I really like the cleanliness of this store, and the helpful assistance offered by its staff. In addition to high quality products, this location of Ulta has a wonderful salon in the rear. Haircare professionals equipped to handle diversity in full range of services is offered at very competitive, reasonable price.
This isnt my local Ulta I stopped here while in the area and staff was super kind and helpful.
Today was my first time shopping at Ulta and I just want to say it was a pretty nice experience. The store is huge and clean with a large variety of products. If you’ve never shopped there before, it may feel a little overwhelming because of the variety especially if you don’t know what you want. I would’ve given it 5 stars but I didn’t due to the lack of employees. I do want to acknowledge an employee named Macy. She was very helpful, easy to talk to and very attentive until the end. She helped me find great products at an affordable price and didn’t mind telling me to contact her if I needed help with anything else. Thank you again Macy.

Management should teach sales associates about customer service skills (acknowledge customers and ask if customers need assistance). Many associates were standing around talking to each other.
The lady who assisted me was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. The products can be overwhelming if you are not familiar with them and she was a great help.

Ulta has everything you need. Its a no pressure shopping experience. If you need help, someone with the expertise is there, but if you want to browse and find things yourself, thats fine too.

Found all the items I was in search of for my Fathers Day gift and the associates were very helpful.
I had my eyebrows done by Stephanie and it was a wonderful experience! She is very talented and was able to keep my natural shape while cleaning it up for me. It was my first time getting my eyebrows done and she talked me through everything and advised me before beginning. I definitely recommend getting your eyebrows done by her!

Me and my friend walked in without a mask because we did not know it was required in this store. Lady up front had asked if we had one in a extremely rude sounding way. I then asked if they had any mask we could wear and as we were walking away and putting them on she said “Mam you need to put on your mask” in the rudest mosy catty way possible. What i don’t understand is that when she said this we were in the middle of putting them on??? Did not even wanna buy anything because of how rude this woman was and i didn’t. Theres a nicer way to ask someone to please wear a mask in your store. Get some customer service skills you are very very rude. Also if you have gotten your vaccine which i assume you have you should not be so worried! Also would like to mention i am completely fine wearing a mask in a business it is how we were spoken too.
Never had a bad experiance. The staff are helpful and knowledgable about products in the store.A concern for some is feeling judged but i will reassure you in saying that the staff are chill and not judgemental. I have gone in several times looking like a potato and never felt like i was out of place.I do wish they carried more Eco Tools product though. It would be nice if they had pictures displaying the colors of eyeshadow pallets. More often than not people open the boxes cuz you cant tell what the colors are.
Excellent place to shop. Great assortment of your favorite beauty products. They do have a mask policy. The manager confronted an Anti-Masker while I was there, but did not insist that she leave the store when she refused to cover her face.
This is the friendliest most helpful staff youll find. I found everything I was looking for and then some other goodies too! I recommend this ULTA. Management ROCKS! Theres also a couple of good restaurant in the same Plaza.

Was waiting at Brass Tap for my order to be ready, they never actually notified me. I got the two emails (and she said it was only two at first?) the lady on the phone mentioned, one telling me “congrats”, and the other saying we are working on my order (of 4 items) It would be ready shortly, and it never told me they were done, I looked up the hours and realized that they close at 7, so I called immediately. Note it was 7:02 when I called and I’m literally a minute away walking distance because I’m at the Brass Tap.The women answering was still less than helpful. These are things I have already paid for. I have a mutation about me to where I don’t have eyebrows, so tomorrow I will have to work without them and feel sub conscious and uncomfortable. I get you close at 7, but I called at 7:02, been waiting an hour with less than great communication...they still (even though they could answer the phone and were at the store) refused to just let me get my things, that once again I paid for. Attitudes were poor. I didn’t even catch the women’s name.I would not have posted a review if said women wasn’t as rude as she was. I also work at Brass Tap, so we are neighbors. Honestly I will probably not be going back to this ulta. This is the third time I’ve had a less than great experience. Once they’ve left out 2 of my products and never refunded me or got back to me. Another time I was given the complete wrong 50 dollar perfume and they didn’t let me return it, because it was when they were doing curbside only. Like it was my fault the employees gave me the wrong thing.
Incredibly kind staff with knowledgeable stylists!
I was able to go in and get what I came in for without any problems. This was the first time I tried this product and I didnt know what to expect. I dont wear foundation and never tried it. However I am getting older and wanted to make sure I am still taken care of my skin. I have sensitive skin and never put anything on my face but oil of olay, but I tried this Dermalogica product on my face and it has my skin really smooth and soft. I highly recommend this.

