The atmosphere was lively buy not overwhelming. Was greeted upon entering and quickly guided to a table. Our table service from Bianca was wonderful. She had a great demeanor making you feel welcome but also offered service. Both of the meals my wife and myself ordered were wonderful. Good portions and temperature appropriate. The price is a little high to go everyday but a nice break in a daily routine.

I liked it here! Andersen was my server and he was super efficient and friendly but not overly pushy. The food here was pretty good! I HIGHLY recommend the cheese grits and the very berry (?) French toast was fairly good with a TON of food. The bacon was meh, I could have done without it. It did take a long time for our food to come out but the restaurant was fairly busy and our drinks stayed filled so we weren’t too worried about it. The kids’ Mac and cheese was a good sized portion and it was pretty tasty too. Highly recommend. There are awesome views of downtown as well.

Really great food in downtown Indy! The breakfast was amazing! It closes at 3pm so come before that. The coffee was really good too. I was very pleased with the food, the ambience, the wait staff and the prices arent terrible. I think the coffee (free refills) was $3 which was a lot but my meal filled me up and was very tasty.

Great food and experience. Out in Indianapolis for work and this was recommended. Really good. The server recommended their pancake of the month which was an almond joy pancake which was sweet enough without syrup. I recommend if you like eggs.

A little expensive really good food especially for a chain. Located inside a giant office building in downtown Indianapolis. Good staff, but food took a bit to get due to it being busy and out waiter having a ton of tables. Lots of options from savory to sweet. Good drink options as well. Nice technology also allows you to check on your space in line if you are waiting for a table. Once your table is ready, they will send you a text. Nice cleam bathrooms as well.

For a breakfast place, its just typical. Pictured is the banana nut French toast and the all star combo with pancakes. We spent as much money on this breakfast as we did later in the day for dinner.While the thick cut bacon was delicious, there is alot more that can be done to make this place amazing.My suggestion, bigger coffee cups. For $3 I should be able to drink my weight in coffee, I got 2 small cups. There was no enough syrup to finish the two pancakes, so I left half on the plate. Last thing, for $12, the French toast could include a meat of some sort!If you want an amazing breakfast, this place isnt it. If you are looking for specialty French toasts and pancakes, you will find that here but at a price.

Great brunch spot! We went on a Sunday around 1030 and there was no wait. The wait staff was nice and attentive. The food came out quickly and to order (you can make a max of 2 substitutions per order) and everything was delicious! reasonably priced and great portion sizes. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back! Parking is just street parking and nearby garages. If your coming on a Sunday, try for street parking since its free!

The worst part was having to decide what to eat because it all sounded so good. I had a custom egg scrambler that definitely surpassed my expectations of how good egg, swiss, and veggies could be. The breakfast mac & cheese may sound weird but it was a fantastic dish. The red velvet french toast came with fresh strawberries and it was as heavenly and as calorie count-crushing as it sounds. Only complaint would be that the black coffee is equivalent to that of a highway diners, which is sorta nostalgic but not that good. It can get very crowded being in downtown Indy, so avoiding peak hours and especially the brunch rush would be the way to go

Arrived around noon for lunch, ended up getting breakfast because duh!.As I was being seated a nice young man set down a clean glass and a yolk branded carafe, which was a nice touch. Excellent service as I was seeking out creamer for my coffee Peyton(my server) promptly offered any of several varieties and even brought them on a little plate for me. Once returned with said creamer varieties I asked her what I ask everytime I go into a new place to eat. I asked her what everyone orders, and what she gets when she is tired of eating at this place.She rattled off several options including an interesting take on chicken and waffles *spoiler alert* (they put bacon in the waffle), a country skillet complete with all the homefries this girl could ever want, and the croque madame, which is made with a secret batter. I opted for a moment to review, and upon her return ordered the chicken and waffles and the cinnamon roll french toast.They arrived with haste despite being in the middle of what I would call lunch rush. The chicken and waffles was an interesting dish being comprised of what I would call a spectacular example of a waffle. Perfectly crisp exterior with the inner fluffiness I have come to expect from only making it myself or the Belgian style label(and subsequent upcharge) The chicken breast was well seasoned, and only just a tad over done, but chicken is one of those things everyone is worried about undercooking, so I cant be too sad. They included a small side of sausage gravy, which was scrumptious. I wish I would have gotten a biscuit for it. I chose to top this with an overeasy egg to give myself the chance to have another tasty sauce and it did not disappoint. Leave it to these guys to be passionate about their namesake.Cinnamon roll french toast is one of those gimmicky things I like to use to try and ascertain what the quality of the batter is in breakfast places, and this one was on par with others I have had with a light dusting of powdered sugar and one of the three slices being doused in cream cheese icing. The icing was decadent without crossing the border into way too rich, which was a nice change of pace from most cinnamon rolls I come into contact with.This is a pretty good place to get breakfast. While it is less pretentious than first watch, it has quality of ingredients and service to rival it. Making it two steps above my local IHOP and with a similar pricetag I cant complain. Ill definitely be back.

