This UPS store had been my go to for a while until I had to deal with Katie. I wanted them to package and ship something that was not allowed. This was totally unbeknownst to me, no one asked me what was in the package, and I obviously wasnt hiding it since I asked them to package it. They did not ship the package and when I called to find out where it was Katie said, We didnt ship your package because you lied about the contents. Ummm...you cant lie about something if youve never been asked a question. Upon my return to the store to pick up the package, after all the customers had left, I let Katie know that she was rude and unprofessional. She came back with a smart remark about how it was common sense. All of this could have been avoided by Katie being courteous and telling me something to the effect of, Im sorry, we are not allowed to ship the items in your package, but you are welcome to pick it up. The only reason this review is getting two stars is because everyone else in the store is helpful, but Katie ruined for me. She needs to take some customer service training. I wont be going back to that particular store as long as Katie is working there.
I still give this location 5 stars. I read a few comments about the notary at this location. I have to disagree with the negative ones on here. I had paperwork notarized a little over a month ago and the notary was professional, efficient, friendly and an all around pleasure to work with. The staff is always prompt and have great attitudes. I have NEVER, not once, had any issue here and I visit this location 2-3 times a week. -Amy Lehman
Such a horrible experience just to take a passport photo: I was first in line the lady at the front desk told me to have a seat and she will be with me in a bit. . in the meantime she was attended the next costumer. While I waited other costumers arrived. Then she yell at me from the desk, ( she didn’t have the courtesy to come to me) and in front of the other costumers asked if I wanted to come back at 10am (it was 915 am) after I was the first in line??? I was asked to come back 45 minutes later??And then she said: or you want to wait until I attend the other costumers! I was in shock! I didn’t know what to do at the moment ( I needed my passport photos ASAP) so I decided to wait. It took her less than 10 minutes to do all the process and she also have the courage to tel me that UPS don’t take passport photos in the morning hours.. really??? It seems to me that this person didn’t wanted to do her Job!!!Such a bad really bad costumer service experience!!! I wished I could give it zero star!! Horrible!
Places opens up your packages when you leave and then wont call you when they have a issue. Would never do business with this place......You might want to check your laws again there is nothing illegal about shipping collectibles. You didnt hear anything in my package you opened it because you probably wanted to steal something valuable and hence why you didnt call me to let me know of any issues. Next time learn your laws before you open your mouth
The store and staff on University Drive are exceptional. I have had a mailbox here for almost a year and whenever I go in, the front desk reception team are polite, professional, efficient and accommodating. Even when this store is busy, they still get customers in and out in a timely manner. I love doing business with this store and I’m glad I choose my mailbox to be at this location. Thank you to everyone at this store for your hard work and great attitudes.

I always use this location because it’s on the way from work to home but not anymore! All I wanted to do was send a slide off of a hand gun to have some work done on it. It’s only a piece of metal. With out the lower you have no gun. I’m sure this is a political thing to this company. I understand not wanting to ship a gun or ammunition if that’s your political view but metal? They would have never known what was in the box if I had not wanted insurance. I checked the UPS website and they said they do ship gun parts. So UPS store what’s up? I now will go a little out of the way. Otherwise I have always had fast quick service. Thank the Lord I now can go to Kohl’s for Amazon returns.
Just phoned and the lady on the receiving end got snappy with me about printing my documents. Is told her my situation and she said these words well you will have to if you want to use the public computer. Very rude.

Horrible customer service! Very rude employees. Rude to customers and to each other! HA! Not my fault they chose to work here. Yesterday, I was checking the opening time for Sunday for this location because I had a package that needed to go out quickly and was astonished to say the least at the ratings and negative comments. I have been using this location for years and never had an issue, especially with Katie. She has always been prompt and helpful with all of my UPS needs and I will continue to use this location.
Good Afternoon....I am totally understanding of a place not wanting to notarize documents related to divorce, child custody..ect..anything related to civil court process. But this place denied this service for a document going to the Arch Diocese that simply sought my affidavit that my daughter had never been married before considering whether they could bless her current marriage. Going Postal...right down street took care of this, so I am good...and have a new place to go for my shipping needs...but it was just something that made you go hmmm...to be continued....

