Most of the time the stock is good and fresh. You can find there many produce made in Poland and they do have the original taste. If you have never tried European sausage or cut meat you are in for a treat.
Bit pricey. Other than that it was very good. I noticed that the staff member could of been nicer to my grandmother also. She was generally nice and helpful.
The owner recommended me to buy a duck spread what I did. I opened it and it smell awful. beware the meat don t seems to be fresh. If you want to travel a little, one of the beat polish store is in Clearwater.
A wonderful shop that carries any of your polish food needs. Owners are fluent in polish and English. They also speak some German. It was very helpful since I am from Germany.
Excelent place to find traditional food from Cracovia like a smoked kielwasa
There are not enough words in the English language to describe the wonderful experience that my husband and I and our friends had today at Movable Feast!! It was our first time dining in and the food was great. My husband and I will most definitely be back. A recent health scare has both of us especially me making serious lifestyle changes Moveable Feast will most definitely be apart of making that change a permanent one .Excellent customer service and I can not say enough about how great the food is!!!!
I love polish food. That being said, I will never go back. The staff was rude. It was my first time there. I was looking forward to buying different meats. I dont speak Polish but I do understand it, because of this the attendant made me stand to the side while she took the next person. I ended my visit short as I didnt get anything else besides $20 of ribs and $15 sausage. I would have easily bought more meats, cheese, stuff cabbage, but the staff just didnt have the patience. Whoever the owner is, just know this is why your business will not grow. Bottom line, only go there if you speak polish because non speakers will not be welcomed.
We were very pleased with sausage variety. Prices are quite competitive. Love Polish quality. For those who new recommend to try sweets Ptaschye Mlecko and sausage Kabanosy 😋
My husband just went here to get fresh nonsmoked Kielbasa. the lady working the counter was so rude and would barely help him. Other patrons that spoke Polish and English helped him out. Apparently they only have smoked sausage. Does anyone know where to get fresh Kielbasa?
Huge choice of meet products, fresh breads and real honey
Good selection of Polish goods. Lady that works there is a real hard worker. She does everything around the store from doing inventory, receiving, unpacking, minding cash register, cleaning, to answering a phone and taking orders, while keeping positive attitude and being polite and helpful. They sell probably one of the best breads in Houston! And they sell them Hot! I wish they sold a bit more of Polish folk art items or jewelry from different Polish regions or just had a bit more Made in Poland gift ideas besides food, mugs or glasses, especially before Christmas. Overall a pleasant shopping experience. Thank you to the lady that works there for her excellent customer service while working so hard.I will be going back a lot for bread, sweets, herbal teas and more!
Wide variety meats, frozen and refrigerated goods, many Polish choice food canned and jars, fresh rye bread, stuffed cabbage, perogies, deli service items...myriad dried and packed sweet and savory treats.
The best selection of Polish meats this side of Chicago. Of course they do not have an expiration date. It is the nature of cottaage made smoked meats. Highly recoomend my favorite hunting sausage, kabanosy. Buy them fresh, hang them in the kitchen to dry. Save money. The big secret of the place is the rye bread they bake themselves. Made fresh daily in small batches and once it is gone for the day, it is gone.Higly qualified, old school help.Oh, yeah, smoked seep cheese.!
The rudest staff in Houston. They don’t understand customer service and that they have an open store because of its customers. You are not doing us a favor, we are doing you a favor by stepping foot in your store rather than going somewhere else. They let you wait even when the store is empty, if you speak English something is wrong with you, if you dare to ask a question about the products the answer is “maybe in your country, but not in ours”. They don’t want to sell but by bulk, otherwise “it doesn’t make sense to open a package”. When i got home I realized that one of the package expired 2 months ago but who cares, they are doing you a favor for selling it to you anyway..Id have to drive for an hour to take it back so ill take the loss, but never again Houston Polish Food Store on Blalock will have me as a return customer. I guess, judging by the receipt the lady i dealt with is Viktoriya, short blond hair, glasses, senior citizen.
I love this store !Its great selection of European delicatessen. And great service.
It has the best polish sweats you got to trie it out

Great selection of polish foods!
Hendryick (sp?) Was really helpful. He helped me pick out some sausages you can eat cold vs ones you can warm up/cook. Helped me pick out some cheeses and bread too! Do try thier ham, I got about a pound and a half,, it didnt make it past 3 days.... literally, it melts in your mouth. They got fresh doughnuts I believe on Sunday, get em I the morning! This place has all the pickled veggies you need. Also, tried the frozen perogies, took them home, boiled em then pan fried in a little butter. A+.I probably stop by at least once a month. I always pick up some fresh bread, pate and some sausages.
