Worst customer service ever. If you ever had an emergency and needed help, could luck with this one!!!! They NEVER answer phones for ANYTHING. There are better solutions out there!!!!!!!!!!!
Bad customer service and too expensive for what it is. Make sure that you get confirmations by email, because they don’t received request through their webpage if you are a customer. Changing to another supplier.
BEWARE: This has to be the worst company in the world to work with. They tried to cheat us on the contract from the very beginning... broke EVERY promise they have ever made. Of all of the things I have had to deal with in starting up a small business, this one company has added more frustration than even dealing with all the forms of state, Federal and Local Government we have had to work with. DO NOT TRUST THEM! Their equipment is garbage and expensive. Their techs either do not show up or come whenever they please and lie to you. They do not stand by what they install and expect you to fix it yourself. If I could, I would give them negative stars.
DO NOT GET PROTECTION 1. I would rate them a ZERO if I could. I called into customer service and they yelled at me for wanting to switch because of an upgrade. Terrible company who allows customer service to treat their customers like dirt.
DO NOT TRUST THEM.. They offered me $20.00 monthly plan and ended up charging me $48. They refuse to waive any fees. Billed me $75 for refund and wanted me to pay $750 cancellation fee. I basically gave them free money. Worst experience ever!!!!!
Protection One is the worst security alarm company we have ever had. The installation was a nightmare. They didnt keep their word with the door lock and phone application services that the sales representative sold us. They didnt have a proper door lock license. Beware of the long contract with terrible buy out that cost us over $1,000. They would not allow us to use service instead of the buy out. The service that they sell is overpriced at $60 per month when you can get it with other competitors for half that per month. We constantly had issues with the window alarms going off 2AM and they could never fix it. We had constant issues with the sensors, batteries, and equipment.
Not even worth 1/2 a star. The absolute worst service in the industry. of any industry. SERIOUSLY, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. you will be sorry if you do. a good company would try to help its customers with issues. this company insulates its management, you cant get ahold of anyone with authority, no matter how hard you try.
PLEASE DO NOT USE!!! I have had them a year, nothing but issues. First I have connection issues really bad. That means if my alarm goes off it will jot call the cops. Also the is a very loud noise that goes off when this happens. The Techs are Isley good but now they are using a 3rd party and the guy messed up my alarm when it does not read any of my sensors. Use the parent company ADT I am thanking about canceling the contract, but that will cost me a lot of money. They are cheap monthly but now I know why.
Do not use them. Yes, they are bought out by ADT, but do not. You will regret.. The worst worst customer service. You will not be protected. I wasted 7 years.
Shhh. Do you hear that? Its the constant beeping of my Protection One alarm. One of the sensors has gone bad. Sure, Ive called. And they even sent someone out here to fix it and, of course, he found nothing wrong so he just replaced the battery and left. Now its beeping again (and I know what youre probably thinking, its a different sensor -- and youre wrong bc the keypad is indicating the EXACT same sensor). So, I called them AGAIN, and someone is coming out TOMORROW. I asked if they could turn off the broken sensor bc my keypad wont let me bypass it. Nope. They cant do that. The security monitoring company CANNOT monitor your security. The chick basically told me too bad, so sad; youll just have to endure the constant chirping or reset it every five minutes. This is stupid and all the incentive I need to switch to Vivint.
DO NOT use Protection One, all of the added services they offer do not work as designed. I have had techs come out many times and I have spent hours and hours on the phone trying to get the doorbell camera to work but it still does not work! Finally I decided to cancel the service because I do not have time and Im tired of waisting money. Customer service is terrible and now they are charging me $500 for breaking my contract. DO NOT USE this company!!
In April 2015, Protection One showed up at our house claiming they were replacing Vivint. They promised to pay off our Vivint contract and charge less monthly. They replaced 2 panels and said the Vivint camera would work with their system. The camera did not work. About a month later they decided the Vivint contract was too much money so they came and took back their panel. We had thrown away the other one because of Protection Ones promises so we were left without a home security system. LUCKILY, a Vivint representative was at my job on a different matter and when I explained to the Vivint representative what had happened he came to my house the SAME DAY, installed a new VIVINT panel, FREE OF CHARGE and is going to replace the rest of the missing parts, FREE OF CHARGE.Save yourself some trouble and dont believe Protection Ones promises.
Worst company ever. I canceled this service more than 7 months ago. I continue to be harassed by this company and charged the monthly fee.
They refused to cancel the service after many months of trying over the phone and by mail because the home owner was elderly (96) and couldnt remember her password! Continued to add to each months bill in spite of the fact the house was empty and had no phone service for the alarm to go through. Still dealing with them, but they should be reported to the BBB or a state agency if they fall under the PUC.
1 star just because you cant give them 0 stars!!! Waiting all afternoon for someone to call me back to schedule service...its a joke!!
Worst Security Company in Houston, I wont ever recommend them, charge me for several months service on my business after I cancel, they promise me to refund the money they never did and in my house the sign me up for a new equipment and its been almost a year and system does not work correctly, ones they have you on a contract they dont care about customer satisfaction!
