I saw online that they were a spyder co dealer and went to go find a solid pocket knife. Daniel was a great help and was very knowledgeable on everything knife related. He also showed me a few amazing custom knives that they make.

I read the reviews before heading over to Serenity Knives and they were spot on. Awesome place. It’s a small shop behind a house, and just a very cool place to check out. I was there to buy a small pocket knife and Daniel took the time to walk me through all of the pros and cons of various steels and product lines. Very informative and helpful.

This place is LEGIT. Super friendly and knowledgeable guys. I brought in my pocket knife to get sharpened and we geeked out about the various metals we prefer for our knives. I checked out their custom made knives, which are beautiful and razor sharp, while they sharpened mine. Had such a good experience I even brought my friend by later that day so he can sharpen his knives. Absolutely looking forward to my next sharpening and will bring a few more knives with me too. Will likely commission a knife or two here for Holiday gifts as well.

I don’t write reviews but Daniel and the crew at Serenity knives inspired me when stopping in to get a knife for my father in law. Ended up getting one for my mother in law and myself. They walked me through and ended up helping select knives that were a huge hit. Extremely knowledgeably, helpful and just easy to talk to. And their custom knives and showpieces on display are like looking at a wall in an art museum.

I had seen this business on a Google search and as my brother was in town we decided to visit. Time well spent!!!! Picked out a knife in a small but well stocked showroom. I like to endorse small businesses and Serenity has great customer service. Will definitely shop here again.

My grandfather passed away this past January, while staying at his house in New Hampshire to both attend the funeral and spend time with loved ones I came across an old hunting knife that belonged to him as well as my dad and uncle (though they would still argue over who the knife actually belonged to...). When i found it the blade needed a little TLC as well as the handle which was coming apart. I did what i could for the blade but had no clue how to repair the handle with out damaging the knife. So i took it to a professional over at Serenity Knives and couldn’t believe it was the same knife i dropped off a few weeks ago. I think my grandfather would be very happy with how it turned out. Worth every penny to have this knife stay in my family for future generations to come.

These folks are real craftsmen. I took my Helle in with a few nicks and Daniel worked the edge exactly as the manufacturer recommends, a Scandi bevel.I asked a ton of questions and Daniel was patient and addressed all of my concerns. He even explained each step of the process as he was working the blade.I shopped around for various sharpeners and after this experience, I will never let anyone but Serenity touch my knives.They have a showroom of knives they make in house as well as a few other brands.Im so happy a place like this exists in Houston.

I found this place about a year and a half ago. I love it! Russell Montgomery & his employees are first class. Very knowledgeable, kind & professional. He made a beautiful Gaucho knife for my mother. Hes in the process of making a gaucho knife for me and a paring knife for my mother. I just bought a beautiful chef knife. The handle is Micarta & vintage Micarta as well. Its lite weight great for my arthritis in my wrist. My mother and I just finished a knife sharpening instruction class with him. One on one, lots of fun! We learned a lot. I recommend Serenity knives to everybody! Go in and look at the showroom. Beautiful knives! You can Commission him to make a knife you would like. Its pretty amazing!

Wanted to get our kitchen knives sharpened as a surprise for my husband, so I needed same day service. Central Market couldn’t verify if they could be done same day, so I went to Google and found Serenity. Brought them in at 10:30 and I got a call that the knives were done before I even made it home! Had a great experience. Walked in with a folding knife that they were unfamiliar with that had had a sticky mechanism. While I waited, they took it apart, figured out the issue, cleaned it up, sharpened it, and it’s working like the day it was gifted to me. I’m very grateful to have it back in order and thrilled to have found Serenity Knives right in our neighborhood. We will certainly be back to have our kitchen knives sharpened.

I took a couple of Shun kitchen knives in for sharpening after about 4 years of normal use. They inspected the knives thoroughly and told me what they would do to them. In 20 minutes they called to say they were done. When I picked them up they showed me the blades and explained again what they had done. The results are beyond satisfactory. The edges are better than when they came from the factory in Japan. I will be back for sure.

Brought in a saber and a knife that needed work done, both turned out very nicely. Im very happy how they turned out will return in the future.

Im a firm believer in spending money wisely. I took my pocket knife in because I dulled the edge of the blade. I had to drive 30 miles to get there which took me about 1 hour & a half because of traffic, and Daniel had me out the door in less than 10 ten minutes. Was it worth it?... Worth every penny! These guys have good reviews and there is a reason for it. Will I make the drive back for any future repairs?... Heck yeah! Best place in town.

As a competitive axe thrower i put my axes through a lot of punishment. I took them to get sharpened at Serenity and they put a masterful edge on them! It lasted a full 8 week league before needing to be re-sharpened! I will definitely be coming back!

Daniel greeted me kindly and Nick hung out, talked knives and let me play with all their blades until I bought one! There was another dude who sharpened my pocket knife on the spot, and I didn’t catch his name, but he was super friendly, too. Just a good, solid, friendly group of people. Had a few things in stock that I didn’t expect to see, too! 10/10. Seriously, this place is probably gonna become a habit for me. If you’re at all into knives, or just need yours sharpened, you should definitely check them out.