Best breakfast Ive ever had. Peanut butter and jelly was the pancake flavor of the day and they were scrumptious! The portions were plentiful as I made three meals out of the one. Definitely worth the $$. I suggest visiting for sure!!

The 3 of us had expectations about this place. None of which were met. Service was okay, but food was below average at most. Very dull omelette El Torero, chilaquiles that were not chilaquiles but actually nachos with an egg on top of them, and kale salad with horribly tasting chicken. Even the water tasted funny. Dont know what happened, but this place should be avoided.

It was my first time eating at thos place and it definitely will not be my last. The servers seated me right away with a friendly smile.I ordered the chicken and waffles and cant think of single thing I would improve on. The waffles were fluffy and crispy at the same time. The chicken was covered in gravy that may have been the best i ever had (underneath the egg in the picture).I was full nearly halfway through but the flavor made me keep going until my plate was completely empty. I will recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick breakfast in the downtown area.

Ate at this joint on 9-21-19. The service from start to finish was great. The employees acted like they wanted to be there and enjoyed their jobs. I had the California omelette and the wife had the steel cut oats topped with strawberries and blueberries. Both were excellent. I was blown away that their omelettes are made with FIVE eggs. That is unheard of and a big nice block of protein to start your day. The menu included a lot of interesting items that we will trying in the future.

Good location and varied choices.

It was really nice. Customer Service was amazing. I only gave it 4 stars because some of the prices were not that great. Just 2 eggs over easy and 2 slices of bacon, fried cut potatoes and 1 English muffin was 15.00. I should have gotten an omelette fully loaded with hash browns, bacon and English muffin for the same price! Other than the prices, it was a lovely place to eat.

ANY diner would be better than this place. My server was named Kayla and the only reason I know this is because the hostess told me. After I placed my order I never saw Kayla again until it was time to check out. Thankfully, the guy from the kitchen who brought my food was able to correct my order, that Kayla screwed up. When she finally brought the check she asked if I wanted anything else and I said, “some more coffee would be nice.” After asking if I wanted cream (yes) she brought me a GTFO to-go cup with...you guessed it, no cream.But suppose I got a good server...how was the food? Bland. The eggs Benedict just tasted like grease and the potato had NO seasoning and looked like someone deliberately cut the bad spots out and made a plate of them. Gross. The did come with a tablespoon of ketchup though. Someone explain to me why there were two giant bottles of hot sauce on the table, but no ketchup. Is there a case where someone needed 20 oz of hot sauce but only a Tbs of ketchup?? For $20 this place can’t do the basics that my local diner does for $7. Never again will I visit a Yolk. Fire the manager, fire Kayla, buy some bottles of ketchup, and give the cooks some seasonings.

This place is amazing! Great food and pleasant wait staff. Even if my hotel has free breakfast when Im staying in Indianapolis, I eat here regardless. Dont miss out

The breakfast sandwich was amazing. I ordered for pick up. When I got there my food was ready to go. The only negative was that when I got back to work I discovered there was no fork, knife or napkins in the bag. I chose fresh fruit as my side and the pieces were huge so utensils and napkins were a must. But otherwise it was a pleasant experience.

Food was good. Had the bacon waffles and eggs. Excellent wait staff. Thought the price point was a little high for what you got, but not exorbitant.

When me and my wife arrived For our anniversary we were asked for our name and phone number although there were 5 tables available within sight that were for 2 people. We asked why and they said it’ll only be 5 minutes, 2 minutes later a party of 4 walked in to put their name in and were taken right away. After waiting 20 minutes I approached the counter which we had been 5 feet from and was told that they txted us 5 minutes ago. After being sat down we were handed a warm bottle of water by a bust boy who said nothing and immediately started cleaning the bottom of the table next to us. It took another 20 minutes for our waiter to arrive while the party who walked right in already had their food: it took another 30 minutes to get our food:

AMAZING!!! This place is awesome. Never knew they existed until I saw them downtown randomly one day and decided to go in. Staff was great, everything was very trendy and modern. It felt like an upgraded Starbucks. Then the food came out and OMG! Fantastic. 100% recommend at least trying once. Of I lived closer to one i would be there 2 or 3 times a week.

