Great service! Melissa was very accommodating, showing me lots of options in a variety of styles and price ranges. Her team took the time to look up my insurance and compare offers to provide me the best deal. It was a very low pressure and friendly experience. They took the time to ensure my glasses fit properly which sounds like a given but thats not always the case at all establishments.
I am so happy that I ended up coming to this location! Everyone was extremely polite, the general manager was more than helpful. Definitely recommend.

I’m used to bad customer service at eyeglass stores but this location takes bad customer service to another level. I came in to look at some frames when I was immediately accosted by a male associate shouting from across the store, he then approached me in a very aggressive manner inquiring if I had a prescription. I told him that I would like to look at some frames, then a female associate jumped in to inform me that they close in 30 minutes, I told her that I wouldn’t be that long and based on this interaction I probably wouldn’t be coming back. On a side note I have purchased 6 pairs from visionworks, I definitely will not be back.
This was a great experience for me and my wife. We each got two pairs of glasses for a little more than we had paid for one at a previous location. The safety protocols were excellent. Immediately upon entering we were screened for fever and required to sanitize our hands. Appointments were required so there were limited customers in the business. Andrea helped us and couldnt have been better. We will use this location again in the future.
I bought NIKE 7084UF-030 frame from this shop, after 40 days the part that prevent frame from scratching the nose skin was detached. went to the shop to check if they can fix it and they did not, instead offered me to buy another one.I ended up buying new frame from Amazon and found that it comes with a backup part of the one that detached.This shop not only sold defected frame but stole the backup parts from the case.I do not recommend it at all.
In these uncertain times, it is so refreshing to see an establishment taking things seriously. Clear and organized protocols, sweet and patient, and very professional. Yes, you’ll wait a bit longer. They can’t help as many people at a time as before, but it’s worth it. Feeling safe and valued is more important. Thank you for doing your part!

My husband and I have been customers of this location for years. Both of my 8-year-old daughters needed glasses this year, so we got theirs here as well. They have a great selection of frames, and the customer service is always stellar. Recently, one of my daughters frames broke in a playground accident, and Melissa went above and beyond to help us get her lenses reframed.

