ADT sent a service tech out in August 2021 to upgrade the cell phone component of our alarm system. This upgrade was not requested by me. My system was working fine before the upgrade, but it has not worked since. At the time of this post, it is near the end of October 2021 Multiple ADT techs have been unable to fix my alarm system. They claim there is interference from the power companys drive by power pole meter. This was never an issue until after the unsolicited upgrade. ADT cannot repair and is unwilling to replace my system. ADT offered to sell me a new system for $500.00 plus. This is not a fair or equitable business practice. I plan to report ADT to the better business bureau.

Scott England was my technician that installed my new Command System with 3 cameras, remote deadbolt for front door and a Smart Thermostat. He was the most attentive person to detail I have ever met. Scott was very friendly, professional, and showed that he truly cared about people and the customers he services. He worked diligently all day putting in my system and made sure that he was efficient and did everything perfectly with no mistakes. He double and triple checked all hardware, connections, tested all doors, motion detectors, cameras, locks, Command Panel, and key Fob. He is an incredible asset to ADT and would highly recommend you request him if you need service, upgrades, or a new system installed. He will do it right and do all work with a smile and make you feel like you are his best friend before he finishes. I was going to leave ADT after being with them since 2010 due to two previous technicians being terrible and failing to be honest with me. But after taking a chance with this technician I am very gald I stuck with ADT. I have always had great service with ADT until I moved into my new house 3 years ago and until now, the technicians sent out for service the past three years were terrible. Scott made up for all of those past technicians that were so poor since I moved October of 2018. Thank you Scott and ADT!

Grayling Williams was assigned to come to my house to replace the aging cell communicator in my home security system. He arrived promptly, was well spoken, very friendly and knowledgeable. After escorting him to the different system components in the house, he quickly went to work interfacing with the system and replacing the cell communicator (which was installed high in the attic). Following repair, he ensured the system re-established connection with the monitoring center and confirmed my satisfaction with his services. Thank you, Gray, for your attention to detail an professionalism.

I usually never leave a bad review for a business but ADT is literally the worst service Ive ever paid for. For starters the camera doesnt pick up when people walk up to the front door, the alarm goes off at random times saying its been tampered with, no matter how many times you put the code in. It calls rescue services at random times and tech support basically tells you the problem is on your end. Youre locked in for three years and even though the issue is on their end they will not fix it or let you cancel without charging you $1000. Dont buy in, its great at first but over a 6 month period it has went to s&$t. Terrible service I cant stress in enough. I know theyll reply back to this pretending to be concerned but trust me, once theyve locked you in on the 3 year contract, they could careless about the system being faulty. In so many words they tell you youre on your own, either pay the monthly payment or pay the remainder of the contract. Spend your money else where and avoid their contract!!

Great workers here. William is a great ADT representative and is very knowledgeable of all ADT products. He is also very courteous. Have an upcoming install? Ask for William. I have worked with ADT in Florida and some of the workers there are not as competent as William-or friendly. If there is a manager reading this, William needs to receive some type of reward for his service. Great job ADT! Glad to be a customer in Huntsville for the past year.

I have been with ADT for over 4 years and have never had an issue with my bill until I got this doorbell camera addon. I was charged 99.00 twice for the installation fee and my bill was up to 300.00 and no one could tell me why. I called on the 4th and the refunded one 99.00 installation fee but my bill still shouldnt have been over 200.00. The lady said to give the system a few days to reset itself and I should see what my bill should be which is 64 and some change. Well I call back on 15Aug and told this CSR that my bill was still incorrect and asked what was due and she told me 64.46. I got off the phone and paid that amount. On 17Aug21 ADT takes it amongst themselves yet again to remove 147.00 from my account. This was the second and final time. I can see if I was late, there was no late charge on my account, and never has been and there was no reason to remove money from my account. Now I have paid them over 300.00 and no one can tell me what for. Im canceling my services with them ASAP because this is ridiculous!

Sheena was by far the most professional and knowledgeable ADT Tech I’ve ever had. I’ve moved several times since having ADT over the past 10 years and the instillation was simply outstanding, from start to finish. You could tell she was an expert and took great care in the job she was doing as she was training someone during our install. They were never disruptive and made sure we were comfortable at all times. Would highly recommend ADT and Sheena to any of my family friends. You definitely have a prized employee in her!

We have had ADT in the past, but this ADT contractor that services Madison is by far the worst. After dozens of false alarms, hours on the phone with both ADT dispatchers and the local fire department, we requested that they move, remove, or upgrade their faulty alarm system that would get set off from any activity in the kitchen, to include using the oven, stove, or even steaming vegetables. The placement of the smoke alarm by their local contractor was horrible - as alarm system experts we expect the technician to know where to place systems in a manner that provides proper service without dozens of false alarms. After calling ADT (again), we were told by the national ADT rep that they would take care of this and repair the hole in the wall that would be left after they moved and checked the system. When the technician arrived, they had no idea that this was what was agreed to and would not perform the agreed to services. After calling again, was then transferred to the subcontractor (Safe Haven security) by ADT and was told they would not do anything to rectify the problems, but would be happy to charge us to send another technician out to assess it.Do yourself a favor and look else where for security systems unless you enjoy horrible customer service.

