My fiancee and I were shopping for saris and kurtas for our bridesmaids/groomsman at our fusion wedding. Roop Sari Place by far had the widest selection of the boutiques in the area, and the sales people were much more pleasant than other places and the prices were good too. We custom ordered our 12 total outfits and they came in about 3 months. When we got them, they all fit and were the correct measurements and everything looked wonderful! We drove all the way from Austin to come here and are more than happy with the experience. Would definitely recommend to others

I love this place for jewelry! Only reason they are getting 4 stars is because their prices have increased TREMENDOUSLY over the past years. What used to be 10-20 bucks is not 40-80 bucks. I understand business! It was just great to get beautiful jewelry for cheaper prices! Still are my number one go to spot!

Needed a shalwar khamees and matching vest and the lady was very helpful in finding the right combo I was looking for in my size. One of my items, which was white, had some dirt/dust stains in them so the owner gave me a small discount. Ill be back if I ever need anything else.

Large collection of Indian clothes for all ages. It may look small from outside look. But, it is a palace for clothing. Price might be affordable and you have an option to choose from large varieties of design. It also sell accessories such as stud, bangle and others.

I love, love, love that store. It has a huge variety from light party to heavy wedding outfits from South Asian cultures. One stop shop for holiday or wedding shopping. The owner is always present, aware and involved, which I really appreciate and his wife is also super sweet, but above all the staff is very helpful and attentive to your needs especially Atiqa in jewelry and Shehla in clothing.. please ask for them and you wont be disappointed. They dont push you or chase you rather they genuinely understand what your style requirements are and find that exact piece.

Out of all the places Ive been to, roop sari is literally the best place to shop for your loved one. A very super sweet Lady named Majda helped me decide exactly what I needed since Im not too good at shopping for ladies but she read my mind and knew exactly what I needed. Shes such a sweet heart I would highly recommend her to everyone. Sending all my friends and family just because of the way she treated me. She just made a lifetime customer ! 10/10 service. Wide selection. Good location in Hillcroft. All sales are final, no return, no exchange. Fitting rooms are available for trials. Some associates are helpful while others make you feel their displeasure if you ask them to show a bunch of items, especially sarees. Alteration can be done within the store by independent tailors. Same day pickup available for simple alterations. Bridal bangles, earrings, necklaces, footwwears etc available for the ladies. Mens sherwani suits, Kurtha pyjama and Juthis are also available.

Customer service is very poor. I asked about the price of an outfit on a mannequin and the employee replied ‘it’s very expensive’. I walked away from her and asked another employee the price of another outfit. Her reply was ‘that’s for a bride’. Shocking!!! Never been treated like this at any other store. Not going there again. I don’t want to spend a penny there.

The employees and owner at this establishment are extremely rude and have terrible customer service. The materials they sell will break or come apart right away, so you are wasting your time and your money. They employees and owner demonstrate offensive behavior and have very poor manners. If I could give them zero stars I would. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

Went shopping for outfits for an Indian wedding. The lady was very helpful and I needed an alteration and it was done in an hour for $25. The jewelry counter lady fitted me and my friend for bangles and helped us pick out what would look best. They were all great, they made it into a mini party almost. :)

Nice folks. Great service but you pay a little bit more than other places. Incredible selection, even for guys. The two on-site tailors are very convenient and reasonably priced.

I had them custom design my dream wedding dress! They took my measurements and preferences and sent them to India where they designed my dress, and then I was fitted for it, they did tailoring, and I got my dress! It was an awesome experience, they helped with the tailoring, and stayed true to their prices at the final payment! It was awesome to get that huge piece of my day handled so well!

Yeah there is a 50% discount storewide but many of the items had lost or missing sequins. Not like the last time we were there. Had to walk out empty-handed😌😣😞

We purchased my daughters dress back in April for her senior prom. She wanted to be different and stand out. So we set off to Houston early one morning and this store was the first one we stopped at. Large selection an even the stuff on clearance was good. Someone helped the whole time and we even found her head jewelry there. We got a little alteration done also before we left.Plus she was the talk of prom and won Prom Queen. Gorgeous dress it sparkled as she walked and fit her perfectly. Thanks

Freindly staff, great prices and a really large selection of Attire.. love it. but they need to expand their sizes. They only go up to 48-50. So if you are looking for that size, they wont have it.

Very pleased with the service at this location. The Ladys that have waited on me have great tastes and great at picking out what i like and asked for. The ladies at the jewelry counter always pick the best bangles and jewelry for all my Indian outfits. Plan on bring all my wedding party here! Great selection and great prices. The alterations are at great prices as well. Cant say enough good things about this location! So happy i found this store!

