Just found this gem yesterday! We had a fabulous Saturday ladies lunch with outdoor seating under umbrellas that was really great.I had the Vegan Mediterranean Wrap with a side Mediterranean salad the dressing was delicious- one of my friends tried the BLT and another the chicken salad we all had empty plates. For fun we tried the Bubbly Lemonade 🍋 which was like a Mimosa with Lemon juice instead of Orange Juice - super refreshing. We were hoping to try the famous lavender cake but they were all out - 😝 next time 🤞Decor inside was friendly and inviting - I could see this becoming a favorite #womenowned and great menu!
Update after 2nd visit. Disappointing. My grits ($8) were cold, the toppings came from fridge and the grits themselves were not up to temperature (below 140f) I know restaurants serve food they cooked previously but you should warm them up and maintain that 140+ temp (the grits). I went home and warmed them up. I live 2 mins away so there is no way they cooled down that fast and I picked my order up str8 from the kitchen. The sandwich was warmer than the grits🤨.. this place is nice and cozy. But they should maintain the quality. I would go back but wouldnt order grits again.1st visit: Nice cozy place. The grits are different than what most restaurants serve but different in a good way. I topped the girls with bacon, roasted tomatoes, and cheddar. I also tried the dads sandwich which was good. The next time I would skip the garlic aoli sauce. The only thing I didnt like was there was no option (online) to order one dessert you could only order 6 or 12 😒
First time here today. The cafe is so cute and charming. The servers are very helpful as well as polite! Had the grilled cheese with pulled pork & pesto and it was out of this world delicious! Well absolutely be back again.
Im usually not one to complain and have never written a negative review, however this place has apparently really gone downhill in the last few months. I used to love their breakfast and coffee. I picked up a to-go order this weekend and was extremely disappointed. I wish I would have eaten there so I could inform them. My chai latte tasted like straight milk -- quite literally the worst I have EVER had. Their biscuit and gravy were tasty as usual, but the amount of gravy they gave me was laughable. The container wasnt even half full and I was so shocked at how little they gave me that I actually measured it. They gave me a whopping 3 tablespoons of gravy..... Needless to say, I wont be going back, maybe ever. I understand restaurants are having a rough time, but this is just extremely cheap behavior.
Great breakfast spot, the cheese grits are amazing! I definitely plan to try more of the menu on my next visit.
Good Company Cafe hosted my surprise 50th party. Angela, Molly and staff did an AMAZING job. The cake, french macarons and food were just beautiful and so yummy. They worked tirelessly with my family to make sure my night was pure perfection. The outdoor patio area was perfect to allow us to gather and distance. Thanks y’all!
This is definitely my favorite local brunch place! The food is fantastic and not overpriced. They offer some unique items too. I love their pickled eggs! All of their soups are delicious. And their drinks are very good! We will continue supporting this cafe for a long time to come. Try it out if you havent already - you wont regret it!
I just tried this place for the first time about a week ago and I am in love! Do yourself a favor and try the London Fog, hot or iced, its absolutely incredible!!
We were a party of 3. On two of the sandwiches, the bread was stale and falling apart, however, the sandwich filling was good. My side of fruit did not look fresh. It was mostly blueberries and 2 grapes, one strawberry in a cup. The place looks like it needs a VERY deep cleaning. The bathroom was messy, and upon exiting the restroom, I could see behind the curtain that closed off the food prep area. It was really messy and not clean. Im not sure I will return.
I hired Good Company Cafe to handle my wedding cake and they did not disappoint! Angela and Molly were great to work with throughout the entire process. The cake was exactly what I wanted, and it looked and tasted amazing. I would highly recommend them to any brides looking for the perfect wedding cake.
Ive been coming here for the past few months since I moved in just down the street. It is always a good experience. From the service to the coffee they never disappoint!
Next level coffee shop. The food is incredible. The coffee was amazing. Awesome atmosphere.
We went here for the Saturday Brunch and had their avocado toast as well as their European Breakfast. The meals were good and we enjoyed the ambiance of the cafe. Then we ate some of their pastries and OMG! They were amazing. The cookies reminded us of traditional cookies on the outside with a most inside similar to a brownie. We also tried one their biscuits. This was definitely not your moms biscuit as the outside had the texture of a scone while the inside was moist and filled with blueberries! Definitely one of the best pastry shops in town!!!
Its a wonderful Cafe to meet friends and catch up. The food is always good and service delightful. I highly recommend.