I cannot emphasize this enough- the customer support is HORRIFIC. GO TO THE MEMORIAL CITY MALL LOCATION! I was treated like a complete imposition and as a customer paying for a service (generating profit for the store) one would hope that a current patient kindly asking to purchase a months supply as well as purchase a trial to get me through until my order comes in (SO that I am able to function and see correctly). Never have I ever been made to feel as I did when I walked into this establishment. A pariah. I know we are in the middle of a pandemic but that doesnt mean your customer service skills go out the door. Actually, I dont think the lady I encountered had any to begin with. Im pretty sure the reviews below me speaking about a lady are probably about her as well.I called today and a very courteous gentleman answered and said that I would need to make an appointment to look at their glasses. Fine. I set one up for same day during my lunch break. I was so glad I was able to come in same day as I desperately need a new pair of glasses.I arrive for my appointment and as Im walking in, there are two ladies there and they are both busy on the phone. There is a sign when you walk in with an arrow saying check in station. Using my common sense, I walk to the station. There is a sign in sheet, insurance info sheet, and one more that I didnt bother looking at. No where is there a sign that says STOP DONT TOUCH ANYTHING!!!! I proceed to write my name in the sign in sheet when a middle aged Caucasian woman (only reason I am mentioning what she looks like, is because there was another lady who was younger and Hispanic and dont want her getting blamed for her coworkers actions) approaches me without a greeting in the ugliest tone and said You cant touch anything before sanitizing your hands. Excuse me. A simple Hi. How are you? Oh, Im sorry but we would like for you to sanitize your hands before we begin. would of been better. She made me feel as though I looked like I had leprosy. I manage a doctors office myself and we have procedures in place as well to protect ourselves and our clients but no way would I have acted as she did. After my client uses a pen, we sanitize it. No big deal. It takes two seconds out of my day to do that. I sanitized my hands before I walked in with my own because these days, some hand sanitizers at places smell so nasty and very tequillay and I do not want that smell on my hands. I let it go because as I look up, I see that they have quite a large selection and I was excited to pick out my new glasses.Anyway, after that fiasco, it just gets even worse. I didnt think that could happen. She asks me if Im using insurance, which I am. She tells me to fill out the insurance form to look up my benefits. I ask her if its ok for me to look around first and if I do decide to purchase, I will then give her the info. Still with her snarky attitude she says no. As someone who has been a victim to identify theft, do you think I feel comfortable just giving Jesus, Mary, and Joseph my social like nothing? Um thats going to be a no for me dawg. How did she even know I was going to find a pair of glasses there? Is she a psychic. I would like the Powerball numbers please! Ill even slip you a $20! Shes also asking me for my prescription so she can make a copy. A copy for what? Im not even ready to buy yet. I did give her my prescription to hopefully soothe her but it didnt work. She still wanted me to give her all my personal info. Thats when I said in my head NOPE! How do I know this bitter woman isnt going to take all my information and do as she pleases? She said that that is the way they do it there and that I cant look until I fill it out. I grabbed my prescription and walked out the door as shes saying something else I do not care to listen to.I know one little measly sale from me isnt goin to break your bank but I will not be going to this place. I dont know who this person is, the owner, the manager, or just a regular associate but shes not a good look for this business. Perhaps she should be the one in the lab cutting lenses and not dealing with customers. Maybe she was having a bad day. I dont know but Im sure Im not the only one shes left a bad taste in their mouth. Being nice and courteous goes a long way. If you are not suited to work in customer service, get into a field that doesnt require you to work with people.
I went in to find no customers in the store beside only me, and yet was asked to wait 20 minutes. When I did get help, a patronizing used car salesman of a lady signed me in based on their COVID-19 protocol that for some reason included taking my glasses insurance information. After I found a pair of frames I wanted, it was time to review “the deal.” Of course, this took another 20 minutes of waiting before the car salesman came back. The conversation began with a suggestion to not use my insurance which would save me money and I would get an additional set of glasses—which was not true. The price tag was outrageous. When I asked about my insurance and showed the benefits page from the insurance website, the used car sales lady got obstinate and rude. She then tried some weak bamboozle tactics that failed. When I asked for details of the cost, she instead showed me some false scheme of why I needed an upgrade product. Long story short, I said “I’m out” and went to Warby Parker. The cost was $65 less than this lady’s lowest pitch and had all the options she had stripped off.
I picked up my 5 pairs of new progressive & reading lenses yesterday after a very good initial visit (posted a previous 5-star review). Unfortunately, the pick-up was NOT good. I was rushed in/out with 2 small adjustments. I was not even asked or allowed to sit to try them on. I am feeling a bit dizzy from them (hopefully this will resolve), and one of my progressives (the most important ones) just fell off my face when I leaned over. Not happy.
I’m not one to write many reviews but don’t spend your money here. Customer service is horrible! As a department director for Harris County, I deal with customers everyday. Being courteous goes a long way. Every one working here is impatient and only friendly if it benefits them. They lost me as a customer spending $623 here. I’m taking my funds to a store with better customer service. Not my first time here.
Melissa has been my glasses person for years. She is amazing and always takes great care of customers. She helped look up insurance and utilize all of my benefits. She even went above and beyond to help me get glasses from another visionworks location in a different city.Visionworks itself always has a huge assortment of frames of all prices. Definitely will continue to only use them in the future!
Amazing experience with the Doctors office and the store! Had my eye scanned with Optomap, and was able to see everything in the back of my eye. It was incredible and very affordable. The staff at the store was so helpful when I went in to choose my glasses. Found the perfect two pairs! Thank you.