I was there last week trying to exchange a hair spray that didnt work anymore that I paid 30 bucks for. The person at the register seem disinterested in helping me. Checking her phone and not really paying attention to me. She stated that it is Ultas policy to not exchange anything that has been used more than 20% and it was passed the 90 day return date. I however looked at the return policy on the website and it doesnt say anything about the 20% clause. It only states that it must be exchanged for the product or you will receive a merchandise credit. I just wanted to exchange it... that is all. Of course the sprayer started working again when the manager monkeyed around with it but as soon as I got home to use it the next day it didnt work again... and I again got frustrated. I have never had this issue with sephora. I have been able to exchange something if it broke or didnt work for me no questions asked. I will not be returning to this store ever.

Very disappointed in my services today. I scheduled a appointment for a facial they have like one person working and she works seldom. Came in for my scheduled appointment and when I got there was notified that Stephanie had a daily emergency which is understandable but nobody bothered to call me or NOTIFY ME OF THIS! So when I got there I was told she wasn’t there. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!! they claimed they tried to cal me but they didnt my phone number hasn’t changed! Just felt like that was an excuse to cover themselves. Save your time and money in their “beauty services” I’d rather go to a real salon where they honor their appointments and don’t waste your time on coming in and having nobody available. I use to love this place but I won’t be back VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!! Nobody offered me a future discount for my inconvenience all they did was change my appointment time without telling me. I already wasted my day waiting and I wouldn’t want to come back later in the afternoon that’s a waste of time a whole day for a facial ... no thank you. Save your money and time go somewhere professional and with better customer service

Call before you set an appointment on their website, drove 30 minutes after making an appointment just for them to tell me “ oh sorry the only person who can do brow tweezing is not here.” So they need to fix their appointment system.
To the middle aged blonde female employee at this location: This location would have received 5 stars if it weren’t for an employee who made me never want to step foot in there again. I spent about 20 mins looking at shampoo with the help of an Ulta employee who was very nice. Then I spoke to another girl who told me about Lancôme’s mascara primer. After she walked away, I had about 4 employees pass by asking if I need help and I politely said no. One even asked while I was on the phone. So when the 7th person came up to me asking if I needed help I politely (or so I thought) said “I’ve already been asked by like 20 other people. I’m ok. Thank you though!” Instead of walking away she asked if I had seen the bundle version of the product I was already looking at that the employee helped me with earlier. I said “yes, someone already showed me that. Thank you. I’m not trying to be rude but I’m ok.” All while laughing and smiling. I thought she was ok with our interaction because she was nice, smiling and laughing along. A few mins later I walk to the front of the store looking at the MAC section that was right next to where most of the employees stand. She obviously didn’t realize I was there because she walked up and began telling the employees this story, but with a negative twist to it. Which lead a chain reaction of them all talking bad.So look, I understand ok. I’ve worked retail for 10 years. You’re going to have customers who rub you the wrong way and you’re going to want to talk about them to other employees. The point I’m trying to make is, maybe make sure the customer isn’t standing 3 feet away from you when you do it. I truly hope you see this ma’am and know that I chose not to say anything because I didn’t want to embarrass you. I’ve been in that situation before and I remember how embarrassed I was when a customer heard me saying something slightly negative to another employee and I was petrified. Please just be more careful.
When they open, on a weekday is the best time to go. The employees are sweet and the store is empty. Late, on a weekend not all of the employees are so helpful and customers will grab things out of your hand, shove you around and no one seems to care. I love Ulta, though and this one is the easiest to get to so I keep going.

Recently visited this location for the first time. I didnt really have a super pleasant experience .. the customer service was not the best. If Im the in the area again I probably wouldnt visit here unless I really had no choice.
Love the new store!! Visited this past weekend and Amber was extremely helpful during my journey to find the perfect lipgloss. I appreciate her patience and willingness to help. She was super friendly to everyone even when they closed in less than 15 minutes - she was still eager to accommodate anyone that needed assistance. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a product or needing guidance to find something new. She was very knowledgeable and made the entire experience less stressful and a lot of fun!

