Had been wanting to visit for a while and was pleasantly surprised when we finally did. Great finds throughout the store. Every employee that we interacted with was awesome. Very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Will most definitely be back!

S.E. Salvage has an amazinging variety of goods including furniture, pottery, nic nacs, lamps, and garden supplies including trees.I wanted to build a retaining wall for a raised garden bed and originally considered railroad ties but, with advice of the sales lady, they were actual ties and not the decorative version. Also, very heavy at 200 lbs each.I decided to go with decorative wall blocks and the price was way cheaper than the big box stores. A pallet of 144 pcs ran $233.87 with tax. Similar concrete blocks ran over $300 to $500+ at other stores.The blocks measure 11.5 x 6.75 x 4 inches and weight 10 lbs each. Total weight of 1400 lbs was within the load capacity of the truck. S.E. Salvage loaded the truck.Ive included a photo of the loaded pallet and a close up of a textured block. I may update the review with a finished wall but its too blasted hot to work on it right now.Thanks to the helpful staff at S.E. Salvage. I will definitely be back.Update 10/15/21: Finished building the raised-garden wall which measures 8-ft x 16-ft by 12-in.The soil was purchased in bulk and delivered by Across The Pond. The price was reasonable and the staff were very helpful and courteous. The delivery truck was able to directly fill the garden after removing only the top few stones for clearance.Really looking forward to planting flowers and vegetables. Now my task is deciding what to grow.

Great prices, great selection, friendly staff!! A store to go into at least twice a month as they are always getting new items!!!

I love just coming here and looking around; you never know what you’re going to find. It’s hit or miss as far as finding what you are looking for if you need something specific. But if you adventurous with your decorating you’ll definitely find something. If my home decor style was more eclectic I’d buy something every time I visited lol.

My family and I loved it there. They have diverse amounts of home goods to choose from. The staff was nice and helpful with any questions we had. My only disfavor was some of the pricing. Some items were priced well, and some too pricey. The papasan chair we purchased was at a great price! We definitely be back!!!!

If youre looking for an upscale shopping experience, this isnt it.If youre looking for eclectic furnishings at a variety of prices and other small decor related things- this place is great! They also have a random variety of building supplies such as butcher block countertops and tile. We were looking for planters on this particular day, and got two medium planters for $21 total! We will be back regularly to hopefully furnish our house with mid-mod pieces.

I have been here twice while visiting family that lives locally. They shop here often and recommended it to us. We always find something we love and have to have when we stop in here. We come about once every 6 months and we always find something new to love about it. Staff seem friendly when we are in. Weve only ever dealt with one employee who seemed bothered that we needed help. Overall Its a fun shop for us to visit when we are in town.

If your looking to remodel or are building a new house you have to visit Southeastern Salvage. They have stuff for indoors and out and its great prices are nice to.

Interesting place. This was my first ever visit. I was looking for interior doors. They did not have what I was looking for but I did get some door knobs. They deal in seconds so dont go if you are looking for top quality building materials. However, they have a good selection at a fair price.

Bad business, after making $300 plus purchase was informed that there would be no assistance in loading merchandise in my vehicle which included a large area rug and an over sized mirror. Apparently it was their delivery day so all the help was unloading a truck. Informed the cashier that I had just had surgery the day before and was unable to lift anything and was told I would have to wait till the truck was unloaded. So before making a purchase make sure this is something you can unload yourself because you won’t get any help.

After three years of visiting Southeastern Salvage, I still see the same stuff. Not entirely the same but for the most part, if you see something you like, you do not have to rush back, for a year, to buy it. The employees are very nice and helpful.

Absolutely the worst place to order cabinets from! They never return phone calls, the guys are always off work, they forgot to order two of my cabinet pieces, and they never know where their shipments are! Horrible business! We will never use them again! Dont waste your time or money!

If you love searching for great deals at a place with very poor customer service, ignore this post. For me, it is torture. I would rather pay full price and get treated like a valued customer. I do think you can find some great deals here. Different strokes...

Great place for area rugs and decorations for your home or rental

I was in bad need of cabinets, so I made a trip to Huntsville and went to this store. There are so many beautiful pieces of furniture.I went to the cabinet section and met Israel he was very informative and very helpful he made us feel comfortable, very professional helped me design my kitchen, He helped me with counter tops and colors . Very nice guy .I will be back when I need something, He is an asset to this company. Thank You Israel.

This store has an interesting mix of furniture, wood and other decorating products for your home. I was impressed with the live edge tables and slabs. An interesting place. Must see.

