The Chocolate Crocodile is a delightful little chocolate shop at Bridge Street. With handmade truffles, as well as caramel apples, and even sugar free options, it is an absolute treat.I especially like that they have both bite sized truffle bits that can be bought in bulk at a reasonable price as well as larger dessert sized truffles if youve really got a sweet tooth craving.

I normally love this place but I went yesterday and the young lady that was helping me was rubbing her hands all over the counter and register so I asked her to change her gloves. After she changed her gloves the first time with an attitude, she got my daughters chocolate pretzel. She then proceeds to touch the register with her glove before grabbing my caramel apple and asking me if I want it cut. You guys really need to work on having your workers not touch things with their gloves and try to prepare food at the same time. I was greatly disappointed.

They have the best caramel apples! Everything in store is homemade. Literally everything I’ve tried from here has been absolutely delicious! The staff is so knowledgeable and friendly, and that just makes the experience more fun! I come in every time I come to Bridge Street. Love love love this place!

My husband found this place and brought home a Carmel Cheesecake Apple. It was absolutely delicious, so delicious that I got another one two days later. I’m new to the area but I think this may be my guilty pleasure go-to!

Chocolate covered strawberries were the absolute best I have ever tasted! The candy apples were delicious as well! There is something for everyone and Im convinced that you wont be disappointed!

I just recently moved to AL from MD, so I hadn’t had any experiences with chocolate shops in the area but I wanted to support a small local owned business instead of purchasing from a larger company online. My mistake. My mom loves chocolate and Mothers Day was coming up, I usually get her Sees Candies chocolates for most holidays, it’s her favorite, but like I said I tried something new and wanted to support a local business. After looking online and asking around town it seemed that Chocolate Crocodile was really the only store within 60 miles to purchase gourmet handmade chocolates. It’s about a hour and a half away from my house but I figured if the chocolate turned out to be quality and made my mom happy it was worth it. It was not. I spent over 60 dollars on what amounted to less than a pound and a half of chocolate, I’ve always thought Sees Candies to be a little pricey but always worth it, and you can get a 2lb box of assorted chocolates from them for about 40$. The girl assisting me was obviously new and gave me the wrong information and prices on just about everything I inquired about so from what the worker told me I thought I was going to be spending about 30$ on what I ordered and it ended up being double that. Wasn’t happy about that but I had already driven out and the poor girl helping me was overwhelmed, I just really hoped the chocolates would be worth it and be a hit with my mom. I told the girl that it was a gift for my mom on Mother’s Day and if she could make it look “nice” and have everything put into boxes I would appreciate it. After about 10 minutes she handed me a large bag tied up with everything inside it, I left, and drove the hour and a half back home. Rookie mistake. Should have checked the contents before I left the shop. The majority of the chocolates were thrown into a bag sloppily with no thought or care put into it only 6 truffles were in a small box. I was super upset but tried to make the best of it, organizing them as best as I could. Next day I gave my mom the chocolates and apologized for the sloppy presentation, but what was worse was the actual quality of the chocolates! I mean truly, I’m not the type of person who usually take the time to rant like this or write reviews but I spent almost 70$ for some Russel Stovers level chocolates, they tasted CHEAP, I don’t know how else to describe them, I was so let down. So after 3 hours round trip and all that money for a box of subpar chocolates later I was and am still so disappointed over the whole experience and will not be making this mistake again. I urge everyone to look somewhere else if wanting to buy “gourmet” chocolates, again Sees Candies has NEVER disappointed. Worth paying 10$ in shipping or whatever if you have to.

It’s fine, the variety of candies apples are pretty cool. The one I got was fresh and delicious 😋 There’s no sit down room but they do have coffee and there’s beautiful places to eat outside the shop. The staff is very friendly. My only suggestion is that they: clean up the shelves where they keep the school stuff and maybe give the place a makeover because when you walk in you see a strong red military flag and then back to school stuff for kids and then a modest section of sweets so it was a bit confusing as to what’s going on inside. Aren’t candy shops meant to be fun? Idk, it’s not that big of a deal, if you want delectable chocolates or candy apples, it’s a good place to go.

Great tasting chocolate strawberries for my Valentine. I ordered ahead and they had them ready when I arrived. I really appreciated not having to wait in the regular order line since they had a table setup for preorders. Theyve been doing it for years and always works great.

I have been shopping here at the Huntsville store for the past 5 years, and absolutely love the apples etc. Yesterday between 6 and 7 I purchased nearly $60 worth of apples and covered strawberries. Looked over while employee was getting my strawberries and seen he was doing so bare handed with no gloves. When he brought strawberries to me to checkout I asked him to replace the six he got with six more due to he wasn’t wearing gloves. Rolled his eyes, and walked over there. I will not be eating the strawberries I purchased still because I seen him go out of sight turned around with my strawberries that were already in the box opened, and looked to be that he was doing something to them. I felt very uncomfortable and displeased at the cleanliness and professionalism. Also, asked him to slice both apples to find out once I get home there not even sliced half way. For the price of what we purchased I believe customer cleanliness and service should be of higher quality. Very disappointed.(Young man wearing glasses on the date of 11-15-19 between 6 and 7 p.m). A caramel from here cannot be beat. We absolutely love stopping for a dessert. The tart juicy apple with the caramel is just the best combo. If you havent ever had one, stop in ASAP and try it. You wont be disappointed!