I loved coming here! The lady working the front counter immediately greeted me and my partner as we walked through the door. We felt so welcomed, as if we’d known her for years. I was skeptical about the email but when he was able to add transitional on his lenses and the price was right on the budget. They had the sale buy two pair and it was affordable and a lot less than we expected! My dad is super happy with his glasses. I recommend for you to go there. 👍
Dropped by this location because I was in the area, but otherwise I would be in Willowbrook.*LONG DETAILED REVIEW, TLDR; this place is great, I recommend Saturday afternoons*My visit was during August of COVID-19.Entering, I was prompted by many STOP signs to go to the check-in desk on the left, where I filled a new patient form, a COVID-19 form, and got my temperature checked and sanitized my hands.I was given a tray to place frames I liked into.I have been in several Visionworks locations, helping all my blind friends choosing their frames lol and none of the ones Ive visited was organized like the one here!The previous ones Ive been into were organized by DESIGNER, but this location was organized by FRAME SHAPE!!! You start on the left side where you can put on sample frame shapes to see what looks best on you, which helps so much with narrowing down what your options are.Then you just go to the area of that frame shape and go at it! It helps sooo much reducing time, because not all people look good in all frame shapes, at least not me.Anyway, I chose my frames along with a pair of sunglasses. We confirmed my insurance and paid, and was told Id get a text to let me know when my frames are ready (per usual). I also had a promised date on the receipt, in case something goes wrong.Something went wrong and I never got the texts, but I gave them a call a couple of days before that promised date and sure enough my glasses were ready.Due to COVID-19, I had to schedule a pick up appointment time, which was not an issue.When I arrived to pick up, I was greeted by a tall gentleman-- sorry I did not get your name-- and tried my glasses on. He answered some questions I had and Id advise him that my frames were kind of loose. Obviously, that was the point of trying them on...so he went and adjusted them for me, and I was all good to go!I dont want to be back because it would mean my sight got worse....but I would recommend this location to all because I would be back, LOL.
Great place. First time picking out glasses and Melissa made it super easy. She was really helpful and honest about which frames fit my face the best. It made a potentially stressful situation so much easier. And they have a great selection.
While the staff is nice, they made my glasses incorrectly. They are re-making them now, and have no way of expediting the remake. They took 2 weeks to make in the first place, and now I have to wait another 2 weeks? My prescription is -.50/-.50 and if you know, thats so unbelievably simple to make. I am very dissatisfied because of that.
When I say top notch service, I mean TOP NOTCH SERVICE. Ms. Melissa was very attentive and patient with not just me, but some other customers that were in there. She did everything in her power to keep the price down. My glasses were ready well in advance of when expected to be ready. This will forever be my place to buy future glasses. Thank you.
I absolutely Love this place, I recently purchased a really cute pair of glass from here and on a great deal. I had my new pair for about a month before my husband stepped on them by accident. I ran in and Joey helped me repair my glasses and I was in and out in a flash! I love the people that work there, theyre so welcoming and funny!

Sitting on front of the place and writing this review. Lady working the front never got up to help. One gentlemen did and then sat right back down with my insurance info and told me whats covered and then just sat there. Told me the price of the lens and when I said that pricey and warby Parker offers both for that price and why are you so expensive. His response was then you are better off going there. No rebuttal or explanation. After that I said I am not saying to go there but would like to know the difference, then he said their frames will break on you in a few months. I said have you tried their frames and his response was no I have not but I have been in the business for a while. I said if you have not tried them then how do you know and he again said then you are better off going there. I have never been essentially told to go to another place because I wanted to know the pros and cons of products. This tells me they are not able to compete and dont want to bother to educate a customer. I would never leave a bad review for a place without trying their product but in this case when I am not even given the opportunity to educate myself, I think it is warranted. I will not buy a single thing from this place nor will I recommend it. By the way this is the first time I am ever having to buy prescription glasses so I have no knowledge of glasses.
Glasses shopping is always an event for me. This location had very friendly staff that were helpful and did not pressure me to make a decision. I went back to get some help in adjusting the fit on my new frames and they were gracious and helpful. I would definitely recommend this location for anyone looking for a new pair of glasses.
Every time I come to Visionworks I leave a happy camper! Their service is excellent and even when there are a lot of people there at once they find a way to get to you in a timely manner! The deals are amazing as well and their employees are always whiling to help you find exactly what youre looking for.
I had a great experience with the place and the people. I had no friends or family there to help me find something. Luckily, Alex went around and picked out several different frames that I could try, gave me an opinion on them, and helped me pick my pair. I ordered them on Monday and got them by Thursday. Melissa was very friendly and thorough when I checked out and made sure I was comfortable with the glasses I got. I was in and out in no time and very satisfied with my service!
We had a family member in town who needed an emergency pair of glasses. We searched all corners of the city for anyone who could do glasses in 24 hours. Luckily we found Visionworks and Melissa. We were able to get designer glasses in just a few hours! The service was excellent, these guys saved the day and I recommend all friends and family to give Melissa a call at this store when its time to deal with glasses.....

Went in because the screw fell out of my glasses and i couldnt find it or keep the lense in place. Which was done for free by the way! The employees there were friendly, welcoming and were available to help me quickly. I did browse some frames to get an idea for my next pair this year and the selection was really good. I would really recommend this location and this company to other eye glass wearers.