And again, against my better judgment, I bought sausages from the deli counter. The vacuum packed Krakowska sausage was slimy and had strong sour scent. The white raw sausage smelled like vomit during cooking and tasted awful. Just absolutely unpalatable. Both found a suitable place in a dumpster. Its not the first time I had bad experience with the deli products. The store has some great dry and canned goods, though, but I will not buy deli there anymore. Way too much money wasted already.
I used to love the meats from this place and recommend it to all people i know until yesterday when the bacon i bought from the polish store was rotten. Second day I still have the bad smell in my nose. Took it back and they even did not care that they can get people sick. Not going back ever. The packages do not have an expiration date and some i way overdue for human consumption. Learned a hard lesson that i have to not be so naive and trust they are honest. I hope you will learn to before wasting you money and time like i did. Very disappointed.
Good food quality and the price is decent.
Was so excited to head out to have my faves.. no food available to eat, only stocked food. Baba was not kind at register, that’s not very Polish. BE kind!!
Great place to get authentic Polish food. I just wish the store itself was larger! 😁
I entered the store with a dzien dobry! and in return was greeted with shouting and complains about me entering the store 20min before they close. The other time I went, my dzien dobry was ignored due to ongoing fight and cursing between employees. Lovely people!
Best place to get polish foods.
Love going here great customer service and the food is great and love the product s they sale highly recommend
A came here to look for fresh cake yeast, which they sell in huge 1lb blocks. What a great store though, I found all sorts of delicacies from cheeses, smoked fish, a healthy assortment of smoked bacons & meats, bread & jars & jars of pickles, candies & other Polish goodies.
A nice store. Especially polish candies!!!
I love their blood sausage and smoked bacon. The only place right now to get fresh yeast.
Lady working is rude
Had all the Polish food that I love!
Great and delicious Polish foods!
Such a great place for sausage and bread and goodies, delicious!!!! Owner working hard to service everyone.
Bought a thing or two here
Great place to pick up authentic polish sausage. Great selection
Great selection of real Polish packaged food and wide selection of sausage and meat products. Fair pricing and friendly service!
This place is an excellent place to get all of my polish groceries!
Used to love going to this place but the last few times I went they didn’t have my usual things. I am afraid they are not doing as well as they used to. If they restock, I’d add a star. Love their bacon and dumplings.
Great selection of Central & Eastern European style cold cuts, pickles, sweets and home made foods.Their NorthStar Bologna/Mortadela is simply divine ! The only downside about this place is that those ladies working there are always grumpy and almost mean I should say.
Food was so yummy. Had a friend come into town and she asked me to take her here again. The bill was decent. I see why this place has a lot of good reviews.
Theyre not lying about their huge selection of perogies:BlueberryCabbageCheeseCherryKrautKraut & MushroomKraut, Potato, BaconMaultaschenMeatMushroomPlumPotatoPotato & CheesePotato & Cheddar CheeseSpinachStrawberryBeef & PorkMushroomChickenSilesian Dumplings
Great food and selection
Nothing to complain about. Ill return with my friends. Prices were appropriate. If it wasnt far from my work I would come by more.
Good food.
Too bad they dont have Kubuś anymore 😥😥
Great Keto options in the deli, always something interesting or new to try in their market.
Great food! As always. Great atmosphere for catching up with friends. I usually sit at the bar. I always get impeccable service, except for yesterday. The bartender was very inattentive and the food runner waitress that dropped off our food was not the happiest person either. Would have given 5 stars excluding this one bad visit out of many, but 4 for sure!
Stopped by to pick up some sausage to smoke at home. Took home a few pounds of kolbassi and loved it. They have a very well stocked deli full of delicious Polish imports. They have a highly-reviewed restaurant right around the corner, but Ive never been. If its anything like this place, Im sure its great!
Very friendly service. Awesome selection of perogis, polish jarred vegetable specialties, fresh sausage and breads. Houstons best polish store.
Small grocery store / restaurant next to it with friendly staff. Its definitely a place to go once in a while to try something different. They also have a small meat market where we get veil hotdogs which are very good!
If you tired from every day food. You can try delishes which they have. Just try.
Shared a delicious combo with hubby. Oh so good. Every bite was amazing. Service was superb. Love this place. Will definitely be back.
Great selection of cured meats, Polish canned goods, and be sure to get the house-made brined pickles!
A nice little shop if youre looking to take Polish cuisine home. The other shoppers were native Polish and were more than happy to offer suggestions. Plus, theres a restaurant right next store!
The store have large varieties of food, marinated salad and meat products
Come here once in awhile and the staff has always been extremely polite. We were beyond happy with the selection of food. One of my favorite stores in Houston.