Everyone else in the store was nice but whoever the manager was that checked me out, had a horrible attitude. She got so mad about having to change a price on an item that was discounted and even went and took the sticker off!

Had hair appt. to color my hair gray with Troy, an elite stylist and after a 7 hour process, I came home with a very dark blackish, greenish color. The bleach process was the first mistake and NOTHING he could do afterwards could correct the problem. After it all, he had to cover all the mistakes and banding with the dark black demi permanent which left green shades. The store was closing by now, barely had time to blow dry my hair, I scrambled with a charge of $300 !!!! and was asked to come back so THAT color could be fixed. NO THANK YOU !!! I lost every shred of confidence that any improvements could be made. This stylist may be good with normal color and cuts, but if you are going gray, please find someone with much more experience !!! You will pay triple price like it or NOT !
Better plan on spending some time in here. There is so much to see. Sign up for the mailing list and you will get a flyer with all the current sales and there is always a coupon on the back. If they are out of stock, they will order the item for you. My only negative is that many items I am looking for are out of stock.

Let me just say I can spend hours in Ulta because I truly enjoy this store/company. But today was a record break time (15 mins.). I decided to visit the new store just to see what it is like. I walked in multiple employees looked at me and only one greeted me. Cool. I proceed into the store looking for a product but was unsuccessful in find it. There were employees walking around and would help other guest but ignored me. So I just said let me get these few products and go. I get to the register and the young lady checking out customers was quite rude to the guest in front of me. (I was praying someone else would come up and check me out because today would’ve been the day!) Anyways another employee came and checked me out. I doubt I’ll be back. Bridge Street is much better, has a better variety of skin-tone shades and has such a welcoming environment.
Customer service skills need improving. No employee spoke to me until I checked out. I needed assistance and would have purchased more items had someone offered.
Probably the largest and cleanest Ulta in north alabama.

The ladies that work here were very helpful and nice! The lady behind me in line, not so much lol. Great selection of eyeshadow palettes for a wide range of prices, great place to buy a gift.
Clean store. Overall a good experience. I will say the manager (I believe) was very unpleasant. She unnecessarily interrupted a conversation I was having with a employee. I believe it had something to do with the social distancing... However if you are going to have displays everywhere there are going to be times that its impossible to social distance yourself from other shoppers momentarily.

My favorite store in the world. The points program is the way to go. Its easy to get points and you can get some great discounts by using them. The employees are helpful (sometimes annoyingly so...just leave me be, I dont need ten people telling me that MAC has lipstick on sale...) Ordering online and picking up in store is simple and easy. They even have a little kiosk you go to and pick your items up. And unlike SOME makeup stores, they dont make you feel inferior or like you shouldnt be there (Im talking about you, Sephora). Plus they have nail polish unlike the Sephora here in town.
Im not the greatest with makeup and I felt a little lost at first when trying to pick the right shade and type of makeup... Then Wyatt stepped in! I got the best recommendations and the perfect shade for my type and tone of skin! I love the way my makeup looks today! Ive already gotten several compliments! Thank you for your help!!!
Update 8/13/2020I wanted to give this store another try because it has been such a long time since I had the bad experience. I should have just left it alone. I place an order online for in-store pickup like I do so often at other stores with no issues. I went to the store after my order was placed six hours prior, and proceeded to the checkout counter. I was greeted by young lady who clearly had better things to do than be at work. I told her I was there to pick up my online order she asked for my name and the order was not in the pickup section. She asked could it be under another name and I informed her no, it would be under my name. She still couldnt find it and suggested that I look in my email to find my confirmation. I told her I could not find it and what I needed to do from that point.Shortly thereafter Im assuming a manager came to the desk and informed me that the system sometimes doesnt get orders, or that they dont hear them when they come through. she then handed the handheld scanner to the other young lady who rolled her eyes as she was told to go and grab the two items I ordered. as the other employee was taking care of this the manager then says to me you know were really not supposed to pull orders if they come in after 6. And my response to her was if its a problem I can come back, she says no no no need to come back youre already here. Then why did you tell me that maam? the other young lady who was picking my order took her time it took 15 minutes for her to get a colour-pop face primer spray and it makeup revolution eyebrow pencil. She then completed checking me out while laying on the counter in front of me and typing into the handheld. Without looking at me she reaches up and hands me my bag. she doesnt say have a nice day or thank you or your order is complete nothing. so Im standing there obviously looking confused and I say to her so thats everything? Her response was..yep. I then told her to have a wonderful evening and proceeded to walk out the door. as I was walking out the manager screams at the top of her lungs have a wonderful evening thank you for coming by and come see us again.I dont know what I did wrong, I am just really not fine of the service they offer at this Ulta. its infuriating I spend my money on products there I dont ask you to be my best friend but damn if you could at least be polite. As I said a while back if you dont have to go to this location please dont. This time I will be contacting corporate with my complaint.
I took my daughter for her 13th birthday. Its a long standing tradition in my family that when you get that age. I spoke to Macy a few months before to find out all the details for getting her makeup done and choosing product. The day of Stephanie gave her a great facial and vital information on how to care for her skin. Then Macy did her makeup amazingly. It was very age appropriate and my daughter also named Macy felt like a princess. Ulta is lucky to have 2 great people like that working for them. We will be back. Thank you Macy and Stephanie for such a great 13th birthday.