I had very differnt experiences than the negative reviews. I have been very impressed with the staff and the service at this place. After the US Post Office refused to rent me a box due to being from out of state, this place took care of me quickly, professionally and moved the line quickly. They took the time to answer my questions, were professional and competant. There have been several occassions that they were closed but employees were still on site and they took the time to fetch my package eventhough they could have told me to come back during normal hours. Ive dealt with a college age girl, college age boy and a middle aged woman employee - all three have been great.

They are not open during their posted hours nor answer the phone. Been attempting to call and drive to the location during their posted times since a package never made it to the receiver but building is closed...Recommend updating hours to reality...
So called manager was rude and uninterested in customers. She was actually talking on her cellphone and referred me as well as other customers to busy associates. I Would definitely rate a zero but it is not an option. If your not happy with your job, quit. Simple as that.
Katie was awesome sent 3 packages in minutes and helped another customer while I looked up an address.

Ive been using their services a long time. Always polite, friendly, and efficient. They know me on sight, and sometimes have my packages ready before I can find parking and get into the store. Any shipping problems I have had, were not under their control, but they still help me track things down.
Went in for a simple amazon package return and they charge you 2.00 for you return. Defeats the purpose for easy and free return for Amazon packages per your Prime Membership.
Unprofessional employee. Could not get her away from her cell phone to help. No one else in the store. Finally when she did she refused to provide a service UPS says they offer and handed me a business card for someone else. She returned right back to her cellphone. Please note young ladys name was Katie. Worst experience with customer service Ive had in a long time.
Parking is very difficult to find (since most of the spots are reserved for Catherines customers only) and the service is very slow. I have come in several times to find 10 people in line and only one person working the register. The location isnt bad I just wish it was easier to hop in and out.

I came to the store on a Sunday after church. I never seem to make the others before closing through the week. The young lady was so helpful and cordial. This will be my go-to UPS location and I live 7 miles away.

Im sorry to have to leave a review like this, I usually just shake my head and move on, but this store seems to have little regard for their customers and providing the services advertised, and I dont want to see anyone else have this headache. I had a letter delivery on the way to me that required a signature. I wasnt going to be home, so I logged into UPS and had it rerouted to this store, so I could pick it up after work. It never made it to the store. I found out from the local UPS hub that the store refused to accept the package. A delivery from a UPS driver! And its not the first time this has happened. I had to get on the phone and chase down my package, then drive to the area hub to pick it up. After asking around, I was told this is a common practice for this store. If you dont want to provide the service, then dont offer the service!Response to the stores response:Nope, no mistake. Youve done it to me more than once, but never again. Maybe its a UPS system problem, I dont know, but my facts are correct. You might check with the local distribution center, because theyre the ones who called me to let me know they had my package and explained to me why they had it. Thank you, however, for your response.

I dropped off a prepaid mailing item at noon on Monday. It was not scanned in for shipment until 11:44pm the next day. Thats about 36 hours from the time I dropped it off which is definitely excessive compared to the other UPS stores in the area.
I have always had good service from the UPS store. I see many reviews, and do not understand where they are coming from. I usually just only have drop off and occasional ship request, but I have always had good and timely service. They always tape, and attach label no problems. Other competitors I have had to buy a roll of tape for the same purpose. Parking would be the only complaint, but that it not in their hands.
Always been fast and super nice. Guess most people only leave reviews when they are angry. I leave my fair share, but this place has always been good to me.
UPS store says they are not UPS so that when they mess up they just give you the UPS number and tell you to fix it! They put into the system that I picked up my package when I didnt pick it up and said they did it because they never received the package. Now I am on my way back because they called me (found me through Google) and said the manager found the package. Do not use this store! They do not care about customers nor do they take responsibility for their errors!

