Great place. It’s got a nice atmosphere and comfortable. More importantly, the staff there are fantastic! Very friendly and knowledgeable.

The only place in Houston to see and play on high-end double basses, and the only place I would consider for any work on your bass. The people are extremely nice and will always take the time to listen to your issues and show you what you need. They have numerous items I have never seen in any other string shop, and not only that, but their prices are lower. It is not only a shop for bass, but I see violin viola and cello customers there, and they are equally kind and informative to all levels of players from beginner to Houston Symphony.

QBC is what you might expect: a small cramped space overflowing with basses running the gamut of price and quality. The staff were helpful in discussing and demonstrating the few basses that got my attention. Fortunately for me, I found a bass that I could afford thanks to the great selection and service. You wont be pressured to buy at QBC, but you wont discouraged either, so go there knowing your bass and you wont be disappointed.

I bought a wondererful Hannings and Rubinobass bow from these folks several months back, and I couldnt be happier. Today I drove 300 miles each way to put a bass on consignment with them, because they are worth the trip. Again, I was made to feel like gold.