Great selection of Polish foods and friendly staff!
Good food and service
Yesterday, I have visited that lovely store, but…, I was very disappointed! Not like any other days when you see the smiling lady in front of you, I have seen the yong man behind the counter and as I find out later he is happened to be store owner’s son. The rude and unhelpful young man with a huge attitude, like he’s doing me a favor just talking to me. When he was asked for help, he acts like he is holier than thou by rolling his eyes, smacking lips, making faces, or even tossing the cold cuts. A prime example of how you can lose customers at one moment.I love Polish food, and Ive gotten stellar service from a Polish sales, so no, cultural differences cant be used as an excuse. It just his great personality.
Down the street from my house. I love the imported meats from Chicago. Bacon, headcheese, sausage, and Super Extra Hot Mustard like nowhere else in Houston!
Great polish food! Some articles are a little pricey though. If you are senior, make sure you go on Wednesday and you will get 10% off.
I went to the store. It is a pretty small store. At the time I went there was many unstocked shelves and little variety. A lot of jars! No bread. Friendly staff.
Great Polish food selection! Update... just visited yesterday and bought the poppy seed roll kolache. Yay... They are getting these in for Christmas and will have more next week. Better hurry though because I know they will go fast. Hoping that next weeks delivery will include the nut roll. They come from a Chicago Bakery.
Certainly worth a return trip. This place has a great atmosphere.
They could be more helpful explaining I am polish grandparents all from poland. Wallington we shopped at Adams and we ordered kielbasa there was only one kind. So when I ask questions I do Not like it seeming I am stupid or why are you here. I have been shopping at this store for 17 years and always wait for it to change. It has not. Love the food but the help not so much.
Food is outstanding! Service was excellent. We have been here twice and always treated like family.
Love this place! Fantastic sausages and items from Poland in addition to a restaurant next door that is great.
Great variety of Polish food items as well as general Slavic foods as well.
Good assortment of imported dry goods and their hams and sausages are superb.
Very nice assortment of polish goodies!
Food before expiration date! Authentic. A little pricy. But good stuff like Babcha used to make.
The place is filled with Polish food priducts and has a great butchers shop.
They have all of my polish needs, and the women who work with meat Deli are gorgeous.
The only one and the best one .
Everything there is old and moldy. It happened a few times that I bought stinky cold cuts, sausage on which mold appeared after two days, bread several times frozen and defrosted. Just yesterday I bought sausage for Easter and today I threw everything in the trash can. I dont recommend this store.
A very special place the food is great one of my favorite places and its in spring branch
Food is incredibly tasty. It is great that we can finally buy some of the things we ate back home at Poland. Meats are high quality.I am forced to give 3 stats though because 3 packed Meats we bought were old and spoiled. Smoked ribs were packed over a month before we bought them and they smelled TERRIBLY (we bought 2 packs and both spoiled) and the same for one pack of packed sausage. 2 months old.It was partiality our fault to not look at labels, but I would argue that keeping old food on the shelf for over a month is also a shop responsibility.
Small quaint shopping center for everything Polish! My husband is Polish and I go here to get some of his favorite foods that you cant find in a typical store. Items from cookies, sauerkraut, perogies and Polish sausage.
Excellent quality bacon and grilling sausages. Worth the somewhat steep price.
They sell overdue products!! This is not first time when I buy something and It was 2-3 months too old!!! Seller are rude and unhelpful. It is huge problem for them to say dzień dobry or do widzenia. If I ask about help every time they answer I dont know I love polish food but this atmosphere is unacceptable... Im very disappointed
Excellent food at a good price. Portions are quite large, and they offer complementary soup...
I wish there were more places like this around town. Mood here reminds me of San Diegos scene.
Excellent dried meats and smoked cheeses
Only place for authentic Polish food. Great food in the restaurant.
OFFERS GOOD QUALITY POLISH MEATS, SAUSAGES AND COLD CUTS AS WELL AS FISH.
Poorly stocked. The people running the store are consistantly the least friendly group I have ever met.
Great selection of imported Polish foods that made me feel like I was with my grandma
Excellent food, and real friendlyand patient wait staff, that didnt wince if we mispronounced an item on the menu
I always get there what i like - some smoked/cured meats, sweets, etc. Typically, you cant find some of these anywhere else anyway...
One of the only places I go for a variety of sausages, processed meats, and slab bacon. This place is the stuff dreams are made of.
My favorite place to do shopping :)
This place is always amazing, you get a glimpse of the Polish life.
Excellent European deli and other gourmet food place!
Very nice restaurant. Polish food was delicious
Great place! All sorts of reasonably priced goodies from the motherland.
Super nice ladies working there
