I’ve been taking all three of my vehicles here for over a year. I’ve had everything from extensive work to small repairs done and these people are hands down the best. I’ve worked on cars growing up and dealt with a lot of mechanics so I am very picky and know it it almost impossible to find a good trustworthy shop. They do amazing work, are fast and priced very well. I came here because it was family owned and happy I can support the people that still run mom and pop shops that focus on quality.

Just moved to Tx from Cali 6months ago and was looking for a mechanic. Heights Auto is less than a mile from my home. Looked at the reviews and like what I read. Dropped car off and was worried when I kept getting changes on the quote I first got. It went from 2-4 days to 2 weeks. I believe that the mechanic found problems that I didn’t know I had. He showed me the parts the he replaced. I appreciate how thorough he is. Lucy helped me better understand the process. Not sure if the price was great, but better than Aamco and Midas. I will go back. 🙂

We live in The Heights and we’re excited to find a good, local mechanic. Unfortunately, Heights Auto Repair is not it. We brought our SUV in with a noise in the front left side. They said they could fix the issue but had to order two parts. They also said they would call us when the parts arrived and give us an ETA on getting the car back. That never happened. We called them to confirm parts arrived, got a long story as to why they thought they would only need one but assured us it would be fixed and they would call us the next day when the repair was done. That never happened. We followed up for two days and finally confirmed the car was ready. We picked it up and the noise we came in to fix was still there. We dropped the car off again and after a week of us following up they said they thought it was the transmission but couldn’t be sure and they couldn’t fix it.I’m not upset they couldn’t fix the car. In fact, I appreciate the honesty but the lack of communication is why we won’t be back. They had our car for two weeks, charged us $250, fixed nothing and we had to call them no less than 5-6 times to find all of this out because they never once called us back to share information as they promised they would.

I recently had to have my engine replaced and they were extremely quick to find a few replacement options available. It was excellent service and very honest and great prices. Everyone at the desk are really nice and helpful (esp Sylvia). Would recommend friends to go for any auto services.

High beams werent working they diagnosed the issue (not a bulb issue) and gave a very reasonable price and returned it quickly. Will definitely use again in the future

I stopped by there Sat 6/5/21 with a minor fuse issue on my Mazda6. I was greeted by a pleasant you lady named Kimberly. I told her I was pretty sure of the problem and also told her I was in a little of a hurry. She had one of the guys check it out and replace the fuse immediately. And, she only charged me $10! I was in and out of there in about 20 minutes! Well done! Thank-you!

Sent in my 2004 Honda Civic on a Saturday right before they closed, and they were SO helpful. I was so worried that my new, 2 year old alternator was faulty, but Heights Auto Repair diagnosed my vehicle with a broken battery ground. It was so fast and cheap to get it fixed, and my anxiety has been completely alleviated! Not to mention, the front desk lady is so kind and helpful! Thank you, Heights Auto Repair!

I recently moved to Houston from Phoenix and I needed a great mechanic, and one that wouldn’t overcharge for even the simplest of repairs and I was recommended this place by a family member and decided to give it a try. And let’s just say that I’m happy that I did. I needed a few things done to my car and I was quoted a thousand dollars less that what I was going to have to pay back in AZ! Like I literally could not believe it. Anyone that I know that needs to get their car fixed etc, I will definitely recommend them to come to this place. Heights Auto Repair is my over all choice when my vehicle needs proper repairs.

I had my vehicle stop in the middle of the road so i called around for a few mechanics but they were all either rude or really busy. i called heights auto repair and Alfredo seemed really genuine and nice and even offered his tow service. they came within a few minutes. Alfredo was really busy that day but he offered to replace my alternator within a couple hours. i really appreciate Alfredos willingness to help me out and give me a good price.

After moving from California my car needed some basic maintence done. Prices were fair, service was quick and so far (3 weeks) havent had any issues. Will continue to come back as needed and would recommend

Mr Lopez and his team fixed my car and gave it back to me the same day, worked hard / carefully to find the problems, ordered the right parts, and on top of all of it they gave me affordable pricing. I say it’s a lot better than taking the car to dealership / automotive, etc.

Kimberly and the crew are AWESOME!!!! I had recently changed out my throttle body and my rpms were sky high for 3 days. When I took my Tahoe to Heights Auto Kimberly relearned my throttle body for me free of charge and it took about 30 minutes to do... she also held a nice laughter filled conversation with me about cars lol... I had just got my racket pinion and motor mounts done by Heights Auto a few weeks ago so this was my first place in mind when I ran into another car problem! Thank you again Heights Auto! !!😁

Kimberley offered excellent front desk customer service and even agreed to give me a ride back to work since I worked in the area! This was extremely convenient! Firestone charged me a $99 diagnostic fee and quoted me a higher cost for the same work that Heights auto repair shop performed. In addition the diagnostic with Heights Auto Repair was FREE (with an understandable $25 fee if I did NOT get their work done). I went ahead and agreed to get the work done and I’m satisfied with their work!

This was a great experience. Im new to the city, and came to get a sensor repaired on my Honda. I had to wait in the shop for alittle while. The entire time, the staff was very kind and checked in on me. My mechanic, Antonio... was first class and a great conversationalist. AC on 2008 Tahoe was cool, but not cold. I was worried it was something expensive with the compressor. Coils and filter were clean. Heights Auto Repair checked all the readings on the compressor and said its working fine, suspected it was the Orifice Tube and replaced. Tube and freon out the door same day for 1 hr of labor and $29 in parts. AC COLD COLD COLD.Its a no-frills auto garage, but definitely going back next time I need something.

Great work for a fair price. They changed an ac compressor kit for half of the cost that I was quoted at another shop in the area. They were busy when I dropped it off but they still managed to Have my car ready when they said they would. First time using Heights auto repair and I will definitely be using them again.

