Just purchased my first firearm here. Have also purchased boots, a trolling motor, some clothing and some ammunition. They are super nice. Great prices. And always helpful. Love this store 👍👍.

Got looked over several times before waited on. Staff was rude and not helpful. Made to feel like I was a problem they had to wait on. Took my business elsewhere just because of the rudeness. Will not visit this one again. Was not busy. Was only one waiting to be assisted. So if staff is like that in one section, I didnt even bother to go to another department. Very disappointed. Had a list of things I was buying. So their loss.

Looking for tennis shoes... great stock to choose from. Found exactly what I wanted, Looked at two other stores. Very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my shopping experience 😃.

Overpriced to some extent, although occasionally you can find something below average price. I usually only come here when I cant find what I need in other places. Keeps ammo in stock generally, and shotshells are just a little more than other places. 6/10 mostly for being overpriced, but points for keeping things in stock such as ammunition.

Rod in the shoe dept. Was the best so very helpful!

Really great selection on the clothes and the fishing and hunting supplies. Those were the only areas I checked out. The lady at checkout was friendly also...

Really nice store, found some really nice leggings with pockets which is what Ive been wanting. Employees were really nice and polite. Only deducting a star because I didnt find everything I was looking for. Overall great store though!

Young, female clerk working at the register around noon 9/11/21 gave me a disgusted sigh when I told her I needed to put my debit card away before she handed me my money. Then, she shoved my money in my hand with an attitude of annoyance. Hope management sees this--or better yet-- her parents! Home training, anyone? Bless her heart...

This particular store is great! They have amazing prices and frequently have great sales. I have really come to love the store brand, Magellan. The brand is high quality, stylish, and functional, especially for mens wear. The associates were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I really appreciate the wide range range of items. I highly recommend this store and this location!!

Great visit I was pleased to find an abundant amount of clearance. There was no soccer referee shirts reasonably priced. However when I asked for help, I was informed there may be more options online. I was happy to be directed to purchase online but found a more reasonable price on amazon.

Love academy! Ive purchased a trampoline, kayak, shirts, hats, baseball equipment, and more from here. Its clean, and staff is usually helpful. Prices are very good.

The actual physical location is helpful and great. Cant stress enough that i have nothing to complain about with the actual store, honestly, the staff is great and super helpful. The website sucks and doesnt do well on keeping track of currently available products, so i dont feel 5 stars would be true to my experience.

I love the store on drake ave Huntsville Alabama. But I really see a lack of fishing tackle such as know role weights, spoonsOld dried up worms. Price of the weights are very over priced. For instance, 2- 3oz eggs are around 1.50 to 2 dollars. I get 40 for $20. At a pair shop in Guntersville.

Nice selection out of somethings and short on sizes of others.... maybe soon all will be back to right.

My new Ruger Security 9mm was 200 less than what I paid for my other one at Dunhams. Got a sweet pair of Nike on sale and the kid behind the gun register was excellent, knowledgeable and polite.

They had exactly what I needed. Drove to a couple stores that said it was in stock but wasn’t. They are a lifesaver.

I really like Academy. I will be frequenting the store for tennis shoes. They have good shoes at a variety of prices. Were low in stock on 14 wides. I bought some seasoning there about a month ago...Bad Byrons..best rub available. Academy will be my go to sports store.

I did not used to shop here. My BF is here at least once a week so eventually I went in.So MANY things! I now own slides, some fabulous sweatpants and water clothes for kayaking.I also was able to get stuff for my oldest child who is 6’7 - they have sizes up to 3X and prices are very reasonable.

A great place for outdoor/sports clothes and equipment. Nice selection of sunglasses also. Saying that because summer is approaching.

Academy is my preferred sports and outdoors store. They usually have better prices than Dick’s Sporting Goods and I’ve had good luck with all the products I’ve purchased from Academy such as folding chairs and soccer ball.

No matter how long the line only one register open. Someone “might” ask you to check out at the customer service counter. Staff is rude. And don’t bother thinking you will save time if your order online and pay to pick up at the store..... even though you get a text “your order is ready”... it’s not... still had to wait for them to bring it up. Would have been quicker for me to just shop in the store. This is not my first experience. This behavior is regular. So now I’m a Cabelas only customer. Goodbye Academy of Huntsville.

Ammo days are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Be there before 7 to be in line for the best select. You are limited to 2 boxes not number of rounds.

This is my go to sporting/outdoor goods store. Most of everything you want or need for outdoor activities. And after the other sporting goods chain took their stand on guns, this place still keeps all kinds in stock...as much as they can.

Great place to buy firearms, ammo, hunting gear, etc. Always a good selection at reasonable prices. I once was looking for a shirt for my daughters birthday that the store showed only one of in stock. Id looked all over without any luck but 2 young ladies that worked there came to help me and one of them ended up finding it for me in another area where someone had apparently randomly laid it down in the store.

I always enjoy going there. They can be a little pricey on there items but if you look around you can find sales and they really lower the price.

Staff was busy but still friendly and helpful.. I waited a while at Service desk, several returns ahead of me. The door greeter checked if i was ok.I was. Clean organized meat.

The cashier Carson needs to work on his customer service. He seemed to have an attitude. The store was closing in about 30 minutes when we arrived to his register. I understand that he might have been ready to go home but it’s not good to take those frustrations out on customers. He huffed and puffed because his barcode scanner wasn’t working and he had to type the barcode in which again is not my problem. Customer service goes a long way. I’ve shopped here multiple times but never experienced such a horrible cashier.

Nice store, but cant keep pistol ammo stocked. Was told corporate will only ship each store a standard supply on regular schedule. If they run out of an item, why not ship a little more each time until they can remain stocked?

Clean, well-stocked store. We were greeted at the door to confirm we were wearing masks as we came in. Selection was good and pricing was fair. We spent just under $300 in clothing and shoes and were very satisfied with our purchases. Staff was friendly and store capacity was being regulated. I never expected anything less from academy.

I really like this place, you can find the things you need.

My husband returned two shirts and two pairs of shorts when they didn’t fit comfortably and we never received the refund back to our account. He signed a receipt but they did not give us a copy. When we called to inquire they say there’s no record of the receipt and we can call corporate if we want to. $90 worth of return and they refuse to do anything about it.

I walked through the whole store and not one person ask could they help me find anything only reason I give 2 stars is for there hunting & fishing supplies POOR SERVICE
