Really great service. I appreciate Sherry’s attitude and helpfulness. I always feel intimidated at auto repair places (I usually feel ignorant and cheated), and Sherry definitely put me at ease. Car feels much better driving it, and the price was very fair. Will definitely go back the next time I need work done.

Came here after parting ways with my original mechanic of nearly 2 decades (his new hours made it nearly impossible to leave a car with him). I had an issue with current vehicles cooling fan module (Honda hybrid). Right off the bat, I felt like Sherri appreciated me stopping in and she was attentive to my cars issue and searched diligently for the needed part. She was forthright in that they were a bit backed up and it would be about 10 days before I could put the vehicle in. And I feel like these are the things you get with HCS: care and honesty. The car was fixed by the time they said it would be and the issue has been fixed for a very reasonable price. If my car needs any other major repairs, HCS will be my first call and should be yours, too!

I have a 2012 4Runner with 160k miles, and I started to experience that my car doesn’t drive the same. I do all the maintenance myself, and Ive tried many things such as changing spark plugs, cleaning throttle body, use different cleaners, but the final result wasn’t there. Tired of experimenting I decided to check HCS place, and I wasn’t disappointed. This place is very friendly, they have serious stuff out there, very professional and knowledgeable technicians. After about 1 hour of work, I got my car back, and I felt the result. Best way to describe my car’s performance is if I’m driving a caged beast that has all the power to break loose at my command

HCS Auto took my car in on a Saturday, last minute, after a crazy week of Houston weather, that was topped off by car problems. I have a 2012 Hyundai Elantra, and they were kind, and efficient. Great service For over 40 years!

Ive used these folks for a few things for my CRV over the years and have always driven away without issue. They have treated me so well (my mom and I both use them) that I even made plans to come from Austin to have them work on my car as they were exponentially cheaper. Sherri is very helpful and feels like a neighbor Ive known for years. She remembers me and asks about my mom whenever I call with car issues. She makes this place feel like a long lost treasured mom n pop place, so hard to find these days. A trusty mechanic is also hard to find and these folks are them!

Everyone here went above and beyond helping me get my truck back on the road. We had a problem we’re the stock parts wouldn’t fit my truck because it was modified before I got it. Took my tundra in for an alternator swap, dealership quoted $1450 before tax. HCS got it fixed for a fraction of that cost and my truck sounds much better. The front desk lady was very nice and helpful. Would recommend if you have a toyota.

Sheri is great. This family owned business really takes care of there customers! They’re transparent and speak to you in easy to understand terms.

I brought in the family minivan that was not blowing cold air. They took it in and fixed it the same day I brought it in to ensure i got my AC working. I really appreciate the work and care they took in making my vehicle blow cold air again. If you have ever have a problem with your car do come in and use them for their services. Their mechanics are top notch, and Sherrie is very personable.

10/2020: I cannot say enough nice things about Sherri and the HCS Team. I needed additional repairs to my Subaru. They kept me updated and informed and even thought the repairs were costly, I feel that they were more than fair with me.11/-2019: Sherri and the HCS Team are great. I do not live in Houston, but Im here on a long-term work assignment. Unfortunately I needed to have a somewhat major repair done to my Subaru. Sherri and her team were very fair and did not take advantage of the situation. She did a great job of keeping me updated and informed while they completed the repair. My car is fixed and working great. Ill be telling everyone I can about my great experience and if I ever need additional repairs Ill be taking my car to HCS Automotive.

These guys are great. My family has been going to them for over 20 years. Theyre always straight shooters and their integrity is second to none. You get better quality service than the dealership at a great price and they stand behind the work they perform (what else can you ask?). I live over 15 miles from them but wont take a vehicle anywhere else if I dont have to.

This is my fist time using this shop. The service and attention to detail was outstanding! They really take care of their customers. My 2003 Honda Pilot has 345,000. I have used HCS in the past and they have always been great. This is a group that I can honestly say I trust them. My recent visit was a testimony of this. I had misfire codes that I could not solve and it was time to replace the timing belt and water pump. Any shop could start trying to fix a multitude of things and charge me tons of money. They investigated many possibilities and communicated with me different potential areas of issues before starting to address them. I felt like it was my own family working on my car and the end results were great and the price was very fair. Sheri kept me informed throughout the entire process. This is the only shop I have used in the past that I would highly recommend.

HCS hires expert mechanics to bring in the work by giving you great customer service and quality work. That is what keeps a business going. They are not backed by corporate marketing dollars to bring in customers. Also, HCS does not have a high turnover rate with mechanics. Which means these people have experienced employees to get the job done right. This spreads like wild fire by word of mouth. They know what they are capable of doing and will give their customers honest facts of what work needs to be done to get their customers safely back on the road. If HCS is not able to do the work, HCS has people they trust who can get it done. Even if their customers have no idea of what is going on with their vehicle take it in and Sheri and the team will put them at ease and give options for the vehicle that can be trusted. No run around, no inflated prices, no extra work that is not needed, just what is needed, when it is needed, worry free, no extra hassle.Ten thumbs up.

Today had my first experience with HCS Automotive. Sheri was very helpful and knowledgeable over the phone and in person and immediately made me feel that this was an honest and expert company.They repaired my Acura A/C blower at a better price than the dealer. They gave me the defective part. They also told me that my brake shoes did not need to be replaced as the dealer had asserted. George drove me to and from my work and was very pleasant.They have my business now.

