DO NOT COME HERE. Extremely poor customer service. I was very respectful during my visit but whoever the older guy was must not care about customers. Then I called over the phone to confirm product specifics, he told me one thing, and was a totally different conversation soon as I showed up in person. Would not recommend.
They are super friendly and very nice. That being said I went there and had a backup camera installed because I was nervous about splicing wires. The price to install was great. When it was done one of the wires wasnt long enough to plug in so I had to get one. After I got the wire and plugged it in not only did the camera not work but my driver side tail light wasnt working nor did the button to open my trunk. I went back to see if they could fix the problem but of course they couldnt. So I had 2 new problems and a camera that doesnt work.

This place is a scam, if you did not know they update a online company called installers.com in which I purchased a dash kit, the day following I was informed that they did not have the item and I needed to talk to Eddie about getting a refund. Ive sent 15 emails and yet to recieve a reply. I called and the guy I spoke to said that he didnt work in the same room as Eddie, when I asked him to walk to the room where he was at so I can ask for a refund he told me he wasnt allowed too? And then said to not count on getting my money back. In which I said why? I feel like Im being swindled here? And thats when he said he cant comment any further and hung up the phone. Ive now reported this company to the BBB, Google, PayPal, and via for fraudulent sales.

Beware of the grumpy old man. Their technician literally got mad at me for not wanting to install what he said I should install on my car. He yelled at me and ran to the back like a child.
Used to do good work, my father used to talk of the quality work they did a long time ago. I went here for an install of a backup camera and a ham radio. Nothing was working 100% out of the box, so I went to take a look at the install. The quality of work was so bad I didn’t even call them to fix it. Please call them if you want leaks in your car from lazy routing of wires, a constant rattle in your dash and more broken then when you brought it in. I’m sure they can do a good job, they just choose not to. If you like paying for a job to get done, then having to redo the job yourself this is the place for you.
Had an OEM stereo with a busted digitizer. Everyone else told me the radio had to be replaced while RO Stereo suggested screen replacement. It was 1/3 of the cost of replacement of stereo.They did a great job with the work and helping customers with cost conscious recommendations.
While getting my vehicle ready for daily trips to the Doctor for my cancer therapy, one of my needed repairs was a broken speaker. Eddie Runner, the owner took care of me. It was a fast, affordable repair. Of all the things on my plate coming up, that is no longer a problem. Its amazing how something so simple can make you forget how bad things could be, if you can get lost in some music during long hours and days commuting to and from something which could be so depressing. Definitely Recommend!

Do NOT let Eric work on your vehicle. I took in a Mercedes G550 to have BlackVue cameras installed, 2 subs and two amps. I was overcharged for starters, over promised on the completion date, and my airbag lights had to be reset by the Mercedes dealership. In addition, my front driver seat wasn’t reinstalled correctly, so that had to be fixed as well. Eric is an arrogant liar, and is not someone you’d want to give a dime to. The manager/owner was a 7 out of 10 in resolving issues, but he’s all about the money too. Go elsewhere, this shop has probably seen better days, but no longer. Run!
Made a phone call just see how I could get an Aux input installed. And the associate calling was extremely rude. Definetly don’t like how they treat people who are bringing buisness to their door. Definetly using another place.

After no other place in Houston had a stereo connector compatible with my car, Blake and Richey, was able to get it right the FIRST TIME! They are extremely helpful and easy to talk to, to gain information about car audio and get your stereo best sounding poasible! Highly recommend these guys!! Cant get no better!
I had an aftermarket stereo stolen from my 2007 Toyota Matrix. Thankfully, another family member had an extra Sony stereo. River Oaks Car Stereo did an install quickly and it works great.

I had 2 kicker comp c 10” subs installed here and it was great service, the installer was very nice and they gave a reasonable price. 10/10 would recommend for any car audio needs.
Installed stereo system and back up camera. Neither one worked properly after four attempts by the shop to rectify the problem. Quality of work and inability to follow directions is an issue and I cannot recommend anyone use this shop for anything.

