I had a great experience at Frequency Car Audio with Gee! I watched the whole process from start to finish, and Gee took his time to make sure all the wires were secure, hidden, and functioning properly. He really knew what he was doing! He installed a horn, an amp, and 2 Memphis BR 12’s with the box. Everything was secure and mounted with precision, and I’m very satisfied with the volume output and clarity of my music now! I highly recommend checking them out if you’re interested in modifying your car audio!

I purchased wiring and harnesses from this location and the wiring was trash. I paid extra money for what I was told would be copper wiring but was given this copper coated tin wiring that melted and upon closer inspection realized what I had really gotten. Never going back to this audio shop. Faulty wiring can start fires and kill people so no thank you.

Whats sad is i use to come here all the time it’s been about 3-4 years since I been back give or take and the customer service went right down the fn drain walked in twice one employee is sitting down on her phone the other one you can tell he doesn’t really care not really helpful at all than he said I’ll get back to you on prices gave him my number (never got a call or anything) so the following day I go in the evening to see how much everything is and come to find out he didn’t even bother they was “ busy” but that same employee is still in the same spot I left her yesterday and let’s not talk about the attitude.... I’m really disappointed I’m so use to walking in here and getting helped right than and there but i won’t come back anymore and I use to tell everyone about this spot and they loved the work

First time visitor. Came in just shopping around for quotes not only did the beat my normal installers price they also switched my sub box to fit my car better. Great experience, excellent customer service. great prices, fast service. Will recommend Frequency to friends and family first.

Went here to get stereo and speakers with an amp. The stereo only plays on the rear channels and no sound out of front channels when switched to the front. All four speakers and sub play only on rear channels of the radio. I also asked for 25 percent tint on the front 2 windows and 5 percent tint on rear. They gave me what they thought looked good which is not what I paid for. Over 1000 worth of being bent over with no grease or kiss first. Do not have this place touch your car. They will half way install it and not honor any of there warranty. GO SOMEHERE ELSE I WARN YOU DECEPTIVE PRACTICE.

Staff is terrible. I would not recommend them to anyone. Please be advised that they have a no refund policy.. Paid for a radio and speaker installation. Radio was not install properly, paid a deposit on the speakers to be installed waited 5 days on some adapters 2 6x9s and 2 6s apon returning was informed that it would be 2 more days. Needless to say I took my business elsewhere..

Of I could give 0 stars I would. Ive been there 6 times and my alarm still doesnt work. My trunk release works for a few days then stops. The alarm only works for a few day then stops. They claim its because I drove a Ford. Now my car was in the shop because of a loud rattling. I paid $150 to find out if was my car alarm falling out of my dash board. AJ laughs. Hes a real piece of work. DO NOT GO HERE

Went here to get quote on $6000 plus custom system. 2 kids in the front were to busy making smart ass comments and I asked to deal with the owner and they took my info and never got a call. I guess it must be nice to not have to work at your job

Both my mother and brother have come to Frequency Audio for window tint so immediately when I decided I wanted window tint on one of my cars I thought of Frequency Car Audio. This place is a joke! AJ is a con artist and not a man of his word. These people putting up good reviews are only doing so because he ask you to do so over and over again at the store. They will over charge you and try to talk you in circles to get more money from you. definitely wont be coming here again!

I bought a full stereo system, headlamps and alarm system from them and when the wire for the sub could not handle the load i went back thinking they would simply change to a different gauge the under wanted to charge me to replace the wirehe used in my install. Am i wrong to think he should have used the correct wire in the first place? And if not just replace it .it caught on fire and i nicely asked him to change it. I will never use this shop again .

This place opens at 9am and I got there when it opens. I sat in the car for 20 minutes and nobody was there yet so I left. I called them about 10:30a and it just hangs up on you. I’m not sure if they went out of business... if they haven’t they need to go out of business and put up the sign. Straight garbage and waste of time.

