Poor customer service. You have a better chance with online raffles than going to the stores for releases because they back door sell all their products. This location is unfair and one of the lady staff that works there was rude to everyone. Went here for a release and she decided to cancel the release and not even sell the product the day of the release. She threaten to call the cops when there was no disturbance nor were we waiting at the store door. Literally the workers here are so entitled.

I have been an avid and consistent Social Status shoppers since 2014 at the Charlotte,NC location. There is no chain of command, no set standard or system across the company & it’s like chasing your own tail just to have a conversation with leadership only to end up getting no resolution & no call back. Piss poor customer service. They only want your commission.

I hope that the people realizes that Social Status is a business, and its their job to pay the rent. So they might backdoor shoes for the good of the store. I dont think people understand the opportunity of choosing whether to stay open or close down because you didnt seize the opportunity to make money. Business is business. Its also their pair of shoes, they have the discretion to do what is necessary for them.

Its a tough life.Social status provides another option in the city of Houston to get your exclusive kicks.Yes, they may have fumbled with the yeezy raffle by saying it was one day and changed it to another.And yes just recently, because of rain, they made yet another change to the date-that may have left a lot of people out, who were depending on the information and made the choice to brave the weather and make it to Houston from another city.But they also showed that they actually care and are willing to make adjustments to the benefit of their customers and that is something that cannot be ignored.They have just started and are acclimating to the Houston climate and from what Ive seen so far from their corporate and management team, these guys are going to be a staple here for the sneaker community.Thank you Ted and his team here for their great service and support. I received a pair of $250 pailful Yeezzy’s as a gift. Unfortunately they were to small, the individual that purchase the shoes provided me the receipt. On the receipt it states “at this time they are not able to provide refunds or exchanges. I contacted the store to see when this restriction will be lifted and once lifted will I then be able to exchange the shoes. I was advised no they will not.I believe this is very unfair practices. I respect due to the COVID-19 we are all struggling, but I believe this is unacceptable practices. We are all trying to make it here, and are incurring hardship. I promise I wii inform all my friends and family do not purchase with this establishment.Concerned individual

Lady claims you have to have an appointment to come inside the store just to even look around. Looking through the window the store is completely empty. Go to the website to book an appointment they are full till tomorrow which makes no sense because nobody is there.

Honestly a waste of time if you enter anticipated raffles, they will all be backdoored anyway, why waste your time. Garbage staff that treat you like trash, no greetings or anything. I tried to be cool with them but all of them give you the stare when asking questions.Don’t go to social status for raffles, go if you want to buy a brick shoe that’s worth less

Horrible Business! They’ll do anything to make themselves money. It’s not just the employees backdooring shoes . The owners are in on it and fake raffles just to make themselves profit. They waste hundreds to thousands of people’s time just to simply not show any proof of contacting anyone about whether they were chosen or not. They back doored so many pairs of the Travis Scott 1’s it’s crazy. Hope someone does something about this

All Cap. Please dont waste your time and gas money for their in store raffle. If its a shoe that bricked theyll contact you for sure all right cause they cant make money off the shoe. But if its a highly anticipated shoe forget about even trying. They have been seen multiple times putting in fake raffle tickets and hire there own security to kick people away because they dont want to get caught. Dont give them business. Horrible staff never greets you when you come in. Overall horrible experiences every time. Houston Location/Charlotte locations are the worse.

!I was skeptical about this company until this most recent raffle. Whenever I go into the store they are always the worst. Always. My lady and I went To enter a raffle and didnt even get any confirmation email. Ive never entered a raffle that didnt confirm me entering. They are def backdooring releases and major restocks for themselves. I will never even walk past this shop on that strip anymore. Snakes

They have no clue what they are doing there. And they backdoor to themselves . They only enter friends/family into raffle and lie that they entered you into their “raffle”. You will never get a confirmation email saying “thanks for entering “ because you were never entered.

