I like this place; all of the stores are interesting to browse. They are usually my first stop when I have a project. If you find something you want, or even might want, grab it then. If you wait a half hour odds are it will be gone - whatever it is. And please, dont try to talk down the prices. It is a charity after all. And consider putting your loose change in their donation jar. Theres a good chap.
Great place for home improvement on a budget. Wonderful items you normally wouldnt be able to afford. Great service to community.
The google directions are wrong! The entrance is on 22nd street. This place is great for most home furnishings. In particular, if you need a bathroom vanity, or a door, or a kitchen table, or couch.I also routinely donate any unused home goods here. They’re basically only open during business hours, so keep that in mind and plan to go during the day.
Show up on time and were very nice picking up my chair
I have supported the store in the Fishers area and planned to bring a number of items for them to sell. However, based on the negative experience I encountered the last two times at the facility, I plan on giving my items and money to another worthy organization. I planned on spending $650 today with pick up tomorrow morning as we have a truck scheduled to pick up as soon as they are open. Of course, that wasnt acceptable. It makes no sense to me. If we dont pick it up. The organization has the money and the furniture! This was my second purchase this week but will be my last at this site.I think the manager has changed. Perhaps someone needs to remind him this is a charity organization. Being nice to people who are buying and giving to them should be treated with respect.
I started my great experience with these folks by sending a message via their website and received both a follow up via email and a call! Everyone was super nice and I was able to schedule an appointment for my donation to be picked up in about 2 weeks. Make sure you ask about items they dont need (because they have too much, like my headboards, railings and a desk); it was suggested that I reach out to the Fishers and Avon locations to check if they have needs. The team members who came to my home were super friendly and very efficient - with a donation of 10+ items, they were in and out in about 40 mins! I really appreciate that this location is cool with moving donations out for you, as opposed to the Boone County location which will not move anything for you. Overall, I had such a positive experience with these folks here (Downtown) that Im going to be making another pickup appointment for my S/O before he moves in with me!
Love the Restores. Can usually find something I can use. Found a 40amp 240 volt timer i can use to turn my electric clothes dryer off. Dryer timer doesnt work and a new one is $100. This one only $18.
Love this place and they always have great items to choose from! Better be prepared to come early and leave at closing looking and buying all the items you can refurbish and items that are brand new and no work !! Great staff and they keep the place looking great and always ready to help!
If you have weekend projects for your home, this place has what you need to get it done.
Great place to browse and get supplies and/or ideas. But if you find something you like be prepared to move on it- their inventory rotates quickly!
And they even help me put it in my car I really appreciate that thanks a lot of good stuff there
This is not about the prices of the store, or anything to do with the appearance, quality of goods, etc. I am here to simply warn those who might try and work at this company.“The road to hell is paved with good intentions” describes the management. They put on a facade of wanting to help you succeed later on in careers of your choosing while also firing their staff left and right. I was such termination, and even though it was on legitimate grounds, I still feel burned by the company as well as the 6 other employees who were terminated before me.In a store with a regular staff of 12 they fired 6 in about 2 weeks. The managers never agree, tell you that “We’ve got your back” “We understand that you’re going through things in your life” and so on and so forth.I was fired after losing my car and missing two weeks of Unexcused work absences. After I returned, my supervisors (who won’t be named)told me they would try and help me keep my job. No more than 3 weeks after the incessant I was let go for a minor infraction involving being late for a company pick up.Again, legitimate but I was also told that they would try and appeal to our store owners to help me keep my job.Enough about my plight, now on to the management. Shady, lying, never upfront, and they never ever relate to the “issues” they pretend to. They barely run their store and cast blame to the workers who come in for 8 hours moving furniture. You’ll get two days off but on average they’ll be 2-3 days apart, and since it is a tight knit workplace. They make it known when you displease them by texting or calling your personal line with bribes and pleas to come to work because 3 out of the 6 people still there called off.Don’t trust them if they tell you they want to help. Don’t associate with them outside of the boss/employee relationship.DONT get your hopes up because habitat for humanity is missing the simple human trait of caring.
Its a good place to shop at i got a brand new dresser for my daughter
People skills are lacking ttt⁵⁶
Never know what treasure or home project might be inspired by visiting.
The lack of return policy takes advantage of those in need that shop here because they are in need. People should be able to exchange items. It’s as though they put that rule in place to gain back donations that have been sold because people cannot do anything with those pieces. Don’t think I’d like to support that cause.
They have nice things at good prices. The staff were not friendly. You have no idea who works there and who are customers.
