Got me a boss special edition SE Big Flyer (blue camo). This is my 2nd SE bike. The bike came in about a week via UPS. I love the colors and the bike is so smooth. Very great customer service! I ordered the wrong size bike and I reached out to customer service and received a prompt response. Shipping was also quick! I took a ride today and was rather impressed! I love the color and the bike is super light weight. Only downside is that the bike doesn’t have a kick stand.

Just got the bike today fresh out the box. Was going to give them 3 stars but due to shipping and something else(will explain later) i gave them 4. as u can see by the pics, all these scratches came out the box. The weird part is they were all under the frame covers. The seat was the worse. Intailly was going to give them 2 to 3 stars but the shipment included black paint to cover any scratches so that was a good convience. Still, i dont think a brand new bik should come scratched like this when the box itself was in pristine condition and all the scratches were behind covered protection. Would i shop with them again? maybe but the negative reviews that are here are 100% warranted.

I purchased a Cult Devotion 26 BMX Bike 2022 - RAW / 26 for my son. Beautiful bike. My son loved it. Came across a little issue when unboxing due to shipping but I immediately send out and e-mail and received a response same day and my problem was fixed. Was the only place that showed the bike I wanted in stock, and also $50 cheaper than almost everywhere else that even carries it. Bike arrived quickly, even with it being shipped to the east coast. Ran into an issue with adjustments on the pre-assembled portion of the bike, but the customer service email was great. They went out of their way to help me get the issue resolved and ensure I was satisfied with my purchase. Would not hesitate to order from again.

I ordered a Haro bike over the weekend. I checked the website and the order had not been fulfilled. I called within 3 business days of placing the order to request a different color on the bike since it hasnt been fulfilled. The customer service person didnt even listen to my request but instead told me that it takes up to 5 business days to complete the order. I said thats fine and not what I am asking about. I had to repeat my request. The CS person said well I can cancel the order and refund your money and you can reorder the bike you want. I told him that wasnt something I wanted to do as I tried the Affirm program they have. All he said was sorry thats all I can do, is there anything else. I said nope. Its ridiculous that a simple request cant be done and they want me to go through all the purchase process again. They get 2 stars only because they had the bike in stock and have a nice website.

Bad customer service all around. I received a bike I paid over $1k and it had a bent frame. I offers to accept another color if they could contain the manufacturer(who had other colors available) and they refused to help me out. They wouldn’t even let us talk they told us they sent a return label and that was that. And they clearly stated they did not care about yelp review. Be careful buying from this company they don’t care about making their customers happy and obviously don’t know what “drop ship” means or how to properly ship a bike. If I could give them no starts I would. Rosa was way too rude over the phone (let me add throne had 3 other colors on their site and they didn’t even try to work with them to get me a new one) don’t lie to the people 😴

I had a disappointing experience, but based on other reviews I hope that your experience will be better. I ordered a bike with standard delivery. There was no indication that a signature would be required, and the bike was returned to sender before I learned of the delivery attempts.I offered to pick up the bike, which they would not allow, leaving my only option to pay twice to ship the same bike or receive a refund minus shipping costs (25% of the bike cost). A simple, signature required notice on the order confirmation would have made a lot of difference. Even Amazon provides this.Ultimately I paid money but received no product.

The bike arrived earlier than expected but the customer service here is terrible! Read the warranty clause in your bike. Unless it’s installed by a licensed bike retailer they’re not honoring any warranty. The crank arm broke in less than 30 days of owning it and I’m out the replacement part with zero help from customer service. Might as well go to a brick and mortar store to purchase so you get better help if something fails

My review is based on phone customer service and online.I called on a Thursday morning to see if they were open to the public because their website stated that they were not. The guy that answered said they are not due to COVID but also because they are moving. He said it was best to order online. I ordered a bike online (that I couldn’t find anywhere else.) FREE shipping and got it that same Saturday. I couldn’t have asked for any faster. And the guy I spoke with was amazing.