Katie & her team always do a PHENOMENAL job handling my packages & business. Case in point: this past weekend I had a huge shipment that went out - roughly 50 pairs of sneakers for a charity giveaway. I have used this location several times in the past few years. I have always had a positive experience. The only downside I can think of is the limited parking. Regardless, I have always been treated respectfully by every employee Ive met. I would recommend them to everyone.
Terrible - Came in for notary, was met at counter by unfriendly young man who was well dressed but lacked any smile or greeting. I figured it was because I was on my phone when I came in the door, but I made sure to be off the phone before I finished walking up to the counter. He told me I would have to wait because Katie was already working with someone. Katie called me over to the table with another man to go ahead and get me started, but was very curt and cranky with both of us. I had to fill out the papers a second time (Recommend to anyone needing a notary, always take a backup set of papers that are blank) because she had to see me sign them. Thats fine, but I didnt appreciate the rant and attitude that went along with that. When I checked out there was no thank you for coming or see you again soon which Im glad for, it would have been the one thing that would have made me think twice about not coming in the future. Now I have no reason to ever return. Had I looked at reviews online I would have seen Im not alone and would have probably picked a different location - but hopefully my story will help some others before they have themselves a bad experience. Just to be clear, there were no other customers in the store other than the gentlemen and I getting papers notarized. The whole experience, and other stories I read, probably warrant a report back to the county courthouse about revoking their Notary rights...
Do not use this location. I was standing at the door before closing time and they would not let me in. Door was locked. Girl inside mouthed no. Cannot do business with a group who will not open their door. I have a key. It would not work. No mail today.Day 2. Returned to this location because it is where my mailbox is. A lady was mailing a stuffed Easter chicken to her granddaughter. The UPS girl behind the counter could not have been more curt and impatient with the grandmother. Rude. Eyes rolling. The grandmother was so excited to mail that item, and the UPS employee almost ruined the good experience. The five customers behind the grandmother were clearly watching the bad UPS employee. Two left. I did too. What a miserable place.
Back in 2012, I was being processed to be deploy as a civilian contractor in support of a US-led NATO mission in Europe. I was attending a university outside of Huntsville at that time but my mother still resided here. I had gone to this establishment on several occasions in the preceding years and never had an issue, with the exception of a weird vibe from the owner. I recommended my mother use this establish to scan and email me some documents since she did not have the capability to do so at home and was unable to use the equipment where she worked on the arsenal due to security policies. The owner refused to help her in an extremely short, rude, and disrespectful way leaving her shaken and upset. I have since told everyone I meet to avoid this location if at all possible. For this man (kinder a word than I would like to use to describe him) to disrespect a kind, intelligent, and articulate woman such as my mother over a simple clerical task is appalling. This owner seems the type to fancy himself as some kind of Alpha Male. Perhaps he, like myself, is a military veteran (I am a medically retired combat veteran for what its worth) who has failed to assimilate into a customer service capacity. I still get upset when I think about my mother being treated that way and had I been there in the frame of mind I was at that time the situation may not have ended well.To the owner: I truly hope your business fails, not for the sake of whatever subordinates you employ, but because you should not be in the service industry. Maybe you miss or have always longed to possess authority. If so, why not try out my industry (defense security) where authority is necessary and inherent because your attempt to project power on a kind middle-aged woman is absurd and pathetic.To potential customers: DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!!!!! There is a FedEx across university, if that doesnt work, take the extra time to use a different location. Please do not support this mans business.
The whole UPS operation is ridiculousWanted 2.18 to print a prefilled label.That is absolutely absurd. Way to overpriced for simple little things to cause people time and money.
I visited this location to get a form notarized last week and while filling out the form I made a mistake. I then proceeded to correct the issue. The girl I dealt with then proceeded to direct me to where to properly fill out my information, which I did. She notarized it and I left. Upon trying to submit the form, they informed it was filled out incorrectly. I called the store to see if I could get help in resolving this since where the girl told me to fill out was incorrect and she (THE MANAGER) began to get rude and loud with me on the phone. She told me that its not her problem and that she told me where to put my information. I told her that it was wrong and at this point shes yelling at me on the phone. Then she hung up on me! All this to say, the managers behavior was dispicable for someone who has such great responsibility. I immediately called the corporate office and filed a complaint and requested a refund! Of course the owner of this location was unresponsive, however the corporate office was able to resolve the issue to my satisfaction despite the owners lack of response.
One star because zero isnt an option. Katie the cashier was rude. No customer service skills whatsoever. She snatched items from me with no greeting and instead of repeating what she said when I asked for clarification, she turned the computer screen toward me to read. I will never return to this trashy place.I am also reading the responses from other customers. The replies from the store owner are distasteful, unprofessional and further proves my case.

