Incompetent and dishonest. Left my car with them for the day to get repaired and after a full day they completed none of the work. Told me there was no issue despite multiple lights on the dash and noticeable engine issues while driving. Took car to a different shop and they identified several issues right away. Look elsewhere. This place will waste your time and money.

Such deceptive business practices!!!Just a few days ago I called asking about service for my truck and spoke to a lady by the name of Christy. She was informative and so i decided to stop in and see what they could do for my ride. Before I went to the service center I read their reviews to find they had some nice solid reviews. I mean dont we all depend on good word of mouth? I stop in and speak with Christy and find that her name is Christy Lawrence. I recognized this name and stepped out to again read the reviews. Low and behold I found a 5 star review written by her as if she is a customer! WOW! I immediately left this place in my mirror. Any business that sets up their own deceptive reviews must have issues. Makes a person wonder how many of these great reviews are in fact truly customer reviews. Had no trouble marking this place off my map!I found a photo on Google with this service writer. Beware

I had an extended warranty claim I did with my vehicle and was treated beyond belief. (I guess I had some idea that I wouldn’t be a priority)Chris Beers and company are some straight shooters. Walked me through the process and kept me updated. My estimate was upwards of 1k, turns out some parts were needed so the price dropped drastically. They also resolved another issue I had that I couldn’t get the dealership to figure out! On top of that they even provided me a loaner vehicle. Car was returned in a few days shiny and clean. This team has given me great service for almost a decade now. I feel confident trusting them with my vehicle and recommending them to others. Their shuttle service and early drop off services help immensely to ease the sting of losing your car for a few hours for maintenance. And they vacuum and wash your car every visit which is almost worth it on its own.

They are very good about completing the repairs on time. This time I just had oil/ filter change and inspection.

If you like to throw hundreds of dollars away and leave with your car more damaged than it was before ...I recommend taking your car to these crooks!!I made the mistake by bringing my car there to have very minor work done. I had ZERO issues with my engine, only a rattling sound, that was a nuisance, that involved my exhaust valve, which was 40 bucks. They did a 4-wheel alignment, which was 300 bucks. My father was mechanic for over 40 years and he always told me that the labor costs should not exceed over 40% of material, so seeing as I passed the 4th grade, the total cost should of ran me around $480. NOT with this company! They charged me over $600 for labor, which brought the ridiculous total to almost $1000 dollars!!! If that wasn’t bad enough, the next day my car engine light came on and my vehicle started to run horrible (also my windshield had a long hair line crack across the passenger side) I called them and they wanted me to bring it back! I didn’t want to go into foreclosure with my house from losing all my money to these crooks, so I refused unless they assured me that I didn’t have to pay another dime. OF COURSE, they said they couldn’t promise that request. I didn’t even bring up the issue with my windshield, because I know it would of been a “he said, she said” issue. I explained the problem I was having with my car and said it was VERY coincidental that I’m having these issues when I didn’t before; and asked what they thought was wrong. AGAIN, they wanted me to bring it in. I took my car to Autozone and had a code check test done. I explained my issue with the Autozone employee and amazingly, he knew exactly what was wrong and fixed it for FREE!!! A part was manually unscrewed and was disconnected. I was told that this part should have never been messed with nor disconnected! It’s pretty sad that an Autozone employee was able to recognize and fix the problem over “professional technicians” at this place. I confronted this thieving company and was fed ridiculous excuses as to how this “mistake” was made..none of which I was buying!! All I was given, at the end, was just “I’m sorry.” It doesn’t take a genius to know when running a business is two things...honesty and making it right! They lack both qualities!!! I, however, do have these qualities! Therefore, I will be honest and warn people not to bring their car here and by doing so, I’m making it right!!!

Space Center Automotive and Service Adviser Chris Sanchez addressed our needs by offering advice and consultation before our vehicle was towed in for repair. Chris communicated thoroughly and positively with us on the phone, clearly explaining the technical problems of the vehicle, our options to address, and in so doing our family felt well taken care of.