Have had ADT services for years. Had a problem with the system and was passed around to four different people over the 45 minutes with no resolution. Alarm system still not working. Was finally told its going to be 20 days before a technician can get out because Im not a priority . Ask for a manager and was told one would call me within 48hours. Waiting to hear from management, plan on seeking a new security company who is more interested in customer service.

My family and I had ADT for over 10 years and overall we were satisfied with their service. But when we moved, ADT left us with 2 options, either pay out the remainder of our contract, $374.36, all at once, lump sum, or pay ADT an estimated $600 + for the costs of installation of a new system in our new home, in which case ADT would waive the remaining balance on the previous contract. Of course with the latter option we would pay a new monthly amount under a new contract covering our new home. I guess it could be worse, not an illegal trap at least. However, when we initially got ADT at our previous home, the installation was only $99.99. I tried to get ADT to match the $99 installation cost on our new home but they wouldnt budge. Guess I expected more since we were loyal customers for so long. Anyhow, Amazon, Ebay etc. is full of incredible home security packages with amazing gear to protect your home (cameras, sensors etc.) for much less money than what ADT offers and NO CONTRACTS. Many of these online packages have the option to have a 3rd party monitor your home with the equipment. I showed them to a representative of ADT and was promptly told that ADT would not compete with them, or even counter offer. So Ive left ADT and have paid them the remaining balance on the contact from my old home. Please take my advice and dont get caught in a multi-year contract with ADT like I did. My wallet hurts.

I have had ADT for several years and has been great! My sales rep is Adam Graves. He has went above and beyond to make sure I had what I wanted and needed. I sold my house which had ADT and moved to a rental house which Adam got me taken care of there. The new owners ask about ADT and called Adam also. He took are of them. Now I am building a house and again Adam is taking care of me again. I highly recommend ADT and definitely Adam for your security needs.

Horrible organization, mt experience was the worse. ADT sold me an alarm service then immediately sold the contract to another company, then transferred back to them, in what appeared to be an attempt to avoid honoring promises. I only have 1 more year left on my contract and ADT and their affiliates will never enjoy any business from me again.

ADT just made a house call to bring us a new alarm fob. While at the house the technician updated our battery and the signal device. He checked all of our entry points, smoke detectors, etc to be sure everything was online and working properly. The technician was very nice and courteous. Thank you ADT for sending out such a nice representative. He did a wonderful job and we feel secure with our system!

I would definitely recommend ADT home security. When calling Laquentin Thomas in regards to getting service started he quickly set up a meeting. During our meeting he was very informative or the products that the company had as well as the promotions the company was offering. The Technician was also great. He knew the equipment very well. We had a technician come to our house last week to repair our door lock & he said that it needed to be replaced. The new door lock arrived & a technician named Brian Taylor came today to replace it. After reviewing our previous lock he seen there was no need for the change. Instead he made a few adjustments to the door & got our lock working PERFECTLY, better than new & helped to change our code. He was so friendly (not only to my son & I but, also our dog,) funny & informative. Before leaving he noticed that there was a big black widow on our front porch & informed me how bad they are & without hesitation he stomped him gone, so grateful for that... I HATE spiders. He was WONDERFUL. GREAT service & a GREAT person. Thank you ADT for the service & for Brian.

Had ADT system installed about a month ago. ADT products and services are complete garbage and a total scam. After installation one camera didnt work. We were told we needed a WiFi extender which can only be purchased through ADT. The ADT system is a custom piece of equipment and will not work with any other extenders. The extender costs $150 PLUS an increase in your monthly rate. The Doorbell camera, outside cameras and inside cameras capture motion 50% of the time, at best. Pizza delivery, UPS/FedEx delivery, me walking in front of the camera, my car driving in and out of the driveway etc. A criminal could come and go from the driveway and front door and this system would be lucky to see them. So I emailed ADT with specific dates and times the system didnt work and they said I needed to call customer service. So I called and they said I needed to call from my house. Called from my house and they said everything is fine with the system.Me: Doorbell camera has been out for three weeks (see picture)ADT: Everything looks good to us. However, you can purchase this extra piece of equipment from us to see if that helps. We can send a technician for $25 to troubleshoot our piece of garbage system that we charged you $$$$$ for.

The installer damaged my wood front door with beveled glass. Drilled right through it. I have a plastic sensor and a hole literally in my front door. The installer sent notice to the ADT Huntsville office owner on Saturday while he was at my house shortly after the damage occurred . The Huntsville office suggested to the installer that the insurance claims company was closed on Saturday after 2:00. I would hear from them on Monday. After 48 hours I contacted the ADT corporate office. The install was on June 8. It’s now June 17 and I have heard from the ADT corporate office daily but, not from the local ADT office. The ADT corporate office is my advocate in this situation and keeps reaching out the the local ADT office. The local office is not acting. I believe I am going to hire a local attorney. I work too hard for my property. The local office even charged my credit card for the installation on June 8 despite the damage caused. The new ADT systems are expensive to install. The damage the my property exceeds $1200. I do not recommend this location of ADT. I have been an ADT customer in 5 separate cities over 12 years. This is the last time.