Always find something I wasnt looking for :-) thumbs up
Great deals on all kinds.of stuffWindows doors. All building materialsA lot of savings
Clearly an example of a store where you need to be very careful about what you buy. Some of it is good, but some of it is clearly damaged merchandise that they still want a high price for. Considering most of this stuff was donated, many of the prices are too high. Buyer beware. You can get some Bargains here, but its also possible to get totally ripped off. Just make double sure what youre buying before you pay for it.
Nice people but always very busy
I liked it
Awsome and cost less to redecorate😊
I had a good experience there I was able to get the to her I needed for a good price and they helped me out to my car with it. Because she was very nice and answered all my questions.
Habitat was fantastic I got enough vinyl floor backing to cover designated space and porcelain tile for bathroom at an unspeakable price
Very expensive. Even a severly damaged bathroom vanity is still $300. Great cause but prices are outrageous
Poor experience ..Staff lacks common sense. They wanted to up the price of an item I was purchasing/ the item was already priced. I could not believe it ..Utterly Ridiculous. I did not allow them to do a bait and switch. I purchased at original price ... the Audacity of Goldie Locks
I work there and it is an awesome place
Great people and the best finds of any habitat that I’ve been to! Lots of new-in-box donations. I’d give them 10 stars if I could!
First time going to the store! We will definitely be returning!
I love the habitat restore. Im a regular there.
It is an awesome place to get supplies needed for small projects you can diy yourself at home!!! They always have someone to help load if you need help with it. Ill always go here before the chain stores because it is just so much more cost efficient!!
I Simplyyyyy Lovvveee the Greatttt deals I received. The Employees were SUPERB ☺️. I will definitely be going back. Thanks Ladies at the front desk.
Nothing of interest this time. They were selling a Christmas items at the same price as on the original store price. Crazy! Second hand?
Wonderful prices. Variety of needed household n furnishings for most of your home.
It is a nice place to shop, the cashier is extremely nice
Depends which store you go to. Downtown Indy store selection is soso. The staff are nice and helpful. Youll still be able to find a good deal on something. Selections will change so its a good idea to check them out often. If you see something you like, get it because it could be gone by the time you go back.
Nice items! A variety of things!
It was great
Great place you can find some good stuff at amazing prices but over the years, the quality level of service has gone down a bit. They used to be good about negotiating on price but now not so much. I still visit frequently to see what they might have. They are always willing to help you load in the car what you bye. Unfortunately, you always have to take it with you and cannot leaveWithout the items even to pick up later that day. That’s a little bit unfortunate to me.
Browse, for hard to find cheap accessories, furniture, electronics, etc I found a king sized sleigh bed headboard, footboard and rails, for $60.00 in very good condition. I was informed by friend saw the bed and told me hurry up and purchase it before it was gone I did and it was a bargain. Worker help load it too.
Lovely staff; always helpful.
If you know what this place is then give it five stars. If you want a box store go there. Thank U Habitat for Humanity; A++++++++ you knock it out of the park always!
Good cheap stuff.
Well organized for the most part. Lots of choices. If they had marketing help in the warehouse it would be wonderful.
Great deals, great stuff, great staff. Different inventory on a weekly basis. As far as people complaining about how the store doesnt do holds. If you know youre in the market for a large item, bring a vehicle that can haul it..common sense. Plus they have a board with hauling services. And they will work with you if you are polite.
Prices are totally way to high !!! We need to look in to this place prices to high does not help poor people.duhhhhhh
I have been buying here for 9 years, and it used to be the best and the cheapest, not anymore, I bought a light bulb $1, each, then two light bulbs for a dollar at Dollar tree, used carpet 10x10 $88, Liberty Carper new remnant $52, used tools, circular saw $25 used, new at Harbour Freight $29, brand new with warranty, on and on, this place has went sky high. Goodbye, I am shopping elsewhere.
Nice place.
Understandably limited selection but if you are flexible the prices can be very good on some types of items like appliances, lighting fixtures and some construction items. They tend to be randomly picky about what they will accept as a donation, as well. For example, they will tell you they dont accept scratched or dented appliances but then have several for sale that look worse. That is, have a backup plan if you are expecting to donate something. Overall worth making time to check out.
Terrific store with helpful, knowledgeable staff! Good quality items at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend.
I come to habitat once a week to find something that I cant live without bought 15 items, today only paid 23 dollars. Awesome. Go to.
Products available are great but layout is crowded in areas and would not be wheelchair or assisted mobility device accessible. Other areas are quite wide and would be accessible.
I must admit, I was a former employee. That being said, its a very cool place. Very reasonably priced furniture and appliances. The proceeds also go to building houses for the needy. So, its a win win.
The stock at these stores changes regularly. So it pays to stop by and take a walk through. The staff is always very helpful.