Set the scene... 5:30 pm and the store closes in 30 minutes. Foreman from jobsite safely rushing to the store to ship to critical tools from Huntsville Alabama to Vero Beach Florida. Katie calms the situation, assures us the package will go out and confirms it will be delivered tomorrow at 12 oclock. 5:50 we walk in and Katie handles everything. Now the crew of 12 men can continue to work through the weekend. Thank God for people like Katie and for great companies like UPS that really care!!!!
$2.18 to print a piece of paper. You guys are out of your minds. She claimed it was a label because of me printing something off of Poshmark. It is not a label. It was still on regular printer paper. Such a rip off and I will not be back.

Do not go here is you do not want to get over charged and crappy package job! Not to mention the girl upfront had a horrible attitude! I get that it is the day after Christmas but if you are going to have an attitude stay in the back and package! Dont come up front! So not only did she charge me $15 for the box but she charged me an additional $15 for literally some tape to tape the box and 3 count it 3 sheets of foam!!! I have been to many UPS stores with no problem but this one was just so horrible I had to make a review so other people do not get scammed like I did! Beware! I work hard for my money and obviously they do not care to over charge! Unfortunately I did not read these reviews before I went there but I am not the only one that has had an issue with them!

I walked in with a bag and they took the parcel and boxed/taped/shipped it all for me. If youre on a budget and not on a timeline crunch there is a post office down the road so you can send out snail mail for cheap. However, Ive used this location many times and never had an issue with service.
I used this location to send my computer in 2015 to my insurance company to fix the power button of my brand new computer that still had the plastic around the edges that I left on to prevent any scratches. Well when I got to the location the woman at the counter assured me that she would place something in the box to protect it from damage. She didn’t do anything of that sort, but instead jams my computer into a tight box and ships it. By the time my computer got to the insurance company it was completely damaged and my insurance company wouldn’t touch or refund me a new computer. I spoke to a UPS head manager and they informed me that they could not refund me or fix it as well due to this location being privately owned by someone. I would have to take it up with the owners whom wouldn’t cover it because they aren’t sure the damages were their locations fault. So, I am out of a $1200 computer that I only had for four months!!! And then they send you a message on here basically stating it’s never their fault that everyone must be mistaken. No this store never wants to willingly state their fault and your customers have to suffer for your incompetence!!!
Poor customer service and unpleasant atmosphere! Unsure of her name...employee with short red-ish hair was YELLING about customers who were previously in the store. Once she stopped, she came to help me acting like she wasnt just raging... I was trying to return an Amazon purchase for the first time and thought I had paid for the total cost of return shipping (to ups and Amazon) but this employee rudely informed me I still owed UPS. No big deal...just drop the attitude. I couldnt find the correct barcode that they needed on my phone (Amazon link was taking me thru a loop) so instead of trying to direct me she walks off and starts yelling again about how she was going to call the other store and tell them to never send them customers again. I finally found the barcode they needed to complete my return and got out of there, she was still complaining.

The owner is beyond rude. He lacks empathy when its their error. I shipped a package and it was not delivered to the correct address and now my mother is going without a phone for at least 7 more business days. Also, he refused to explain what the steps would be if they can not retrieve the package. So now I have to just play a waiting game. I will not ship from this location again. Not that it seemed to matter per he was so proud to say he was the owner of this franchise and not understand my frustration on the issue.