I read a lot of these reviews and I must say, I have been doing business with AJ (The Owner) for years. He will make you the best deal he can. If you are a little shy on the money, He will personally let you have it on your word to pay him later. NO place DOES THIS.. These guys work on a lot of cars, 10 times the amount most shops do. Some of their customers are not the best people to do business with.. Ive seen drunks come into the shop, fights between customers, lots of interesting things go on when your business is car audio. Not too many suits and ties shopping during the middle of the day. Not to mention the customers who like to have a system installed only to go home and try and turn up the amps, and have their buddy adjust everything til something goes out. Then they come back, wanting it fixed free. Then they end up here, leaving a bad review of how the amp didnt work.

About as dysfunctional as it gets, folks...Absolutely preposterous and 100% deceivingI called to schedule an appointment with Keith and was told that they would call me back...It’s been more than a couple hours now and I have not received a call back.These people OBVIOUSLY do not care about their customer.So many mosquitos and maggots in the air it’s sickening.I even tried setting up an appointment on-line but their website is broken...I do not know why they would take all my information but not follow up... something has gone wrong in their brains to where they cannot function correctly anymore and I am afraid they may need help. If anyone cares please check them out and see if they want to donate their brains to science so that when they pass away one day,we can figure this out.I had no other choice but to go here, asked for a receipt but I didn’t get one....On top of that they like to work with cheeto fingers and have a bad attitude

Hello, ive been a frequent customer of Frequency car audio and Ive met the owner AJ, so far Ive had several deals and purchases made and this man will fulfill your requests and assist you in financing by any means to make sure you are satisfied with his products and work. Hes a great guy, hes actually offered me food the first time I was there and thats how I knew he was humble, the staff is friendly, and the wait is bearable but in the end its worth it, not to mention everything is warranted so if something burns out of stops working hell replace it without hesitation as long as you understand theres a S&H fee which is reasonable as if you were to do it for any other company out there.

Been coming here every time I get a new car they have the best tint quality available, been knowing the owner for a while and he always gets you the best pricing too !!

We came here to get lights and a sound system installed and the windows tint. We were here 6 HOURS!!!! And within those 6 hours, they never tinted the windows. The guy said he Forgot!!! They are nice people with good deals but severely Understaffed and not knowledgeable of their work. never been so furious with a place

I recently purchased a 2015 white camry and i needed some upgrades done. I had them install infinity speakers all around along with a sub amp and a speaker amp and a 12 inch sub with cap, they tied everything intro the stock touch screen head unit. They even let me bring my own parts. They do great work and i couldnt imagine taking my car any place else. There prices are very reasonable and the customer service is exceptional! They werent happy until i was happy so i couldnt ask for anything else. I only wish i would have gotten my windows tinted there but lesson learned. Thank you everyone for taking such great care of me and i look forward to doing business with you in the future.

I went to this place because they had a good deal and I was putting in all new mephis speakers and redoing all my car audio. I went with all of there high end mephis products. I also had them tent my car window. When putting in a Optima battery they modified my car so it would fit. Later I had to change out all the terminals and everything because they did it wrong and jacked it up. Why would you modify a battery instead of just buying or getting the right one to fit. Looking at my car later they broke certain things trying to fit speakers in. They did not ground any saying properly or protect the wires so the feedback would not be strong. They seem like they are honest in the beginning and in the end they cut corners and dont care about your car. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are better Car Audio places than frequency. You would be better off going to Best Buy.

Place is ok, the main room is super dark like theyre trying to hide something and they arent the quickest to help when you walk in the door. That seems to be a car audio shop thing...their sister shop near Jones/1960 is the same way. They charge quite a bit for basic labor. Their in-house fabbed subwoofer boxes are going to cost you $$$$, a box of similar or better quality and also made from 3/4 MDF is going to be much much cheaper from a business that sells online.

I bought a truck and i was searching for a good deal to install a system, i visit 2 3 places but i found the best deal in frequency, they guys really hook me up and installation was professional too.