Buyer beware! They will do like theyre experts, and they will charge you three times or more for parts they bought off market or refurbished, plus hold your vehicle for hours for labor revenues they didnt do. They are also chauvinistic, and will bully the males to a rage, do not fall for it. TURN AROUND AND DONT LET THEM TOUCH YOUR CAR. Absolutely deceptive. Im suing for a refund. Spare yourself the headache. And they lie to plunder your pockets, and many of the reviews here (just 1 review accounts) are fabricated accounts and reviews to prop their online reviews up. Better check their Harris County Court records as Space Center Auto, and you will get the mess clear before your eyes. Your rights to information!

Before my son left for college he had to get his car serviced and through referrals we were lead to Space Ctr Automotives. I cant say enough about Kerry he is one stand up guy. Not recommended due to questionable integrity.Yesterday, I went in for an inspection. Car failed the inspection. There was a terse conversation regarding the safety inspection of a car which breezed through safety the last two years, but Ill skip right to the problems regarding the emissions inspection.My car failed the emissions test, and I suspect it is because it hadnt been run in the three weeks prior to the test (we were out of state visiting family). I saw this happen over the summer after a vacation, and the condition cleared after a few days of driving. The mechanic who conducted the inspection thought my explanation was incorrect, and that there was a significant issue with the car that needed to be addressed in order for him to buy off on the emissions test. Im not saying there isnt a problem, but I dont think its enough of one to hold back a 2-door Ford Focus from driving 10 miles a day.They quickly offered to do the diagnostic ($110) to figure out the problem, and then any work that went into fixing it. Naturally, I said no thanks. After I left, I noticed at the bottom of my inspection report the fine print - if your car fails emissions, then the testing inspector should provide you with a list of Recognized Emissions Repair Facilities and a brochure of various waivers available. This wasnt done. In other words, they did not follow through on informing me that there are vouchers available to individuals with cheap cars (like me) who cant afford expensive emissions fixes on vehicles that have very little value.Today, I returned and asked why they hadnt shared this information. They said they were on the list of companies which participate in Air Check and thats why they offered to fix it on the spot. I asked if the $110 diagnostic could be rolled in with the voucher, and they said it couldnt - that it needed to be done beforehand. Since I had fixed the safety inspection items, I had them re-do the safety test knowing that emissions test would fail (to qualify for the voucher - you need to pass safety and fail emissions).Then I called Houston Air Check, and they said that it was not necessary for a diagnosis to be made first. All that was needed was the failed emissions test, salary documentation, and a couple other items. They also said they had no record of Space Center Automotive on their list of Harris County mechanics that participate in Air Check (remember, they said they were). To verify, I went to Houston Air Checks website and, lo and behold, Space Center Automotive is not listed - not only in Harris County, but in any county.All of this led me to think they wanted to secure work from me which could cost several hundred dollars because, according to Houston Air Check, the voucher I would receive is only usable at participating locations (which Space Center Automotive is not). This means they would not receive my business and would miss out on several hundred dollars in revenue. Maybe thats chump change to them, but its change nonetheless.Perhaps they simply didnt know what the Air Check program was (when talking about it, they had very little to say), but if thats the case, you dont make stuff up. You simply say, I dont know what that is, or, Interesting, I havent heard of that. Lying about matters which could help your customers is a poor business decision, but if folks arent willing to advocate for themselves or their automobiles, issues like this might never bubble to the surface. I will not do business with Space Center Automotive again, and I will recommend to all family, friends, and any individual I overhear talking about car problems the same.

Walked into this place after having an awful day with car problems. Luckily chris was there to talk to me about the issues with my car and took care of me every step of the way. I was back on the road that same day. My day got so much better. I HIGHLY recommend this place. Ask for Chris Beers. He seems honest and will take good care of you.

This place is a RIP off. 1000$ in parts. 100$ supplies fees and taxs fees. 800$ in labor. Wasted 2000$ in total. I dont know what they did but after I got my car back the check engine light showed up and the esp bac light and the car with tire tracks showed up. Didnt have that till after I got my car back from them. My regular mechanic could of done the work for half the price they charge. Didnt have a choice to go to this place I was out of town they was the closest mechanic around.