I’m PICKY. I want my coffee to have housemade syrup. I want a $7 breakfast sandwich to be unforgettable & worth it. I want freshly baked treats that aren’t $5 apiece. GCC is all of that & more. They offer high quality treats at reasonable prices with a great variety of specials. Made with love definitely describes this place.
Service was great, food was great, Ill go back. I didnt know they were open on Sundays.
Amazing food. Excellent service. Like the diversity of the places.
Cute little place, really nice atmosphere.Delightful food, I’d come here regularly if I lived in thee area.
Really cute cafe, great brunch menu and loved the iced coffees. One of the (female 💪🏼) owners also came around to check on how everyone was doing. 10/10 👌🏼
My best friend and I have been wanting to meet here for brunch for so long now and schedules and weather finally lined up! Just as delicious as we hoped it would be! Wonderful service and love the atmosphere ❤️
I was disappointed with my experience here. I was really excited to try this cafe so I ordered carryout. I received my food and coffee and realized one sandwich was missing from my order. I turned back around and asked for my missing sandwich. They were really nice and apologized for the mistake. However, they didnt offer to take the sandwich off my bill or offer to make me two new fresh sandwiches. After 15 minutes, my sandwich was ready, but my original was already cold. Despite all of this, the food tasted good and the coffee was delicious!!
Absolutely amazing coffee and food! A friend of mine works there and recommend I try it, and I have had lunch there a couple times now. Their blueberry drop biscuits are my favorite! Im going to need to try their cakes soon too.
This review is long overdue, probably about a half a year or so, but my wife and I were extremely impressed with Good Company. For one, the outside environment is very beautiful and nice. The inside is also set up very nicely as well and we are looking very forward to sitting down inside sometime and eating because when we were there, seating was understandably unavailable due to COVID. The food was delicious and fairly priced. Those spicy little chips are to die for. I was sitting outside in the blazing sun and was sweating profusely but I could not stop eating those dang chips. However, what we were most impressed about by far was something we were not expecting to be good at all - the coffee. My wife used to be a professional barista (not the cafe/Starbucks kind) and I am a bit of a coffee enthusiast so we looked at each other both a bit shocked after we drank the coffee, both thinking What in the world, this coffee is amazing. Youd think that youd find this good of coffee in, well, a coffee shop, but it was better than any coffee weve had in Huntsville/Madison so far. So we would like to stop by often just to get coffee and other treats too.
First off, Good Company Cafe is operated by the most lovely group of people. My husband and I scheduled a cake tasting in September. The experience was so fun, personable and unforgettable!! Angela figured out exactly the style we were looking for and made suggestions that fit our taste. We left with big smiles and tons of excitement for our special day to come. We decided to have Good Company Cafe cater brunch the morning of our wedding and the desserts and cake for our wedding on Oct.5th. We had the quiche platter, and chatcuterie platters. They were all beautifully plated and tasted amazing. I ate things I have never eaten before (like peppadu peppers YUM). My bridesmaids and I have never felt so fancy!!! For our cake, we had an almond cake with Earl Grey buttercream frosting and berry filling. The cake was absolutely delicious and so beautifully decorated. Our wedding guests enjoyed pistachio macaroons, pumpkin cheesecake bites with pretzel crust, melon skewers, and espresso truffles. Everyone loved the desserts and there was nothing left at the end of the night. Thank you Good Company Cafe for providing outstanding service and delicious food. Customers for life ♡
We ordered box lunches at work, normally veggie sandwiches in the south are 3 pieces of spinach and a tomato BUT NOT THIS PLACE! They actually had a BIG, FILLING wrap with hummus, several veggies, (no olives thank goodness) and a delicious dressing. Just the wrap (plus a slice of cheese and cookie) and I was full til dinner! Definitely cant say that about any other box lunch in Huntsville.
Had a great experience at Good Company Cafe this morning! The staff were so nice and welcoming and you cant help but enjoy the quaintness of the atmosphere they offer. It is definitely a place you would want to come and stay a while at. Their breastfast was delicious! Everything we ordered, including the breakfast biscuit and the dads sandwich were so tasty! It makes food so much more enjoyable when you get such well prepared, homemade, quality items that we did during our visit. Honestly, everything on their menu looks amazing and we cant wait to give more items a try. We will definitely be coming back for seconds...and thirds...Do yourself a favor and check out this local gem.