Great guys they took care of me and several customer that came in that day, 2 of those customers were repeat clients. Quality tint work and film. Their speakers selection is mostly memphis but mixed with other good brands. I did not see any trash bargin brands. The owners very cool the guys seem knowledgeable about the alarm systems. Only downside is the prices but for NiB items from authorized retailers is always a good thing over used pawn shop, flea market( the shady ones), or ebay. Various size Boxes various material and carpeted / fabric. I didnt ask but i believe they can do custom work for extra money.Brought my own film only because i wanted a darker green tint from a company i used before they installed it they dont usually do it for warrany reasons and too much variation from product to product but it came out okay so far. While there a few customers returned with minor problems the guys helped them on the spot no problem small fixes.

The costumer services is very bad. I had to wait almost 1 hour for the owner to open the place. He told me that he will give me an estimated for my radio system, it never came that and my car wasnt on time. I had to went to my job in uber because of that. And then he give me a bill that I didnt expect. You cant do that, people need to know what they going to pay before.

Deserves 0 star. Worst car audio place I ever been to. The guy AJ that runs is it will tell you anything to make money. While I was waiting on my car, at least four previous customers were bringing their car back with problems. Me and another guy were there for 8 hours when he said it will only take 2-3 hours. He told me he was also going to sell me a brand new memphis capacitor and during the installation he switched it with a used no name brand capacitor. When I got home and found out about the switch he made the next day I went back and confronted him about it. He tried to make me pay for the cap I already paid for. I can go all day about the problems I went through at that place. Im giving yall fair warning, if you give this place a chance you will be highly frustrated. STAY AWAY!!!

Came in to see AJ for my HID fog lights replacement. He was very informative and told me what options I had to replace them. Ended up replacing my HIDs for some LED lights (which wont melt in this Texas heat). I got to watch as the tech installed them and explained what he was doing. Installation process took about an hour. AJ is who you need to talk to! Hes honest and really goes the extra mile to make sure his customers are happy!

Aj is a threif ask him to check wireing new something was wrong with ground he replaced my fuse with a 3 dollar one and charges 35$ for and did one cable reconnect on ground and wants to charge 40 for labor .your guys didnt do but one thing 5 mins . beware will try to up sell you try to tell me he could one check it right with new cap told him check without a cap at all see if amp works . response was um I guess we could do that.

Went there to get an Amp installed for my speakers on my 04 dodge ram truck AJ the owner quoted me $250 for a 4 channel amp with all new wires for the speakers Sense it was my first time going there he also said he was going to upgrade the amp for a more better and stronger amp so I agreed to have the work done that was a big mistake I had some entry level kickers and asked if he had something better he said yes he showed me the Memphis pr told me that they would sound alot better and are more powerful so I had them change all 4 speakers in have 2 6x9 in the front and 2 5 1/4 in the back once every thing was installed I tested out the system and the rear speakers sounded like they were busted I got off and went to let them know. the installer had set the rear outputs as subs and almost busted them. Once that was taken care of a few hours later I was getting my tools and discovered that one of my drills was missing. It was a Milwaukee impact m18 with the Milwaukee M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion XC 4 Ah Extended Capacity Battery. I call AJ and it took me a total of 25 calls just for him to answer the phone. When he finally answered he said that he would investigate but he would need about a week. I told him that I dont have time for that and I need my tools back. It took him 3 days and he went to buy me a used one at a pawn shop ErraNds that he wouldnt be able to get me the battery is was pissed off cause the battery cost me $130 well now I have issues with the speakers the have bad connection not only that I went somewheres else and discovered that they didnt run new wires to the speakers they spliced into the factory wires and the amp is an old model its a sony expod from 2007. I am very disappointed with there work. If possible look for another place to get a system

DO NOT let these people touch your vehicle. Long story short they dont care about your car and sometimes dont know what they are doing. Ended up having to take my car to the dealer to fix a computer they shorted out in it (my windows wouldnt roll down, seats wouldnt move, ac wouldnt come on) and they DO NOT stand by their work, completely denied and refused to fix my car. I also heard a customer complaining of them driving their car they dropped off to have work done to it. ( He took a picture of his milage before he dropped it off)