This place is not professional. Before visiting, I called multiple times and never got answers. There are plenty of poor reviews and I am worried I won’t get my Travis Scott Jordan’s tomorrow - although Nike SNKRS app says my pair will be waiting. I called again while I was on the shop, there wasn’t even a phone ringing. I’ll change my review if I encounter no issues tomorrow 6/8/2018.No greeting and no help upon entering - better improve service if they want the rich kids of city centre

The best sneaker spot in Houston. Period. They have all the latest drops, best streetwear (bape, supreme, offwhite, stone mount), and the customer service is great. Don’t waste your time at other stores like sneaker summit or tipping point. This is the store to go to for drops and latest gear. Keep it up social status!!

This place is very suspect on availablity of merchandise. Levi Jordan retro 4 release was horrible! The shop employees were giving out the wrong information. The employees stated first come, first serve basis. However, the employees now allegedly states a fake raffle has to be done. The shop created a contentious moment for sneakerheads by calling out sheriffs department to exasperate the cold sneakerheads. No SHOES nor merchandise is worth my dignity.

Best selection of high end streetwear and top tiered releases in Houston.

Before Social Status opened there has been no place in Houston for limited adidas/nike releases to be acquired. Having them close, in city center, has been amazing. Its awesome place for sneakerheads and hypebeast alike. Although many have been quick to judge them for how they handled recent sneaker releases, they have helped the sneaker community in Houston more than most other stores. A+

First experience and last experience! This had to be the worst Jordan release I have ever attended. Not only was it bogus and misinforming, but very unorganized. I believe they never had any Jordan Levis Retro 4s from the beginning. It is my belief that the shop use this as a ploy to lure true sneakerheads to a limited and mediocre shop in order to create some business. However this back fire! The owner or manager created a bogus raffle drawing and had the sheriffs department dispersed to try to muscle the cold and mild manner sneakerheads who were patiently waiting. It is obvious this shop is incapable of producing and takes pleasure in disappointing potential customers.

Worst case of backdoor merchandise for new releases. Don’t waste your time with raffles or first come first serve releases. All they will do is keep the shoes themselves by announcing a fake raffle last minute. There’s even a cop that works with them to disperse crowds in case things get out of control.

Deff backdooring kicks that are worth more on resale. Save your time with raffles, they seem like they dont even put your info in the system. Whack.

I was the 7th or 8th person in line at 4am for the Jordan 4 x Levis collaboration. I stood outside in the cold until 12:25 pm just to fill out a fake raffle ticket and to look in the store only for a couple minutes to then get forced to leave by the Sherriff who was working there. The Sheriff, the man working with the Sheriff and an employee or store owner of Social Status conspired with each other to get 50-60 people to fill out fake raffle tickets while they cut a deal with each other. It was so obvious. The previous people who came lined up before me were told to leave the property by the same officer multiple times before 2 am Wednesday morning stating that there was a raffle sign up for Friday and Saturday and that we were too late to sign up when clearly us sneaker heads have been calling and inquiring since Friday and they stated it was first come first serve. Also on the Social Status Instagram page it was also stated first come first serve for in store pick up. At 11:40 am the same officer came to conspire again that the raffle tickets were gone already and that we should go home. However, we stood in our single file line. Then finally the officer and the man in charge of the officer (so it seemed) talked with each other for a bit and realized we werent going anywhere so they went inside the store to come up with another lie with the employee/store owner. The. The employee /store owner came and specified that we missed the raffle drawing due to the bad weather on Tuesday...none of the lies made sense. So in order to keep us from questioning or getting upset he had us fill some fake raffle drawings and put in multiple bags. After that some of us went a few at a time into the store and the officer came back in and had everyone leave, he didnt want anyone to make any purchases inside the store. This was my first time waiting for a release and my first time trying to shop here..very suspicious and unprofessional people who are conspiring with one another to make money for themselves and not do the distribution of the sneakers properly. I hope this matter will be taken seriously and that there will be an investigation on their money laundering. Please check cameras if you can. Everyone needs to get fired, or please shut down the store.