While reading this please keep in mind I am a previous independent business employee who usually sheds bad attitudes off because everyone has a bad day and I don’t typically write bad reviews. I dropped a $109 package off at this location, and was never given a receipt and my item was never scanned in. I believe someone here stole my package and kept it. I have yet to receive any sort of refund, even after opening an investigation with UPS because it was never scanned in. DO NOT go here. In the process of trying to fix this situation I called the store multiple times to try and locate my shoes for them to only yell at me and tell me they are an “independent business,” and they can’t do anything for me, what makes it worse is I had to call six times just to get someone to pick up the phone. This is all happened in January and it is now a few days until May and my package has still not been found and I am urging everyone to never go back to this location. There is a good FedEx across the street. If you don’t believe my story just take a look at the managers comments to other bad reviews, very unprofessional and rude. I hope you go out of business.

Wow 6 years ago I said they cannot answer their phone. And they still cannot answer the phone. Ive walked from earth fare to this store and it Is not cool enough for these people slipping up like this. I want management to explain to me if God himself would called these two women home for answering the phone. And Ive still havent got a call back. Management I dare you to respond putting the blame on me. In double dare you. That is all customer service is now n days. I work customer service and have to apologize for someones screw up. So tell me how much of a bad man I am. I was looking for a Notary I would have dropped $40 in your store for service. Look i will go to the airport road location. And If Im out by university drive location I will drive to the downtown Nashville location before I would even think about visiting your store at this location again. I want management to respond to this.

I visited this UPS store about 3 months ago and from all these reviews the one that stands out the most is the one rating this store as Excellent and basically telling us as customers we have mental problems if we are not happy with the service we receive. Well i think everyone should know the that review was written by an employee. Better yet a Manager. I encountered this manager and he was rude, aggressive and argumentative. If you display any sign if irritation he immediately goes on the defensive. He actually told me I didnt have to use the services here It was like him telling me he did not care if he had my business there or not. I personally will never use this location again as long as that manager is there. The young lady that help me and gave he the managers name was very nice and helpful and appeared embarrassed by his actions. I have tried to resolve this issue with ownership but I have been unable to get in touch with anyone.
Took a pre-labeled UPS shipment for drop-off, as I missed my pickup. The label had a printer toner smudge down the middle. After 2 cursory attempts, the girl behind the counter declared it unreadable. Since the tracking number was also affected, she said there was nothing she could do, that she could send it out, but itll get lost. After I replied that the label came from UPS, and asked what I was supposed to do now, she replied, I dont know what to tell you, I work for an independent business, not UPS. She offered no additional assistance in solving the problem, just a snippy attitude. I think she just wanted me to leave so she could close the store, as I arrived about 15 minutes before closing (it was just a drop-off, after all). Even if I had walked in 30 seconds before closing, a business that wants to stay in business should do their *best* to assist the customer, not do just enough to say they tried and then try to get rid of the customer. From reading all the negative reviews here, UPS should revoke this stores rights to the name, as it reflects poorly on them. Stay away -- use the Fedex Office location across the street or find another place to do your shipping.

(There were 4 people behind the counter that could have been used) Was given some BS excuse by the fake red head behind the counter. Went over to the Madison store and they helped her with no mention of liability blah blah. Another reason not put a hipster behind the counter and expect customer service.Never going to use this location again.

For the second time, I have come by well before the closing hours posted on their webpage, only to find them closed 2+ hours ahead of time. This is why I always choose FedEx when I have the option.
Upon walking into the UPS store I was not greeted. Katie who is the assistant manager asks what can I help you with. I state I want to get some papers notarized before I finish my statement Katie asks what kind of papers I need to know what kind. I tell her its for a used car contract. Katie runs to grab the notary book without telling me the cost. She then sits down and asks what parties are signing. I state they are not here. Katie rudely states thats the whole point of a notary is for the parties to be here thats why you need me. I state oh ok. Katie I was inquiring about the service you assumed and set yourself up. Very rude demeanor and horrible attitude. Shes need to be fired this is the second time Ive been to this location and she was rude. The first time I asked if they sold resume paper she states we do but its mine for me to use and print on. Instead of stating that she couldve stated we can print your resume for you and itll be cheaper than purchasing the resume paper from a store.