These girls are so amazing. They recently catered my wedding and we could not be happier! The cake was so beautiful and delicious. The guests loved the grazing tables for both the appetizers, the main courses and desserts. I am still hearing form guests about haw wonderful the food and desserts were. Their entire team that came were so sweet and kept our guests happy and full. They were so easy to work with, from the first meeting, to the cake/food tasting to the big day.. our number of guests keep growing and they accommodated every need we had. I would highly recommend them for any catering event!
Great food. Hard for a handicapped person to get to the bathroom. Will enjoy a return trip.
I love the ambiance and the food here. They also serve locally roasted roosters coffee (excellent quality)Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is high prices. Worth a visit and cozy to sit inside.
Incredibly friendly staff. I had a bowl of excellent Mushroom Soup w/ some divine Truffle Oil drizzled on top (the best Ive had since moving to Huntsville) and an Italian Salad w/ a house made Vinaigrette that was amazing. The atmosphere is very charming and relaxing.I will definitely be returning here and bringing along my family and friends. :)
Very cute, quiet cafe! Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the food they serve. I enjoyed a tasty, warm tea latte while waiting on our meal. Its a big plus that they serve alcohol!! Our food was wonderful and we enjoyed having the outside seating but inside looked cozy too!! I cant wait to try it out again!
Saturday morning brunch success! I met a girlfriend for brunch, music and BOGO mimosas and it was a great choice. We got there at 10 and were lucky enough to snag the last table - the place was packed the entire time we were there. I had the avocado toast and cannot get over how good it was - it was topped with what I think was a pickled soft boiled egg and the first thing I did when I got home was Google how I can make the eggs myself. I grabbed a cookie & warm blueberry drop biscuit to go and my husband said the biscuit was still warm when I got home 30 minutes later - and he enjoyed it. The only thing that could have been better - a location in Madison.... but the drive was worth it!
I believe this place has great potential and laud the efforts of the crew, but the place is a mixed bag of very good with some not-quite-right wrinkles. The food was tasty and they have selections that can accommodate anyone. ‘Gluten friendly’ is one term I thought was clever. Vegetarians will find what they need and meat-eaters can find a dish or two. The interior atmosphere reminds me of a small-town New England shoppe and the service is attentive and nice. Why not five stars? I had the salmon and savory cream cheese dish on a flat of toast. For $11, there wasn’t much there. Half of a small plate. Now, for locally sourced ingredients and quality salmon, that may be what it costs for them to stay in business, but I won’t be ordering it, again. Further, the toast was so crunchy that I had to eat it carefully. When I tried to cut the crust, I actually had to use the point of the knife to chop it. Now, once I got a bite-sized bit on a fork, it proved tasty. By wife got the pimento cheese sandwich and told me the crispiness of the bread was uncomfortable to chew. Now, if you went for a salad, and they all looked good, you avoid the above problem, and this excessive crispiness may be a transient matter. In any event, should we ever go back, it will be for salad.
Good Company Cafe catered my wife and Is wedding cake in late December. We met with them at the cafe to design a plan for what we wanted in terms of cake/desserts. Good Company Cafe made it very easy to sit, sample, plan, and be confident about our choices with their team. They delivered the cakes on our wedding day and we were not aware of any issues regarding delivery or setup. The cakes were beautiful and delicious as well! All around, I would use Good Company Cafe for any event and cant wait to re-order a cake for our one year anniversary to celebrate.
Ive eaten breakfast here several times with my son. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the food has always been great. I truly enjoy the environment and food.
Ive been here a couple times and I have mixed reviews.Pros*The place is really cute and the people working are very nice.*They do cheesecake really well. Ive had a mixed berry cheesecake bite and a smores one and both were wonderful.*Their strawberry pretzel salad was really great tooThings I didnt like*My first trip there I ordered 3 things (cheesecake bite, strawberry pretzel salad and a raspberry cream cheese brioche roll) the total was about $10. Later I followed them on Instagram and saw they do pastry boxes where you get 6 items for $15. I would have definitely added 3 more items for $5 if I had known. The girl should have mentioned it maybe. Or they should ask if youve been there before and if you say no they can tell you about that deal.*I didnt like the brioche roll thing I got. I guess I was imagining it being like a Danish but it wasnt very sweet. Maybe I dont know what brioche actually is. It seemed stale but again maybe that is just the way brioche is. Also there wasnt much of the raspberry cream cheese filling so a lot of it was just stale tasting bread.*I also tried a kitchen sink cookie and ended up throwing it out. I think there is so much going on in it it ends up being overly sweet and not tasting much like anything. It was very sticky and so chewy that my jaw hurt from having to chew it so much. The first time I came here I drove out of my way specifically to come here and try it out. The second time I was out that way and decided to pop in and try some other items. I dont think I would make a special trip just to come here again, but if I was out that way again I might stop in to see what they have.It is kind of just hit or miss depending on what you get.