Nice place have about everything you need but some of prices is like buying new stuff but its old and used so pricing is kind of high on some stuff
I purchased a dryer from the Indy Habitat for Humanity ReStore 4 years ago and it is still running strong! It was a great price and received great service. I was so pleased with my experience that I went back last month when I needed an oven and again found a quality used oven at a great price. I really recommend making the ReStore your first stop when you are shopping for your home. Think of it as the Loews of Goodwill!
If youre into repurposing and recycling, Great. Or need things for your home like cabinets, doors, windows, furniture, etc. then check it out. I stop in just to browse and seldom do I leave without something. Plus, look at the good work Habitat for Humanity does helping communities and families stand. Everyone should recycle because that couch youre tired of and think is trash might be another persons only piece of furniture. It might be the start to a new life in a new castle. Ok, maybe not a castle. Pass it on.
They sell a wide range of used building items. Mostly cabinetry and plumbing appliances, but lighting, furniture and doors can be found. All items are sold to help Habitats mission locally.
Great little upscale food shop/butcher/wine & beer bar. Amazing gelato!!!
Lots of different things from plumbing, electrical, building, appliances, tools, home decor and lots more! Friendly staff and wheelchair accessible.
I love this place always well-organized good prices decent people to work with you and people there to help you load I suggest going and also helps out building the Habitat for Humanity houses not like that other place down the road call nuts that place looks like a junkyard
Best place to get low-cost items for home repairs!
Always a great alternative to fixing up your house. Find some great deals and save money!
Nice place to find used doors and windows along with various bathroom vanities and kitchen cabinets some furniture
I just left HABITAT, I found many items I needed. I bought them, I appreciate them working with with me and my income. THANK YOU
They had lots of options! Ill definitely be back! :) I do wish they had shopping carts though.
Prices are almost retail on some items so your motivation may be to help the non-profit by buying expensive used stuff.
Lots of good deals! Love the prices.
Some prices are good but some are outrageous for used items. You have to buy and take. They will not hold anything so buyer beware.
Always appreciate visiting here!! The people who volunteer and work here ar always kind and helpful!
I enjoyed checking out items that one day I may purchase in the future.
I purchase an item earlier in the day saturday for some else, I had let them know that i wasnt going to pick it up until later on when i get my truck, they said thats no problem just bring your reciept to pick it up, i said could you put a sold sign on it, they said yes,but when i came back to pick it up it wasnt no where to be found in the store, so i lost an delivery run plus i have to explain to the other person what had happened to her item at the store (How would you feel about that type of experience)
Good place to go to if you need to redo your bathroom, kitchen in your home like doors, kitchen cabinets, door knobs, etc.
Very friendly and helpful. A lot of good deals. Plenty of variety.
I love going there the prices are right and they.have a big selection
The prices are pretty high. 60-70% of what retail is, even if used. Old wooden eight foot ladder was $50 or 60!
Terrific staff. I was able to find a stove and dishwasher for a rental property.
Friendly staff, good selection and prices for a great cause.
We had never been here...nice selection of many different things at farely decent prices. If your creative in the diy area, this is the place for you
Its wise to not go there with the hopes of finding what youre currently in need of. Simply because their inventory is constantly changing. I found this place thru a friend a couple of years ago. And have made my way back about once a month to go over their current stock entirely made up of home improvement / renovating items. Some things offered are brand new, still in the OEM packing, to the slightly used, and a few things, however, are so far gone theyve become unusable but may contain certain features one could incorporate or modify to fit their own project at hand.To any DIY person with a task at home thats going to require some attention make The Rehab Store your first stop.JLM Indianapolis, IN.
Abundant
I love this store I can always find something to fix up my house.
Plenty selection to choose from. Understand the purpose of the restore, but some of the prices 😬
Found a few items I needed. Clean and staff helpful
Great place to get items for your home.
Very friendly and helpful some items are priced we beyond their worth as a whole its a good mine
They do have some good items but no very organize
A great place to find cheap home improvement goods !
It helps people and you can find good deals.
Excellent resource for repurposing all your home needs
We changed a few light fixtures and donated the old ones. Hope someone can use them
Got there a little bit before closing (1Omins) but immediately found what I was looking for within 5 minutes. Although the Staff was EXTREMELY rude, the furniture was in good condition and even priced well. I wouldnt recommend one to shop there if theyre African American, it seems like staff doesnt too much like US.The staff were smiley and friendly to the other customers that lacked african or even foreign heritage. Im not sure why I got attitude, maybe they just wanted to get off of work at that time ?? .... What a way to do customer service !!!! NOTTTTT!!!!!!!
This I a good place to start if you are ok with used items.
Great used store for all your household needs.
Awesome place full of good deals
