Everyone was very professional and friendly. The job was done as promised. Will always go back for future projects, thanks to all!!! My kitchen looks fabulous!
If you are looking to redo your kitchen counters, I would not recommend using Erskine’s. The staff was nice enough and ultimately I am happy with the finished product even though it is not what I set out to achieve nor is it what I was promised from the beginning. The journey to complete the project was confusing, stressful and frustrating and Erskine’s was the root cause at every touchpoint. There were delay’s with the materials that were out of Erskine’s control; however, the way they handled those delays and communicated through them is what made the experience so bad. My project was escalated and in the end was being handled by the “top manager” according to the Erskine’s team. While dealing with “the top” I realized the frustrations and issues I was experiencing were not isolated to the designers and sales team, but was a company culture that was trickling down from the top. Erskine’s is not a company that is customer-focused, they do not care about the satisfaction of their customers and they are not willing to be flexible or work to find a resolution. They are poor communicators and they don’t seem to have any familiarity with project management. I hate writing bad reviews, but I could not let this experience go without sharing. I had obtained quotes for my countertop project from several company’s and ultimately decided to go with Erskine’s who was significantly more in cost, solely on the recommendations of acquaintances. This is a decision I regret and a mistake I will not make again.
Very knowledgeable staff who make home projects much easier! We greatly enjoyed working with them to renovate our flooring.
Raul and his assistant installed 4 rooms of carpeting in September. They did a great job; we are very happy with the install. They were workhorses and were very efficient. An added plus is that they were polite too.
Lisa Sletten was a very sweet designer to work with at Erskines. She is very patient & thoughtful as she listens to your choices & concerns & makes knowledgeable suggestions that I found to be very helpful!
Lisa was very helpful in picking out colors that would match my walls and new furniture. She was patient with all my indecision about what to do with the flooring. She spent lots of time with me over a few weeks, before I made a final decision. The carpet installers, Raul and his partner whose name I did not get, were INCREDIBLE. They worked so hard, took my bed apart that I was supposed to do ( i did not know how) and moved my very heavy furniture. They were cheerful and pleasant and personable and respectful. They do great work, carpet is perfectly laid and they asked questions before doing anything specifically different, like in the closet. Also asked before moving other furniture outdoors. They worked hard and professionally. I would hire them in an instant to do anything for me. Both of the installers earned their paycheck and deserve a fat raise or bonus.
Who knew that buying a new kitchen floor could be so much fun! Our designer, Lisa, and her partner, was fantastic to work with. Lisa not only helped us find the perfect material for our floor, but she patiently guided us as our minds, and our design, changed until we settled on the perfect look. Todd was also a hoot to work with when he came out to our house to measure. All in all, Erskine Interiors has been a great company to work with, and I can’t wait to see the finished product!
Lisa made our flooring experience easy and enjoyable. We appreciated her time and effort in guiding us through the selection process. Dan, the installer, did a quality job. We look forward to working with them for our future flooring needs.
Great guys, great job, great service. They did my entire main floor (tear out and install) in 2 days!! Great work...floors look beautiful.
The service we received from Erskines was excellent. Our sales consultant was very knowledgeable and helpful. The installers were equally as excellent. They did a great job installing our flooring and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. We will use them again for our next project
Marie helped me pick out my new carpet and pad appropriate for my pets. Steve came and measured. Raul and Jose installed it and left my house spotless. They had me inspect the process at a couple of keys times. Wonderful, friendly guys who were very polite and personable. Thank you!
Brandon at the Woodbury location made our flooring purchase flawless. He helped me choose the best fit for my style and budget, stayed late to make sure I was happy and even helped me out to my vehicle with multiple samples. The quality of the flooring is nothing short of amazing! That was important to us with pets and kids. We have worked with him twice in recent months and won’t have to ever go anywhere else. I visited many flooring stores in my flooring endeavor and Brandon at Erskine was the very best hands down! Thank you so much Brandon, we LOVE our new flooring!
Mallory and Steve were so wonderful to work with from the selection process to delivery of our flooring selection. Mallory was very patient, asked questions and listened to my vision for flooring while providing just the right amount of guidance with her product knowledge. Thank you, Mallory!
Our experience with Erskine Interiors was satisfactory in every way. Lisa was knowledgeable about the floor choices. Dan did quality work installing our floor. Thanks, Mitch and Eileen
Great company with which to work! Great service through the entire process, from selection to installation. In particular, the installers were terrific! It was satisfying to “shop local”. We are very satisfied with the entire process!
First I’d like to say I absolutely loved Marie in the Hudson location! She was a gem, very kind and helpful. What I don’t like is the fact they encouraged me to purchase more flooring than I needed “just incase” and that I could return it if unopened..... now that it’s time to return 7 unopened boxes this policy seems to not exist. I’m fairly disappointed that I spent an extra $700. I was planning on spending much more than this for our backsplash and counters but will not do business with this company ever again. As a local business owner I completely understand return policies and a business needing to make profit I would be more than happy to pay a restocking fee but to flat out not accept unopened product is ridiculous.
