Went here to get a quote on brakes. They told me I needed new rotors. Ended up going to Honda and they told me they just needed to be resurfaced. Owner did call later and explained why they only offered me new rotors. Employees could of done a better job at explaining it. Was at least happy the owner explained things to me

It happened 2 individual incidents to me, first was someone tried to steal my truck unsuccessful but broke my lock of the door, second was my truck was stop running in the middle of my driving... My husband and I had no ideal whats happening about the truck. I am so happy Collins Autocare can identify the problems and fit it. So my truck still can run now. Absolute Best Auto Repair shop in greater Houston area!!! My wife’s Yukon needed new tires but upon Collins Auto Care full multi point inspection, they found that the brakes were at an unsafe level and the shocks and struts were all blown. We were about to head out on a family trip to Florida. I’m so grateful they took the time to inspect everything as it would have been dangerous to make the drive to Florida without addressing the other issues. They provided pictures and an explanation of all the work that needed to be done and prioritized it for me. I decided to get the new tires and get the brake and suspension work done but had a limited time window for the repairs to be completed. They went above and beyond to track down the parts and get the work done so the vehicle was ready in time for me to meet my deadline. I simply cannot say enough good things about the quality of the people, the actual service and the communication at Collins Auto Care. From the owner Mike Collins down to his service advisors and technicians, you will be treated like family and they will get you taken care of and back on the road safely and efficiently! I won’t take my vehicles anywhere else from now on and I truly feel anyone in need of auto service/repair would be making a mistake if they don’t stop by and see the folks at Collins Auto Care!!

Way over priced! I was better off going to the dealership! Collins auto care quoted me over 3k to fix the oil leaks I had. They took a week and a half to do the full diagnostic just to tell me things I didnt ask them to look for plus they never actually pin pointed were 2 out of the 3 issues were coming from! Of course I paid the 344 diagnostic charge 🤦🏾and decided to just take it to the buick dealership and was charged 175 for a full diagnostic and 1,200 to fix the oil leaks on my car. Thats less then half! I chose this place because they seem to have good ratings but my experience there felt more like I was cheated out of money. Anyone that doesnt know much about cars would have probably paid the 3k. Sorry but not me... So I will definitely not take the chance on another vehicle there.

Very disappointed with the servive and information I was given from Collins auto care, i decided to take my vehicle here to be diagnosed based on all the reviews, as well as Collins being rated a 5-start auto center. Usally i use another shop in the woodlands, but this shop was close to where my vehicle was located which made it easier to get the vehicle to this shop compared to my normal shop.The fact that it took almost two weeks for Mr. Collins to even diagnose vehicle, but then the charge was definitely unreasonable. Just for him to tell me they had no clue what was wrong with my car, and still charged me 350.I will definitely never go back to this place, and will stay with my original shop, which normally has my diagnosis complete within the first few hours of having my vehicle and only charging me $108 after tax. Ripleys total car care is where they treat u like family, and dont try to take u for your time and money!!!

After installing a set of coil-overs and a few suspension arms, my car was in need of an alignment. Brought my 2006 Kia Sedona van in about a month ago. I have waited to right this review to ensure everything that needed was fixed and fixed proper. The van ride was kicking my but, bouncing me all over the place. I have never had anything dont with the suspension since the van was new. Needless to say i needed an entire rebuild of everything on the bottom to include tires and brakes.It took the team right at a week and everything was done. I have been riding around these bumpy Houston roads and let me tell ya my van is like a NEW RIDE now. I was driving a used Ford Ranger pick up that I had recently purchased. It was making lots of noises underneath the front end. I knew it needed suspension work. I have seen vehicles suddenly disabled because one of the front tires fell off. I didnt want that to happen to me.So I looked around for a free estimate. I was going to try and fix it myself. It probably would have taken me several months to do so. I am not a mechanic. Anyway I agreed to Collins Auto Care fixing my truck. They got it down in about a day. I was having trouble holding up my end of the deal. They worked with me though. I got my truck back Christmas Eve 2020. The truck runs and sounds great. I was treated nice. I waited 10 hours for two small repairs: change spark plugs and gas filter. Because I did not buy a long list of auto services I was slow walked all day. Finally the services were very over priced.ST

I made the bad judgement if trying to fix my check engine light and replace my engine coolant bypass valve myself on my 2015 Ford Escape. Needless to say I made things worse. Collins Auto Care had no issues stepping in and saving the day late on a Friday. They even found a safety issue that needed addressed also that I wasnt aware of.Thanks for the quick fix of my 5 hour ordeal I caused myself.