Having popped a lens out of my sunglasses, I went to Visionworks earlier today (2/25), and had my glasses repaired. Once complete, I asked what I owed- no charge....and I have not been a previous customer of Visionworks. THIS is Customer Service, an industry I am in myself! When the time comes to need eyeglasses/contacts, I know where I will be taking my business. Thank you!

Went in was greeted nicely. Mind you this is the first time I’m doing this as an adult and on my own so have no idea what my insurance does and doesn’t do. Lady was rude after a couple of questions if my insurance covers this or that. Picked a frame and was told they would call when they would get my glasses in within 2 weeks. Waited and waited no call. 3 weeks later I decided to call and they said glasses have been there at the office waiting for me to pick up. Some young guy gave my glasses but kept the microfiber cloth it came with (Nike Glasses) whatever no big deal. Insurance covers a cleaning kit didn’t receive one at pick up. He told me they were out and would call me whenever they come in. A month later never received a call so I decided I should call and what do you know they were there at the store. Literally a month later I noticed some dirty marks on my glasses that wouldn’t come off. Turned out to be my UV coating was peeling off. Took them back to this place and asked them about it. He said I was using a dirty cloth and I’m using my shirt to clean my glasses. I’ve had glasses for about 13 years of my life and never once messed up the coating so I’m pretty sure I know how to take care of the glasses. So basically I had to use warranty, checked and he said lenses are not in stock and gonna take two weeks to come in. I didn’t want to take that chance so I went to vision works at memorial city mall. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this place. How is it that this place can’t call or text when glasses are ready which is something I really need in life, but when I go to the other location at the mall within 30 minutes of leaving the place I get a call and text saying glasses are ready. Very DISSAPOINTED.

An associate told me that my vision plan would give me glasses and contacts. Once I was given the price for contacts and glasses turns out it was for either or which is what I originally figured. I decided not to get glasses because their lenses are so expensive. I purchased glasses elsewhere and used my insurance to get contacts from them. I called after weeks of no contact or communication from them. Not only did they say the contacts werent there, I was told by a manager that the same associate who gave me the wrong information put a note on my order to hold my prescription to see of I liked the contacts meaning they charged me for them 2 weeks prior. The manager was not remorseful or apologetic outside of saying I can overnight them. The principle for me is that the same associate screwed up twice and I was charged for items that werent purchased. Ill never go back to this location ever again.

My husband recenrec ordered progressive lenses. They did not work out. They exchanged the lenses at no cost which was nice. My daughter got two pairs of glasses. I do feel like there was some pressure to buy the extra Coatings and things for the lenses as a first-time glasses wearer for her. I would have preferred a little less pushy sales experience given that we were buying two pairs of glasses and it was her first time having glasses. However I found the staff to be very polite and informative.

Came last week to get my husband some glasses. He really wanted the same pair of eyeglasses he already had which was raybans. Luckily he was able to find the exact same pair he already had. Then he noticed a selection of rayban sunglasses they also had. When we finally sat down with a representative we already knew what we wanted. Alex, helped us out and even asked us if we needed anything else. I also asked to see if he could give a quote on the rayban sunglasses my husband was looking at. He said sure, he even used my insurance and told me about the half off deal they were having. I was able to get both raybans with insurance and a good deal of coverage for the amount of $350. We were over ecstatic we took both pair. Today I came in the store to get my daughter a pair after she seen the dr. Again Alex, helped assist us and even told us about our discounts. We walked out paying $68 for hers. And to top it off my husband’s raybans came in today. And it had only been 7 days of waiting, then he told us that my husbands sunglasses would be in on Tuesday. Overall we had a wonderful experience through Visionworks. The staff were very welcoming and we could not thank Alex enough for giving us the info and all his hard work. I highly suggest this place to anyone who is looking for glasses and is looking for great deals.
Long wait times, poor quality lenses and poor customer service. Getting the first set took forever. Then when one of the lenses scratched up from literally sitting in my car’s eye glass holder it took forever to get them fixed, and I had to jump through a million hoops, tried to get my other set of glasses redone and they made me jump through a whole other set of hoops after waiting 30 minutes so I just gave up and will be going elsewhere

Felt like the sales people were pushing me into lenses I didnt like or upselling me constantly. Also, glasses took ~1 week longer than the sales person told me they would. Kept getting responses like should be here in 2 - 3 days, no itll be here by friday, then those will be here on monday

The temple broke on my glasses. I went to two other places and they couldnt or wouldnt fix it. Alex at Visionworks not only repaired the temple he replaced the nose pads. All at no charge!
