This was the worse experience for me, so I reserved a Uhal online to pick up from this location I added Dollys and insurance and it gave me the amount I would need to bring when picking up the truck, when I get there they tell me it’s way more than what my reservation online was and that wasn’t including the insurance or furniture equipment I would have to pay extra! I’ve rented U-Haul’s before and never had this issue. After that we get the truck drive it to the location have movers ready to start moving only thing is the truck had a padlock on it so I had to call the store back and ask them was there an extra key they were supposed to give us they said no that isn’t our lock you’re gonna have to bring the truck back so we can cut it off. So I came out of more money then I had budgeted for and I was held up from moving on the time schedule planned 😡

I was driving south on Telephone Road when I saw this hardware store. Its a lot bigger inside than it appears from the street.This is a great place to pick up hardware items for a weekend project. The store is well staffed with helpful and knowledgeable store associates. Unlike Home Depot or Lowes, you dont have to walk a mile to find what youre looking for. Prices are a little higher, but I dont mind paying for the convenience.

Terrible customer service and management, staff would tell you whatever for the sake of selling rather than maintaining an honest and long term customer merchant relations. They take advantage of a none English speaking customers and their return policy is extremely shady. You are better off paying a little bit more at Home Depot/ Lowe’s etc for a better customer service, better returning policy and most important honesty.

Bigger inside than it looks from the outside... its a maze in there but its interesting to explore around every corner... great place to find what you expect from a hardware store but also filled with all sorts of gift ideas... its a hidden treasure, this place...

I came in to pick up a ship-to-store order. After driving 40 mins, I see no curbside pick up. Also theres no accessible entrance. After waiting in line, the cashier told me pick up is almost in the back of the store.No one was at the counter. Someone did eventually show up, and said they probably have my paperwork up front. (Thanks-- thats REALLY helpful). I suggested maybe be call I front and find out. Then he said hell have to get someone else to help me because hed probably screw it up.Another person showed up and was helpful and friendly. Thank God. I was about to pull out my hair in frustration.The store itself is in a questionable part of town, and it looks like it needs to be pressure washed from the inside out. My experience was entirely too taxing. The item I purchased wasnt readily available elsewhere, but Ive since found another source.Your experience may vary. It seems a lot of people like the place. Its not for people with limited mobility AT ALL.

This hardware store has a great variety. Anything from power tools to pressure washers, mulch, light fixtures, water troughs, livestock/pet equipment, and even work boots and firearm ammo. The prices are fair, and the service is usually better than at the local Home Depot and Lowe’s.

Great customer service. Needed to pop in and out real quick and grab some phone to wrap around my pipes to prepare for the drop-in temperature. The employees were friendly helpful and told me exactly what I needed to get the job done.

If you need the weirdest nuts or bolts this is the place to go - they will help you find what you need unlike those other places

Called to see if they had a 1/2inch compression union in schedule 40 and they said they did. I drove from the northwest side of town only to find they had NONE. A plumber indicated they had not had any in several days! While there I listened to a manager tell people on the phone that they had what they wanted but, when he hung up he joked that he would try to sell schedule 80 or CPVC to people they were dumb enough to buy it! Apparently he thought it was funny. NEVER buying at a True Value Hardware Store again!

Today’s date is 02/20/21, as you all know this week was one of the worst week in Houston due to a winter storm that left a lot of people without power, water and food. I had some broken water pipe due to the cold weather that we had this week. Everyone who went to a lot different hardware places knows that it’s was very difficult trying to find stuff on the plumbing aisles, i went out everywhere looking for a pipe threader set.Every single place it was sold out. Until I came to this store. I found the last set they had in there, the same set they had left in there is regularly $80 to $100 in others hardware stores or Walmart.They sold it to me for $200, that’s really sad when other people is trying to get rich out of other people which are suffering difficult times due to Mother Nature.This was the first and for sure it would be my last time in that store.

I just paid $4.99 a piece for 6ft foam pipe insulation. Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart all had it for $2, but sold out everywhere because if this weeks Sudden freeze. Im want to call it supply and demand but it felt like price-gouging.

I can usually find what I need and more. Its small, a bit cramped, but they have nearly everything and then some. Shopping here helps my local community and neighborhood and that is so important

I was at this store today. They had a lot Lysol. They only let me buy 1. I told my sister they had lysol. She immediately came to the store in 20 minutes. They told her they were sold out. They had a box and they didn’t even put it on the shelves. They are obviously keeping it for themselves. I called management and they were very rude. There’s no way all that lysol disappeared in 20 minutes. I talked to 3 people at this store and they were all rude. The Manager Ronnie even hung up in my face. I asked for corporate and another guy, who said he was the manager hung up in my face. This store gets 1 star! Unbelievable Hiw can I contact upper management? The store is suppose to sell product not hide it and keep it for themselves..

GREAT PLACE TO GET WHAT YOU WANT, THEY WILL FIND WHAT YOU WANT IF NOT WILL LET YOU KNOW, THEY DO REPAIRS ON SOMETHINGS ALWAYS ASK, IT DOESNT HURT IN LONG RUN.

Wouldnt take a part back that I bought from them the say before! Brought it back because it didnt fit. According to them it was the wrong box. So they sold me the wrong part then wouldnt give it back. Not my problem. Says the manager.

Wouldnt accept my return stating that my receipt cited that I wouldnt be able to return it. The receipt said no such thing. Not only that but the price was severely over priced. Would not recommend shopping here as they cannot be trusted to do fair business.

Ran by a bunch of crooks. Website states they have lysol aerosol spray. Sent someone to purchase some. Store employee lied and said disinfecting spray was the same as lysol aerosol. Literally walked out the store confirmed they are not the same and walked back in to return the item. They refused to accept our return. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE.

Ive been in this hardware store 3 times. Its obvious that the owner/operator of this store takes pride in their business and in my experience the employees are knowledgeable of what is in the store. Every time Ive walked in Ive had someone immediately greet me and ask if I needed any assistance. In each case Ive told them what I was looking for and they pointed me to the parts and even written out the description on the parts bag making check-out a breeze. Also, Im impressed with their inventory in that I havent seen items out-of-stock. All of this is a welcome contrast to Home Depot where Ive spent a lot of time and money, but will hopefully will be spending less of either and more at this hardware store.

The customer service at true value on telephone road going south off 610 loop was very professional .From the outside of store its look little but when you walk inside is it huge. It has all the different kind of things that you would like for hardware and commercial jobs.

Great Hardware store and I found the best quality Paint for my home. Their Easy Care Platinum Paint and Primer in 1 was much better quality than what I found from the big box stores. Maria in the Paint department really helped me find the right colors for my home.

So, heres the deal...if youre going to be a UPS pickup location, and you say youre open at 7:30AM...you should probably have your doors unlocked at 7:30, not 8. I asked the crossing guard, and she confirmed that they pretty much open whenever they want. Not cool for those of us wanting to pick something up before work.

I had two key made the first was the silver one, which only cranked car when chip was placed next to it, I had to come back for the black key because it had to be ordered, pay $79.00 bucks the key stopped working the next day, came into store to ask for refund I was refused even though I have my receipt and orginal key, now Im sitting in the sun in front of True value Golfcrest waiting on locksmith to fix their key for another $170.00. Horrible service very rude and short with me all I wanted was a key made. NOW Im out $270.00 because of faulty equipment.. I wont be giving they any more of my hard earned money...
