I reserved a trailer online only to show up and find out someone else came in and asked for the same trailer that morning so they canceled my order and gave the trailer to the other customer. Because our reservation was for a Sunday afternoon, so other places werent open, we were only in town for the day, and had to move everything out, so we had to throw much of our stuff away since we did not have a trailer, costing us a ton of money. I find it appalling that they would cancel a customers order simply to guarantee payment (to the customer at the physical store willing to pay) instead of holding it a few hours longer. Absolutely no regard for customer service.

I have rented a U-Haul for this morning to move from Houston to San Antonio and when I irrived to the location they have not the truck in the store. They did not give me the money its in the website if they dont have the truck. So I have to go to another store and pay 70 more for another truck 2 hours later. But then, there is no truk in the place they sent me. So they sent me to another place and there is no truck again!!!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH H-HAUL>>>>>>>> This is a mess!!!

Do not do business on this location I rented a moving truck and returned on time with full tank of gas and with the mileage that I said I was going to used for and they where supposed to refund me $51 the cashier lady told me if I had pay cash or card I told her card she did her thing and she told me insert your card for your refund so I did 2 weeks passed by and no refund on my bank account so I call a number for customer service and she call the store location to see what happen she call me back and said that the cashier gave me the refund in cash and told no she didnt so she said OK Im going to investigate the issue and will get back to you is been 3 months already no refund and I have contacted them several time by phone and email and no response at all. Go to the one on HWY 45 & Beltway 8 service is outstanding, professional, and honest.
Tried calling them to verify if they had somebody to refill my propane tank. Since I was 20 min away I decided to stay on the phone line while I drove there. Once I got there, there was no customers! Not understanding why the employee couldn’t answer the phone. Made me waste my time and gas! Only to tell me there was nobody that could refill for me!
Mele is the very best type of customer service provider. She is very patient and helpful. Give her a raise and promotion ASAP!
I dont think its fair to rate the location based on the companies price policy, so this review is solely about the location, which is 100% deserving of a 5 star rating. Theyre all really nice, very accommodating, and just downright good at what they do. I hopefully wont be moving again soon, but if I do Ill definitely be coming here
Do not rent here. First, they arent wearing masks when standing 2 feet from people, and when I asked if he could put one on, he made a face and completely ignored me. Then it turns out they gave the trailer I had reserved to someone else. When they finally found another trailer, it was faulty, same with the next one they found. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place.

Wonderful experience here. Carmen and Christina assisted me with my move. They were extremely kind and helpful. They went out of their way to satisfy the customer. These ladies are problem solvers! They are patient and professional. They go above and beyond what’s expected. Thank you Carmen and Christina for the white glove service!
This place is a joke. I rented a truck with them 2 months ago with no issues. Today was a different story. I came in to rent a 15 truck and the lady said that shed be right back, and then left the store. 10 minutes later she returned with no apology. The manager, Jake, is completely arrogant. He said they need 2 references since I have an out of state drivers license. 10 minutes later were good to go. Then he told me the total would be $119 for a $29.95 in-city rental. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with these people.
Spanish lady jessica tried to keep some of my change, but then gave it to me once i said yes i want my change..other Nice lady did ask if i needed help loading..location was empty not sure why uhaul didnt have change. Jessica need customer service training again could learn from co worker
1star.... I really wish I could rate it a 0. Horrible Horrible experience. I have rented here before a many of times and never experienced straight up rudeness from a Manager. Javier Galvez is the rudest General manager Ive ever came across( I was corrected..... Im the General Manager).First, when I arrived at the location my reservation was given to someone else. I asked if anything else could be done, being that it wasnt my fault, another representative truly tried to make a way for me to get a truck. He instructed her not to give me the truck that they had available and and told me to go to another locationand he refused to help me. His tone and attitude was very disrespectful not only to me but the employee as well. I will be contacting corporate, on this individual. But I would like to thank Tayauna and the other employees for being very professional and trying to come up with the a solution to the problem. Javier needs to be trained on how to relate to customers and his employees. I will never use this location ever again........

This place is a joke! I don’t understand how you have hundreds of trucks on the property and don’t have one just for a one way trip. They just seemed they didn’t want to help especially since the stupid app has sent us to 4 different stores that kept repeating the same BS!
Nobody showed us to the truck, they just gave us the keys. and although we said were going to New York, they gave us the worst truck ever. Seats dont move! no cruise control! how would someone drive 30 hours without cruise control? also the truck didnt have a lock! we had to buy our own. that was the one of the worst experiences ever!
My cousin and I rented a covered 6x12 trailer. Booked it 3 days in advance from the day we needed it. Asked the guy if it would be held for us. He answered yes. 2 days later while were packing things into boxes getting ready to just load them into the trailer the next day when we pick up the trailer we get a call back and were informed that the 6x12 covered trailer we booked wasnt available anymore. So I guess booking in advance really does nothing and the guy who had helped us words also meant nothing. Cancelled, refunded, and never going to come back for a trailer in a while.
So to be honest my experience wasnt that great. My truck had less fuel then it was supposed to have and the AC in the truck was on the fritz. These guys get five stars because they went out of their way to make things right. I complained when I turned the truck in. No less than 24 hrs later I get a call from the manager. They issued me a credit and apologize for the inconvenience. In the end I am a happy customer. :)

