Tore my last contact lens, they got me in the same day, did my exam and had me out in in no time at all with a fresh pair and an updated prescription. Everyone was friendly and understanding, if I lived near Houston I would use them all the time.

This TSO location is the optician Ive used for a number of years. The staff and doctors Ive seen are great. I as a patient feel like they value me and have always been professional, friendly, informative, skilled and helpful. I recommend this location highly and without reservation.

This location is by the cleanest and nice location I have been to. Lexii was so helpful and patient on teaching me how to put on contacts as picking the perfect pair of glasses. Dr.Nguyen was super friendly and nice during my exam. I surly would go back for my next exam

I had an amazing experience at TSO Downtown! They use the latest technology to give you the most accurate vision screening, unlike one I have ever seen before. Moreover, everyone that works there is friendly and very knowledgeable. In fact, the doctor explained everything incredibly well and was very thorough. In addition to that, the manager Breanne provided me with excellent customer service; she explained my options astonishingly well and she helped me find the perfect pair of glasses and shades. I usually take forever finding eye glasses and get frustrated. But, thanks to Breanne, finding a great pair of eye glasses was actually easy and fun. Having changed eye doctors after 20 years, i have to say, I love my new glasses. They are progressive glasses that have 3 different prescriptions. Definitely a 5 star place. There was trouble with my insurance but they still took me in as to not waste time. By the time I was done with the pre exam they fixed my insurance. Hard working ladies around there! And the doctor was super awesome. She was personable and knowledgeable on all accounts. I will be back!

I received the advertisements regarding TSO and it was a reminder to get my eyes checked. My expectation was that it would be a while to get an appointment but they were able to fit me right in...that day in fact. They were awesome on the phone, the office was clean and everyone wore a mask, everyone was friendly and professional. The whole experience was fab. I initially chose TSO because of the location to my office - its also not too far from my home so its all good. Very pleased with these folks - definitely recommended!

I go here mostly out of convenience, however their team has expanded it seems. And Craig was a very helpful gentleman. He greeted me upon entry and walked me out upon exit. Dr. Richardson is very professional and knowledgeable. She is always happy to answer my questions and with a smile. Team is very helpful and wanting the best experience for everyone. They offered price matching for my incredibly expensive contacts. Overall great experience. High recommended if you are in the downtown area in need of an optometrist.

After 20 years with the same eye doctor I finally got up enough nerve to try a new place. So happy I did. This place has very concerned staff and answered every question I had. They really made me feel like I could trust them. This is my new Eye care home.

The experience was great. Breanne was helpful and knowledgeable. Everything was pleasant. They were thorough and concerned.

I came in for an exam and intended on taking my RX to another retailer due to markups in the store. They found this out and were determined to match and beat the price at their competitors! I was able to get my frames (Ray-Ban) and lenses the same day and cheaper than I was going to pay. I also needed to get my RX re-adjusted due to comfort and it was done right away and they cut the lenses while I waited. I will definitely be back!

This place is awesome! I am in town for Grace Hopper conference. After checked in the hotel, I found I forgot to pack my contact lenses. As my prescription is quite high, without contact lenses, I am nearly blind. Found this place near my hotel on Google map and decided to give a try. The staff in the shop were super friendly and helpful. They suggested getting my optometrist at California to fax my prescription to them so that they could help find lenses for me. Long story short, I got 5 pairs of daily disposable lenses right after receiving my prescription! This is total surprise to me as many places don’t have stock of lenses with such high prescription. I am thrilled that I can enjoy the conference now and I can do my chairperson duty in one of the major tracks.Thank you TSO!

I have been to various TSO locations, but since getting a job Downtown, this was the most conveniently located. I was in and out very quickly and the staff was courteous and professional. Dr. Nguyen was great and took time to walk me through the images of my eyes and explain all of the findings. Happy to recommend.

The staff and doctor are friendly, knowledgeable and very considerate. Office is very modern and stylish. I lost my contacts one morning and called them desperate when I got to the office. They were able to get me in by lunch for an eye exam, I got a trial pair of contacts, and was even fitted for a pair of frames and spent much less than I would have expected to pay at my usual place. So glad I found them! I recommend to everyone.

I needed new glasses because my regular eye doctor didn’t have my prescription in stock, but Texas state optical had the cutest, affordable frames AND cut my glasses all under 30 minutes. I would highly recommend them!!

This was my first time visiting the downtown TSO location. I have visited three other locations and neither of them rated anywhere close to this location. The staff were so patient and extremely helpful in making sure that I was pleased with my exam and selecting eyewear. My exam was explaining to me and detail. I had several questions that were answered thoroughly. Thank you all for being so great. I live or work nowhere near downtown but I wanted to try a different location. This will be my permanent location.

Ive been going to this TSO for over 5 years. Everyone there is very friendly/ great customer service. They have a good option of glasses/ sunglasses and they have assisted me with picking out glasses. This TSO is located in a good part of downtown with street parking around.

Shout out to Manager Mel who made a bad situation right and made up for an employee who needs way more customer service training. She exhibited excellent managerial skills as well as super customer service going above and beyond to make sure we had our contacts before embarking on an international trip. She saved the day.

Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. Had a small cut on my eye, the doctor took great care of me. Originally gave 3 stars because of miscommunication with front desk staff. Had a follow up appointment that I didn’t think I needed to go to because my eye felt absolutely fine. I called a day in advance and asked about the follow up because I didn’t want to pay for something I didn’t see value in. The woman at the front desk assured me the follow up would only take about 5 minutes at no additional charge. I figured it wouldn’t hurt to go since it was free and near where I work. I went, it was 5 minutes, and they charged me and told me no one said that to me on the phone. However, TSO called me and straightened everything out, refunded my second visit, and did everything right to keep me as a customer. I won’t be going anywhere else in Houston for my eyes.

Had to get glasses replaced and they were discontinued. They replaced them anyway, under warranty. Fast, friendly service always.

It was the last day of the year and I was on my lunch break and I needed to use my FSA money. Needless to say i was panicked. I have no clue about face shapes and colors and the last time I tried on my own i ended up spending 3 hours in the store. Eek! Lucky for me the manager helped me find the perfect pair! He found frames AND colors that I never would have thought to try. I walked out in under an hour and with the best pair or frames! I LOVE THEM! If you need expert advice hes the guy and thats the place! I would highly recommend them!

I have visited the Downtown TSO for my past two eye exams and have had both doctors. I can honestly say that they both were very personable and took their time with my exam as well as all of my questions. The parking is a pain so I Uber but the service is well worth it! This year I purchased both contacts and glasses. Initially I liked the frames but when they arrived I just wasnt in love with them. On a whim, I called two weeks later to see if I could exchange them and to my surprise I was able to do so. Craig, the Manager, was extremely helpful and assured me that they wanted me to be 100% happy. I will definitely be back in the future!