This is the cleanest, well-kept Ulta Ive ever been to. The staff are all super friendly and helpful. I strongly prefer this over the one at Bridge Street.
I waited in line to receive the gift they were handing out for the first 100 people. It was cold and miserable, but I was excited to see the store. I got a coupon for 10$ off 10$ and a 40% off services coupon. Unfortunately, it was so busy that day and all of the employees were occupied. I decided to wait a few days and think about what service I wanted and what products they recommended to purchase. I went back a few days later prepared to spend my coupon, but was informed that the coupon was only valid on the day I received it. No employee informed me of this, there was no signage in the store indicating this, nothing in the Facebook event indicated this, and nothing on the coupon said must use immediately that day. I tried to explain that I was never informed about this, otherwise I would have absolutely used it on the day I received it. I wasted my time waiting in line, and the employee was not sympathetic in the least. I cannot believe this is how Ulta operates. How can anyone ever trust them to honor their sales/discounts? I heard that the customer service at the other Ulta location was horrible, but I was hoping this location would be different. Very disappointing.

I asked to get a cut and dye in their salon and i got RED hair like tomatoes when i asked for GINGER hair. Now i feel like i cant function because id rather shave my head than go on like this.
TERRIBLE MANAGMENT! I walked in looking for a specific product and the manager made eye contact with me and continued to talk with co workers instead of ask if she could help me find anything. I didnt know where the palette I needed was, so I stood next to them while they talked- WAITING- for her to acknowledge me. She and the employee continued to talk, knowing I was just standing there. She did not care. I almost considered leaving but I really needed the palette so I waited- getting really upset and feeling awkward- FINALLY after about 10 minutes of me just standing there waiting on her to help me ( because there was no others employees around?!?) she stopped her gossiping with the other employee and I was able to ask her if she could help me . I shouldve just interrupted there conversation and forced her to help me to begin with, but I didnt feel like I should, since she was clearly aware of my presence and the fact that I was standing there - I thought she would help me eventually but as soon as they stopped talking, I had to ask her for help or she would have probably still ignored me. I wont be back. I will make the extra drive to visit the one at bridge street. I have NEVER felt so awkward and uninvited at any beauty supply store . I WILL NOT BE GIVING THEM MY BUSINESS AGAIN!
My young daughter is starting to get into makeup and we heard good things about Ulta. She asked me to take her and I cannot express how welcome she felt while visiting. The staff were excellent and helpful in every way to suit her questions and needs.
The esthetician at the Dermalogica counter gave me an awesome facial & the products were well worth it!
Service was great! Usually they have the stuff you need but if you want something in particular, be sure to call and ask first.
The customer shouldn’t have to inquire about the free gift with their purchase, the employees should be on it. IMO, store mgmt should absolutely remove any free gift signage if Ulta doesn’t stock enough to deliver on the ‘deal’. The perception exists of misleading advertising. In these instances Ulta store mgmt should aim to please every inconvenienced customer. Call the bridge street store and get one sent over. Critical thinking, innovative thinking, and treating your customers well...we have plenty of alternative options.

Staff is subpar. Not warm or welcoming, I.asked for help looking for a heat protector for my hair and the girl just talked at me. Never once asking me how my hair is or what works best for it. Beautiful store, sad employees.
