Every time i walk by it always seems like there’s only one person working, today i stopped by and there WAS one person working, due to the employee being busy, i left to use the restroom and once i came back, he was gone.. i waited about 10 minutes for someone to back and help me and didn’t seem like he wanted my business. going to a different location from now on.

My daughter’s school dance was tonight & she wanted a professional to do her makeup. Ally was at the counter when we walked up & I have to tell you it was the best & most positive experience I’ve ever had with makeup. My daughter looked beautiful & the colors complimented her skin tone. She was very age appropriate & Ally listened to her and made her night special. I’d like to send Ally a personal thank you. We appreciate your work. Dilliard’s Mac counter.

Called in to see if there were any open slots for December and was placed on hold while they checked. Waited over an hour and never received a response. Had to go in person just to be told they were booked which took less than a minute just to verify.Worst customer service in person and over the phone!

Ally was the absolute sweetest. She beat my face to the gods. She listened to exactly what I wanted and I couldn’t be happier. I walked in last minute and they fit me in right away. I will always recommend MAC in Dillard’s to everyone.

Horrible service. Called to make a prom makeup appointment 2 weeks ago & they told me they didn’t have the schedule. Called today and said they were fully booked.

So first off I understand its the holidays and it gets hectic. I have worked retail during the holidays before, but the level of customer service at the MAC counter inside Macys is one I honestly did not enjoy. Although I was happy with my merchandise I really do wish I could have had someone else for the sale. The woman was not very helpful. She just stood there with a blank face not even really being responsive. Eventually when she realized we were going to get several items she began to be a bit more lively. When I asked her a question about the products she even at one point simply said I dont know and quickly moved to something else. After we bought our gifts I asked her if she had gift bags. She proceeded to tell me that she doesnt do them and that she was just going to throw in an extra bag if I wanted to do it on my own. I explained to her again that I actually DID want to make the gift bag of my OWN since she didnt even seem willing ( Crazy, because all the materials for gifting were right in front of her. Complete laziness) anyway she only gave me 2 bags for three products and 1 MAC ribbon I kept asking her about the gift wrapping materials until she said Im just going to give you the paper off one of these [gift bags that were on display so she literally just gave me the ONE piece of foil paper. I was beginning to feel the neglect. I finally spoke up and told her to give me another ribbon and foil for my 2nd bag and she had an attitude. I finally walked away with 2/3 products ready for gifting, now I need to find another gift bag on my own unfortunately because I didnt want to inconvenience her again by asking her to do her job! SMH in the end not happy they dont look like the display gifts at the store. Not sure why she didnt give me a gift bag that was already made but I do believe she probably wouldnt have done them nicely. (Attached is my final product)

I came to that Mac in Macy’s to get some make up brushes they had on promotion. The ladies there didn’t even acknowledge my presence they were talking to one of the sales associate from the eyeglass store next to them. I went from the make up brushes to the blushes to the lipsticks and nobody said anything to me. Then I overheard them talk about braiding hair And they still didn’t say anything to me. I always hate coming to that location because they have the worst customer service ever. I will now forever stay away from the Willowbrook Mac.

When getting matched for a foundation the advisor should match the shade she feels is best, show a shade lighter, & one darker. The reason being is because someone may want a color lighter & some darker. This is what beauty advisors are taught that wrk for Estée Lauder. I know this because I was an advisor for that company. I’m not sure Mac’s way of doing things but from my experience for years the reps on MAC are very arrogant in a sense. Almost as if they know it all & usually they are totally wrong. Today I went into Mac in Dillard’s. The rep I’m not sure of her name matched me entirely too dark. When she pumped the foundation out I told her that it was too dark. & suggested that she went lighter. She told me that it would be too light & insisted that I went with the shade. & also stated if I want to be a little lighter I should highlight... I’m not highlighting and contouring everyday. That’s even crazy to suggest that versus just matching the correct color. I purchased the foundation, left, went outside to get a more better view in sunlight. She matched me with the waterproof foundation in color nc50. My color is mc47. Well anyways I come back inside after about 30 minutes. I told another rep the concern and told her specifically I would like to get matched. She said oh what color... remind you she’s the Mac rep lol. Not I! I told her idk I would like to go a color up. She found a color & stated here you go & placed the foundation on the makeup station for me to match myself & turned and walked back to the register. At this time there’s no other customers but me! With 3 reps on the floor. I couldn’t believe that she was doing that. I was so disappointed I just asked for my money Back. Turns out her name is Ally & she’s also the manager. SMH. Which totally explained why her associate had a know it all attitude, not knowledgeable about the products, & more focused on a sale vs building a relationship. As a beauty advisor you should always want to give a customer an experience. Already the customer, me, had to come back inside after being horribly matched, you should definitely show empathy, & wrk hard to save that customer from having a salty experience. I politely took my business to Sephora. This is my 1st review ever. I had to make sure I left a review on this. Working on making one for my social media post as well.