Very poor customer service. “Miss Vanessa” had a very bad attitude right from the get go. My husband and I were buying two barstools marked $98.00 for the set and “Miss Vanessa” and Mark were adamant that we were wrong and it was 98 dollars each barstool. However “dey woulda been gone” if they were $98 for a set of two. This fact continued to confused poor Mark and he kept saying “I’m not sure why it says qty:2.” Perhaps because there were in fact TWO stools in the box Mark. They missed out on a good sale and we won’t be shopping here again until they learn better customer service and maybe some common sense and basic math.

This is a fun store with a lot of unique items. In the past, I have purchased a lamp, a rug, a mirror and a living room cabinet there. They have been doors, which is originally why we went there, and some eclectic bars and other items for your home. Definitely recommend if you are looking for rustic and unique for your home.

If Home Depot and Pier 1 had a baby, it would be this place. Tons of quirky furnishings and a few hardcore building materials.

If you havent been to this store, you need to go! Its really a hidden gem. I would pass by it all the time, and never knew what all they have to offer. I just knew it looked interesting from the road. I finally made it into the store recently and regret not going sooner. This store has everything you could possibly dream of for all different types of home remodeling projects. Inside and out. Speaking of inside and out, this store is so incredibly big that it literally feels like its never going to end. And it has merchandise both inside and outside of the warehouse! You can not beat the prices. The merchandise is current. Definitely a store I wished I would have shopped a long time ago, but am extremely happy I know about it now! I will definitely be returning for all of my future home remodeling projects!

Love this place!!!! It has some of everything! We did a complete remodel and 90% of what we needed came from here and you can’t beat the prices or friendly staff! Israel ( hope I’m not misspelling his name), that works in the cabinet department I believe....knows his stuff and is our go to person for any questions we have!!!

Sweet place to find treasures. Whether looking to decorate a room or a house, or to remodel a room or a house, this place rocksFound the best tile at the cheapest price ever to renovate our kitchen. Found some really awesome outdoor lighting and furniture for our backyard. Never know what one might find and if you want or need assistance, the staff is super helpful. Its an hour away for us otherwise Id visit at least once or twice a month.

A lot of meat and unique furniture

My family and I were in the store around 2pm. We came to pick up a nice area rug and had a budget set of around $1k. We brought our masks but noticed almost immediately in the rug section that 3 of the employees had them around ther neck and chin. We assumed the mask mandate was not strickly enforced so i had my mask around my neck. As we were making our way to the nicer rugs hung up someone screamed across the store very loudly HEY SIR HEY SIR HEY SIR YO NEED TO PUT YO MASK ON At this point thier masks are on and as he was saying this his fellow employees were snickering. It was very embarrassing and the whole deal was handled very unprofessionally. My wife and i both agreed we would take our business elsewhere. The whole time we were in the store the same 3 workers were seen multiple times with thier masks around thier chin or below thier nose. I will also be sharing this experience with our facebook friends and on our business page.

A surprise around every corner. Bizarre and rare items not seen anywhere else. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.

They are extremely well staffed and willing to assist from start to finish. This place is great they rotate stock so if you see something get it bcz it may not be something that they keep regularly, its salvage. But they have a lot of unique pieces and most things are at a super price.

Love shopping here, we just recently purchased enough ceramic tile for our foyer/kitchen. Its beautiful and the price was unbeatable. Well definitely be purchasing more when its time to renovate our downstairs and weve already got our eyes on the perfect snap-lock wood for the dining/living room. Service was great, they helped us load 25 boxes of 75lb each ceramic tile cases into our truck and theyre super friendly and knowledgeable. The free popcorn is a nice little bonus!!

Simply put. Service is awful. I was researching area rugs and tables to purchase within a week. Budget of $2 to 3K. On my way out I wanted a small one for a different immediate use. When I brought it to the front counter, both employees were busy at the computer and talking on walkie-talkies. I asked WHERE I pay for my rug. instead of pointing or saying over here or over there, she never looked up but just said. wait a minute . I can wait. Not a problem. But i wont wait to be assisted by an employee who thinks task oriented projects are more important than customers and customer service. I understand being busy, but not at the expense of losing a sale. I can see why it says NOW HIRING on the front of the building.

Always an interesting place to stop in and take a look around, the merch at Southeastern Salvage is eclectic and ever-changing. I have seen some very striking ceiling light fixtures here (alas, too large for my standard issue 1960s ranch house), carpets, tableware, lamps, wall art, baskets, and lots of unique furniture made from reclaimed wood. I think shoppers need to be on their toes regarding the quality/price ratio of some things offered but there are many good deals. All in all, a great place to find that one standout piece of furniture or item of decor that gives ones living space flair.

Not at all what I expected for where it is located. High end furniture and exquisite decor. Appears to be something out of a New York store. Items and style you will not find any where else in Alabama. A version of Pier One but much more sophisticated and diverse. Employees were very friendly and helpful.

Some good finds if you take time to look. Great price on tile, but most are left outside so the boxes get wet and break down. Good deals on rugs.