Employee Thomas needs training on what trailers can go one way and what are local. Initially was informed they wouldnt help me even though I had a reservation and drove all the way from San Antonio. He told me to call Uhaul even though he could have done it himself. After me calling and being put on hold he then explained that they could do one way for my reservation. He didnt even apologize for his mistake but instead let a customer walk out the door upset with Uhaul.
Horrible customer service reps .. Argumentative and unprofessional. The truck they rented us was not operable. They made us feel as if we were bothering them and not as if we were valued customers. Our rental took 2 hours and a trip to another Uhaul. The Uhaul on Veterans Memorial is the best. The representatives at the counter were apologetic for the Antoine location and VERY polite and understanding. Got us taken care of and repaired the problems we had on Antoine. After we returned the truck the manager gave us a substantial discount for our troubles and with that act created a lifetime customer and advocate. Great job Veterans memorial location. Used the website to reserve a truck for 3 days. Made the reservation a week+ ahead of schedule. The day before I was supposed to pick up the truck they call to say they cant honor the price quoted so they added $120 to the price and now I have to drop it off at a different location or I get charged even more. Its too late to make different plans with another company but I wont be going back to this location. Went from $89 to $200+ with an additional step... Garbage location.
I rented a truck at this U-Haul location and bought one item from the store. I paid all of the charges for that day and was told that the store closes at 7pm, but that as long as I returned the truck with the same level of gas by 9:45pm that day that there would be no further charges. I returned the truck at 7:15pm while the last employee was leaving the store and locking up. So I put the keys and the gas receipt in the drop box. The next morning I see an extra $35.45 charge on my credit card! I called the store to speak with the manager in customer service. When I told her of the charges on my card she says that the extra charges occur because when the employees get to the store in the morning they report that the equipment is returned that day and that the system automatically charges the person for an extra day. So even though my contract says I have until 9:45pm to return the truck, in actuality you have until 7pm or they automatically charge you for an extra day if you arent checking your credit card for charges. That is something that they dont tell you and I would have gotten scammed if I didnt look at my cards pending charges.But thats not all. The customer service lady has a bad attitude with me the whole time and tells me that they will only return $29.95 of the money. She says that I went over the mileage by 3.3 miles and those are the extra charges. However, on the contract it says that you are only charged $0.69 per mile so that would have only been $2.30 extra. They are still charging me an extra $3.20! She says that those are the taxes on the extra mileage fee. Well hello lady I can do math. Taxes on $2.30 at 8.25% are only $0.19. I should have only been charged an extra $2.49 total for going over the miles. Overall they end up returning only $31.56 of the money, even though they owed me $32.96. She ends up charging me an extra $1.40 because either she cant or refuses to do the math.The only redeemable thing about the situation is that they offered me a $15 gift card at U-Haul, which is the only reason that I am leaving a 2 star review. They sent it directly to my email address so I dont have to wait for it in the mail. Overall I had a fairly decent experience but I wanted to warn others to check their card statements since there system is automatically set up to charge you for the next day if you bring the truck back after 7pm either though they will tell you that you have until 9:45pm, and will even write it on the contract. If they would just fix their system, there would never have been an issue. Because of this experience I don’t know if I will even be going back to U-Haul again, especially at that location.

Worst customer service i have ever received. Jake should definately change his job because i see that he is really not happy with what he is doing. I was using uhaul for my business purposes over 3 years so far, however this location made me decide not to use uhaul no more. This guy made us wait there over 30min and get other people front of us. It is just mess mess mess, dont go there and waste your time pls. I hope his MANAGER will read this!!
My second bad experience with this location...my mother passed and I had to use them as a last resort. .should have went to the veterans memorial location.....I made reservations for a full day rental over the phone...get there and I was told I could only use it from 10 to 6pm.... explain to Melanie what was going on and that I really really needed 24 hours...by this time I have waisted 3 hours of the day that I needed to get things done...she asked me to get the truck....call back later and they should have other trucks back.... I called at 3.... Melanie asked me to speak to manager CLARA THIBEDAUX ...and she did not even try to help...or listen....she didnt take the time to look in the system....and she BOLD FACE LIED to me...when I asked to make reservations for another the same day she said I could not have two rentals out...when I called the regional office they said that is not true...she made a already messed day worse.. just being inconsiderate and impatient....now I have to spend more money and time to clear my deceased mothers house...and without the help that I already had at the time.... THANKS CLARA THIBEDAUX!!!! For ALL your help and patience...

Claimed that everybody knew how to hook a a hitch and install. When it came to show and prove, nobody knew what the hell they were doing except 1 person who was called to come in last min. I quickly canceled my rsvation & sought out professionals.

Waited a long time to refill propane. Left after about 30 minutes to go to a different location just to refill propane. Their price is actually higher than other places anyways.

Really really rude ccustomer service to be exact his name was Michael eating while he was trying to talk us in to renting what we didnt need because he didnt have the truck size we did needed. We end up renting a bigger truck after all because it was late in the afternoon and we need to move just some boxes will never come bck to this location NEVER!