If i could give a zero star i would. These people sell low quality dresses that loose their colors and prints after one wash. Lady told me you can return the dress within one week if size do not fit however. They denied to give me any refund saying i have worn it when i did not even wear and as soon as i got the exchange done they hung that dress back knowing it was not worn . The store employees do not help you and they have wrong size tags posted on dresses. Please be aware.

Easily my favorite place to buy traditional South Asian clothing. Prices are great and the clothes look amazing.

They have a very large selection of Desi clothing. You will have to look through the lines of hung clothes to find what you are looking for. The prices very. They dont like to negotiate on the prices much. I dont think they take returns either. You better like what you bought. Think about it before buying.

I cannot recommend Roop Sari Palace enough. We went to a few other stores in Hillcroft before, only to be disappointed. Roop Sari Palace is a much larger store with so many options for men/women/kids ranging from bridal level to everyday wear. They have a private area on the side just for the bridal wear with great lighting, a changing room, fancy couches, and full length mirror. And they had so many more options than anywhere else we had gone!Two wonderful ladies helped us find the perfect bridal lengha for me. Unlike other places, they weren’t pushy at all. In fact, I had really enjoyed the first lengha I had tried, which was one of the most expensive options, but they pushed me to try on others that were much cheaper. I ended up selecting a golden lengha that I never would have chosen to try on without their urging that was absolutely stunning on me. They even helped me find the perfect jewelry set to match and took my measurements for their in house tailor to fit my blouse. I had a wonderful experience at Roop Sari Palace and recommend it to any South Asian bride looking for attire and/or jewelry.

Worst experience ever please go else where. All we needed was a simple alteration on a 150 dollar dress we bought from them. First the lady said a day we called then she said next week. Called back she said give her an hour. I went to check on the dress to findher sitting in her office not doing anything. The dress just hanging with no work done to it. You would think she would be in there working hard swamped with orders. After we talked to the manager she says it would take 15 minutes. If it only takes 15 minutes why wasnt the dress completed within the time frame she told me? I was through at this point I got my money back for the alteration Please dont waste your time with this place there are other places around the area that sale the same style dresses.

The employees need to fix their behavior to the costumer and they won’t let us exchange our clothes even if the quality is bad and it won’t fit and we requested if we can exchange it.So basically I wasted my money on it and the clothes are just a wasted cuz I’m not going to wear it.

If I could give this place a 0 star I would. Awful customer service. I first got told very rudely by a man how it wasnt okay that I came to a store without a bridal appointment. I flew in that morning from the Midwest so I didnt know the time. Then after not acknowledging me for five minutes I walked away to find other help. This woman tried to help me after I had to ask. She only spoke Hindi to me which I said many times I didnt understand. She wouldnt take out certain lenghas out of the bag for me to look at because she said they were too heavy. I probably couldve found something to buy there but they didnt deserve the sale. HIGHLY recommend Silk India for GREAT customer service and getting EXACTLY what you want.

Amazingly rude staff. No price tags on some items - tell some price and charge you more for the same item (caught this after a week of purchase).Accidentally my American friend left ear rings at the counter - then I called - very rude response on phone, we havent found the ear rings, we will call if we find anything, we dont know anything about it. Found it our self when we went back to shop on the same place where we left. The management didnt even care to check if the ear rings were there when I called.Awe-full experience - will not recommend it to anyone.

Lot of stuff but pretty meh and seemed a little dated... the ones that were really worth buying seemed a little overpriced. I got a way better deal at Manyavar Mohey across the street.

Decent selection but dont go here if you like to be left alone while you shop or you dont do well with employees pressuring you to buy (since the employees work off of commission). My friend and I went shopping here for her cousins wedding. Selection is good but pretty expensive, didnt find much within my friends budget. We found a lehenga we liked but the dupatta was torn. Rather than taking the time to try to show us other dupatta options to pair it with, they tried to sell us the torn dupatta but saying they could fold/stitch it to hide the tear. Why would we be spending so much time/effort to buy something brand new thats already damaged???

DO NOT GET ALTERATIONS HERE.A lot of their stuff is overpriced, but the big rip-off is if you try to get alterations done. They charge you up front and then take you to the lady in the back. She then goes on and on about how complicated the work is so she tells you it will cost more. I went back to get the outfit and the difficult work shed went into detail about hadnt even been done and then asked for more than shed even told me the first time. Im Indian and got ripped off, I cant imagine what they do to non-Indians.

They always have a good selection of indian Shalwar Kameez. They have the most affordable saree collections in hilcroft. Occassionally they have nice jewelry sets. But this place is always on the list when taking people from out of town who want to buy desi clothes.