Had a few quality control problems but they eventually made it right. The first bike I received had a damaged frame. City Grounds refunded and exchanged the bike, but the second bike arrived with the wrong tires. They reimbursed me for the cost of the wrong tires and for my mechanics time. Elijah (Eli) in customer service is a very good dude and helped me get what I needed.

City Grounds is all things bicycle, and all done well! CG is an awesome place to get bikes, bike parts, apparel and more. I just got my first bicycle since childhood. I discovered City Grounds rather quickly and have had about a half a dozen orders with them so far. They have cool products plus great prices, with friendly and capable customer service. I accidentally ordered a size 2X riding shirt and it turned out to be a children’s 2X.City Grounds was kind enough to give me a full refund, no restocking fee and they were even cool enough to pay for the return shipping. That went a long way with me to earn my loyalty. Thank you manager Matt, for that one! The rest of my experiences with this company have also been outstanding. Thank you Elijah. I highly recommend this awesome spot for most all of your bicycle needs. They even make special colab versions of bikes with cool companies like SE Bikes and Schwinn. I ordered two bikes from City Grounds. One bike that I ordered ended up not being in stock, due to an error. They worked quickly to help me select a different bike that was in stock. As soon as the bikes went to UPS for shipping, a freak winter storm hit Texas. City Grounds was very communicative through the process of helping track down when my bikes would arrive (thanks Elijah, for all your help). When the bikes arrived, they were exactly what I wanted.

We received the bike damaged(see pictures attached). I try to put it together but the frame was bent and the back wheel would not fit. It was then when I noticed dents and scratches on the back fork. I contacted them and their replay was Try to bend it back. I had to beg for a return label. When I received the return label it says that if they receive the bike damaged I will be charged a re-stocking fee. I am now worried about trying to put everything back in the box. I am not a bike expert i dont know how to bend frames and properly box bikes.We bought a new bike and I expected a new bike. I also expect them to make it right. It is acceptable for them to ignore the fact they sent a damaged product but then charged to receive a damaged product.I have little faith I will be getting all my money back. When talking to the costumer services representative, they made it seemed as if receiving a damaged bike due to transport was a very common thing. I would not recommend purchasing from them given the way this was handled.

Never order from them. There’s no where it says you can cancel order until you pay for it. There’s no information released until you pay for it. The guy says they have different email addresses but yet you want to charge me for shipping fees. I tried to cancel and return all in 24 hours no way to get ahold of them. Very poor Coustomer service.

I can’t say enough about City Grounds and their customer service. I had an issue with UPS losing the bike in transit during the COVID crisis and everyone I dealt with at CG went above and beyond any and all of my expectations and made sure I got the bike I paid for. I have 4 bikes now that I have gotten from City Grounds and They have always been great to deal with. When friends and followers online hit me up regarding where to get a good bike and a great price I always tell them about my positive interactions with CG and suggest getting a bike from them.

Amazing custom service!!! Bought last year an electric bike that was having issues with its battery, but Paul from CityGrounds kept checking with the manufacturers and me for FOUR MONTHS until the problem was actually properly resolved by them. I received my bike this week from this company, the frame was bent and cracked. I cant even assemble the bike its so bent. Ive been trying to call customer service and they have me on an autyreply saying They dont have time to respond even though they already have my money...I cant call or email to get a refund or exchange, so I have a broken bike with a bunch of pieces on my living room floor.I wanna choke whoever sent me this, and the fact that I cant even get a response to a I need an exchange email proves theyre a trash company.They took my money, and disappeared.Hate these guys. I had to buy two bike frames because I crashed the first one and both times their customer support was awesome. They answer all your questions and are very prompt with responses. Frames arrived in perfect condition as well. The only downside is they use FedEx which means the package will arrive like 3 days later than what it initially says.All in all, awesome customer service made this a 5 star review.

Terrible customer service! I ordered a bike and it was delivered with a bent frame. I submitted an email with photos and never received a response. Once I called, they offered to take back the old one and send out another one. Over a week later and I have heard nothing from them. I called to see what was going on, was told they had received the bike and would be sending out a refund. When asking about the bike I was supposed to be sent, they said it was out of stock which is why they were refunding the purchase. Why say they will send out a new one if they dont have it??? Please find another business to support when looking for a bike.