I was aware of some reviews that were not particularly good about Erskine Interiors. I was a little hesitant at first, but I was impressed with the store and selection. I went first to the Woodbury Store and worked with Brandon. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I decided to work with him. My experience was absolutely wonderful. I ordered wood flooring for our main level and tile for our entry. Everything came in on time (even early). The installers for both the wood floors and the tile came on schedule and they worked very hard and finished in 2 days. Their work was perfect. Brandon was always easy to reach, (within reason), always returned my calls promptly. The only snafu we ran into was the wrong color of grout came with the tile. BUT after one call, a representative from Erskines in Hudson (I live in Hudson) was at my home within a few minutes to look at the situation and brought color samples to make sure the right color grout would be selected. She returned a little later with the right color grout and the job was finished on time, I have been very impressed and grateful for their timely responses and good workmanship. I would not hesitate to work with them again.
The sales people were very helpful and friendly of course because they want your money. The installation people were at my house until 9:30 and I had to ask them to leave because my three kids were upset with all the pounding and they had school the next day. The installers did not staple where the stairs meet the floorinng at the bottom of my stairs and left staples on the floor. There was another lump of carpet in one of the bedrooms where they messed up where the carpet meets the floor. Cheap labor.
Marie helped me choose tile for our bathroom. She was so nice, and very knowledgable and was a big help. Theres so much out there, she knows what youre looking for. Great service, very professional too! I would highly recommend them!!
When I walked into the Hudson store in December and was greeted by the wonderful Marie, I became extremely excited about a remodel for my retirement home. I went all out, spent over $30000 and ended up purchasing all new floors, bathroom, sinks, countertops, and backsplash. Despite the fact that there are many bad reviews posted on-line about this business, I loved the products and loved Marie, so I took a chance. Unfortunately, this has been the worst choice Ive made in my 66 years. Communication is non existent. Boxes and tools and garbage were left in my living room for over a month before I could get anyone to return, collect the trash and repair damage to walls, cover exposed pipes, etc. I kept one case of extra flooring and returned five cases. Not only did they charge me for this overage (they argued that I would need it in the future) they charged me labor for this flooring still in the boxes, resulting in a total extra cost of over $1000. Can you image how much money this amounts to if their practice is to nick every flooring customer for an extra 1000 bucks? Quite a profit, indeed! The job is not yet done. Despite sending 3 emails, the owner Todd Erskine has completely ignored me. Heather sent me an email offering $300 and an insincere apology and ridiculous excuse. I want the job finished and I want my money refunded. Please be warned. There are so many more ethical businesses out there in this area who respect and appreciate their customers.
Very pleased with the quality of work of the contracted installers for our kitchen remodel. Both Gale (flooring) and Eric (tile) did excellent work, with great attention to detail. The whole project took a bit longer than we expected, however (almost 2.5 months from the date of our original deposit to project completion). The total amount of actual time involved in the project was less than 3 work days-- one day for flooring, 2 half days for tile, and a half day for countertops. Disappointing that better scheduling couldnt have compressed that. But we are very satisfied with the quality of work and the outcome of the project.
Ms. Marie Berry was just great. She was very patient in helping select what I was looking for. She was professional in every step of the process. Highly recommended!!
Erskine in Hudson, specifically Marie, was so helpful in walking us through our vision and getting us samples to take home. She was so easy to work with and most importantly easy to get in touch with via phone, email or in person.
Terrible experience. Lost our measurements and never could get a quote. Sales service was exceptionally bad with being put on hold and no return calls. Had to get refund and went elsewhere.
Thank you, Amanda, for your personalized attention to us. After the installation is completed, Ill let you know how everything went. This is just the first step in our remodeling, so we will probably be seeing a lot of each other!
I really would like to compliment a beautiful job install with the carpet installersAngel and Raul !! Thank you for your professional workmanship !!
The sales staff in Hudson really knows their products. I couldnt have made a decision without their help as there are too many options! Scheduling was smooth and our first project was completed on time. Shouldnt have pushed my luck...
Best place for flooring! Every job is in reality “Custom” after all and these folks are the ones for that need!
I was just here. Im a contractor. And they were gonna charge me $4.50 a sq ft for a vinyl laminate. I wont be back
Designer’s, Lisa Sletten, knowledge on a huge selection of products, product pros and cons, and selection of complimentary colors, textures, and design balance were very good. The designer managed product selections within our constraints of quality and cost. Our project included kitchen and bathroom countertops, hardwood flooring, and carpeting. We received higher quality products with lower pricing than the big home improvement retailers, and the designer’s product knowledge far exceeded these retailers.Provided superior installers that did quality workmanship. Managed installation timeline on a large project very well. We decided to make a change during installation, and they came through to make it happen flawlessly. Bottom line...we are very happy and pleased.
