Nice home town style eating establishment. Tasty food. Good and timely service. Dining area is well maintained. The Cajon style shrimp is delicious! Potato salad is very good as well.

Weve only eaten here once but it was very quaint, clean and friendly. This is a casual restaurant with typical offerings. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. We went later afternoon around two so Im not sure if its packed around lunch time. Will definitely go back.

Building lacks everything that made it great before. No longer a whimsical place. Ice cream looks all melted and refrozen. Empty shelving everywhere. No more candies. No Malts. Etc....simple fried food or salads or heavily processed soups for menu options. No life in the employees anymore. This is a rough review but honestly this place use to have such appeal and be such a joy. This place is no longer that. Very sad. Maybe going through an ownership change or etc but something better happen soon to improve it because I dont see it staying open very long like this.

This is the perfect kind of restaurant for a small town like Huntsville. They have really good burgers, sandwiches, soup, sweets, and drinks. They actually mix the soda right there in the diner and it really seems to make it taste better. The service is always really good, even though it is usually college kids. They are always very friendly and seem to enjoy the atmosphere. This place is great for families, big and small. They also have ice cream and candy you can buy on the way out. Beware lunch hours on the week days though as it gets pretty packed. I wish they were open for dinner and Sundays.

I have been here many times to eat while at trainings for school and the food has always been excellent. Today, however, the service was sub par. I ordered a shake and a side salad as my meal since I was not very hungry. After an hour I was told I still could not have it (we asked 3 times during eating) even though my party was completely finished eating and checking out. There were 3 tables when we arrived. Not sure how making a shake was so hard and time consuming. I was then told I can only do what I can do and our rule is food first.

I love their soups, sandwiches and dont miss the fried pies. Park around the back and save yourself a few steps plus youll feel like a local.

One of the best places to eat in downtown Huntsville Tx. I used to always come here when it used to be Kings, and I have to say they did a good job in keeping the character of the place. I love how they still have the homemade cherry sodas, candy, and ice cream. The food is also great, the hamburgers are my favorite here. If your feeling brave try the peanut butter burger, its surprisingly delicious.

Love this place for their deli style food. Delicious sandwiches and sweets.good for vegetarians or vegans. On the huntsville square so can do some quick downtown shopping and antiquing.

Hate to see them go. LOVE the fruited chicken salad! I hope Farmhouse will pick it up and serve.

This place is my favorite definitely a Hidden gem unless youre from Huntsville. I come and just get the poblano corn chowder and sweet potato fries and it is an amazing lunch.

Food was great, very tasty. The corn pablano soup was wonderful. The only downfall was the service was a bit slow, but they were friendly and apologetic. Try it out!

Excellent food. The limited staff on hand when we went seemed to get overwhelmed. But if you gave time eventually you get what you need.

My coworker and I had been on duty since 3 am without a break to eat. We knew, in our line of work, if we get a break we have to take it. Tummies grumbling and headaches raging from not eating, we stopped at Farmhouse. When we got inside we were told they had closed for lunch and only had ice cream. Heads hanging low we were about to set out to find another restaurant when the nicest lady in the back said “I can make you a sandwich real quick!” Music to our ears!!!!! She not only made us a wonderful chicken salad sandwich but added a deviled egg, pickle slice, fresh fruit (orange, strawberry, and pineapple) !!! Soooo very grateful! True and genuine southern hospitality with a hug that could cure anything to go with it. Thank you so much for the delicious food and wonderful service ❤️

Disappointing. Great location and building, but looks like theyve given up. Lots of empty shelves. Definitely a missed opportunity.

A regular lunch stop for my office, and recently got the approval from my wife who is reluctant to try new places. Try the Pecan Crusted Chicken sandwich with either sweet potato fries or the poblano corn chowder (house specialty) as a side.