This is about my shopping experience: while shopping they move the select bar to where the size option was so that when you select the size of the bike you place it in the shopping cart. Then when viewing the shopping cart the empty shopping cart button is grayed out. I know its small stuff but it feels like they are playing gotcha with the site.

BUYER TAKE NOTICE!Worst customer service ever. Received the box damaged. Luckily the bike wasnt. Had it assembled but unfortunately the bike was too big so I had it returned. I Had to pay UPS 100 DOLLARS TO SHIP IT BACK!! Customer service never offered me a return Label and didnt explain the return process well.When they received the bike...... it was damaged. THEY TOLD ME IT WAS MY FAULT NOT UPS!!!!AND I HAD TO PAY A $50 RESTOCK WHICH THEY NEVER TOLD ME IN THE BEGINNING.THE INCONSIDERATE MANAGER THAT CALLED ME SAID HE CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT THE SHIPPING ($100) OR THE RESTOCK FEE ($50) BECAUSE OF THE DAMAGE!THESE SCAMMERS ROBBED ME OF $150 DOLLARS WHAT A MESS.IVE SEEN BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AT A CVS!These people are willing to screw up there reputation over $150 instead of taking care of the customer.

I ordered a 27.5 Redline BMX bike last spring from city grounds. The shipping was a bit delayed due to Covid, but CG kept me up to speed on the shipping status. Once my bike arrived it was missing a crank bolt from the manufacturer. I reached out to customer service and was contacted by Paul K. Paul did anything and everything to get me the proper crank bolt and even sent me one from a different manufacturer so I could ride till the OEM part was available. Awesome customer service and I will definitely purchase from City Grounds again.

Great customer service! I highly recommend this shop to anyone! I wanted a SE Bikes x CG Collaboration bike and when I went to pull the trigger, they were temporarily out of stock. I emailed in and they promptly got back to me with a link to their page and was able to purchase one. Not only was the follow up communication prompt, they were polite and knowledgeable. I had the best online experience purchasing my new bike with City Grounds. I have been searching everywhere for months, online and In store. Most places were either backordered or sold out. I received an email about inventory and went online to check out what they had. I found a nice Hard Tail and made my purchase. Two days later my new bike arrived. Assembly was pretty easy. It was about 85 percent done and took roughly 45 minutes to put everything together with an Allen wrench set. Handle bars, Front Brakes, front wheel and seat post was the only thing needed to be installed. Don’t forget to purchase lube!

Awful experience! I ordered a bike online with this company & although the payment was issued & the order was placed they didnt have the product I ordered! So they took money out of my account, sent me a congratulation on your order email with details about the tracking & all.. After a few days I decided to find the tracking of my order. No tracking was provided so I emailed the company. sent a detailed email & got back a blank email.. sent back a re: of that same email & was told the item I order, the item they took money for was no longer available & that they could offer me a refund or a comparable bike. SO basically they took my money for something they didnt have, didnt tell me they didnt have that item & when I reached out to them they wanted to keep my business by offering me another on of their products. I wouldnt ever do business with such an irresponsible company. For the resolution of this to be buy something else or leave with your pockets empty for 3-7 days is such a back handed way of saying too bad its laughable. I just wonder what they would have done had I not contacted them regarding my order.. couldnt imagine it would be anything better than what theyve proven theyre willing to do. FTC should spend some time with the owner of this company.

Purchased a brand new Cinelli touring bike, that arrived in great condition and on the timeline expected. However, my one qualm is that it took 1.5+ years to get back the Price Match Guarantee difference. It was quite a long process in doing so just be aware of that if thats a concern.Other than that, being that Im in Northern CA, I was happy to see my bike arrive on time and as expected.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!I understand the nation is in a bit of a difficult situation currently with covid19, but there is no excuse for how this company operates. I know they have people still working in the warehouse and also people answering phones. I purchased a bike on 4/12. I see the charge on my card for $600. I still have no bike, and now no one will answer my calls or email. How convenient they take my money very quickly, but havent mailed my stuff. They wont even tell me why its delayed or try to compensate to make it better. I will never purchase from this company again and I strongly suggest you dont either!!