When the AC on my Accord Hybrid quit, my local dealer said the repair would cost nearly $3,000 and a necessary part was back-ordered and unavailable for at least a month. HCS found the part - the only one in stock in the U.S. - at a Honda dealer in North Carolina, who overnighted it to Houston. HCS fixed my car the next day, for half what the dealer would have charged. Five stars and two thumbs up!

Discovered this place by accident when I was headed to an autoparts store. My 07 Accord had trouble starting and they replaced my alternator and battery. While I was there, I decided to get my brake pads, oil and transmission fluids replaced also. They did a great job. I witnessed other customers coming in and were very happy with the service this shop provided. The prices were competitive so Id recommend anyone looking to get their Honda or Acura serviced to try this place out..

My daughter had a flat recently while picking up her brother at a school near HCSs shop...I was stuck more than 2 hrs away and her mom was still at work...there was nothing we could do immediately...while looking for a tire-store store near by, I saw HCS and called to see if they had a tow truck to assist with the tire change...Sherry answered and after a brief explanation of our situation, she simply said Dont worry, Ill send someone over there right now...and that was it....no questions, no credit card, no nothing...just doing all she could to help out someone in a bind!! Have had three Honda products, which we really enjoy. Once our warranties ran out we found HCS. They do great work at a fraction of the dealer cost, in addition to knowing their product. My understanding is they do all Japanese brands, including Toyota. Have been getting work done here on the MDX for the last two years post warranty and will do so until it dies!

Being one of the first ten customers (since inception in 1987) of then The Honda Car Shop to now HCS Automotive allows me to speak with some authority. The crew has seen me through my 1986 Civic, 2000 Accord ( premature demise due to Tropical Storm Allison), 2001 Accord, and now caring for my 2017 Civic. Tony, Sheri, Anthony Jr, Miguel, Vanessa, et al., treat me and my vehicles as if we are family; which we have absolutely become. Trust, one of the most difficult things to obtain in the automotive repair business, has been so well earned. Never has a service or repair been performed unless necessary. They will guide you properly, e.g., if something can wait, they inform you, or if something is suspected to be covered under warranty, they will advise you so that you dont spend money needlessly. The quality of the workmanship is top notch too. And, if something is missed, or needs to be corrected, they handle it without incident and expediently. Textbook customer service exists at HCS. This is a rarity these days, and something that I am keenly aware of and do not take for granted. In turn, they have earned my eternal loyalty.

Honest car repairs. HCS has maintained almost every Honda I have owned. I trust my car with them.

On two ocassions, I called ahead before going to the shop which took about 45mins to get there and they said they can do the job. I scheduled appointments so I was not just dropping the car while they were working on other jobs. On both occasions they gave flimsy excuses that they would have to do all this work etc. and wanted me to leave the car for a week to troubleshoot but I couldn’t wait and took it to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the issue within a few hours and was fixed. On another car, I decided to give them another try based on the reviews and since the last time I went there was during the Christmas season where everyone was busy. I called ahead and scheduled an appointment and asked if they could do the work and sherry said yes, I left the car for a week since I had another car. I did not hear back after a week and was waiting for an estimate so went to see what was going on. They moved my car outside unlocked and was not worked on essentially wasting my time, money and putting my vechicle at risk.If you cannot work on a car just say so and at least keep the CUSTOMER in the loop.They have good reviews but certainly would not recommend as this is misleading.

For the lady who just answered the phone, youre incredibly rude! Third shop I called, the ONLY shop that could not give me a rate on replacing synchros and a clutch. $3500-$4500 to replace synchros and a clutch when it takes every other place less than 10 hours, and every other place ranged from $780-$1300. I can take my car to a Stealership and have the entire engine and transmission replaced parts and labor for around $4500!Since I have used this shop in the past and really loved their work, I wanted them to do this job too. However, due to her very sour attitude, very rude bulldozing tone, and not knowing a damn thing about what shes talking about, I will take my business elsewhere!

I took my Acura TL in for B1 service this past Saturday around 10. I found them on Google after typing in Acura certified mechanics and saw it had high reviews.I was not disappointed! I ran into a mechanic outside who told me theyve serviced Acuras for about 23 years. The clerk working the front (Sherry) was so nice! She said they would get me out in about an hour. They got me out in less than an hour plus the waiting room has WIFI and TV.I only paid 39 dollars and some change. All of the sites I read online said taking to an Acura dealership would have been at least $150 to $200. My cars service light is off, and my baby is running as smooth as butter. Needless to say, I will definitely be goin back!

Two words to describe Miguel - brilliant and sincere.I had a loud voom voom sound coming from under my honda civic for a long time.None of the mechanics in the past could fix it. The last guy said it was the axle and replaced the axle on the car for $500. That didnt fix it.I took the car to HCS and Miguel and I drove the car together. Within five minutes, Miguel pointed to the passenger side rear tire and said, your problem is over there.We stopped the car and Miguel felt around all the tires. He asked me to replace the two rear tires.I replaced it and sure enough, the sound was gone.Miguel didnt charge me a penny, even though he could have charged me something.Thanks Miguel.