These guys are great. They made me a turbo downpipe for a custom build for my Accord. Told them what I wanted a downpipe that would allow me to keep A/C (a must in Texas) and power steering, gave me their input and a downpipe was made. Not only was the craftsmanship immaculate it didnt break my wallet.I really wish these guys were in Dallas, but I do visit Houston often and make arrangements to have my work I cant do myself there. That says a lot.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND - the shop I normally take my vehicles (near my office) wanted to charge 4 hours minimum to diagnose because they couldnt figure it out after the first 535.00 I paid them..... I brought my truck to Kim at Collins this morning. She called me - while I was still driving away from there - and told me what was wrong - the repairs were complete in a day and cost 1/3rd of what my normal shop would have charged. THANKS KIM!

Grade A, Top Notch Service!!! I called Collins Auto before stopping by to ensure that they could provide the service that I needed. I was embraced with a warm welcome over the phone by Oscar. He was very kind and patient. He informed me that they would inspect my truck for free to determine the issue. This shocked me because most mechanics will charge you a service fee just to drive it in. Upon arriving, they pulled my truck in and had a diagnosis within 10 mins. One of the mechanics came out and explained everything to me in Lehmans terms. I decided to leave my vehicle with them as they offered me a free shuttle ride to my residence. On the way home, my driver/mechanic (Tim) gave me some background on my vehicle that I was not aware of. He gave me some great tips to keep my vehicle maintained. I expected to pay more than I wanted on repairs but I ended up paying way less than expected. This Auto shop is not one to take advantage of its customers. It is very apparent that they put the people first. Every one of the staff members were very humble and kind. The owner, Mike Collins followed up with me the day after to express his appreciation for my business. That warm gesture made me feel so appreciated. Seeing a check engine light is pretty scary, so I rely on the Collins Team to keep me going. My 2013 Kia with almost 100K miles runs like a new car thanks to these guys. They always show me what needs to be done, and when, and provide a detailed receipt with future recommendations and pricing attached. Im always surprised that the work wasnt as much as Id expected, and since I spent 4 years writing service myself at Acura, I usually have a ballpark idea. When you want it done right the first time and at a great price, these are your guys.

Collins automotive is a rare find these days. I brought my Jeep SRT8 in for warranty work on the engine and although the warranty company is weaseling out of paying for the repairs I would highly recommend Collins automotive for there efforts to diagnose and work on my behalf as advocates in the process. They went above and beyond to do everything to make sure that they never left a loop hole for the company to exploit. In the end I will return and continue to do business with them as they are not only trustworthy but they provide excellent services and are also very reasonable. I recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

I have been coming here for a number of years and this place is far and away the BEST car mechanic place I have been to. Their prices are reasonable and they are extremely ethical. They will not recommend things you don’t need, so I trust them so much that I never even think about that anymore. Also I have never had to bring my car back again for something they worked on. I took my truck in for what I thought was a starter issue, and it did turn out to be that, but if they hadnt investigated further and replaced some battery terminals, Id be stuck somewhere. Kudos to the team at Collins for keeping me on the road.

Very detailed, professional and prompt service was provided for my Nissan truck, and they offered courtesy transportation to & from my home.On Mon 6/22 I purchased 4 new Goodyear tires for my Nissan Truck from Collins Auto Care and had them installed, had a front end alignment and had the truck inspected for State inspection. All this was done quickly and without any delays and was back on the road promptly. I Always receive top notch, professional service at this auto shop, and Michael at the front counter is one of the best service advisors Ive ever delt with. I brought my 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse in due to it over heating. Once a service man came out I show him the issue was the water outlet flange (pointed to it to him). He told me they had to do a coolant system check . I agreed but I told him I knew where the issue was. He still agree to the do the test. Got charged 60$ for some test to tell me where I pointed where my issue was . They try to charge me 69.76 for taking out a broken bolt . I did it for free .

Mike and his team did a great job on my car! Mike worked very hard with my warranty company and took a lot of his time to deal with them and he is great at negotiating with them. I took my Honda Civic to the dealership to have them check out my AC and they quoted my $500 for new Freon and a new temp mode motor.I was skeptical of that diagnosis and a friend recommended Collins Automotive so I took it to Tim there. He said the temp mode motor was fine but it needed two small check valves replaced along with the Freon, which he did for $180 and the AC works fine now. These guys arent going to screw you with unnecessary repairs.
