Hours of operation says 6pm.We get there at 5:31 & are informed ice cream is closed down.. cant imagine turning down customers with greater than 25 mins remaining, especially when small businesses need more support and help than ever right now.Had it been 5:55pm, itd be a lot more understandable.Good luck!Edit: Owner says its hard to hire workers - well, if you paid them better and the place didnt look like it was about to crumble. 1 Employees would stay longer and 2. You might get more business.
So happy this place just opened! We went to Slice House for dinner, then headed nextdoor for some arcade games and Ice Cream; it makes a great date night! The arcade is connected to the game store, so you can browse their large collection of gaming systems and games for consoles old and new. There is a cash-to-quarters machine where you can get money to play the games. The staff were all very nice and THE ICE CREAM. I think they have 50 flavors? And this is not your chocolate, vanilla, strawberry with some junky sorbet thrown in...no, these flavors are gourmet and delicious! They have banana pudding cookie, salted caramel oreo, toffee butterscotch crunch. These were gourmet flavors and the ones I tried were delicious! I think the pricing for the ice cream was good, you get a lot and we paid about $8-$9 total for two large size servings. I highly recommend you check it out - for the ice cream, for the arcade games, for a fun night out!
These guys are kicking butt at getting this place great! New games are added on a weekly basis! Most games are only a quarter. It’s all really clean too! Our boys love the Hersey’s branded ice cream. Keep it up, we support you weekly!
Awesome 80s/90s style arcade plus ice-cream parlor. Everything is very reasonable and the folks are super nice. Connected to the video game store as well. A great local business with lots of fun for all ages.
Its businesses like this that make downtown Huntsville what it is today. Beautifully renovated with an excellent retro game selection and every game is a single quarter at the time of this review. This signals the desire to profit but to ensure kids and adults can all have the fun they want. Game selection is great and they are constantly working on a stock of other machine that could come online any time. The game shop connected to this place is equally fantastic. Probably one of the best game shops Ive ever been to. Its not just games but any and all things related. Ive found several things here to decorate and enhance my game room at home.
Great selection of Hershey’s hard scoop ice cream . Affordable. Fun atmosphere. A lot of arcade games for the entire family to enjoy and they cost what they used to cost per play! (25 cents to 50 cents)Go check them out! They also own the video game store next door. Support local businesses!
First time eating at Scoop World as today was their first day open. Immediately blown away by the amount of arcade machines at your disposal to play while enjoying your ice cream. The staff were fixing some up and ironing out some kinks, which is normal for their first day! The staff is friendly, and the ice Cream is amazing! Prices were just right, ice cream was just right. I bought a couple of cones for my coworkers and they absolutely raved over it. I highly recommend this after getting pizza from the cute little pizza joint right beside it. I will be a regular.
Incredible! We went the other day right after Discovery place & it had such a nostalgic feel with the old arcade games of my childhood. Additionally, I am so stoked to find an ice cream place that FINALLY contains tons of flavors I would actually eat! Usually these types of places have tons of choices but these were no joke all the right ones, haha! The guy working (sorry didn’t catch his name!) was super friendly and accommodating & patient as we had a large family. Found our new favorite little ice cream joint!!
Very good place for ice cream and cool retro arcade games. Sadly a lot of the arcade machines have problems and or are broken.
Good experience. Gentleman behind the counter was very nice.
What a great place for downtown! Tons of ice cream choices and old school arcade games. All the video games my kids and I played were 25¢ a game, which was a nice break from the ridiculous prices the big corporate game centers charge.
This place is amazing, they went through so much effort to get, repair, and setup old arcade games for the arcade, the game selection is great and it is nice that you can go to their console game store nextdoor via a doorway they put in
The bathroom was a horror …