Purchased a Cinelli Vigorelli Shark frame from them. Being that it is a pricey frame compared the others they sell, you would think that they would want to deliver it in perfect condition. When I received my frame, the seat tube was bent. Luckily enough, I am handy with tools and managed to correct the tube. Point is, there’s no care taken into account when handling customers items, especially those that cost $1000+. Be cautious when buying from them online, opt out to pick it up if you can.

Back in April my son wanted to get an SE bike; he looked around and found one that he liked. It was the Beast Mode, so we ordered it. Several weeks went by and we haven’t heard nothing. Sent an email to city grounds, within 24 hours I received and email and a phone call from Paul K. He was very polite and apologetic to the fact that I did not hear anything for such a long time.Paul informed me that the Beast Mode that my son wanted was damaged and it was the last one. I told my son this he was upset, he worked hard and saved his money to buy that bike ( at the age of 13). We looked online and saw that SE was coming out with the Dub Monster, he was ok with getting it, it cost a couple hundred more. I told him I would front him the difference in money. We called and spoke with Paul, told him that he was he going with the Dub Monster. Since the Dub Monster was coming out in late May, he’d half to wait. Friday before Memorial Day, Paul called and said the Dub Monster was in and also they received 3 Beast Mode. My son was stoked that he was getting the bike he wanted originally. The bike had to be shipped from Cali to NJ Paul called again to let me know it was shipped, called when it got to the mechanic, it was delivered Friday, 29 May.It took a total of 6 weeks from start to finish. I know it shouldn’t have taken this long, even with this pandemic, but communication was key in this whole process. Paul’s dedication to his company is beyond reproach. Update - The owner of this business(Mr.Ku) is an extremely professional and respectable man. This is a local bike shop that does a GREAT job both in state and online but has been affected by Covid(like many businesses right now).If you decide to order ANYTHING in the midst of this storm please be patient and realize that some businesses are understaffed and dealing with huge influxes of new online business.I wish you the absolute best Paul and if I’m ever in CA I’ll pass by so we can chit chat and talk shop. 12 days still nothing has been shipped. Can’t reach out to anyone and have them respond in a timely manner. Refund my money and I’ll delete the review. I’ve ordered 2 other bikes days later and received those bikes 6 days ago. I’m furious waiting and missing all biking events. Refund me expeditiously please.

I ordered a bike during the heat of uncertainty with Covid-19 and was nervous after not getting a confirmation email on the bike and not being able to reach City Ground staff through email or phone for a few days. When I did reach staff they were very helpful and courteous and apologized for the slow communication due to all the changes during this time. My bike came within 2 weeks all the way to Minnesota and arrived in great condition. Thanks!

I just bought a bike for my husband. From the beginning, customer service was great. I had it assembled before I picked it up, assembly was prompt, pick up was easy and the gentleman that helped me during the pick up was nice and helpful. The way I see it, its a great value for what it is, good starter bike. Id buy a bike from City Grounds again.

Used to walk into City Grounds when they had their two brick and mortar retail stores still in Orange County! Miss those days!!! So recently when my sister ask me to find my nephews 2 bikes I ended up ordering a balance bike and a 20 SE bikes from their website and had it shipped up to SF! They got it shipped pretty quick and arrived in 2 days! Made my nephews happy and made me happy knowing they werent riding on a walmart or target quality bikes haha!

This is the short version. Ordered a bike several weeks ago. Should’ve been delivered to a local mechanic in the state where I reside for assembly and delivery to my home. Instead the mechanic rejected the delivery and the bike was shipped back to California. It took three emails and two thirty minute phone calls (waiting) before I spoke with a representative. Only options I received were to have the bike resent to the mechanic and wait another several weeks for assembly and delivery, receive a refund, or put the bike together myself. The young lady that I spoke with couldn’t care less if I got the bike or not. This was evident if both her tone and eagerness to get me off the call.Requested a phone call from the supervisor Eric. Still haven’t received any correspondence. I guess I will will need to get in contact with Paul Ku (owner).