I took my truck here last year to have the A/C serviced. I authorized him to order a new compressor and condenser if needed. This should have been a straightforward job and taken a few hours. When he returned the truck to me the next day the truck A/C was not cold. I returned it and he fixed it again. This time I started it up and the cooling fans immediately went to their highest setting. After reading online, I determined that this was something to do with a damaged pressure switch (which was working correctly before I dropped it off). So he charges me for a new pressure switch and goes to install it. Now that its summer again its clear my A/C still isnt working correctly and the diagnosis is likely an issue with the pressure switch.Communication is terrible, truck was returned in worse condition that it was dropped off two times and then I was charged for parts that he damaged while doing the service.I will not be returning.

This mechanic shop does really great work and at a great price. They got me in and out within 3 days which is also due to the repairs that needed to be done to my car. The only thing that I did not like was I was informed they check my AC and put 2 ounces of freon in my car to check it and would not charge me. But when I got my bill I was charged 29.99 for the 2 ounces of freon. If I would have known that when I checked out I would have mentioned it but now that its done and over with I feel like I cant go back and say anything. But other than that great work nice people

I recently took my car into their shop for the first time. I was quoted a fair estimate, brought my car in the next day, picked it up the following morning and was charged what I was quoted. The car is running much better and it appears that they did an exceptionally good job. I found them honest and dedicated to professional workmanship. They also price their work very fairly; its comforting to find a shop this trustworthy. I will definitely use their service again.

I absolutely love bringing my truck to Mr. Alfred! Hes honest, fair pricing, quick service, and very polite! He offers warranties on ALL parts purchased as well as the labor (never seen that ANYWHERE else). Estimates that he gives are right on the money, its never that much more than that (maybe $5 or less after adding tax). Even if he tells you the job will take a certain amount of time, it usually takes less time than that. He told me it would take two days to replace an engine seal, but I had it back the next day when I got off work. I will always bring him my vehicles. Great shop!

Kimberly was super helpful with working with my insurance and getting my car back to normal! She even saved me some money on my deductible. The insurance was giving me a hard time. Once i took my car in, she told me she would deal with them directly and she handles my claim from there. Will recommend to friend and family.

I never like giving my car to anyone because of all the bad experiences Ive had with dealerships and repair shops in the past. I can finally say that this streak has finally ended. I left feeling that I can completely trust in this business for my future needs. I also had a chance to meet the owners and their children, who were all very nice and personal. I can see why this repair shop has been in business for so many years.

We went here because our car broke down in a city we arent from, came here and were quoted a price lower than we were expecting and they finished it in a couple of hours (without us mentioning our situation). Repairs were done, car works fine now, and we were able to go home. Friendly staff too, I would highly recommend .

I had recently taken my car into a major chain where they not only did not put the part in I had paid them for and urgently needed, but the part they did put in was the wrong part, was too long and may have caused further damage to my car. They, H.A.R., put the right CV axle I needed at a very reasonable cost. They gave me an estimate to replace the wrong part the other shop put on for almost $100.00 less. They were very friendly yet professional.I am grateful they did such a thorough examine on the front and back of my vehicle . Otherwise, I would never have known the wrong part had been put on my car. I will be bringing my car back here for all repairs. The young lady even took pictures of the damaged CV axle they were suppose to have replaced on my vehicle for me. This shop is awesome. All the single ladies you need to bring your car HERE for a fair deal.

They repair my cars A/C, and it works but was left with a horrible noise. When I came back to have it check, they told me there is not noise. Again back when it stopped working. Not good sign. Nice people, but need more mechanics. Waiting time with your car or you waiting for long time.

I brought my car in after rear ending a truck that had a tow hitch. My insurance didnt cover the repairs and I had to pay everything out of pocket. I didnt know where to take my car since most places take advantage of the fact that im a woman and dont know much about cars. Luckily, I was referred to them by a friend. I initially brought it in only for the mechanical issues and didnt know that they also did body work. They replaced my radiator, condenser and front bumper for a really good price. I was very happy with my overall experience, from the customer service to the completed repairs. This will definitely be my go to mechanic shop.

People sometimes trust your inner feelings when something does not seem ok. I had zero to little confidence in small mechanic shops due to their history of duping customers or cutting corners to get money. I found this shop to be tusthworthy after a couple of visits back in 2018 however that trust has been broken afterall, and i do not plan to be there again. I took my used hyundai accent for repair due to emissions error code and after reading about the problem i bought O2 sensors, Cat converter, Purge valve and paid for not 1 but 3 separate labor charges, i took the car home after each repair hoping the error code will go away but not so. About 2 months or so i took the car back this March 2019 for repair with 4 different emissions parts including a 2nd Purge valve with harness and hoped the error code will be eliminated this time. Then paid for more labor charges as i expected. On sameday i picked the car i noticed not all the parts got installed and now im not even sure about the 1st Purge valve too, again in less than 2hrs an error was back on. The most frustrating part is i could have avoided contaminating the new O2 sensors and Cat converter with excess fuel injection due to a faulty Evap part all this time or maybe i could have stopped further repairs and bought another used car. So awful when you buy your own parts, pay for labor, waste your precious time and then someone gets to keep some of your parts. Its not okay at all when a business cuts corners especially with parts this sensitive, even if i had to pay more for labor at the big Dealership or other big shops that would have been worthy, I avoided going to the big shops due to excess labor charge but sometimes thats your best option when it comes to sensitive parts. People if you find yourself in any service business and there is poor communication or your issues are not been addressed with confidence its a sign that things are not okay. Many service businesses out there will take advantage of things anyday anytime because thats what we live with everyday, again trust your inner feelings when something does not seem okay, you will help yourself in the end.
