing a good job.

They got me in very quickly, gave me a ride back home, they fixed everything quickly and for a good price. They also picked me up to bring me back to my car. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well. Highly recommend!

As a woman, I was ready for them to try to up sell me some BS... I do all my own work on my car but it was time to get state inspected ( chose this location because it was nearby and I once saw a hot guy work there) And if you been ripped off before you learned to expect the worst. I was expecting for them to tell me I need new wiper blades or blinker fluid, maybe piston return springs? After waiting 40 minutes and watching my car watch me from the parking lot, I had to ask the adviser what was going on. I was nearly the only person in their. After He went to go talk to somebody and one of the mechanics brought it around. Im not even sure if they knew they had a state inspection waiting. 10 minutes later they bring me my car & everything is gravy. In my opinion this place is women friendly. 👍👍👍 Thanks! Much better than the scammers at Firestone for state testing!

Erin was VERY professional. The guys that work on the cars KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I took my car to the Hyundai dealership to see what was wrong with my brakes and they just gave me a “guess” or what was wrong. I brought it back to Chimney Rock and they drove my car and gave me the EXACT problem and fixed it the SAME day. They even took me to Autozone to swap out the parts! WHO DOES THAT? This place..... Today was my second time visiting Chimney Rock Car Care and similarly to the first visit, I was underwhelmed with the service and guidance provided. On my first visit, I was advised to have a specific test done for a confirmed problem that was found. When I returned for the service, I was informed that the problem that had initially been diagnosed turned out to be inaccurate. I was still required to pay for the test and labor despite their own oversight on the initial visit. I then asked the advisor if he had noticed any additional major issues with my vehicle and he only mentioned a minor issue with the windshield wipers. I returned home and realized they had marked down a major issue with my brake fluid that was not verbally addressed. I called the shop for an explanation not even five minutes after my departure and received no answer. I took my car here wanting to give my business to a smaller shop rather than the dealership, but will not be returning again in the future due to the lack of communication and generally less than friendly service. The labor costs were also quite high with little to no explanation as to what had actually been completed and why.

Fantastic service, very conciously and dedicated stuff of co-workers, who take care of your car as of their own, they are little pricey but for this mount of care its worth it to me. Also they will advice you first and communicate with you in advance what is urgent or necessary to do with your vehicles and are not pushy. This is what I appreciate a lot!

This place used to be the best car place in houston, Honest, educated and affordable.however, Juan is running this place now and he is rude everytime I work with him. He says he will call back, never does. He even diagnosed my car with an ac issue, windshield fluid issue when actually the fluid was low. I cannot believe that he is still employed. I feel like Im talking to an angsty teenager when I call.

Used this place multiple times. 109$ to look at the vehicle, they also take unreasonable amount of labor to perform simple tasks.After overly high billing i started looking into what i was being charged for. They apply a 110% up charge on parts. When i pointed it out they acknowledged how much they up charge and said their system does the up charge and they cant override.I will never go back and do not recommend using them for any service.

Literally every other shop applies the fee they charge to inspect your cars issue to the final bill. Not these greedy people. They charge you for all the material and labor on top of that. Never getting my business again.

So the guys in front are outright liars. The man who came in right after me was told it would take 2.5 hours until they could do an oil change for him. I asked if I was going to have a wait, since they never mentioned it to me. They assured me I was fine since I was just getting brakes, so I went ahead and signed for their free diagnostic. Over an hour later, they hadnt even looked at my vehicle. After almost another hour, I finally get an estimate thats far more than what Ive paid for the exact same service elsewhere. I didnt have time to go to another shop at this point, so I go ahead and okay the service. I was then told it might take two hours to finish. Two hours later, and they hadnt even started! I asked what was up and was told, we have the parts in stock, hes just finishing up this car and then hell start on yours. 4 HOURS AND THEY HADNT DONE ANYTHING. I totally understand that shops can get backed up and that appears to be what happened, but THEY KNEW they were backed up AND THEY STILL TOLD ME they werent.

I was having an issue with my AC in my car. I brought it in on a Saturday and they had it done within 45 minutes! The cost was very reasonable and they had great service. They checked everything else in my car and gave me two recommendations for upcoming repairs to start planning for. Also, I had recently hit something on my bumper and they even removed the excess paint for me as a courtesy! Great place that I would highly recommend!

This guy is great. He is a former BMW Master Technician. He is an honest worker and has serviced my BMW since I moved to Houston 2 years ago. His rates have always been incredibly fair. Garrett is also great at estimating service time required, and does everything he can to meet his timeline. Did I mention that he is also very skilled? His diagnostic skills are especially great.I highly, highly recommend giving this shop a chance... service you can trust!

I took my car for a grinding noise it was making and also an inspection of the brakes. The noise had ceased and they couldnt find a cause. They inspected the brakes and found they were fine, no need for work.Its not often you drop your car with an auto repair shop and pick it up same day with no bill. I think these are honest people, and thats one of the most important criteria when selecting an auto shop.

Im a bit new to the area and decided to give Chimney Rock Car Care a chance. Im all about reviews so of course Google helped me on my decision to try these guys out! Very polite and good energy in this place :) everyone was so nice! Only service I got was an oil change but they also let me know what else my car was needing in the future without any pressure of getting it done right away. These gentlemen made me feel comfortable and Ill definitely be back for more service!

My wife and I have been bringing our car here since we move to Houston, we Yelp the place, and same quality of service we got and still do get. Last year they did the CV joins replacement to my Juke 2011, GREAT work, event better, less than me taking it to the dealer, which I compare. Oh, Billy wont try to push you to do stuff that is not needed, like the dealer.