We are very happy with our new ADT security system. Our sales rep, Eric Tate, has just been GREAT through the entire process. He gets 5 STARS from us! He even stayed on site during the installation to make sure everything went smoothly for us. The installers were very good and professional and thoroughly explained the features of the system. However, we were charged $300 above our contract price for installation, and it took multiple phone calls totaling about 1.5 hours with ADT Billing to finally get this resolved. Because of the problems with billing, we can only give overall 4 stars.

Talking with the sales manager Eric in my area, The phone call and the professionalism was handled very well before the installation of the alarm. However I feel after the installation of the alarm and after the sale was made there was a few promises that were never made or kept and I was then forgotten about.However there customer service team with ADT through their toll free number is very prompt and courteous and quick to handle any concern that you may have.

We live out of state and keeping our home safe and being able to monitor it is very important to us. Eric Tate met us at the house and understood our needs. He was very professional and kind. He helped us upgrade our outdated system with technology we didn’t even know was available. We were on a very tight time schedule of only 5 days, but Eric made calls to make sure that the system would be installed for us during that time. The installer, John, was also a pleasure to work with. He arrived with a smile on his face and quickly got to work. John was able to install a remote door lock that we had been told by a previous company was impossible due to a doorframe defect. He made sure the camera views were exactly the areas we wanted to see. He reviewed the system with us and we couldn’t be happier. Kudos to Eric and John and the ADT Company!

He got us a fantastic deal on our home security system and when the guys came out to do the installation they took their time and did a very careful and excellent job. We love the fact that we can check out our front porch and driveway on our phones when we are away from home. HIGHLY OVERRATED. From the installation to present, its been a comedy of errors. The whole idea of ADT protecting you is overrated plus you are locked into a contract and a monthly fee of $65.00. Maybe a system from Walmart or Best Buy would be just as RELIABLE, no contract and no monthly fees. DO YOUR RESEARCH. The techs have been over my house FIVE times in seven weeks. All have a different story about why this is not correct or that is not correct. The last tech made the most sense about WHY Im having problems, but now the Internet is to blame. ENOUGH ALREADY. To put all all your safety into ADT watching your house, is a bad idea. You have to check the system every day. Now Im told if my house had an internet problem, thats the reason the camera did not work....sooo not very reliable to protect me.

They run a SCAM!! Beware! If you move, they will talk you into transferring the service to the new location so you dont have to pay the remainder of the contract. They will make you think you are simply finishing out the contract at the new location, but NO, they will then, after the transfer, make you sign a NEW contract for a NEW period of time. And, when you cancel, they will harass you with phone calls from national and local people, even after you tell them NO. Finally, they will draft from your account the funds remaining on your contract when you cancel it before the new - deceitfully obtained - contract is cancelled.

Brian was excellent technician. He immediately walked to the problem and fixed it. When the previous techs changed cameras they didn’t change the transformers. Therefore, the new camera required more current. Less current equals less wattage. Less wattage equals poor performance. Cameras are performing great now.

I will not be using this company again in the future. I have had ADT the past 9 years and have now been dissappointed by them for the last time. I paid them to put window sensors in every room of the house including the 5 sensors in my master bedroom. The 5 sensors continuously failed, resulting in a technician coming to my home 4 times over the last year. Each time the failing sensors were replaced and the technician went along their way. The final visit (after taking 4 days off work for their convenience), the technician told me that it would be best just to remove those sensors from the monitoring service and to contact billing for a credit. When I called billing, I was pretty much told it was my loss and they would be glad let me take another day off work for them to replace the sensor a 5th time and hopefully that would correct the issue. I cancelled the service a year early, and of course have to pay the cancellation fee but it was well worth it compared to paying for the monthly service. I am shocked that the company could care less about customer satisfaction and care only about the profits from sales of cheap sensors. Before getting involved with their contracts and sub-par customer care gimmicks, I would highly recommend considering an alternate company.

Had ADT for 4 years and when we first got it the salesman said it was free to install a new system in any house we move to as long as were still customers. Well that is a lie and we went ahead with it anyways for another 500 dollars. Then when the tech came out they said the $700 worth of cameras and other equipment we had would need to be replaced when it just worked at the old house. The representative would never call us back when he said he would and the communication in the company was so horrible no one knew what order we had and kept trying to schedule the wrong order over and over again. I just canceled and got my money back because I went with another provider that had 5 star ratings and got the system installed within a week no problems. This is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had and even the people you get on the 800 number act like they dont care and just want to sell you things you dont need.

They told me my alarm would be $500 they charged me $600 they told me the monthly payment was $50 tell me why it has been $77. Now to get it back to $50 then I had to sign another contract or they would leave it at $77 they will SCAM you!