I purchased 2 blackvue DR 750 2ch cameras with a blackvue Power Magic battery pack with installation for over $1600. I owned it for 9 days and had been back and fourth to river oaks car stereo 5 of the nine days to get the cameras to work. Being knowledgeable of apps and $10K in Canon, Nikon and Sony Full frame systems. Which Blackvue uses Sony sensors.When I asked to return the cameras the owners said no and that he’s never given a return or refund since he’s been in business for 30 years. The owner told me to come back every day if I needed to to get it adjusted; that was unacceptable! He said that I had a lifetime warranty on installation and adjustments but NO REFUNDS! On a product that only worked correctly 30% of the time. Technician Eric is cool; but the rest of the staff needs 101 Customer Service Care Training! Spend more and go elsewhere! THESE GUYS ARE TERRIBLE!!! I never write reviews about any business but for these guys I will/am. They are very rude and essentially thieves. I bought a product from them that they said would 100% work on my BMW vehicle and guaranteed it. Not only did the man tell me it would work for certain but he made me out to be stupid and that I didnt know what i was doing. I left and went to install the item and I could not get it to work. I went back to return the item and the guy told me it was the wrong part. At this point I began to believe they did not know what they were talking about so he laughed at me and showed me another part to buy instead without replacing it outright. He said because it was an open item they wouldnt exchange. Keep in mind the initial guy said the part will work for sure while making me feel stupid. They basically wanted me to buy another part that probably wont work and make me feel stupid again. I ended up just leaving wondering how these guys are even in business. As I was leaving i realized it was a bunch of older folks that dont know much about their cars (like me) and they just keep stealing their money. These guys a fat scumbags. As I said before, Ive never written a review but I felt that this business was so unethical that I needed to express how I feel. I really hope nobody goes to these people for business. Sorry but I will never think about coming here again.

I ordered a part online and was pleasantly surprised to get an instant email response and confirmation. The email assured me that the part would be sent out quickly because, and I quote, We are known for our very fast shipping, you should see your items in a few days. So I felt satisfied, and didnt worry about it.Five days pass and I decided to check the status of my order and see if there was a tracking number. Turns out the order was still being processed. But I had already been charged for the piece the minute I put the order in. I emailed the store, as instructed to do so if anything goes wrong, to ask what the problem, if any, was. There was no reply, so I waited another day for a response. Still nothing.I decided to call them and see if I could get any answers there. A man picked up and asked, Whaddya need? I told him I had a part that should be being delivered to my place of residence and he said, Oh, well we havent gotten the piece in for that yet. Were still waiting for it to come in. I was just about to email you. How convenient. I asked for clarification, So its been 6 days and you havent even gotten the part yet? And didnt feel the need to tell me? Especially after giving you my money already? Im a little shocked since you guys have such a reputation for fast deliveries. He said, Yeah, well were still waiting for it.I told him that I needed it fairly soon, and that I would just like a refund because I could get the part somewhere else. He said, No, thats not gonna happen. See you cant find this piece at too many other stores. I told him that I had a link open on Crutchfield right now with a guarantee that it was in stock, and would be shipped in 3-5 days, and that Id really just like a refund. He said, yup, and hung up instantly. I was a bit offended considering I was a paying customer; not even a potential paying customer. They already took my money! Doesnt that mean I should get some form of respect? Maybe thats wrong of me.I found it a little ironic that as soon as I complained and wanted my money back, they were incredibly fast at answering my emails.
I got them to put in an alarm and backup camera for my pickup. Spotless installation and really helpful guys, especially the owner Eddie.

Called to see about installing my 1st ham radio and couldnt get an estimate even when providing any details and factors used to make an estimate. When I asked if they could give me just a ball park estimate, the guy started naming ball parks like Fenway, etc. and said What, thats not funny? I said not when I have to drive 60 miles to get an estimate. I then asked if their store hours and if I drove there tomorrow and we agreed on an estimate, if I could get it installed at that time. He said that there were people on a stand by waiting list, so probably not. If the person that talked to me actually worked for me, I wouldnt let him answer my business phone ever, and would likely fire him for being so rude to a potential customer. These people may be the very best in what they do, but even if they were, Id never do business with them after the way I was just treated on the phone.