WONDERFUL restaurant! Great food, atmosphere, staff.. progressive, flexible, eager to please.. HEALTHY food, reasonable prices, attentive service! The owners ROCK!!! I will be back as often as possible! If you haven’t tried it, treat yourself and stop in.. I had the Chicken Melt and Mushroom soup — perfect! Yum! 😊😊😊
Great, warm atmosphere with wonderful service and food. The grits are out of this world! I highly recommend the baked goods and any of their coffees. Great spot early in the morning to get work done but definitely picks up around the lunch hour. I highly suggest you try this place out!
Have had a lovely time both times Ive been here. Sandwiches have varied in quality from fine to excellent. Really good soup! I had a dry muffin the first time and a real good cupcake the next time, so sometimes the baked goods are hit or miss.
Went for a quiet Valentines weekend date with my husband. The atmosphere was wonderful. Quiet enough for good conversation and great music choice. The food was to die for. Definitely will be back.
First, this place is really cute and the concept is a winner. I love the atmosphere, but so far my impression of the baked goods is not favorable. Pastry needs improvement. Scones are dry. They taste like scones but are dry, not tender and moist. Pastry not flaky, but dense and lacking air. Tastes like it is made with shortening instead of butter - apricot jam tastes like it is from a jar. Breakfast cake lacks flavor - could use some spice. Blueberry drop biscuit tested like it was cooked with bacon grease. Mouth feel left a greasy film on roof of mouth. Having said all that - this place is brand new and still evolving. Owners are creative and I expect they will work out the kinks in current offerings, before they move on to other offerings like evening options.
Good Cobb salad and potato leek soup!
Such a cozy and pleasant gem of a place. I can honestly say nothing Ive ever ordered was anything but superb. Its a weekly visit for my daughter and I to enjoy delicious food and lovely service to catch up with one another. I would absolutely recommend!!!
An inviting atmosphere very well suited for the brief mid-day getaway from office stress. The ladies were polite and charming while explaining the menu items available for lunch. I had the chicken melt and soup of the day of which both were excellent by all accounts. My only regret was not being hungry enough to enjoy some of their delectable pastries…but perhaps next time.
Great service, chill and funky atmosphere. I had the daily special (pesto grilled cheese and curried tomato soup) and it was amazing! (The cool savory pesto nicely balanced out the soup.) Wasnt too overpriced, and the pastry pudding was fantastic! Definitely coming back!
First off we really enjoyed this place. I had the dad sandwich on sourdough and my wife had the breakfast biscuit. Both were really tasty. They use legit bacon, none of that paper thin Hormel bacon that has a hint of what you think might be bacon. The biscuits were really dense and tasty; in my opinion biscuits are better dense than light and flakey. They used stone ground mustard on the breakfast biscuit, which really made the sandwich pop.The drip coffee was great, they use a local roaster, Roosters Crow Coffee. I personally enjoy their stuff, as an amateur home roaster.Overall we really enjoyed our experience and will be back, hopefully on the day they have live music.
Every time I come here its a pleasant experience and a cozy environment. The staff is always friendly, and I usually have a difficult time choosing a baked good because everything looks so good. Their chocolate chip cookie is my favorite so far! I Highly recommend this place to anyone.
A must try because itll have you coming back for more! I am hesitant to give 5 stars but they absolutely deserve it! The Charcuterie plate for 2 is plenty of food so come hungry! The shrimp ricotta & tomato tapas was wonderful especially coming from someone who is not a shrimp fan! The lemon ricotta almond cake is a must try if you love lemon! Will definitely be back! Support local Huntsville!
The staff is friendly, the food delicious and they bake their own bread and desserts. That makes for a super fresh sandwich. I had maybe the tastiest chicken salad sandwich Ive ever tasted anywhere. For dessert I recommend the strawberry pretzel salad. Wonderful! Ask for Angel and tell her hello.
Very lovely place! Cozy atmosphere, excellent chicken salad salad, and delicious chocolate chip cookies. So impressed and can’t wait to return.