Called in during CV19 quarantine. Im very green to the BMX world, so needed guidance. Erik walked me through the process with great knowledge, customer service, and personality. He gave me recommendations on what to purchase and gave me tips on things I may need or want as my knowledge and ability for the sport increases. I purchased my first BMX in decades today, and Erik & City Grounds couldnt have made it any easier or more comfortable. I plan on patronizing this place for all of my BMX needs for the foreseeable future!In short... Im Happy! Call them... Youll be happy too! :-)

I used to ride SE Bikes when I was in like 6th-9th grade and recently my same group of friends I rode with then, decided to get back into riding 25 years later. Been looking for a bike for a few months and finally settled on the SE Maniacc Flyer. Placed my order a little over a week ago and the bike showed up today. Even more incredible in person. Was worried with everything going on in the world that their website stock may not be accurate or that shipping could take a month, but literally everything was perfect. Will definitely buy from again and will send my other buddies to CG for their new whips....

I purchased the scooter, which was noted as being on sale for $9.95, regular price $60. I would like to suggest that, if City Grounds wants to maintain a good reputation, they stop selling this scooter. It is definitely not worth $9.95, and much less $60. Cheap, doesnt stand straight up, broken out the box shaky and doesnt fold up without unscrewing a bolt completely off. Dont waste your $9.95.I sent them an email. We will see if they respond.They responded. I increased the stars for the customer service. They were helpful in responding. I fixed the scooter myself and got it to work once they explained what the problem was. For $9.95 I cant complain. I would just suggest maybe putting a sticker where the button is if you dont include instructions, for those of us who over-think things.Thank you for your help!

I ordered a Sunday Scout online during one of the no shipping charge promotions. The site is fantastic and the customer service is stellar. They ask you almost right away on their site if you need any help and they were very helpful and answered all of my questions promptly. Understandably, COVID-19 has affected the way a lot of businesses operate. Jack from City Grounds customer service took charge of my order. I noticed the bike I ordered was too big for me so I reached out to customer service to try and get the issue sorted out. Jack replied to me the next day asking what I would like to switch to. When I replied that I wanted to switch to a slightly more expensive bike and wanted to pay the difference, Jack called me to go over what I wanted.Although I was very ready and willing to pay for the upgrade difference (about $70), Jack waived the difference, explaining that they wanted to do what they could to help customers during COVID-19. During the call, Jack listened intently to my request and fulfilled it without any issues.Needless to say, I will be coming back to City Grounds (I would have done so even without the upgrade waived).

Horrible experience. Sons 13th birthday coming up ordered a bike online, when I got tracking code from ups I noticed shipping address had an error. Two numbers were switched around. Emailed them was told to contact ups. I did was told I can not change delivery address but to have them call and they can change it no problem. Called city grounds and they said they cant do that, that I need to call ups and figure it out. I can’t have it sent to an access point for pick up because I live in tiny town that doesn’t have one. Lady on phone rudely told me well if it gets sent back to us that I still owe for shipping and a return fee. Wouldn’t even try to help me out. And mind you the bike purchased was well over $300. Fml

Save your money and go elsewhere. Horrible customer service- sons wheel popped off after owning the bike for 1 month, first they said it was assembled incorrectly- when I pointed out they are the ones that assembled it they then changed to it had been tampered with. After filing a complaint with BBB they offered to fix and tune up the bike if I close my case and also requested I bring my son to learn how to properly handle an SE bike as apparently they are not made for doing wheelies- mind you his last SE bike (the exact same style) lasted 2 years without a single issue and was only replaced after the last one (bought and assembled at a better shop) was stolen. $600 to have a bike my son cant ride as this place is only open Monday-Friday, which big surprise, is when I work. Would have had a lifelong customer had they just shipped a replacement rim- now I make sure to tell everyone not to go there

Ive bough multiple bikes from City Grounds and all have been great experiences. Quick shipping and bikes are top notch! Not sure why there is so much hate among the reviews. Their customer support team is super friendly, so if you have a problem, i suggest calling them to resolve it! I cant say enough about the customer service. Thanks to Tim who helped me with my build!