Showed up early for my 10/19/17 10:15am install appointment. Everything seemed fine until after 20min of sitting in there store I walked out to my car so I can show the installer where all the components are in my vehicle. They hadn’t moved or looked at my vehicle. That’s when the installer told me he was behind in work and basically canceled my appointment on the spot. I took my key and left. I called the office to see what they could do for me after I explained what happened. His first response was “hey I just work here!.” He explained one of his installers had to take his kid to surgery and I guess meant they were down an installer. He then told me they had an appointment open 2more weeks from now on Nov 3. I said I had an jeep event 27-29th. He said there was no way to fit me in before then if I wanted to complain call his boss next week when he would be back at the office. Shop couldn’t handle giving me a call to let me know they couldn’t accommodate my appointment. The attitude (not from the installer but from the guy who answered the phone) was careless as if he didn’t care about his job there. I called the shop before I posted try to have the shop make right with canceling my appointment on the spot. I am extremely displeased I thought my system is going to be installed before my jeep event. I’m just very disappointed that I can’t rely on the shop.
I took my car there to get a reverse/backup camera installed. The quoted price of $1,350 was reasonable, so I had them install it. Unfortunately, the camera caused my cars display to malfunction on a regular basis. It would give me a no signal error. So I couldnt see my audio or phone controls. Over the next 2-3 months, I had to return my car to their shop 5-6 times for the same problem. Angelo kept saying that hed try one more thing to fix it. But those one more things never worked. Ultimately, I thanked him and his team for trying so hard to make it work, but decided that there had been enough attempts, and I wanted them to take it out and issue a refund. Angelo agreed to take it out but wouldnt give me a full refund. He demanded that I still pay for $200 for their labor. This was extremely frustrating because I had spent probably 8-12 hours of my life going back and forth to their shop (and waiting at their shop) for a malfunctioning camera, plus about $150 on Uber fares. Those fares really added up because sometimes theyd have my car overnight, and Id have to take Uber to and from work. If anything, they should have given me that $200 for my time and expenses. Angelos response was that, this is how all of the other car accessory companies do it. So basically, he said that its ok for them to screw me out of $200 because other companies screw their customers over too. I definitely would not recommend this place.
These guys do nice work at a fair price, and they make sure youre happy with it. I had a head unit and sub installed recently, and had them do another install a couple years back.
I had these people install a ham radio in my truck and installation went well until it came to mounting the antenna on left side of the hood. The installer did no loop the coax so it went under the hood so it was pinched when closing the hood.Later, I discovered the signal was weak and brought the truck backSo now, Eddie got involved and instructed the installer to reroute the cable so it was no longer pinched and further had to tell him to band the coax to make it more secure. So, I left again and thought the problem was solved. Unfortunately, the original installer did not even notice that two allen screws that held down the antenna were we missing. So, I don’t he tried tighten them or even cared.So, I call Eddie again and explained the situation and told him I did not want to bring back the truck for a second time. He basically, argued with me and refused my request that he mail me two allen screws. In my opinion, Eddie did not take ownership of the problem. I told him that I would complain and basically he said that’s your propagative.I dont know if I will come back or be welcome. Now, I have to go find the damn screws and fix it myself. So, if you let them install something you better keep your eyes peeled or you might find your self going back two time to get something done right the first time. Had driven over there for third time I am sure they would have fixed it, but really is that anyway to do business?
Horrible. I bought a sub from there, which was a rockford. Paid 90 dollars for it, and it blew the next day. They told me I had a one year warranty, so I took it back, they said they would have the new one there the next day. I call the next day saying that I was going to pick it up, and they say they were not going to make a trip to their warehouse to replace a single subwoofer for a customer. They would have to make a substantial trip for other needs, and as a SIDE JOB pick up my sub. So thursday comes around (sub was purchased on monday), and they say its there. I tell them I will turn the gains and bass boost down on my amp, and hopefully it wont blow. My amp RMS 2 ohms at 250 watts and the sub RMS at 250 watts, so I wired it to 2 ohms. I asked if it did blow again, if they would exchange it for me, and I was told yes but theyll probably be pissed off Im bring 2 blown subs back to them. So, it blows, and then I call and they say the first time they exchanged my sub as a courtesy, and the sub would have to be sent to rockford. I call rockford and am told they are not an authorized dealer and that the warehouse they love to talk about isnt even owned by them. They did not live up to their word. CJ sound or AZ stereo are way better. The only reason I didnt go there in the first place is because the sub I wanted, they didnt have in stock.
