Dr Sanders and PA Plitt were the first people to identify the problem, that was manifesting through life changing symptoms, that I had post Covid. Who knew that my vestibular world was even in existence?!? This was all so new to me and many physicians that I saw before Balance MD were stumped. I often left other physician’s offices feeling like a mental health patient- although I knew there was something physiologically wrong with me. I truly felt hopeless and helpless. Once finding Balance MD, I was assured that my symptoms were true to a vestibular migraine. I was reassured that, in their eyes, this was a common battle. I was also reassured that together we would work diligently at getting me back to 90% better. In a time when I barely even felt like myself- 50% better would do. I am here today to say that, within less than 6 months, with much intentional activity to care for myself, medical professionals, family and friends support, my faith, and Balance MD… most day I feel 90% better. I’m now off the couch and can be found driving, working, and participating in things that I once loved.

After 3 years of being dizzy/lightheaded and being to some quacks who had me convinced I had a dozen sinus, ear, & nose issues, I was referred to Dr. Sanders by a new ENT doctor. The balance test was excruciatingly difficult, but did seem to rule out most of what Id been told before. Simply learning from Dr. Sanders & reading the paperwork he sent me home with helped me find my triggers, stop them, and changed my life literally overnight. No more dizziness and sleeping BETTER than a baby now. I realize not everyone will be as fortunate as me, but paying attention to the doctor & the information he gave me was all I needed. Also appreciate the option to schedule virtual visits for follow-ups for those of us that dont live nearby. HIGHLY recommend these folks.

The staff here were wonderful. Although nothing was found that resolved my dizziness and other issues related, it was worth a shot. It is however the billing manager, Kevin McNaulty, that I had no problem telling him how I felt for he was entirely disrespectful and assumptive. I called in on numerous occasions to resolve my bill. I was met with a very long waiting period, for Dr. Sanders took his time in providing Kevin an answer, or Kevin simply forgot to return my call and wanted to save his own behind. I received another bill stating that I would be turnt over to collections, therefore I called in to ask, why have I not received a call back from Kevin to confirm or deny the arrangement we discussed? A day or so later Kevin called me and was lets say, distasteful to be kind. I am also pregnant so he was pushing buttons he didnt want to push. Very, angry little man. I sat on the proposal that wasnt what we discussed, until I contacted the main office so I could speak with someone else. my account was turned over to collections immediately. Great staff again, I still live with my issues, but the experience with that manager turns me away entirely. I wish I had never walked in that office.

My overall experience was extremely poor. I showed up to the Drs office to what ended up being about a 10 minute long appointment where no tests were conducted and was billed $163.17 after the insurance wrote off another $137.83 (so $300 total!!). The Dr. asked me a few questions handed me 2 photocopied pieces of paper and told me my lightheadedness was one of these 2 things. To read these at home and decide which one sounded more like what I had...(ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!) I asked if dizziness could be caused by digestive issues and he told me no. (Which led me to 2 conclusions..He doesnt know what he is talking about and probably hasnt stayed up on modern medicine as it is extremely well documented about the connection between the brain and the gut.)(FYI I did get it resolved and it was a gut issue)I left the office feeling really upset and brushed off. I felt like the appointment was unnecessary to schedule if he wasnt able to conduct any tests. I also felt the appointments were being staggered on purpose to get more money. He was planning on scheduling a visit to come back for testing and a 3rd visit to give me the results of the tests. So 3 visits to do an audio test and tell me what it meant..why couldnt all of this be done in one appointment? I canceled all follow up appointments with this Dr. and made an appointment with another Dr who was able to resolve my issue.

I saw Dr Sanders and then almost a year later I start receiving bills. Turned out because of a miscommunication between my IU Health doctor and Dr Sanders they never sent it to my insurance. Now they say its on me because its too late to run through my insurance.Follow up. I received a call today and it seems that my primary care doctor dropped the ball on the referral and the Balance MD guys are trying to help me get this resolved.Additional follow up. They still havent billed my insurance and sent me another bill. I think they were worried more about the review than they were helping me.

I was 45 when suddenly the world started spinning, like it does when you are a kid and spin in a circle for 20 seconds. Except it didnt stop; it just kept going, like I was always falling. At first, the doctors thought it was the flu. Then that it was vertigo. Then we eliminated brain trauma, brain cancer, and then BPPV. It wasnt until nine months later that I found out about Dr. Sanders and Balance MD. He did the right tests, made the right diagnosis, and finally the world stopped spinning. It turns out that my balance nerves in my left ear were dead. Nobody else had the expertise, the equipment, or the staff to help me. But Balance MD did. And how! Focused and specific physical therapy coupled with a small dose of medicine, and I am right as rain. Thanks Dr. Sanders!

I began seeing Dr. Sanders several years ago for unexplained dizziness. After a battery of tests, he determined I was having vestibular issues and referred me to physical therapy. That therapy was a godsend and gave me back my life. I am forever grateful. Truly a miracle!
