Pretty good chill place, wish they sold some aftermarket stuff Xbox one s or some more N64 games

Lots of retro games to choose from and most being at a very affordable price. Prices do vary on rarity though so what is more expensive is actually more rare but sometimes there are diamonds in the rough that are very affordable. If you love retro to modern gaming without breaking the bank all the time, then I highly recommend you give these stores a visit.I visited the Huntsville and Conroe locations so far.

Used to be a friendly and fun experience, I think it depends on whether or not the counter staff is chatting with their friends/peers about things. Fun selection, and clean place - just dont have high expectations for help from the staff, its hit-or-miss.

It was my first time visiting the store. They have a great selection and an abundance of electronics and games.

Regular customer here and the stuff is typically pretty good in both selection and availability, within reason. Staff is hit or miss, however. Most of them are pretty great, helpful, and friendly yet theres some -without throwing names- that always have that better than you attitude towards customers and act as though theyd much rather be anywhere else doing anything else.

Friendly as anyone could be, but some of the controllers they sell are a slight but hanky. No offense to the store of course. Its the supplier who is selling them the stuff.

Cool selection of posters available! Fight Cl.. well you know I can’t talk about that one. Hmm well there was Kingdom Hearts, Nier Automatica, Fate Xero posters available. Some Gundam, Fate and other anime kits for my crafting peeps. Magic the Gathering, Pokemon and Yugioh card singles are available to sift through. They have retro games and supplies as well. It’s a cool little place to check out while in Huntsville :)

This is a great place for buying items, however DO NOT sell your items here. My friend just sold 800 Magic the gathering cards, out of which he had about 100 rare ones and ultra rare cards. For all of that he got $11 for them ALL.

The employees are very nice, the games they have are a bargain to buy, and they have everything you want. Music, toys, games, comics, manga and many more.

I can understand when things are busy and therefore customer service takes a back seat. However, there were no other customers in the store. My questions were met with studied indifference, and in fact I very much felt as if the clerk was trying their level best to avoid interaction. I was able to acomplish what I came to do but it was far from a fun or pleasurable experience. The product worked but was not in good condition. I think I would have been better served had the store employee been replaced with a kiosk.

They have some amazing games here ranging from Atari 2600 to more recent releases and even some harder to find Rock Band peripherals. I even found some games that Id been looking for and my brother even had a good find for a reasonable price.The reason why Im giving this particular store one star, however, is how we were treated by the staff. Upon walking into the store and as we were browsing, we overheard either the owner, manager on duty, or just an employee, tell all the other employees to keep their eyes on the Mexicans that just walked into the store. Now I know she meant to whisper it so we couldnt hear (at least I hope she didnt mean to say it as loud as she did), but we heard her loud and clear and instantly knew we werent welcome in the store. We had been driving back home to Houston from visiting family further up north and ate across the street for lunch, so we were hoping to stretch our legs and maybe pick something up. But what we didnt expect was to be racially profiled. Theres no excusing this behavior and even if they didnt say our race out loud, everyone else was wearing hoodies and hats because it was rainy and 40 degrees outside.Last time I checked, it was 2018 still. Not 1918. The good thing about living in the present is that Amazon exists, which is a choice Id rather pick than visiting this sad excuse of a store. Maybe try training your employees not to racially profile customers out loud.

Worst Xchange I’ve visited!!! Staff were like Zombies no help at all, the store only had 2 customers!!! Had to find everything by myself didn’t even try when I asked for help.. Will never come back here only going to the one in Louisiana

Best prices and games good staff better than GameStop

Very polite and helpful staff, and a large selection in terms of consoles. However there is mostly only unpopular games and the very few that are popular are marked way up accordingly. All in all the selection is a flash back to the past but your better off shopping online.

The manager is always super helpful and never complains. She is always on top of her game, and she is super good with her co workers and teaching them good habits. Shes never given me any attitude, and all the employees here always help me notice the discounts and deals of the day. I love this place! They also take back electronics.

My young ones are gamers, and my fiance and I perfer going here than Game Stop. The employees greet you when you walk in the store, come from behind the counter checking to see if you need assistance, provide helpful advice and tips, and share their game experience. Overall, it is a professional yet friendly atmosphere. Also, the prices are better especially it you catch the sales. Thank you to all of the employees at Game X Change, and your hard work and professionalism does not go unnoticed.

An excellent place to find nuggets of great gaming from a bygone era. They have games and equipment I had long forgotten about including some rare Nintendo 64 cartridges I had been looking for. Employees are helpful and friendly. Its obvious that they enjoy what they do as well. 10/10 will come back and consider buying Tony Hawks Underground before remembering how badly Eric Sparrow betrayed me and pick up Viva Pinata instead.

Great place to get DVD and old school games.

I love this place, the employees are very nice, I work at the Whataburger across the street and come in after my shift and they never complain about my odor even though I smell like grease and hamburgers. Sometimes I have games Ill turn in with bits of french fries in them, but I havent got any back talk yet. Would recommend. 10/10

Was given the wrong game after money was exchanged (error on their end) and was only offered store credit. Forcing me to shop their again.