It was a good brunch spot. Potato pancakes were good, blueberry lemon pancakes were good, crepes are amazing.. portions are HUGE! If you are not so hungry, consider sharing or family style is also a good idea to consider.

Pleasently surprised! After reading some of the reviews I was a bit skeptical, however it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I ordered a build your own omelette and chose the cheesy grits and toast! The omelette was perfect and perfectly proportioned, but the grits were on a whole nother level!! Probably the best Ive ever had, at least from a restaurant! I was raised in the south so I know my grits! Service was outstanding as well! I would highly recommend to anyone who wants a quick delicious breakfast/Brunch!

Food was good, very affordable prices, and our server was fantastic. We brought our 5 month old daughter who happens to love spoons right now and every time she threw one on the ground, the server came back to give her another one! On your way out they offer you some coffee to go too. A great way to start your day!

Indy must see place !!

I always love visiting this Yolk location in person! In person I usually receive quick, friendly service and great food. Today I tried to order online through their website today, and my food arrived an hour late (2 house after I placed my order), wrong, and stone cold. The DoorDash driver who brought my food was great, apparently he got the order after the time it was supposed to arrive, but I was unimpressed with the Yolk online order system, which seemed to think my order was delivered on time. There was no way to follow up on my order, leave a review for them, or change the tip I left. I also had trouble finding the phone number to call. I may try to order through DoorDash next time.

This place is very trendy and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is great and it hasnt been horribly busy the few times Ive gone. The service is also excellent. My only complaint is that because its downtown, parking is rough.

Have been to other locations and enjoyed it, but if you are going to put a banner across your menu claiming the best breakfast in town then it is expected that proclamation holds true. All the dishes ordered were not visually appealing, nor were any of them seasoned properly. I very rarely if ever add salt and pepper to any dish that I get or eat, but it was the only way to make it remotely flavorful. The cheesy grits was actually gritty cheese sauce; basically it was a bechamel cheese sauce for mac and cheese that was sprinkled sparingly with grits and well under seasoned. The omelet that I had gotten was quite dark and overcooked, and the fact that it was filled with different meats and vegetables, I expected big flavor. Instead it tasted like they rinsed all the flavor out before adding it to the omelet. The potatoes on the other dishes ordered were cold and undercooked and basically saturated in oil. By far one of the worst breakfasts Ive had in quite a long time.

Update: I initially gave 1-star for my experience detailed below; since then I was contacted by Yolk management and everything has been settled. They offered their apologies and to refund my meal. The management clearly cares about their customers.—Initial Review—The food was good and the restaurant was clean but the reason for one star was the terrible service.Our server forgot to put our order in so we had to wait an additional 25 mins for our food. I know that mistakes happen but the fact that she didn’t seem to care is why I’m giving a low rating.Once we found out our food was going to be late we asked if there will be a discount. She said she’d check with the manager and walked away.We hadn’t gotten an update so we assumed we’d be taken care of but once we ate and received our bill we saw that no money was taken off. We asked if some money could be deducted so she went back to the register to update our bill.This tells us that she cared so little about our food being late she was going to charge us full price even after we asked for a discount.We won’t be going back.

Well I dont know where to start. First off we did come on Easter Sunday so I dont know if that had any influence on the quality of the food. My wife and I got no specials even after asking out waitress about them, but then heard another waiter tell another table about the 3 daily specials they had. We ordered and the food came out within 5 minutes. Sounds great except the food was room temperature.... my wife immediately had the same complaint. Room temperature sausage, scrambled eggs, and potatoes, almost as if the cooks had made a mass quantity of everything and dished it out as it was ordered. When I dug into my recommended cinnamon roll pancakes, my very first bite was mostly raw dough. 1 out of 3 pancakes were edible in the least. I told the staff and they offered me another free order of cinnamon roll pancakes to go but I honestly never wanted to touch another cinnamon roll after that. All I can taste is the egg wash. They did however take the pancakes off my bill. So in summary-Too expensive for the food amount and qualityNice but uninformed staffAwful experience with the food

First time there and I had the pancake of the month. My husband had a speciality omelet. We were both happy with the service and the food. We sat at the bar rather than a table and the service was good. Seeing the service up close was interesting took the employees working as a team. They all tag-teamed to get things done and stocked up while taking care of their own customers. The cooks in the back were professional and clean. All together, a good experience.

I was really looking forward to this place, especially after reading the menu but the food for me and the two people I was with just wasnt good. I got the chilaquiles which were just eggs on top of nachos. My wife got the baby kale salad which was mediocre overall but she said the chicken seemed old which is never a good thing. And the other person got the torero and it was just meh and the queso was strange. The service was pretty good though.
