I had a cake emergency, and this place saved me!!! I called and was able to get six delicious mixed cupcakes and a batch of cake pops same day!! They were so nice, and it was all delicious!

The best of the best.I was introduced to the Vanilla Bean Bakery by our receptionist while I was spending time in our Indy office a few years back and they had catered in some holiday treats. I was so impressed that I ordered two dozen cookies to take back home with me for that years holiday get together with my family. Finding any consensus amongst my family is not an easy task, but the one thing everyone agreed on was that I should have brought more of these cookies. Both kids and adults alike loved them.Ever since then, the cookies have been a staple of the familys Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts. Then Covid hit, my office closed in Indy and as we inched ever closer to Christmas I began to realize that there was little chance wed be any near Indy this year to get our cookie order. Vanilla Beans very own Kristy came to the rescue though. She went out of her way to accommodate our cookie order this year and get everything shipped right to our door. The cookies were beautiful as always and in perfect condition thanks to the care that was taken in packing them. Christmas is saved. Thanks again VBB, youre the best. See you again next year!

I have tried to truffles, cookies and cake pops, they have always been super good. I got brownies the other day and I don’t know what to say other than wow! They were both Cakey and Fudgy. To me they were the perfect brownie. The only regret is that I don’t live closer, so that I could have these every day, Yum Yum!

The truffles are to die for!! Absolutely amazing taste and texture. The brownies were also very tasty. I live over 30 minutes away and make the drive just to get truffles!

I don’t like leaving negative reviews but these cupcakes were bland. I ordered four different flavors and they all tasted like flour.I’m a chocolate lover and I was severely disappointed to find that this was not a true chocolate cupcake. Also the icing tasted like whipped butter. It wasn’t even sweet or had any flavor. I thought with this being a bakery that the flavor would pop but sadly the cupcakes tasted like store bought cupcakes with butter icing. I honestly don’t like leaving negative reviews but I think this could be used as a lesson.

First time visitor, but will not be the last. Wonderful cupcakes, the chocolate is amazing! Staff were very helpful and friendly.

We used the Vanilla Bean Bakery for decorated sugar cookies as part of our favors for a baby shower. They were beautiful, and tasted delicious. We got so many compliments on them. Highly recommend!

I have been meaning to write this review, but I have let time get away. I ordered several dozen individually wrapped cookies for an outdoor graduation in summer 2020. While they looked fine, they tasted horrible. Honestly Kroger or package sugar cookies taste 100% better than these. They were bland and very hard and crumbly and seemed old and stale. I had nearly 3 dozen cookies go completely untouched and eventually in the trash. Guests did ask where they were from as they thought perhaps they were not from an actual legit bakery. It was not only embarrassing but a complete waste of money. Perhaps their other baked goods are fine, but stay away from expensive custom cookies.

I had a wonderful experience using the Vanilla Bean Bakery. I needed to get a dozen cupcakes for my bosss birthday. I called several places and none of them were open. I called the Vanilla Bean Bakery and they were open and could provide me an assortment of cupcakes. They were delicious, so light and fluffy and the frosting wasnt to sweet. Everyone in the office was very pleased and my boss was surprised. I will be using them again not only because of how good the cupcakes were but because the customer service was above and beyond.

Was hopeful but ended up disappointed. Cupcake frosting tasted like it came from a tub, and cake had little flavor or stale, oily taste. Vanilla and Boston cream bad, red velvet flavorless. Better cakes from Gigis, and Simply cupcakes. Darn.

Amazing cupcakes!! I emailed and asked for a dozen assorted cupcakes for my wifes birthday. We were not disappointed not only did we love the way they looked but we loved every bite. If you are looking for cupcakes or delicious sweet treats I would highly recommend Vanilla Bean Bakery even in these trying times.

The owners were very helpful. I can preorder my choices and pick them up or do the delivery service.My choices were delicious. I love the truffles! But they need some sort of deal on the more you buy the better the price...example- buy 12 get 1 free....or a frequent flyer card....I go alot....lol

What a pleasant find off the internet!! EXCELLENT customer service and the product is delicious! I had a tough time coming with an idea for my companys 15th anniversary. We have a plain logo and focus on cybersecurity, but the cake decorator/owner was pleasant to work with and together we came up with an excellent idea!! Its hard to please software engineers and they all raved! Definitely choose this bakery for your custom cake needs!! I will be back for many kiddo birthday party cake orders!!

This bakery is phenomenal! I’ve used them now on a few occasions and every single time they get my vision perfectly. The flavors are all so good (cinnamon, strawberry, lemon, pink champagne, etc) and their designs are adorable. Kristy has been wonderful to work with on each occasion. HIGHLY recommend Vanilla Bean to pop in for a random sweet treat as well as planned party desserts!

The cupcakes tasted like they were made from a box mix. The icing tasted like shortening. These were the worst cupcakes I have ever had.

The lady working was clearly training the other on the register. No problems with customer service. No problems placing an order. The Boston Creme Cupcake is a fantastic idea. But I purchased 6 cupcakes with 5 varieties and had no interest in any. Also, the vanilla was one I figured would be my safe choice, when actually that was the only one we ended up throwing away. Im sure this bakery has a great thing going, but for me it missed the flavor mark but did great in other areas.

The cake itself was amazing and super moist. I ordered a complex Grateful Dead themed birthday cake topped with a Jerry Garcia, Bertha skeleton, dancing bears, roses, and tie dye on inside and out. Kristy did an amazing job! The amount of detail put into this cake was astounding! This cake just made my husbands birthday! The look on his face when he looked at it was just priceless!! Customer service is excellent, A++, always got back with me by the next morning. If your looking to order a setailed and possibly complex cake, look no further! Vanilla Bean Bakery makes some of the most beautifully decorated cakes for a reasonable price. All of their cakes and cupcakes taste divine! Staff are friendly and very helpful about custom orders. Just grabbed 8 cupcakes on our way home today. They look great, appealing to the eye. When we got home and sampled them, we were so disappointed. The icing is not buttercream. It is more of a whipped, but it leaves a strange film/after taste in your mouth. I think they may use a vegetable crisco instead of butter. Secondly, the flavors all taste artificial, like it was made from a box and not from scratch. Im from the south so I know what fresh, from scratch cupcakes and buttercream icing should taste like. I will not go back. Customer service was good though 😊

The customer service was wonderful. The design of the cake was good. However, the taste was truly disappointing. When I placed the order, I clearly stated that I want a flavor that would be different that what I can get from Walmart or Meijer. They said Vanilla is their popular flavor. So I assume itd taste way better than the vanilla cake we can get Walmart. Turned out, it was not good. It crumbled apart as we cut into it. Will not order from here again.

A little pricey but definitely a delight for the taste buds.