My cousin brought me a box of cookies from here today. It had 5 different types in it. I tried a piece of each one, and was truly upset. I texted her to let her know the cookies were not good. Her reply I know thats why I gave them away. They tasted burnt on most, and they were all very dry.
The strawberry pretzel salad has always been a legendary go-to, but I had lunch for the first time here today- amazing! I ordered a tuna melt; bread was very fresh, and the sandwich was tasty overall. Friendly staff, well priced too. Dont forget the dessert!
Great cozy place for a meal and intimate conservation...great vibe. Had the delicious Kale Shrimp Caesar salad and they have plenty of sweet stuff and pastries! Tonight they had some great musicians to entertain us.
Nice staff. Generous portions of foodBaked goods looked and smelled amazing. Had BLT and water this time, which was tasty. Will go back to try other things soon.
This café is in the heart of Cloverdale. It is in a building that was designed by Bobby McAlpine, the noted contemporary architect who specializes in new structures that invoke heritage. The building itself is cool, with alfresco seating out front, lit with stringed cafe lights.
Great food and service the whole setup has very good vibes of relaxation
My friend and I had a great time there. They have some great vegan options. Their vegetable platter and Avacado toast was very good. The staff was very nice and welcoming.
Excellent choice for coffee, breakfast or lunch! Such cozy atmosphere- feels like European bistro; comfortable chairs, couches, there are options for outdoor seating.coffee options are numerous and delicious, delectable pastry choices- lemon drizzle scone was so light and flavorful!
The quality is matchless! Creative menus that rotate and change bursting with flavor! Friendly and cozy! Fresh and healthy! You leave feeling good!
Very cute, cozy place for a meal or for just a drink or a coffee. Its tucked away location makes it easy to miss, but its worth seeking out.
Pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were polite and helpful. The food was light and delicious.
Love this place. Cozy atmosphere, great coffee & food.
Love this place! I got the Dads Egg Sandwich, so delicious; the bacon was incredible. I will definitely be back for more!
We hired Good Company Cafe to do our wedding cakes and THEY WERE AMAZING! Molly and Ang were professional and personable, and set up a beautiful display at the reception. May we highly recommend doing multiple small cakes for your reception to highlight all their amazing options! We did lemon ricotta (great for all our gluten free guest), red velvet, classic vanilla, and a chocolate cake with espresso buttercream that was to die for. Thanks, Ang and Molly! This is by far my favorite place in Huntsville.
Excellent, relaxing little cafe. Great food and great service.
Recently stumbled across this little cafe. Can’t speak for the food but the coffee is delicious. I’ve tried every coffee shop in the area (Huntsville, Madison, Mooresville, Decatur, Hartselle etc.) and have not found a place I am itching to try again. I only drink black espresso and without adding all the flavors and sweeteners you get a chance to taste the actual coffee. Good company cafe is now at the top of my list for good black coffee. ❤️
Good service. Good food. If youre alone get it to go. Small and close seating.
Great date night spot! We enjoyed the live music and tapas on Saturday night. Delightful fresh pastries.
Paid $7 for a yogurt parfait and it was sour and spoiled. I called and spoke to a manager and all she said was, it is not sour and sorry if you think it is. I will never go back and I will tell everyone I know who wants to try Good Company Cafe to save your money.
Good coffee, food was good. Nice setting for a breakfast. Not meant for large crowds.
Met the perfect balance of quality, speed, and price. For a lunch spot its simple and hits the spot.
Delicious baked items, and yummy food menu. Cool and unique seating area as well
Super food - super service - cute atmosphere- will definitely return
Excellent breakfast! Vegetable frittata & ricotta toast were delicious. We took a banana nutella muffin for the road. We will definitely return!!
Wonderful place and great service! The food was amazing!
Very nice service and excellent breakfast. Sticky buns are awesome. Highly recommend. ..
Great food! Great service! Wonderful experience!
I went to the ribbon cutting ceremony, seems like a nice little place in a nice location
Delicious food and very cute and cozy atmosphere
Food & desserts are awesome!!!Daily specials too😊Angel and her staff are very friendly and treat you like family.❤
Great little cafe! The pastries are delicious and so are the firecrackers, which are addicting!
Great coffee, very friendly atmosphere, wonderful staff.
Main Street Cafe & Bakery is one of our favorite go-to restaurants for a quick lunch, a delicious birthday cake or pie, or client gift baskets for the holidays. Angel Azar and her staff are the BEST!
Biscuit with gravy and bacon. Not a true Southern style biscuit but filling. Nice atmosphere.