People there nice enough but the chocolate covered peanuts were lacking. This was my 1st time here and I am not saying I wont be back but the chocolate on the nuts had a really bad wax after taste. Like earwax. Peanuts were really shiny and I have never seen shiny chocolate covered peanuts. The chocolate thats used on them should be reformulated in my opinion.

The truffles are great. Love Amaretto. The white chocolate dipped cherries are my absolute favorite. The apples are a good value compared to a variety of other retailers with similar offerings. They also seem to have more flavors than most others.

Neat little candy shop at Bridge Street. The location is really convenient.They have a good selection, and friendly employees. The prices are about what youd expect for a place like this, but its worth it. Most of the products are probably difficult to make. Go get some nice candies on your way to the movie theater. Sneak them in. No one will know. Would go again.

The chocolate covered apples are good, just wish the workers cared about customer service. We bought an apple and the guy literally rolled his eyes, and complained to his coworker that they were going to have to make more apples that night, like he was mad we bought one and he’d have to work! Seriously hire someone better.

My experience has been positive over the years. Ive told several friends and family members. My favorite is the English toffee pecan apple. This is also my daughter and grandsons favorite. Well for the past 6 weeks it has not been available and I have been told on several occasions that the owner had to make some type of special order for the ingredients. On one occasion I was told they didnt have the mixture. Last week we were told they had all the ingredients except the cashews. I asked to speak with the Manager last weekend to try to get some definite answers. The young man returned from back room area and told me she said the owner had to order the ingredients. Im very frustrated with this situation!

The chocolate is good, but when i walk into the store almost every time they see me but ignore me until some other person said are you going to get them that works there, The other worker kept staring at me and made me feel like I was ordering too much and gave me an attitude at the register and the boy dropped the chocolate on the floor like nothing happened and handed her the chocolates so i can check out, i get it’s a Friday night but no customers were in the store so it’s not like they were busy, it was 630 pm.

Placed and paid for a Christmas order in early November. When I went to pick it up on the day it was supposed to be ready, they didnt have my chocolates. Even with six weeks advanced order, they couldnt get it done. They gave me a bunch of excuses but bottom line, I dont have the Christmas gift.

This chocolate was terrible. The fudge did not taste good and the chocolate peanut butter cup was bland. I asked for fudge and they brought a freaking brick out and charged $16 for it. I’m surprised they haven’t faded out of bridge street for a real chocolate shop.

Every time I go in the service is always great! If I go to Huntsville I definitely make a trip to The Chocolate Crocodile! Today I went and the woman working was very rude. She seemed that is was very inconvenient that she had to make me a milk chocolate apple. Also, she forgot to give me the apple so I had to go back and ask her for it, and she also did not alice it. I am very disappointed in the service today.

This was my favorite, FAVORITE chocolate shop. Not sure if under new management, but it has gone way downhill. We waited for 5 minutes for anyone to say anything, acknowledge us, anythinf (and it was NOT busy) — then another lady came in the door and was waited on first. Extremely rude. We left and will be unlikely to return.

Went yesterday (1/10/17) and Im underwhelmed. I got a red velvet caramel apple, a mint dipped graham cracker, and a chunk of chocolate with mini M&Ms. The apple was okay, the graham cracker had a filling that literally had the texture of bubble gum, and the chocolate was next to peanut butter cups and I thought it was a peanut butter cup with M&Ms. I referred to it as such, and the girl said okay and bagged it. I got home and the peanut butter cup is just solid milk chocolate with M&Ms, my expensive chefa knife couldnt cut it. For almost $15, yeah, Im not returning.

Its a fun place to walk in and look at all the chocolate when you are at Bridge Street, but the quality of the truffles didnt match up to the price at all. We have had much better truffles.

Purchased 3 chocolate covered cherries and 2 chocolate haystacks. The bill was $22. The haystacks were hard as rocks and the milk chocolate had turned white in some places. They were so hard we could not even bite into them. My son threw one down hard in the driveway and it sounded like a rock and didnt even break. I called to let them know and I was very nice about it. The lady that answered the phone was unapologetic and argued with me that solid milk chocolate is like that. I asked for her managers name and she was reluctant to give it to me. Very disappointed in the product and service.

I bought popcorn on Saturday...it was stale so i went back to let them know and do an exchange. The girl said she couldnt do anything because there was no manager in the store. I told them i didnt need a refund but I didnt want popcorn because it might be stale also. The girl calles her manager and then told me to come back tomorrow. I told her I was not coming back tomorrow and I would like another exchange. Thankfully there was a young man there who gave us an exchange. I appreciate his effort to provide customer service. However I wont be back.