Went there with my son. The girls that was working there Friday at noon was not helpful at all.They ignored my sons questions. And when I re-asked the same thing all I got was if its not on the shelf then I dont know and a dumb blank look. A customer ended up helping us on her way out the door.We left and went to game stop. Where we found good service and answers. They even had answers for my son. And he found what he was looking for within minutes. Game stop will be my first choice from this point forward.

Good place for deals on blue ray, old school dvd, games and hardware. Credit on games and movies you no long use. Found some iconic items here. The one thing Ive learned is to double check the disk...some are not so great and some are in perfect condition. Buyer aware.

Ive been collecting video game stuff since I was a child. There are very few of these kind of stores out there! Every time I pass this way I make it a point to stop by this place for their selection and friendly staff. Great place to find cheap DVDs as well!

Great place for retro video games and movies. They also started selling vinyl records.

This is my go to retro store. They have tons of old used merchandise for gamers. Its always friendly and fun to visit. The staff knows gaming and doesnt ignore you.

Really good selection of games for playstation and xbox, nintendo. They even carry old school nintendo games. There are several game systems and a huge variety of DVDs and Blu-ray discs, there is usually a sale. Love this place, always find something good.

Bought a game system from here. Disc tray got stuck and quit working after only a month. Had to go out of town for family matters and couldn’t return. Talked to some guy on the phone and said that we could bring it in once we got back in town. Came back and they refused to take the system back due to it being over the 3-month time frame. Awful place. Do not buy systems from here!

I go here every once in a while main for the 20 for 20 deal on movies the few times I have bought games here the disc didnt work took it back got a different one that one didnt work and so came back a third time and got one that did work. Im surprised they allowed me to do this and the staff the whole time was friendly and professional about it overall Im more likely to go to game exchange than gamestop because the staff are a lot more friendly.

Asked a worker if she knew if they had ninja turtles games in any system she said no she’s have to look them didn’t even offer just kept working.

Sent someone to get a game they ended up getting the wrong videogame. Tried to exchange it for store credit to get the right game in the same day. They wouldnt allow it to be exchanged for store credit and I didnt even play the game. Had the receipt to. Poor customer service and no customer value wont be going back ever again go to gamestop better customer service. The guy would rather me spend more money then to exchange the game for store credit when there was clearly nothing wrong with the videogame. Wasnt even an hour later i tried to return it.

Bought Minecraft for my kids, brought the game home and it didnt work, wouldnt even pull up a screen. Because of the ridiculous 24 hour exchange policy I now have to drive 30 minutes out of my way to exchange it and only hope that the next game works. Will not be going back.

Best game shop for old games!

Garbage service and prices, went to get a game for my kids Rayman legends for ps4 used $26.00 in game exchange, $16.00 BRAND NEW at Walmart and they wouldnt even price match it. After telling them about Walmarts price they had the odassity to ask if I still wanted to buy it from them. Never will go back there. And Id advise everyone to search a game before buying it there because you can get them brand new way cheaper.

Games and merchandise go through absolutely no quality control which would be no more than an inconvenience if it werent for the policy of no cash back on purchases FOR ANY REASON, REALLY GUYS?!?! I bought a video game and it would not work at all, could not even get the menu to come up, I returned it for an exchange because that is the game I wanted, but that copy, the broken one, was the only one they had. Clearly I deserve a full refund. I called GameStop down the street and was told they have a copy so I wanted my money back so that I could get the game and GameXchange policy was to never give cash back no matter what. My only option was to be forced to buy something I didnt want or wait a week or so to see if one of the other stores just happened to have it. I decided it wasnt worth the wait just to risk that, that get might not work either. Have been a gamer for years and a faithful customer to them up until this point, its a shame you lose me forever over such a rediculous policy. GameStop will refund your purchase for any reason at all within the first 7 days, Id highly recommend them I mean why take the risk with GameXchange...it just isnt worth it.

I had to return 4 different Xboxes because they wouldnt work.....and then I got a ps3 that had not been reset and had pictures and personal info on it...come on guys step it up

I bought an Xbox 360 controller which one was $15 I end up bringing it back because it didnt fit my Xbox 360 so I ended up paying $32 for controller where David told me that I could get my money back if I kept my receipt I had 24 hours so I came back within 24 hours and no I could get my money back if I was yall I would just go to GAME STOP

Meh... sometimes theyre awesome. Sometimes theyre not so awesome. Really depends whos working there. If youre interested in classic gaming, prepare for their whole Why you should buy this new 3 in one Chinese console that plays blah blah blah instead of an original Nintendo/Sega console. Sales pitch. Gets annoying after the 3rd or 4th time. If youre wanting to trade a console in youll do better selling it on Craigslist. Good prices on their selection of classic consoles though. Especially PSX and original xbox stuff. Lot of variety as well, Ive found games that normally arent available online there before. Wish they kept their inventory on their website, would make things a lot easier. I would give them a 4 star rating but my experiences there are so inconsistent that I simply cant.

Decent prices but Xbox 360 games are hit and miss on if they work or not and you cant get a refund to go somewhere else I dont want to wait for another copy in a few days that cost me more money traveling theres a GameStop down the road it cost more but their stuff works