No questions asked and no sales pitch. Just gave the guy my keys and he filled out all the paper work for me. It was amazing! Went in to get my oil changed. They were prompt and able to find 3 more issues with my truck. Allowed me to walk out to see the issue. Gave their recommendation but did not push me into anything. Allowed me to really understand what needed done, what could wait, and how they were working on it. Best place I have been for my truck.

Update on 12/12/2019 :Im changing my rating to 2 stars after my 2nd visit to the shop on December 12.1- I called on Thursday at 1pm and talked to Billy briefly and asked if the shop can do the 60K maintenance for Lexus IS250 2014. Billy told me he would call me back in 5 minutes but he i waited an hour with no call so i called back and talked to Billy again and he said he will be calling me again as he was busy, which i understood so i decided to drive to the shop since i live in the area, anyway he got everything ready and i singed the paperwork and he said it will take 2 hours. So i left the shop and came back after 2 hours.2- When i got back to pick up my vehicle Billy told me that they replaced the parts need to be replaced but declined to replace the spark plugs which is the most important this for the 60K maintenance. This is not acceptable in many ways, first you should tell me from the beginning that you wont be able to replace the plugs before hand 2- Even if you didnt know until you opened the hood, you should have called me and update me and give me the option if i want to proceed. you cant just do a partial 60K maintenance on the car. We are all have busy lives and i could have easily took it to the dealership and pay extra $100 to get the work done as you dont charge so much cheaper than the dealership.3- I asked Billy if i can returned the vehicle tomorrow to get the spark plugs replaced as he stated that a gasket is needed, first he said yes but when i asked him if he is sure then he started looking into his computer and said that he wont be able to get the gasket anytime soon. thats when i became really frustrated and asked him if he can release the car back for me.4- I understand that people may make mistakes as no one is perfect but my frustration was that the shop did not even try to make this right and keep my business. I walked out unsatisfied and spent 3 hours for a simple maintenance that did not even got completely done. I liked this place when you guys helped me with my front headlight replacement but i dont think i will be back and return to the dealership for any work that my car need.*******They might be overpriced a bit but they are definitely honest people. They fixed the car headlight by changing a bulb for $220 after I was told by Lexus dealership that ill need to replace the whole headlight assembly for $1300.1st time doing business with Chimney Rock Car Care :The techs at chimney Rock car care took a look at the headlight and only changed the bulb and saved me the cost of replacing the whole thing. I will definitely be bringing my car here again for maintenance and other car services.

These guys are awesome! They take care of my personal vehicle along with all of my company vehicles. I never have a problem with any of their work, they always do a great job. Great experience over all.I brought my BMW in for an oil/fluid change. The owner went over everything with me and got it done quickly and reasonably. No upselling at all.Billy took my call in the morning and was quick and to the point about the info I needed (time, scheduling, costs, etc) so I could get it handled quickly,I got their later than my appointment time right before they were closing but they went ahead and did the work anyway since I had called ahead without a fuss. His wife was working front of house and was helpful, knowledgeable and even helped me out with some advice and price of parts for a friend who wasnt going to get the work done there just to help out.

Theyre willing to work with you to find the cheapest solution to your problem, if thats what you want, or do the super-deluxe version if thats what youre looking for: bottom line, they want to make sure theyre doing what you need and what you want. Ive got literally no complaints about their work, which is something I cant say about any other mechanic Ive ever hired.

Very nice place. I changed my tires couple days ago at some other place and suddenly noises comes from my right front tire. I just stop by Goodyear Chimney Rock location and Jason fixed the problem very quick on Friday evening around 5 pm. It took Onu 10 min. He was very quick. it was on rush hour and it usually takes a while to fix your car. The lady was at the front was very friendly and talkative. Even she did not charge me at all. It was amazing. My previous mechanic would always find the most expensive solution to my problem but with an older car, I like to know my options and not feel that I am getting ripped off. They got my car in quick for a state inspection (and tail light bulb replacement). They called to update me when the inspection and light replacement was completed not too long after. Lounge is comfortable with a TV and coffee/water station as well. Good experience overall, I will be back.

My first visit yo this place.Took my SUV for a safety inspection since i move from Va. Staff were friendly and helpful,i will definitely come back here to have my vehicle get service again.

I typically do my own maintenance, but I did have to go in for a wheel alignment, and their alignment price was on the pricier side, but due to convenience (I work close to the shop) and good ratings, I decided to just get it done here. I also asked them to re-balance my wheels because my wheel weights on the front passenger wheel was scraping my brake calipers after I rotated my tires the night before, and I removed the wheel weights myself.Once it was all done, the alignment seems to be just fine, and they seemed to resolve the issue of my wheel weights scraping on the passenger side, but now the new wheel weights they installed on my driver side was scraping. It was kind of annoyance to have to go back to get it fixed again, but luckily, they were very helpful and fixed it free of charge.My only big complaint was the price and the fact I had to come in twice. Locally, I can get an alignment done for about $75, but maybe its because its in Galleria, it was around $150. Also, Im not a car guru by any means, but I feel like I have a good understanding in car maintenance since I do them myself, I know when a mechanic is trying to blow smoke up your bum and one thing I appreciate is that these guys dont do that. They wont try to push anything on you, and I can respect that, and theyre willing to help so thats a plus.

Wouldnt recommend. Came here for a tire rod replacement and after that visit a bolt mysteriously disappears that causes my car to grind. When i take I back they charge me 30 extra dollars the bolt that when missing. The 1 star is because you get free water out of a old dispensary. I cant do business with a location this irresponsible. They were in the area performing work. Then a 30 dollar part goes missing... Unexcusable!!