Terrible service. They cancelled a tile installation the day BEFORE the work was to take place. They gave me an incorrect time was the workman was to arrive - I waited 8 additional hours, only to be told by the workman that I didnt want to pick up the phone. The people laying the rug told me they werent being paid enough to do the work. When the work was done, the employees stole leftover materials that I had purchased. And, to add injury to insult, they contacted me 3 weeks - after I had written multiple letters, and told me there would be a settlement payment. Guess what - Im still waiting to get that check. Liars.
Great Experience! We brought in samples of our cabinets and Lisa S. did the rest. Lisa spent many hours with us to find what we were looking for since we went in with a blank slate and didnt know what we wanted. Lisa helped us come up with four different flooring types, two different counter tops, backsplash, and sinks to create the look we wanted for our cabin. Had a snag in the installation and that was remedied right away and they were back out the very next day to correct. Id highly recommend Erskin Interiors and especiall Lisa S.
I got beautiful carpet at a low price, and the installation team was friendly and efficient
Recently completed replacing countertops and backsplash in my kitchen. From design to completion the process was seamless. Lisa at Hudson listened to my vision and helped me find the perfect products to meet my needs. The scheduling was very smooth and everyone showed up on time, were very neat and organized, answered any questions I had, and completed their jobs on time. The Cambria countertop is perfect and Select Services did an amazing installation. The tile work is impeccable and the installer took great pride in doing in a quality job. I could not be happier with the finished product!
BUYER BEWARE. A sub-contractor for Erskine broke a water line in our bathroom when installing laminate flooring. The installers spoke little to no English. The subfloor was inspected prior to the install and the subflooring did not need to be pulled up. I told them this multiple times by pointing, saying no, and shaking my head. In spite of this, the installer pulled the subfloor up and when doing so, broke the water supply lines to the toilet and sink in 3 places. They did not come downstairs for several minutes to tell me what happened. After I shut the main water supply off, I went upstairs and observed them sweeping water down the bathroom heat vent. Our home was flooded from upper level to basement. TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF DAMAGE. Walls, cabinets, ceiling, furnace. All need to be replaced. Our main floor was gutted to the studs. No one from Erskine has stepped up to offer any type of assistance. They just tell us to go through our home owners insurance claim. It is April 5. We have been displaced from our home since 3/2/19-living in a hotel with our pets. On top of this, they tried to charge us a floor prep fee when the house was dried out and they came to do the install. I had to fight to get this fee refunded. At a minimum, they should be reimbursing us the installation fee. We have incurred lost wages, mileage expenses and other expenses that are not covered through our insurance claim. So sad that a local company who has been in business for so many years will just turn their head to good people who are suffering because of NEGLIGENCE. We will keep talking and will keep posting until someone from Erskine steps up to make this right. Do your research on this company, its owner, its employees, its sub contractors before working with them. Sadly, I trusted them and am now paying a hefty price. UPDATE 7/5/2019: The subcontractor that Erskine HIRED to do the installation did not pay their insurance premium and their carrier has therefore denied the claim that is now in subrogation. So now the claim sits with Erskines insurance company. STILL WAITING TO RECOUP MY $2,500 DEDUCTIBLE AFTER YOU CAUSED TENS OF THOUSAND OF DOLLARS OF DAMAGE TO OUR HOME BY HIRING A SUB CONTRACTOR WHO DID NOT HAVE ACTIVE INSURANCE. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO, ERSKINE? MAKE IT RIGHT AND PAY THE CLAIM? I will continue to update so all potential customers are informed of how you choose to handle this. I WANT MY $2,500 DEDUCTIBLE!!!!!!
Horrible Customer Service!!! I went there today and was looking to purchase carpet TODAY! Well... the one girl who was not busy didnt know much about carpet and the other girl was helping a customer and then DECIDED to help a different customer that walked in AFTER me! I asked for a price quote and I didnt get it until I walked PAST her on my way out. Very frustrated.
Easy to get to. Very friendly people
I have done a complete remodel of my home with Erskines, including hardwood flooring, carpet, tile and luxury vinyl planking. After the project was complete, i was so impressed with the sales staff, all of which were more than willing to help me, that i did a complete cabinet remodel with new Cambria counter-tops. When spending the kind of money it takes to transform my home, i am always on the defense for potential problems. All parts of my project were FLAWLESS. This has been the most pleasurable experience i have had with any major purchase. Prices were spot on as well. I have referred several friends and family, and they have made purchases with Erskines as well without a hiccup. Well done!! You guys made me feel at home and welcome and treated me like family. Amazing job. Thank you!
Great service and very nice people
The owner is rude, and dismissive.