Went to Serenity Knives to get a couple of Enso knives sharpened and left very impressed. Not only do the knives cut like new (and as beautiful as ever) but it took less than 15 minutes. Additionally, Russell answered all my sharpening questions while he was sharpening the knives. I will be taking all my knives to be sharpened at Serenity Knives from this point forward.

Proud to say that I purchased my first quality EDC knife from Serenity Knives.I walked in just checking out what they have and doing my homework since since Im new to the knife community and had an idea of a few knives I wanted as my first quality EDC.I usually go some where check some knives out that I had my eye on and ask question at different stores to learn why I would pick one knife over a another. Then I sit on it for a day or to to make sure I dont impulse by something.I had every intention of doing that as I walked in into there shop, but i appreciate how they nerded out with me answering all my questions and making sure I picked the prefect knife for me and what I needed.Lo and behold I walked out with a purchase I dont regret; a Benchmade Mini Freek.There customer service and openness made me very comfortable open up and trust there opinion and not to just sell me something.In my opinion there normal guys you can have a conversation with that know there stuff about knives for sure.Also dont let the looks fool you, its a small place in a neighborhood which is different but they have a nice set up that does the job!Definitely going to follow up and try out there sharpening services up next!

Took this vintage Ka-bar hunting knife to Russell as it was kinda sharp when I got it and I tried to sharpen it with the stones I have but Russell corrected my mistakes very easily but then he knows what he’s doing and I left after about 15-20 with a very good edge so I will be going back for my knife sharpening soon form here on our.

Had a great experience with sharpening my two Henckel kitchen knives. Fast-turn around and Daniel Cruz was extremely helpful explaining to me the ins and outs basics for kitchen knives. They also a phenomenal selection of pocketknives (Benchmade, Spyderco, We, etc) in addition to their kitchen and custom offerings. Sad I did not find this place sooner!

It is so hard to find anyone in Houston that can sharpen knives with a quick turnaround. These guys are pros and true artists in their craft. I dont think youll find anyone in town better than them.

So I was referred to serenity knives through a mutual friend Mike White. Once arriving I meet with Daniel. Daniel was very welcoming and knowlegeable about what I needed done. He showed me around the shop and even let me play with the expensive auto flip knives. I felt like a kid again. I brought a a 6 kitchen knife in last week for Daniel to look at. I had been unhappy with the edge grind being set asymmetrical at 90/10 from the factory - he quickly reworked the knife to a 50/50 profile while I waited. Amazing showroom space with gorgeous blades. The entire team is very knowledgable about knives, metallurgy, and sharpening. If you care about your kitchen knives, I would highly recommend a visit.

Serenity Knives does it all well. Knife sharpening, custom production and sales. On my last visit I found out they have a new showroom as well, great stuff.

These guys are awesome, I was in and out in a couple of minutes and they sharpen my D2 steel Benchmade knife with an edge like a razor. They also had a knife room which felt like something out of a John Wick movie. Stellar customer service and hands down the best blade guys in Houston!

I brought in 5 different knives to these guys and all came out great but one. It was a weird shaped knife so not their fault. All in all 5 stars.

Dropped off 2 shun knives to be sharpened here, came back at close as I never received a call saying they had finished. Noticed at home that both the knives had come back with reshaped tips (probably had been chipped and reshaped). Also, one of them was not noticeably sharper than when I brought it in, as I still had trouble cutting vegetables post sharpening*Edit - Brought both knives in again after talking with Russell and he sharpened them and did a great job restoring them. I do wish that it had been brought to my attention up front, but they did a great job making everything right.

I recently had several Japanese kitchen knives sharpened at Serenity Knives and I could not be happier. I try to do a bit of maintenance sharpening on my own but Serenity put a near as-new edge back on my knives that I dont think I could ever achieve.

Great service and knowledge in a craft not many continue to do. I got all my knives sharpened and I got a lesson on how to keep them in great condition.

Exceptional work. They were able to grind out a chip and re-sharpen my vanadium-alloy utility knife in less than half an hour at a great price. Edge is still keen after several weeks of light use and cuts with no feeling of catching on dull areas. Highly recommended.

As a culinary student I knew there would be a time where I would need to resharpen my knives. After weeks of trying personally and not seeing any results whether it be because of technique or utensils I decided to see a professional. After looking around I stumbled upon Serenity Knives. Russel and Daniel were very personable and took care of both my Chef knife and Paring knife! I would definitely make a return when the time comes again!

Very nice people and are extremely helpful. Brought my Benchmade in to get sharpened and also asked if theyd help me remove a stubborn pin in my balisong. They were able to remove it with ease and also got my knife really sharp. Definitely will come back whenever I need to get my knife sharpened.

My wife managed to break off the tip and bend my new Kramer chefs knife. Serenity went to work, ground down the tip and sharpened the blade to scalpel sharpness. I highly recommend them for knife sharpening/repair.

This place did wonders for my baddly chipped Japanese chef knife! $250 knife saved by $20 worth of true craftsmenship. Very sharp, fixed the chips AND put a new tip on it. If you have high quality steel and dont want to mess with it (or mess it up) yourself or you dont have stone or whatever, definitely recommend. Only minor inconvenience was finding the place. No sign, so I called to make sure which house it was. Other than that, 5 stars!
